Chapter 5 Our New Ally (Log Book)
A.N. – Okay, so this is the last chapter where the future Aelita works to gain the trust of the Lyoko Warriors. The one in her crosshairs this time is Ulrich. How? Only one way to find out.
Short Summary – With almost all the Lyoko Warriors trusting her, Aelita sets her sights on Ulrich, but after Xana decides to take his next attack a little too far, Aelita steps in to lend a hand.

The weeklong vacation ended, and all the students returned to go about their normal lives at Kadic. Aelita emerged from her virtual home and then returned to the real world to find a way for Xana to attack Ulrich directly. But when Aelita returned to the grounds she saw the unimaginable…Ulrich and Sissi hanging out?!
"What is he doing? He practically despised her" Aelita asked, puzzled by the sight.
"I bet you guessing what's also happening too" Odd asks her.
"So, I guess you trust me?"
"If Einstein vouches for you, then you must be good. Plus, your Lyoko skills are not bad either."
'I wish I could tell him that I know how to fight from all you three, but I can't blow my cover' Aelita thinks to herself.
"So, anyway, Ulrich lost something this morning and it looks like Sissi knows where it is."
'I would love to put a dent in her plans, but I was still trapped at this time.'
"I don't think she knows. She knows how to use it against him" Aelita adds.
"Typical blackmail case" Jeremy concludes.
"Does Yumi know?"
"Not yet, but she will. We just need to find out what Ulrich lost and then we can have a slight advantage" Odd replies.
The day goes on as usual and then when the class lets out, Ulrich explains the situation. He goes back to Sissi just as Aelita arrives.
"So, the problem?" Aelita asks.
"A diary and the only problem with that is that some of the stories mention Lyoko and Xana" Jeremy tells her and Odd.
'Great. I got enough problems working with Xana, now I got to worry about this mess.'
Aelita walks out to the front gates to see a fully electric bus arriving. The door opens.
"Are you the teacher who ordered me?" The driver asks.
"No. I don't work here" Aelita tells him.
"At least tell me if this is Kadic Academy?"
"You're in the right place."
"Good."
"Is this bus fully electric?"
"Yup, 100%. No emissions and no gas. This bus is just the beginning of the new electric vehicle age."
'Perfect. I have an idea,' Aelita thought as she headed to the woods.
She uses her Lyoko door to enter the mountain sector. "Xana, we got work to do."
"What's next?"
"An attack right up your alley. There's a bus at the academy that's fully electric. You can take care of the rest."
"Perfect. This will be easy."
Xana then went to activate a tower and take the bus for his own intentions. With that, Aelita returned to Earth.
Aelita headed back to the academy and saw Yumi running up to Jeremy's room. "Where are you off too in a hurry?"
"Jeremy said he had something important to tell me about Ulrich."
"Prepare to be surprised and a little bit angry."
A little bit later, Yumi emerges holding a book. But there's only one problem, its pink?
"A little too girly for Ulrich, don't you think?" Aelita asks.
"This is Sissi's not Ulrich's. But now we have leverage over her. This will help us find Ulrich's diary. Oh, Jeremy also phoned too. He thinks Xana may be active again."
"Ok, I'll be ready."
Aelita arrives at the factory in time to for Jeremy to get off the phone with Ulrich. "Ulrich just called. Xana has taken control of the bus that he's in."
"And problem with that is?"
"I can't localize him fast enough. But I'm working on it."
"I got a better idea."
"What are you gonna do?"
"Track him myself."
"But what if we need you?"
"I've got an ace in the hole Jeremy. Nothing will happen. I promise."
Once Aelita was out of range of the cameras. She used her Lyoko band to turn in to her fallen angel form on Earth. Aelita has a comm link set up to Jeremy's earpiece. "Jeremy, can you hear me?"
She hears a scream before he responds. "Don't scare me like that!"
"Sorry, but I have a com link set up with you. I'm gonna be feeding you the directions and locations that the bus passes, so listen to me carefully."
"Ok, do your thing." Aelita swipes her bracelet, and the wings pop out of her. She takes to the skies to try to find Ulrich's bus. "Last thing Ulrich told me was that he was at the corner of Washington Street and Franklin Avenue."
"Ok, I start heading in that direction and looking around."
"I've just got another update. Constellation intersection" Jeremy tells her.
"I see them."
"Do you see anything that Xana could use to his advantage?"
"Nothing out of the ordinary yet."
"I still have yet to figure out what Xana wants to do with the bus."
"Keep looking Jeremy. Something's bound to pop up."
Aelita soared through the sky, trying to keep up as well as keep an eye on the bus.
"I think I found Xana's plans. He's planning to launch it at the petrochemical plant."
'Again Xana? I though we discussed this already.' "How much time left till impact?"
"Minutes. You should get back here now. Yumi won't be able to do it alone and I don't want to leave Aelita alone until Odd arrives."
"No, I'll track the thing. I've got an ace Jeremy. If it comes to it, I'll use it."
"What ace are you talking about?"
"Just know it something you wouldn't do."
As Aelita continues to follow, she sees the police start to follow. "Oh great, now the law is on them. Jeremy, the police are now following them."
"Xana ain't going to stop for them. He is determined to go all the way on this one" Jeremy replies as Aelita follows.
"They're going to go left."
Just as Aelita says that the bus starts to turn left and continues its route to the plant.
Ulrich Point of View
"My phone," Ulrich asks Sissi. "Jeremy, how are things back on Lyoko?" He pauses. "Wait, say that again?" He pauses again. "Are you crazy Jeremy? We hardly know her, and you left her to navigate for us?" He pauses for the last time. "Well, I'll let it go this time. We'll talk about this after the situation is over."
Aelita's Point of View
Aelita sees the complex in the distance and sees another left turn coming. "They're going left again." The rest of the way is a straight shot and Aelita knows that whatever Xana is doing on Lyoko won't allow them to deactivate the tower in time. "Jeremy, keep them calm. I'm playing my ace in the hole."
"What exactly are you doing?" Jeremy asks.
"Something I don't want to do." Aelita deactivates her comm link and turns back into her normal human form in a secluded area. She uses her Lyoko door and enters. "Xana, we got an issue!"
"Now what?" Xana asks.
"I though I said no nuclear catastrophes!"
"You did, and this is on a smaller scale."
"It doesn't matter whether the people on that bus matter to you or not? They matter to me and that's all I care about."
"Your humans and compassion towards one another? It's so disappointing."
The bus reaches the complex and smashes through the gate.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"All you humans do is fight and kill. Humanity would be better off if you thin the herd. And this must happen on a regular basis to make sure humanity stays in line."
"In a perfect world, maybe. But humans are imperfect people living in an imperfect world. And if you want the keys, you will stop this attack."
"Always using the keys as leverage. Luckily for you, the keys are my only way out. I'll do it. But be warned, once I get the keys, I won't be so forgiving." Xana deactivated the tower and the bus slowed to a halt.
Jeremy's Point of View
"Another tower deactivation. Maybe this is her 'ace in the hole'? But if she has this power, then why doesn't she use it? Must be for extreme situations. Anyway, return to the past now."
The whole group is at the lab when time is reversed, discussing the 'mystery girl' situation.
"She knows of us and by the looks of things, she ain't going anywhere" Yumi says.
"That doesn't mean we allow her to join our group. How do we know she can be trusted?" Ulrich adds.
"Looks like she dedicated to helping us. She may be a vital asset against Xana. And need as many as possible to fend him off until we rescue Aelita" Jeremy replies.
"Plus, she's also a skilled fighter. If we ever need help fighting Xana in the real world, she'll be there to help us out" Odd adds.
"Fine, recruit her. But if she messes up, we boot her" Ulrich says, and they all agree.
Aelita returned to the campus to check on her progress with getting her friends to trust her. Suddenly, she was approached by all of them.
"Hey, we need to talk about something. Come to my room," Jeremy tells her. Once there, Jeremy tells her about the group's decision. "We decided to recruit you into our group. We don't know your connection to the supercomputer or how you have an avatar already preloaded, but we all officially trust you enough to know you won't betray us."
"Thank you." She starts to leave when Jeremy notices her bracelet.
"What's up with that bracelet?"
"Oh this, it's just a gadget from where I come from. Every one of my friends have it."
Aelita leaves before thinking about how this will all end. 'They may trust me now, but when it's time for Xana to gain the keys, their trust may be shattered in me.'
Aelita headed back to her home in the mountain sector. But she was interrupted by Xana.
"I have one quick question for you? How is it that you can instantly teleport onto Lyoko from anywhere in the real world?"
"I have a bracelet that allows me to access Lyoko whenever. The only catch is that only I can use it, so if you're thinking of using it for yourself, you can forget about it."
"Oh, don't worry. With you by my side, that little bracelet of yours is just another tool for your arsenal for us."
Aelita couldn't risk Xana knowing what this thing could do if it was in his hands. This could allow him to bring what he wants into the real world…or even allow himself to escape without the keys…
A.N. – This one took a little more brain power to write. I had to imagine a couple of different scenarios for this episode to come together. I decided not to have Aelita ever find Ulrich's diary in this one as she is not the person to invade someone's privacy. PM me with story ideas if you have any!
