Chapter 2 Gaining Trust (Teddygozilla)
A.N. – So, like I said in the previous episode, this will be mostly written in a third-person point of view focused on Aelita. I won't be doing a blow by blow of the episodes. I got a future story that does that. So, let's begin!
Short Summary – Aelita arrives in the past, hoping that she arrived before Xana's first attack. She knows that she is somewhere in the past, but how far back is unknown. She quickly gets set up before Xana launches his next attack.

Shortly after, Aelita opens her eyes to find out she's back in the past. She appears in the scanner room, and she hopes she was in a time period before Xana's first attack. She climbs up to the laboratory and access's the supercomputer. She finds files but has no idea on what day she arrived on.
"Great, I could be back around the first year of fighting Xana, or close to when Xana obtained the keys to Lyoko," Aelita says to herself. "Let's see if I can find myself." Aelita scans Lyoko and finds her past self in a tower. "So, this is before Jeremy rematerialized me. But I still don't know where I am or when I am. Either way, I only got a limited amount of time before Xana becomes active again."
Aelita inserts the disc with an updated version of her Lyoko avatar outfit. She uploads a version to the supercomputer as she will be immune and she will not be recognized by the others. She then creates a simulation bubble in a lone mountain in the mountain sector as a safe haven. She puts a cloaking program on it so Xana or Jeremy can't detect it. She then uses her Lyoko door to go and customize her safe haven.
Aelita arrives in the mountain sector from some unseen door. Her avatar has become darker and now she represents a fallen angel, rather than an angel that she had back around Xana's initial defeat. Her wings are now black rather than bright pink. She felt this represented how she was feeling at this point as she was going to have to play both sides. She also thought that the supercomputer would give her a different avatar if she scanned herself in this time period. She entered her simulation bubble.
She enters the winter home that she had with her father and mother before she disappeared. She goes into the house and uses her memories to create happy moments in her life represented in pictures. Some of these include, freeing William from Xana, her and Jeremy's 1st kiss, 1st date, and weeding and honeymoon, and other various events in her life. She would use this as a safe haven to get away from everything for a break. With everything set up, she returned to see if she can find out when she is in the past.
Aelita heads to Kadic and investigates. Since most of Xana's attacks involved atta hopefully would stumble onto something that would give her a clue. She walked by a poster board and saw a message posted on it. She went and read it. "School dance? Okay, so that gives me an idea of wen I am. If the supercomputer is already on, it must be before Xana's teddy bear attack and after Xana's first attack. Which means…oh no. I got to find out where Milly puts her teddy bear and before Xana takes it for himself."
She runs up to where the girl dormitory is. However, when she tries to open the door and head upstairs, her and Milly run into each other. "I'm sorry" Aelita tells her.
"Oh, like you care. All the other bug kids and adults don't!" She runs off, crying.
"Hey, did you see Milly run by here?" Tamiya shows up and asks her.
"Red-headed little girl?" Aelita asks.
"Yeah."
"She ran that way." Aelita points her in the right direction. She decides to follow so she can intercept Xana.
Aelita hid behind a tree and a bush and waited for Milly to emerge. Tamiya has already arrived and was trying to get her attention. Milly opened the door and Aelita quickly went into the tool shed as they walked away. Just as she was entering Xana was emerging from the light. Aelita needed to get his attention. She quickly grabs the teddy bear before Xana has the chance to infect it. The ghost notices her and tackles her. It tries to posses her instead and within this moment, she can hear and talk to Xana.
"What is going on? I can't seem to gain control of you?" Xana says.
"You're not powerful enough yet to take me or anyone at this point" Aelita responds.
"Who are you? And what do you have against me?"
"Who I am is none of your concern. What I want is to help you."
"Help me? Why? Does it look like I need help!?"
"Not now, but trust me, you will."
"How so?"
"Don't ask me how, but I know about your struggle against the Lyoko Warriors. I can help you attack them in ways they never suspect. All I need is your trust."
"Not gonna happen."
"Well, if you ever change your mind, I'm sure you'll find me."
"Not gonna happen either. I am bound to the supercomputer and can only be free when I activate a tower."
"I'll be on Lyoko then. I know of everything."
"I'll find you on there for sure, but for now, stay out of my way and out of my affairs!"
The ghost expelled out of her and proceeded with the original plan. It infected the teddy bear, and it growled as Xana gained control. It stood up and walked out. "He'll come back. He'll need my help after this attack fails."
Aelita now knew where she was in time, and as much as she wanted to help the others and stop some events from happening, she needed to make sure everything played out as it did in order to ensure the future gets rebuilt. Aelita just waited around the city until the night came. This is when Jeremy and Odd would head off as Ulrich was trying to protect Yumi from Xana. She thought if she couldn't assist the others on Lyoko, she would help Ulrich and Yumi escape Xana.
She headed to where Yumi's house was and found Ulrich trying to get in contact with Yumi.
"She hears you, you know" Aelita tells him.
"I don't have time for this! So just move on!" Ulrich tells her.
"Sorry pal, but you are my business."
"Oh yeah, how?"
"Casanova, turn around."
Ulrich turned around to meet Yumi. "Ah Yumi?"
"You don't need to be mean to everybody Ulrich" Yumi told him.
"Sorry, but I'm kind of stressed right now. You know him."
"Xana?" Yumi whispered.
Aelita looked around waiting for when Xana would come rampaging through. She saw him approaching. "Hey, you two, I'd hate to interrupt, but unless you want to die together, I'd suggest we get moving."
They saw what Xana has done to Milly's teddy bear. It has grown in size to a giant and also had its rage increased.
"I don't trust this girl, but I agree with her just this once. Come on! Let's go!" Ulrich tells Yumi.
"Follow me!" Aelita tells them as they run away from Xana's rampaging monster.
The three ran through the streets of the town as the rampaging giant teddy bear followed them. The towns residents were all screaming and running away. The monster was about to catch them but Aelita spotted an empty building. "Right there!"
The three went inside and tuned off the light as the monster walked by. As it stomped, the glass shattered around them. Aelita noticed both Yumi and Ulrich blush as they got close to each other. 'Why those two broke up, I'll never know' she thought.
Ulrich's phone rings at this time. "Jeremy, it's me. Yumi's with me. We're heading back to the school to evacuate everybody. Tell Odd to move it. It's getting rough around here."
The three take off to the school to prepare for evacuation. The eventually reach the entrance. Yumi moves the phone from her ear. "Odd still hasn't found the activated tower" Yumi reports.
"Listen, I know you don't trust me, but believe me. If we don't get everyone to safety, that'll will be the last of our concerns" Aelita tells them.
"She's right. Let's focus on our mission. Let Odd handle his. You and Yumi clear the dorms, I'll handle the gym" Ulrich tells them.
"No way, I'm going with you. Yumi can manage it herself. Listen, only Milly and Tamiya should be inside. Get them and I'll protect Ulrich."
"You think it's gonna show?" Yumi asks.
"Don't ask how, but I have a feeling." Aelita had to sound as little suspicious as possible to avoid raising concern among the group.
Aelita and Ulrich arrive at the gym. "You inform everyone. I'll guide them out" Aelita tells Ulrich.
Ulrich walks in and tries to find the best way to warn everyone. A while later the principal starts to announce the beauty queen.
"And now everyone, this year once again, it's time to elect the young lady who in your view, combines more than any other girl, charm, grace, beauty and elegance" Delmas starts.
"Come on Ulrich. We're running out of time!" Aelita starts to worry, knowing Xana must be close.
"And here is our first candidate." Sissi starts to step forward.
"Stop! Listen to what I have to say. You all have to get out of here. We have to evacuate the gym. Now, keep calm. I'm not joking, this is serious. We are about to be attacked by a giant teddy bear" Ulrich says as everyone laughs at him. Aelita heads to his position.
"Ha! I knew it! I saw it too! I saw the giant teddy bear too!" Jim speaks up. The kids continue to laugh.
"Quiet! Quiet, shut up, all of you, you bunch of idiots!" Sissi shouts. "Can't you see what he's trying to do? It's a trick, I tell you, a trick to keep me from winning again this year!"
Aelita takes the microphone. "This is real! I know it sounds ridiculous, but this is a serious threat."
"Hey, who are you?!"
"None of your business! Now we all have to evacuate now!"
"Yeah, right. A gigantic teddy bear, come on! Why not King Kong while you're at it?"
Suddenly the wall smashes and they all see the giant teddy bear. They all scream and run in fear.
"Come on! We've got to get out of here!" Aelita grabs Ulrich and they run.
The teddy bear slams its fist down and the force from it sends Aelita and Ulrich tumbling across the ground. The windows also smash. "Ulrich, no…" Aelita says weakly. The teddy bear was about to smash Ulrich when it suddenly stops. "Thank you Aelita." Yumi also shows up.
"Ulrich, are you okay?" Yumi asks as she bends down.
"Yeah, sure," he replies as Yumi hugs him. "Ready for a trip into the past Yumi?" They look at each other and Aelita smiles as the return in time happens.
Aelita had some unfinished business with Xana. She used her Lyoko door to appear in the yet undiscovered sector 5. "Alright, I know you're here" Aelita says as a communication interface pops up.
'I'm surprised you know about this place. The others don't' Xana types.
'I know more than you think,' Aelita replies. 'So, you want to reconsider my proposal?'
'Yes. This last attack was a major disappointment. How will you assist me?'
'I'll guide you in the right direction. But you must follow my commands. Only together can we succeed.'
'Deal.'
Aelita now had Xana. All she needed now was her friends.
A.N. – Alright, I know this wasn't word for word but like I said it follows Aelita not the others. The others later will figure her out, but not for a while.
