Welcome back pups, I was originally going to release a new story today, but this has been ready for weeks now and I want to see the reactions, it also doesn't help that my buddy never seems to beta that story when I ask him to…. Oh well~ he was content reading this in its first draft and I've revised it a few times since so let's see how you all enjoy it.

GOW - KONOSUBA

Chris didn't know what to expect when these girls met with Kazuma, she knew something must be up, her assistant was involved, and something always seemed to happen around him no matter how he claimed to crave the quiet life.

Kazuma stood frozen, his eyes never leaving the girls

Kana rose from her seat and slowly made her way over to him, inch by inch as though a sudden movement would make him disappear, by now others noticed, some muttering among themselves about what Pervsuma did this time but Chris paid little heed to it as Kana was close enough for the two to almost touch.

"K-Kazuma." She said.

"Kana." The man breathed out, not even giving his signature reply. "Is it really you?" The girl nodded and Eris was reminded very suddenly about words Kazuma had said on many occasions

'I believe in true gender equality, I will drop-kick any nasty woman who deserves it.'

The sentence was declared through her mind from memory, as Kazuma's foot made contact with Kana faster than anyone could observe, though as the thud of the girl making contact with the ground every eye in the bar was upon them, and Kazuma prepared to strike again.

Darkness reacted first grabbing him, putting him in a headlock as the staff approached, and muttering took hold.

"Kazuma! What has gotten into you, surely if you need an outlet you can certainly use me-" Darkness began.

"Shut up and let me go." Kazuma barked, struggling against Darkness's hold

"What's gotten into you this time Scumzuma, hitting a poor innocent girl isn't your normal first meeting, or have you given up trying to hide your wicked ways?" Megumin asked.

"Let me go!" Kazuma cried again, looking carefully Chris could see tears welling up in his eyes, the disguised goddess turned to see Kana still on the ground, Sumi having walked over was standing next to her in what most likely saw as a protective stance, but Chris could see her hand itching towards her blade, no doubt Kana saw too and knew Sumi was going to keep her there but why?.

"Kazuma, say you're sorry to her, you've caused a scene," Aqua ordered the struggling man.

"Let me go! Let me go right now and I'll let you girls go on any quest, buy you anything you want, do anything you want, just let me get my hands on her and make sure she knows what it felt like." Kazuma decreed, Aqua clearly looked tempted and Chris could see Darkness loosening her grip in question, the thief thought briefly about using bind on him, but something was wrong, and she didn't know what to do.

"D-don't," Kana said. "I deserved that, with how much I wanted to see you again I forgot how badly I earned a kick in the ass."

More people were muttering now, no one was sure what was happening anymore.

"You wanted to see me?" Kazuma asked, he stopped thrashing but Darkness kept ahold of him and he was shaking. "How long was it after you broke your promise to me that you decided that?" He asked.

"Kazuma…"

"How long after you broke me? How long was it after you betrayed me that you decided I was worth enough of a damn to want to see? Was it after I retreated to the only comfort I had left and became a laughingstock? Or after my pathetic death that you decided to see the guy whom you promised to marry and whose heart you broke by cheating on him? Did you think you could follow me here to hurt me again Kana?" Tears were falling down Kazuma's face heavily by now. All conversation stopped as the notorious man, who lived simply for pleasure and ease while making others severely uncomfortable bore his heart to the entire town, unconcerned for anyone but the woman he found himself yelling at, even Darkness lost her grip on him by now and was too shocked to do anything.

"No! Kazuma I'm sorry, I know I messed up but… I know I can't take it back but let me try and fix it, fix us, we were best friends, you were my first love, don't shut me out please." Kana cried, tears leaking out of her eyes as well.

"If you loved me, you wouldn't have gone behind my back with that upperclassman," Kazuma said, his hand shot out and he called a skill that was famous for him. "Steal" A white flash appeared in the hall, and his hand opened to drop a pair of panties, his most common roll when used against members of the opposite sex with his insane luck stat, though normally he held them high with pride and declared them as his new heirloom until the rightful owner stopped being embarrassed and either beat him up or paid the fine.

These he let drift from his fingers onto the ground as if he was disgusted to hold them when he pointed his hand at them and called a basic spell "Tinder" creating a flash of fire that burnt them to a crisp before looking Kana in the eye "You already ruined my first life, I can't let you ruin this one too, I don't want to see you again."

With his piece said and damage done he turned to walk away.

"No Kazuma! I'm sorry, if I could take it all back I would, please let me make it up to you!" Kana cried. "I'll do anything just give me another chance."

"Hold up hold up," Dust interrupted, walking up to the scene much to the groans of many observing. "It sounds here like you really hurt my buddy, now that whole 'I'll do anything to atone' crap is being thrown at him and I gotta make sure you're going to hold up to that before he gives your so-so ass the a-okay, so when you said you'll do ANYTHING does that mean-"

His speech was stopped short as all three of his party members walked up to him and smacked him a couple of times before dragging him away muttering their apologies for his actions.

"You know me Kazuma, we practically grew up together and I'm so, so sorry for what I did to you, please I will do anything to go back to how things were between us." Kana declared, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I-I" Kazuma started, Chris frowned as the crowd started muttering again.

"What happened with Kazuma and this chick? Like it sounds pretty bad but is it really worth this?"

"What did Kazutrash do to this poor girl to make her think she should be apologizing after he just assaulted her and destroyed her underwear."

"Who knows, Pervzuma will probably make her do something despicable though."

"Honestly whatever the poor girl did can't be worth all this right?"

It seemed they didn't see the whole picture, though Chris was having a hard time herself, she needed to read Kazuma's file and pay her subordinate a visit after this and find out the truth, though so far it wasn't looking like it would be a fun time.

"I can't forget and I don't know if I can forgive," Kazuma said at last, no doubt hearing all the muttering done around him as he fought desperately to regain some form of composure, he always acted how he felt like but Chris knew he did try to keep his reputation from being too bad and this situation was so clearly out of his control that figuring out what to do was obviously a struggle to him, his own party stood silent unsure about what was going on.

"I don't expect you to forget, and I don't want you to just forgive me off the bat that wouldn't be the Kazuma thing to do, I want to earn my place by your side again." Kana declared. The muttering was back; it seemed that line earned her a lot of approval from the people, the women in the guild especially and that meant most of the men would follow soon either from actually agreeing or not wanting to be in a bad spot with their female party members, speculations of what she did were forgotten by everyone.

"If I may, she has admitted fault in the criminal offense of severely wounding your heart, with this being the case perhaps giving her a second chance to do so would be foolhardy." Sumi chimed in, looking coldly at the fallen girl.

"No one asked you bitch." Kana growled, her eyes glowed with a faint brown and Chris remembered, she didn't know what either of their cheats were, maybe Kazuma's file wasn't the only one she should look through.

"Who are you?" Kazuma asked, breaking up their battle of wills and earning a look of shock from the girl.

"I suppose it has been many months since you last saw me, I'm Sumi, 'twas my life you saved before… before you arrived here, Kana and I had been searching for you so I might thank you and offer to repay my debt in any manner I could."

An audible thud and some murmured threats could heard from the direction where Dust was dragged which was ignored by everyone.

"What are you talking about?" Kazuma asked.

"Do you not recall your act of bravery? I'm sure you've had ample time to permeate your memory, but your saving my life led to you coming here." Sumi said, looking over at her senior goddess Chris could see Aqua sweating, and Chris paled at the implications. She couldn't have, could she?

Kazuma frowned. "No, no, but… you look so familiar, but it can't have been because Aqua told me that I died of shock, that the girl I pushed out of the way was in no danger…"

"While I do not know of who discussed that event with you or how it slipped your recollection, I assure you I was in grave peril, had it not been for your noble deeds I would have most certainly perished that day," Sumi said firmly.

"But, but Aqua said…" Kazuma stopped talking, eyes widening as he turned to the goddess in question who was sweating more than anyone present had seen her sweat before. "Aqua did, did you lie about my death?"

"S-she's Lying Kazuma surely I- I can't lie to my best friend." The blue-haired goddess said, her body shaking as tears began slipping out of her eyes. "no, I can't lie to my best friend anymore, I didn't tell you the truth about how you died the first time, the truth was you did die a hero, I- I had to lie I had to-"

"FREEZE" a gust of cold air hit Aqua directly causing her to Yelp in shock as Kazuma stood facing her.

"You had to lie to me, had to tell me all that just to get me here, I thought we were friends Aqua and you kept this from me!" Kazuma turned around and found himself face to face with Megumin and Darkness both doing their best to form a wall between him and the door.

"Come now Kazuma, I know you're upset but we can resolve this, and you can take your anger out on me, yes unleash your fury till you burst upon me I-I will not break against the pain of torment and we might heal as a party." Darkness called, her face heating up at the thought and the jumble of perverse ideas she had was instantly tuned out by everyone in attendance as a default reaction.

"Don't listen to her Kazuma, this will be a great moment for your backstory, you have officially found out that you are a tragic hero and all these people have witnessed an old rival from the past appearing as you resume your struggles! Truly you are blessed with a wonderful backstory." Megumin called, Kazuma shook.

"I can't do this." He said, walking between the shocked girls.

"K-Kazuma." His party called out.

"I'm done here, I wanna go home." The young man started making his way out, Chris hesitated for a moment, the guild hall was still silent but it wouldn't last and maybe some answers could come forward but she made up her mind and took the chance to slip away herself away from sight, whatever happened here she would find out later right now she needed to figure out what was happening and talk to Kazuma, she needed more information about this and more importantly.

Someone needed to be there for her assistant-kun.
