Back on the seas, Maddie and Sprig were still at the mercy of the deadly jaguar shark. They also have to deal with keeping the spooky magical girl's siblings safe, Maddie was not gonna let them become shark bait.
Speaking of the sisters, they were off to the side of the boat as the older frogs talked strategy to get out of their predicament "Alright Sprig, you understand the plan?" Maddie asked.
"Yep, while we keep the shark at bay, your sisters will brew a specific mixture that is irritating to the beast's nerves and vision. And while the beast is incapacitated, I perform the Plantar Hunting Dance." Sprig stated.
"Got the recipe right here!" Ginger pointed to the page, "Lavender and Rosemary you start cooking, I've been working on speed reading."
Sprig hops onto the nose of the boat, Maddie hopped beside him "You sure about this?" Sprig asked her, "Ivy told me you kicked a lot of robot butt years ago, but-"
"I appreciate the concern but don't worry about me Sprig, let's just take care of this beast." Maddie gently took his hand.
Sprig exchanged deep glances with Maddie as he clutched her hand, 3 seconds later they looked away before shaking the thoughts out and hopping into battle.
"Alright girls, you got the bag of ingredients?" Ginger asks her triplet sisters.
"Right here." Lavender opened up a satchel of witchcraft items.
"Alright, first we need a cup of elderly tears." Ginger read the list.
Sprig and Maddie meanwhile had swam out to lure the creature away, the striped fin followed after the two frogs before sinking down. "Alright break away on 3... 1... 2... 3!" Sprig counted before he and Maddie pushed apart as the jaguar shark launched up between them.
The Plantar shooting a boomshroom at the ferocious feline fish's eye with his slingshot, while Maddie tossed threw a bag of itch powder at the shark's other eye.
The beast roared before whipping both frogs with its tail, the monster snarled and growled as he squinted its eyes at the two blobs of blue in inferblue vision. Which is like inferred but instead of detecting heat signatures it detects the opposite.
The beast charges blindly, only for Maddie to poof her and Sprig away with a smoke bomb. Sharky looks around before he was hit by an exploding boom shroom, he turned to see Sprig at the helm of his and Maddie's boat shooting bo shrooms at their attacker.
Maddie having rowed the boat away from her sisters so they can focus on the mixture without interference from the jaguar shark.
The beast then shoots it's way towards our heroes before, when it gets close Sprig jabs the beast with a spear that was attached to the boat. With the tip lodged into the monster's head, the shark roared and started to drag the heroes's boat around the sea in circles.
Meanwhile, "Pickled toad fingers." Ginger read, which Lavender added, "Pinch of sulfur." Rosemary added the pinch, "Eye of heron." Ginger tossed in, "Lemon juice." Rosemary squeezed a lemon into the cauldron as Lavender stirred "And the last ingredient, aphrodisiac powder. It's effects will clash with the jaguar shark's violent nature and ferocious behavior."
Rosemary checks and panics, "We're out!"
"What?!?!" Ginger exclaims.
"Yeah we used the last of it to make the love potion we spiked Sprig's bread with!" Lavender mentioned.
"Well great! We're doomed!" Ginger exclaims, "Oh why did we have to meddle in our sister's love life and drug an unavailable frog?!?!"
"How could we have predicted we'd be attack by a thought to be extinct species?" Lavender shrugged.
Ginger called out to her eldest sister as she and Sprig were dragged by the jaguar shark, "MADDIE! WE'RE MISSING AN INGREDIENT!"
"JUST OUR LUCK!" Maddie replied before the shark then flings the boat the heroes were on away, the boat skipping across the water leaving the frogs dizzy.
"Well now what?" Sprig questioned after both frogs got their bearings back, "We fight him fisticuffs on water, it's too fast!"
"Well at least we can track it." Maddie noted the spear was still in the shark's pelt. She then pulls out some things, "I can make a chilly bomb that can freeze him for long enough for us to escape." She then quickly mixes the bomb with some liquid nitrogen she got from the dark market. "Now to add a couple boom shrooms." She drops two explosive fungi into the bag and taps them to make them glow.
Sprig takes the bomb and loads his slingshot, following the spear "Aaaaaaaand."
He fires.
An icy explosion was heard.
"WOOOOOOOOO!" The tadpole sisters celebrated as Maddie and Sprig chuckled before embracing.
"We did it!" Sprig lifted her up and twirled her.
"We actually beat a jaguar shark!" Maddie exclaimed before she sees the ice block rise up, but... no striped shark creature. "Something doesn't feel right."
"What do you- WOAH!"
Sprig falls over with Maddie as they felt the raft shake as from underneath the jaguar shark lifts up the boat their on with its clawed paws, roaring as Maddie's sisters panicked. "NO!"
The jaguar shark threw the boat full force at a nearby floating rock, with the boat shattering on in impact.
Sprig groaned as he held onto a piece of driftwood, "Ugh, I'm really gonna need a chiropractor after this." He then gasped when he saw Maddie floating limp in the water, her head having been hit against the rock. He quickly swam over to her and pulled her in before she can sink into the water, he can feel drops of blood coming from where her cranium made impact.
The shark snarled as he smelled the blood in the water, the striped murderous fish cackled before he charged at the two frogs. The tadpoles tried what they can to slow it down by tossing some junk at it, but the shark's sight was locked on the blood stained frogs.
Time slowed as Sprig looked down at Maddie, who's eyes were groggily opening. "Uuuuuughh, S-Sp-Sprig?" Maddie coughed as she looked up at the frog she's desired for so long.
"I'm sorry Maddie... I don't... I don't think we're gonna make it." Sprig said as he looked down to the frog that made his thoughts all out of wack.
"At least... I'll die with the frog I love." Maddie sighed, "Circumstances be darned, Ivy was a lucky girl." She weakly cupped Sprig's cheek, the pink frog groaned as he pulled Maddie in for a strained embrace.
"I... should have came to a conclusion sooner." Sprig whispered as images of all the good memories he shared with Maddie.
The shame cage from the last year's potluck, the Hunter Vs Alaistair debate, 3rd grade music class, their hunt for witchcraft ingredients.
Both frogs braced for the sweat embrace of death, the jaguar's shark's jaws opened wide...

Ginger, Lavender, and Rosemary gasped. Sprig and Maddie opened their eyes to see the shark get hit away by a giant blue fish, "Whaaaaaaaa?" Sprig goes before the fish scoops up the frogs onto its back and carries them back to the pollywogs.
"Maddie!" The little girls cried when Sprig and Maddie were lowered into their boat.
"Thank you, majestic creature." Sprig thanked the merlin, who then turned to the jaguar shark. Both creatures locked eyes and did battle, the marlin dodging the clawed fin swipes.
"This is insane!" Ginger exclaimed as Lavender and Rosemary applied some first aid to Maddie, "We should get out of here while we can!"
"Not while the jaguar shark is still up and swimming." Sprig said.
"If only we had some Aphrodisiac powder, but we-"
"I heard you guys while I was fighting." Sprig said before looking into his bag, "Would this be enough?" He holds out a bunch of breadsticks that Ginger saw had each had a pink hue on the tip.
"That will do." Ginger grabs the breadstick and breaks off the pink glow from each breadstick, which does the trick. She then realized "Wait these are from the basket I brought." She looked to Sprig.
Maddie then put the concoction in a pouch, "Just get the Merlin to bring the shark over here."
Sprig handed Maddie his slingshot before he did a falcon call, which alerted the Merlin and the fish swam right at the boat. The jaguar shark following suit, Maddie aimed the slingshot towards the incoming fish, "Gotta time this right."
Sprig took Maddie's shoulder as he helped pull back the pouch for more force, which made Maddie fight a blush knowing that this wasn't because of magic.
The marlin barreled towards the group as the pollywogs bit their stubby hands like humans bite their nails in stressful situations, the shark trying to catch up with his prey.
"A little more..."
The marlin sweated as her Predator was inching closer.
"Smile you son of a b-"
Maddie and Sprig shoot the pouch at the shark, who's maw was open as the marlin side-swam for the pouch to shoot down the shark's gullet.
Once the contents was in his stomach, the shark violently coughed and roared distressed.
"YEAH!/ALRIGHT/NICE!" The pollywogs exclaimed.
The marlin swam up to the boat, the frogs gingery hopped on her back. Along with Maddie's sisters, "Now for the finishing touches." Sprig said.
The five frogs then shifted their right foot across the back of the fish, which looked away as Sprig led the Flours into his family's hunting dance. The shark coughed before it caught the frogs's movements, his mind wandering around as the five land dwellers rose up and finished off the hunting dance.
The shark limped in a hypnotized state, Sprig patted the marlin to let her know it's time to go. The marlin nodded before she swam away, as Maddie looked up to Sprig and smiled.
