Preparing
The next day, October 30th one day till Halloween. In the shack, Amity and the rest of the gang are preparing themselves for a new adventure to solve the puzzle. Amity covers her ears with her hair and picks up the scroll. "All right, Luz's mom is at her vet clinic putting tiny bandages on "hedgehogs". So today, we are going into town to solve this code." said Amity. "Ears, check." said Gus, covering his ears with a beanie hat. "Routes, check." said Vee, holding a map. "Snacks, check." said Willow, holding a bag of snacks. "Human disguise, check." said someone. Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee see someone walking out of the doorway and it's Hunter, wearing a costume of Chief O'Bailey. "Eh?" exclaimed Hunter. Amity puts her two fingers together and puts it against her lips, thinking that she can't accept him going to the world in his human disguise, but Willow approves it. "Whoa, now that is a look." said Willow and took a picture of Hunter with the camera.
Hunter walked between Gus and Vee, with the former amazed and holding the Cosmic Frontier book. "According to Cosmic Frontier, this is what the modern human male wears," said Hunter. Vee grabs the book and looks at it. "This was written in the 90's about the year 2008." said Vee. Hunter chuckles a little. "Yeah, can't wait for that New Year's party," said Hunter. "And did you get to the last chapter?" asked Gus. "Well, O'Bailey is still hiding the fact that he is a Duplicant in hyper disguise. But Captain Avery is still figuring it out." said Hunter. "I think he already knows but-" as Gus is about to finish, Hunter interrupts him. Ah, bup-bup-bup! No, no, no, no, no spoilers!" yelled Hunter, covering his ears avoiding spoilers.
"Hunter, I don't think that the world is ready for the brave fashion choices of the year 2008. Please change." said Amity. Willow stumbles to Amity and covers her mouth. "Don't listen to her!" said Willow. Vee put the book down and checked the map. Aw geez, we're gonna miss the bus." said Vee as she changed into her human disguise. "Oh, it's okay! I'll catch up. There's a transport worm every half hour." said Hunter. Amity, Willow and Vee nod. Ghost meows and joins them, Amity, Gus and Vee walk out of the shack first, and Willow turns back to close the door. Willow looks at Hunter. "I'm gonna borrow that book when you're done with it." said Willow, as she finger guns at Hunter and winks. As Willow closes the door, Hunter sports a happy little blush and takes off his headphones. He turned his head, only to see a mirror and started looking at his own reflection. Flapjacks waddle to the mirror and get next to it. He chirps and Hunter keeps looking at his reflection. "You know, maybe you're right, Flap. even if I'm not who I'm supposed to be….but, I like who I am right now." said Hunter. Flapjack flies to Hunter and gets on his left shoulder. Hunter looks at Flapjack and smiles at him at first, but then he sees a shadow figure walking past the room in the mirror. Hunter gasped and turned around. He looked at the doorway, and thought that the shadow figure was Belos. "Belos?..." said Hunter with a shocked tone of his voice and Flapjack gets a bit scared.
A new adventure
Later that day, Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee are now exploring around Gravesfield. "First stop, The Magic Circle," said Amity with a heroic voice. A montage of them exploring Gravesfield began with Mr. Sandman playing in the background. They entered the Magic Circle shop; where Willow and Gus are looking around with amusement while Amity and Vee are questioning the cashier by showing her the scroll. The cashier looks at the scroll, then she sees something that gets her attention. "Hey!" yelled the cashier. Amity and Vee turn their heads to Gus and Willow and see that they're causing mischief. Gus is inside a barrel and causes it to knock over and Willow is wearing a witch costume and pokes a customer with a pitchfork. Amity and the others are chased out by the cashier, but Willow returns to pay for the costume with a snail then leaves again.
Then they're walking through the park, only Willow and Gus stop at the Witterbane brothers statue. They keep looking at the statues, then they look at each other and shrug their shoulders. Later, they went to the library next, where Willow questions the librarian by showing the scroll. Amity walks around and spotted a card catalog. She expected it to be alive, so she greets it, bows to it and tries to give it candy which it falls off to the ground. A little girl walks by and opens one of the card catalogs which made Amity shout. Amity notices the people looking at her and gets embarrassed, she tries to run away but she trips and falls down. Then, Amity shows a sheriff the scroll. The sheriff looks at the scroll and shrugs. Amity bows to the sheriff and she and the others walk away. The sheriff got confused by Amity bowing to him.
Then at the Gravesfield's local zoo, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Vee hold each other's arms and take a deep breath. They head to the giraffe exhibit while holding each other's arms. They're looking at two giraffes. A giraffe eats some leaves from a tree and turns its head to Amity and the others. Gus bowed to the giraffe without a single response. They all started to leave cautiously, but Willow takes a photo which scares the giraffe and it opens its mouth to reveal a monstrous inside. The giraffe screeches at Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee and they all scream with the music playing in the background starting to fade away.
Later, Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee are sitting on a table, next to the zoo's snack bar. "I don't blame our ancestors for banishing those guys. Yeesh." said Gus. Then, an exhausted father with three children walks by and Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee sees them. "Dad, can we go to the bird hall?" asked the child. "In a minute. How about we eat first?" said the father. "Yeah!" yelled the child. Amity, Willow and Gus look at the father and they look sad because they missed their fathers. Vee looks at the others and sighs. "I was hoping it would not come to this, but…I think I know where to go next." said Vee. Amity, Willow and Gus look at Vee.
It cuts to them outside of the Gravesfield Historical Society. Everyone goes towards the building except for Vee, who is hugging her middle anxiously. Willow noticed Vee getting so anxious. "You can wait here if it's too scary. Luz told me about that creepy witch-hunter wannabe." said Willow. Vee keeps hugging her middle until she inhales deeply. It's okay. We just faced down the giraffe. I can do this!" said Vee. it cuts to the inside of the building as Vee kicks open the door, fists raised and screaming and then she looks. "Huh?" exclaimed Vee. Vee sees that it isn't Jacob the creepy witch-hunter wannabe but her goth friend from Reality Check Camp sporting a new hairstyle and wearing a staff shirt over her outfit, sitting on the front desk with a nameplate that reads "Masha (they/them). Vee walks to Masha. "You're not Jacob," said Vee. Masha sees Vee. "we can all thank Goddess for that. He got fired after he started making edits to the exhibits. And Now, I work part-time." said Masha. Masha looks at Vee, only to notice that something seems familiar. "Say have we met?" asked Masha. Masha gets close to an anxious and nervious Vee. "Something about you seems familiar," said Masha. Vee stuttered nervously at first, then she spoke. "Uh, no. I'm new in town. I just have one of those faces, b-but just the one. The normal amount of face." said Vee. Masha kept looking at Vee and then they started to laugh. "What a coincidence, me too. If you ever need a tour guide, hit me up." said Masha. Masha holds up a pamphlet and gives it to Vee, looking awestruck and starting to blush.
Amity steps out from behind Vee and presents Masha the scroll. "We're actually here to ask you about this old puzzle. Do you know how to decode it?" asked Amity. Masha looks at the puzzle and in the scroll and realizes something. "Ooh, it's a rebus. They dug up a bunch of these in Old Gravesfield." said Masha. Amity and the others look at Masha. "This is a rebus?" asked Gus. "yeah. It's like a riddle where pictures and symbols make up a word." answered Masha. Willow turned her head to Amity. "Wow, I didn't notice that," said Willow. "We all didn't." said Amity. "Come here," said Masha. Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee walk closer to the front desk and Masha points an ear on the rebus. "What do you think that they were trying to say?" asked Masha. "Chop off an ear!" yelled Gus. "no." said Masha. Masha points at the letter H on the rebus. "See the H that comes first. Then combine that with the ear and maybe it means "hear" like to listen. Or "here" as in a place." said Masha. Amity and the others looked at them. "Maybe something is waiting somewhere," said Masha. They hear a telephone ringing. "I'll be right back." said Masha as they got up and walked away. Amity picks up the scroll and walks to the left. Willow, Gus and Vee follow Amity. Amity looks at the rebus. "If this is a portal door, then what about these?" asked Amity. Willow and Gus join Amity to look at the rebus and Vee looks at them. "That ribbon is tied together," said Willow as she points at a ribbon on the rebus. "Next to that hand with a cut." said Gus as he points at a hand with a cut in the rebus. "You don't think…" said Willow. "This is leading us to…" said Gus. Amity, Willow and Gus kept looking at the rebus. "Ti…tan's…blood?" questioned Amity. They kept looking at the rebus, until they realized something and gasped. "Titan's blood!" yelled Amity, Willow and Gus.
Vee was amazed, seeing how their interaction was going. "It's like you're reading each other's minds. You must have been friends forever!" said Vee. Amity, Willow and Gus looked at Vee. "It wasn't always like this," said Amity. Willow looks at Amity. "These past few months have been weird," said Willow. Then Willow pulls out a scrapbook, opens it and shows them all the photos they've taken. "But look at all the new memories we have now," said Willow. Amity grabs the scrapbook and looks at the photos, turning a page after another while keeping looking at the photos. She smiled. "Yeah. i can't wait to show everyone at home." said Amity, closes the scrapbook and holds it. "Maybe the scrapbook could use one more?" asked Vee. Amity, Willow and Gus look at Vee once again, then Willow pulls out the camera and gives it to Vee. "Aw, come here, Vee." said Willow as she, Amity, Gus, and Vee gathered together for a photo. "Everyone says, Giraffes are still terrifying!" yelled Gus. Vee takes the photo and she, Amity, Willow and Gus laughs. As the photo was taken, Vee started to examine and noticed a map behind them. She turns around and sees the map of Old Gravesfield. "Hmmm. hey. That map of Old Gravesfield looks exactly like this." said Vee. Amity looks at the map and examines it by holding the scroll and looks at the rebus and the map at the same time. "Do you think it's a map that leads to a scratch of Titan's blood?" asked Vee. "With that, we could actually create a portal," said Willow. "I can't wait to tell Luz about this!" said Amity with excitement, as she smiled.
Afterwards, Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee walk along the sidewalk in Gravesfield. Willow wrote down everything they found on the Rebus on a notepad, and Amity is smiling the whole time. "We did it! We found the answers to our problems!" said Amity. Willow looked at Amity. "You look pretty happy," said Willow. "I am! Luz would be so happy if we showed this to her!" said Amity. Vee is looking down, blushing a little. Gus noticed that she was blushing. "Are you ok?" asked Gus. Vee looked at Gus. "oh, yeah. I'm fine." said Vee, as she kept looking down and blushing. Gus looked at Vee and realized something, so he made a smug face. "You like that goth from the Gravesfield Historical Society, no?" asked Gus. Vee blushed even more. "What!? Y-yeah right! I just think they're cool!" stammered Vee. Gus chuckled. "It's okay if you like someone, Vee. I don't blame you." said Gus. "Well, if you say so," said Vee. They continue walking along the sidewalk until Amity spotted something. She saw Michael Myers standing behind a green hedge and turned right. "Did you see that?" asked Amity. Willow turned her head to Amity. "See what?" asked Willow. Gus and Vee turn to Amity. "I just saw a weird guy standing behind this weird looking wall tree right in front of us," said Amity. Willow, Gus and Vee look up at the hedge, but they don't see Michael. They kept looking at the green hedge until Gus decided to check it out.
Amity looks at Gus. "Gus, come on. We don't even know what this guy's up to," said Amity. Gus turned to Amity, Willow and Vi and started walking backwards to the hedge. "Don't worry, I'm just gonna look, that's all." said Gus. Gus turned and walked toward the hedge. He looked behind the hedge and saw nothing. Gus turned his head to Amity. "Hey, Amity! I think someone wants to talk to you!" said Gus, clearly provoking her. Amity can see that Gus is messin with her. "Nice try, Gus." said Amity. "No, really! I mean it!" said Gus. Willow and Vee looked at Gus. "uhhhh, what is he talking about?" asked Vee. Willow looked at Gus. "He's just joking, Vee." said Willow. "Oh." exclaimed Vee. Gus started waving at them with his left arm in the air, until someone pulled him away. "Whoa!" exclaimed Gus. Amity, Willow and Vee looked at the hedge. "Ok, Gus. That's enough." said Amity. They kept looking at the hedge, not seeing a sign of Gus. "Gus?..." said Amity. Willow looked at the hedge, knowing that something was wrong. "Something's not right." said Willow. Amity, Willow and Vee start walking slowly towards the hedge, to see if Gus is okay. "Gus?" said Vee. They kept walking to the hedge. Amity stood close to the hedge, as she was about to peek her head behind it, Gus popped out and gave them a boo. Amity, Willow and Vee screamed and Gus started laughing. "Titan damnit, Gus!" yelled Amity. "Oh man, you should have seen the look on your faces!" laughed Gus. Amity, Willow and Vee start walking away and Gus walks along. "Yeah. very funny, Gus." said Willow. They left the scene, without realizing that Michael was standing right where they stood.
Meanwhile at Noceda's residence, Hunter is sitting on the couch in the basement, with Flapjack sitting on his shoulder. Hunter is getting really anxious. Flapjack chirps and Hunter turns his head to Flapjack. "Did you know about this? That he was here? I can tell you're hiding something!" said Hunter. Flapjack chirps and tilts his head to the left. Hunter sighs and replies "Sorry. I shouldn't take this out on you. I'm just scared." Flapjack gets worried. Hunter picks up Flapjack and walks to the cage. He opens the cage and puts Flapjack inside. Flapjack looks at Hunter. "don't worry, Flap. If Belos is really here, I'll keep you safe." said Hunter as he closes the cage and walks away. Flapjack chirps. It cuts to outside of Noceda's residence, where Hunter opens the door and walks outside. Hunter sees Amity, Willow, Gus and Vee walking down to the house, having a conversation and Camila's car comes, driving to the house. Camila parks the car in front of the house. Hunter, Amity and the others see the car. Camila got out of her car, along with Dr. Shatner wearing a brown coat and a brown fedora hat. Amity walked to Camila and waved. Camila sees Amity, she gives her a pat on the shoulder and a smile. The others walked to the house and entered. Hunter sees Vee walking towards the door, just as she was about to enter, Hunter got up and tapped her on the shoulder. Vee turns her head, only to see Hunter. "Oh, hey Hunter. Is something wrong?" asked Vee. Hunter sighs and he answers the question, only saying Belos' name. "Belos." said Hunter. Vee gasped in shock.
Someone's in the shack
Meanwhile, Hunter and Vee are standing outside in front of the shack. Vee looks at Hunter. "Are you sure you saw him? I thought The Collector destroyed Belos." asked Vee. "Yeah. I'm- I'm sure." said Hunter. Vee looks at Hunter. "Hey. We can wait for the others if you-" as Vee tries to finish, Hunter interrupts her. "No! We have to take care of this ourselves." said Hunter and Vee kept looking at Hunter in silence. Hunter sighs and says "Titan, I hate this! I was never scared of the Golden Guard." Vee sees two masks laying on the ground, a mask that resembles Eda and the other that resembles Hooty and she picks them up. "Then how about we bring back some of that masked confidence, huh?" asked Vee, as she put a mask on a growl. Hunter looks at Vee and smiles. It cuts to the inside of the shack, where Vee and Hunter bust in. Vee is wielding a bat and wearing the Eda mask and Hunter is wielding a rake and wearing the Hooty mask. "All right, Belos! What's about to happen should be relatively painless, if you just do what we say." said Hunter. "That's right! So come out with your hands behind your creepy manipulating dumb head!" yelled Vee. as they looked around the shack, they walked to the doorway. They looked at the left side and Vee moved the spider webs out of the way. They heard a creak and it made them jump and look around. The wind howls in the air, Vee and Hunter hear some objects rattling inside a room and they see the basement's door. The scene cuts to the inside of the basement, Vee opens the door and she and Hunter walk downstairs. Vee flicks the light switch on. They looked around the basement and heard something rattling which made them startled. Vee and Hunter see a wardrobe and something is rattling inside. Vee and Hunter sneak to the wardrobe and Vee grabs the door handle and opens the door. They both gasp and they see a possum. The possum hisses at them and runs out of the wardrobe. "Oh, thank goodness. It's just a little possum." said Vee as he put down the bat and took off the mask. Hunter just puts the rake down. "No one's here." said Hunter. "I guess it was just in my head." he sighed.
Vee closes the door of the wardrobe and looks at Hunter. "Well, can't blame you for being paranoid after everything you and the others have been through lately." said Vee. "yeah. You know, I just wanna make sure that everyone's safe." said Hunter. "Same. and that includes you too." said Vee. Hunter looks at Vee. "What?" asked Hunter and Vee replied "Yeah. Gonna make sure that you're safe too, Hunter. You're family now." "Oh." exclaimed Hunter as he turned his head to his right. Hunter chuckled a bit and then he started to shed a tear. He sniffs a little and starts sobbing. Vee looks at Hunter, putting her hand on his right shoulder and smiles. Hunter takes off the mask and says "ah, this mask is pretty gross now." Vee and Hunter laugh a bit and they walk upstairs. "Let's get back before anyone worries," said Vee as she turns off the lights from the basement. "Yeah. Everything's okay. Belos is gone." said Hunter with relief. Vee closes the door. It cuts to them, walking out of the corridor, walking towards the front door and walking out of the shack with Vee closing the door. As they left the shack, a drop of blood just fell off the ceiling, crashing down to the floor of the hangout room, then the entire scene faded to pitch black.
Costumes for Halloween
Meanwhile at the Noceda Residence, Vee and Hunter enter the living room where Amity, Camila, Dr. Shatner, Willow and Gus are. "Hey, we're back! And we bought, uh, cars." said Hunter. Vee elbows him and he turned his head to her. In the living room, it shows Amity and Willow with boxes of Halloween decorations and Halloween costumes, Camila is holding a cup of coffee and Dr. Shatner is sitting on a chair, having a chat with Camila. Amity sees Hunter and Vee. "hey guys. We're designing our costumes for the Haunted Hayride." said Amity. Gus walks to Hunter and has a surprise for him. "Guess what I've got planned? " asked Gus and put on a futuristic headset. "I'm gonna be Captain Avery and you're..." Gus pulls out a little O'Bailey's device and Hunter gasps. "Chief Engineer O'Bailey?" he asked. Hunter grabs the device and he squeals with pure happiness. Camila looks at Hunter and Gus and she gulps. "How do you know about Cosmic Frontier?" asked Camila. "All the books in your basement." answered Hunter. Camila laughs nervously. "Funny how things just show up in basements, right? Without you hiding or putting them there. Yep, Life sure is full of surprises." said Camila with a panic tone and laughed nervously again. Vee, Hunter and Gus look at Camila. "Cool! Humans freak out just like us." said Gus. "It'll be fun. We want to experience these weird human traditions." said Willow, as she puts on vampire teeth and laughs. "And I thought Luz and I could take inspiration from...Good Witch Azura the movie 2: The Betrayanning!" said Amity as she turned on the TV.
The movie called Good Witch Azura the movie 2: The Betrayanning has been shown on TV. The TV shows Good Witch Azura holding Hecate while fighting with a villain that resembles Luz named Villainous Lucy. "Hecate! I'll protect you!" said Azura to Hecate on TV. "Give her over, Azura. It's for your own good." said Villainous Lucy on TV. "Never!" yelled Azura on TV, as she shoots her with her magic staff but Villainous Lucy blocks it. Amity pulls out a drawing of her with Luz dressed as Azura and Hecate and shows it to everyone. "I could be Hecate and Luz could be Azura." said Amity. Everyone looks at the drawing. "Oh wow, that looks nice." said Camila. "You know, dressing up in costumes is a good way to express yourself, even when it comes to your favorite characters from every media," said Dr. Shatner. Amity nodded and smiled at first, but that quickly turned into a small sad face and she looked down. "But, that's not going to happen. Luz is in the sanitarium." said Amity sadly. Everyone looked at Amity. Gus and Hunter looked at each other for a bit and Dr. Shatner stood up. "I know it's hard that you had something planned for an event but your loved one cannot participate in it. I get the feeling." said Dr. Shatner. Amity turns her head to Dr. Shatner. "And what should I do when my girlfriend is at the sanitarium?" asked Amity. "There is another Halloween next year. Once Luz Noceda recovers completely, you two will enjoy this holiday together." replied Dr. Shatner. "I mean, he does have a point," said Camila. Amity sighs softly. "I guess you're right." said Amity. Dr. Shatner walks to a hanger and grabs his coat and hat. "Now, I must go back to the sanitarium. It was nice having a chat with you. " said Dr. Shatner. Camila finished drinking her coffee, she walked to Hunter and handed him her coffee cup. "Would you mind taking this to the kitchen?" asked Camila. "Sure thing." said Hunter as he walked out of the living room, taking Camila's coffee cup to the kitchen. Camila pulled out her car keys and she turned her head to Dr. Shatner. "Let's go." said Camila. Dr. Shatner nodded and started walking away, but Amity stopped him by his hand. Dr. Shatner turns his head to Amity. "Please, promise that you'll help and protect her." begged Amity with a worried look on her face. Dr. Shatner smiled a little. "I promise," said Dr. Shatner. Dr. Shatner walked away with Camila. Amity smiled a little and she started to watch the Good Witch Azura movie on TV. Gus and Vee have their two fingers against her lips while looking at Amity. Gus looked at Vee. "She's really an awesome girlfriend for Luz," said Gus. Vee nodded.
It cuts to outside of the Noceda residence, where Camila opened the door and walked out with Dr. Shatner. A neighbor who lives next door to the Noceda residence named Leonard is putting a black bag of trash into the bin and closes it. Leonard sees Camila and Dr. Shatner walking down the steps and walks to the car. "Hey neighbor!" greeted Leonard. Camila turned her head, only to see Leonard. "Hey Leonard!" greeted Camila. "Do you want to come over for dinner? My wife made pasta," said Leonard. "I would love to, but I have to take Luz's doctor to the sanitarium." said Camila as she opened the car door with the keys and got in the car. Camila opens the door for Dr. Shatner and he gets in the car. "Oh, ok. If you need anything, just let me know." said Leonard. "I will." said Camila. She closed the door, started the car and drove away. Leonard walks towards his house and enters. As he walked in and closed the door, he could hear his wife calling him from the kitchen. "Honey, dinner's ready!" called Leonard's wife from the kitchen. "Coming!" yelled Leonard as he started down to the kitchen, but he heard a knock on the door. Leonard turned his head to the door. "Now who could that be?" asked Leonard. Leonard walks to the door and opens it. Just as he was about to say hi to someone who knocked the door, that certain someone is Michael Myers and he stabbed Leonard through his lower jaw. Michael pushes him inside the house, walks in and closes the door.
