Hey everyone! Here's the next! From this point on I will have to use the show itself to effectively transcribe the dialogue, as almost every script website I've found does not list who says what in each episode, so it may take me longer to put chapters out. That being said, so I don't leave everyone hanging for too long, I may plan on splitting each episode into two parts. I will also take any suggestions on how to rectify this, if you know of any good script websites, etc. Let me know what you think! Enjoy!

Flashback to seven months ago.

Jacob is at the DPG headquarters for the first time. He comes up the elevator and Claire greets him. There's dozens of other DPG members hustling and bustling around the cramped office space.

"Jacob! It's been what? Almost three years?" Claire asked. Jacob smiled and nodded.

"Just about. You know, it's funny. The last time I stepped off an elevator with you on the same floor it was under very different circumstances," he said. Claire nodded sadly.

"It was. But thanks to you, and Owen, you've shown me that these dinosaurs are worth fighting for," there was some awkward silence for a minute before anyone spoke.

"So uh, what did you call me here for?" Jacob asked, putting his hands in his pockets. Claire led him to her desk and hands him a folder with testimonial documents.

"This is everything we need to fight for the dinosaurs. To make sure that they don't go extinct a second time. And to make sure Masrani Global takes some accountability in everything that happens. Including me," Claire said. Jacob sifted through the documents with a confused look on his face.

"Extinct a second time? What—what do you mean? Does this have anything to do with that volcano?" He asked. Claire nodded.

"Yes. Mount Sibo. It's showing much more signs of activity, and there's been talks that the UN isn't going to do anything about the dinosaurs. That they won't intervene," Claire said sadly.

"They can't do that! Isla Nublar is a biological preserve. If they let them die—we have to do something. Anything," Jacob said, putting the folder back on the desk.

"When's the trial?" He asked. Claire sighed and looked frustrated.

"Not for another six months," she said sitting in her chair. Jacob sat next to her in another chair and sighed.

"That volcano is going to erupt way before then. The dinosaurs don't have that kind of time. Hell, there were micro tremors last month! That thing is ready to pop," he said.

"I know. Which, is why, I'm hoping to help speed things along. I've reached out Benjamin Lockwood's estate. If anyone has a plan, he does," she said.

"Benjamin Lockwood. He was John Hammond's business partner, wasn't he? There's no way he'd let them die. Hammond would turn in his grave if he did," Jacob said. Claire nodded with a determined look on her face.

"Exactly," she said. Suddenly, Jacob's alarm on his phone went off.

"Shit, I gotta get to work," he said. Claire had an inquisitive look on her face.

"Work?" She asked. Jacob shrugged as he walked to the elevator.

"Museum curation! Not exactly dinosaur consultant, but it pays the bills and I still get to talk about dinosaurs all day," They both laughed as Jacob got into the elevator.

"Claire, promise me, you'll be careful," Jacob said, stopping the door from closing.

"I will. I'll let you know what I hear," Claire said. Jacob gave her a warm smile.

"We'll save them. We have to,"

Present day, Hershel's Farm

Lori got up out of her tent into the makeshift campsite they had formed at the farm. Jacob walked passed her, carrying a bucket of water.

"Morning," he said. Lori smiled at him groggily.

"Good morning," she said, walking over to Carol who was doing laundry.

"I can't believe I slept in," Lori said, grabbing a pile of clothes.

"You must have needed it. Feeling all right?" Carol asked

"Next time wake me, all right? Especially on laundry day," Lori said.

"I can manage, but I did have an idea I wanted to run by you," Carol said, hanging up some clothes to dry.

"What's that?" Lori asked.

"That big kitchen of theirs got me thinking. I wouldn't mind cooking in a real kitchen again. Maybe we all pitch in and cook dinner for Hershel and his family tonight. Kind of looking for things to keep my mind occupied," Carol explained, finishing up the rest of the laundry. Lori smiled at her.

"After everything they've done for us, seems like the least we could do," she said.

"You mind extending the invitation? Would just feel more right coming from you," Carol said. Lori gave her a confused look.

"How so?" She asked.

" You're Rick's wife. It sort of makes you our unofficial first lady," Carol said. The two of them laughed a bit. A few seconds later, Rick walked by with Shane. They were getting ready to look for Sophia again. T Dog, Andrea, and Jacob were making flags to put out that Sophia would be able to see.

"Morning, guys. Let's get going. We've got a lot of ground to cover," Rick said, putting their search map on the hood of a truck. Everyone gathered around.

"All right, everyone's getting new search grids today. If she made it as far as the farmhouse Daryl and Jacob found, she might have gone further east than we've been so far," he said. Jimmy came over to offer his help as well.

"I'd like to help. I know the area pretty well and stuff," he said

"Hershel's okay with this?" Rick asked, not fully convinced.

"Yeah. He said I should ask you," Jimmy said.

"All right then. Thanks," Rick said, giving Jimmy a smile.

"Nothing about what the two of them found screams Sophia to me. Anyone could have been holed up in that farmhouse," Shane said, gesturing to Jacob and Daryl.

"Anybody includes her, right? Whoever slept in that cupboard was no bigger than yay-high," Daryl said, making a gesture a few feet off the ground.

"He's right. Had to be her. Can't see anyone much bigger than a kid fitting in there. It's a good lead," Jacob added.

"Maybe we'll pick up her trail again," Rick said, nodding at Jacob.

"No maybe about it. I'm gonna borrow a horse, head up to this ridge right here, take a bird's-eye view of the whole grid. If she's up there, I'll spot her," Daryl said.

"Mind if I tag along again?" Jacob asked. Daryl shook his head.

"Naw, I've got this one. Can cover more ground on my own. You oughta check back towards the highway again. See if she's makin' her way back," Daryl said.

"Good idea. Maybe you'll see your chupacabra up there too," T said to Daryl

"Chupacabra?" Jacob asked. Rick looked slightly amused.

"You never heard this? Our first night in camp, Daryl tells us that the whole thing reminds him of a time when he went squirrel hunting and he saw a chupacabra," Dale said. Jimmy snickered at this.

"What are you braying at, jackass?" Daryl retorted.

"You believe in a blood-sucking dog?" Jimmy asked.

"Do you believe dead people walking around? Dinosaurs back from the dead?" Daryl asked smugly. Jimmy went to grab one of the shotguns on the hood of the Truck but Rick stopped him

"Easy there, Tiger," Jacob said.

"Ever fire one before?" Rick added.

"Well, if I'm going out, I want one," Jimmy said.

"Yeah, and people in hell want slurpees," Daryl said, walking away. Jimmy also started to walk away in frustration.

"Why don't you come train tomorrow? If you're serious, I'm a certified instructor," Shane offered.

"For now he can come with us," Andrea said

"He's yours to babysit then," Shane said.

Forest

Later in the woods, Rick and Shane Reminisce about high school and eventually get into an argument about the probability of Sophia actually being alive. They discover that they've wandered into Andrea and T Dog's Search Grid (I'm skipping the dialogue that happens here because it doesn't add much to this chapter). Elsewhere in the forest, Daryl is searching for Sophia in his own Grid. After wandering through the forest for a bit on his horse, a group of compies runs by, startling the horse.

"Easy! Easy!" Daryl said, trying to calm the horse down.

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Some of the compies started biting at the horse's ankles, causing it to buck Daryl off and run into the woods, with the compies hot on its trail. Daryl began tumbling down into the creek bed below. He felt a sharp pain in his side when he landed in the water.

"Son of a bitch!" One of his arrows had pierced his side, and he was bleeding pretty bad. After making a tourniquet around the arrow stuck in his side, he sees rustling in the bushes a few hundred feet away from him, accompanied by a soft almost playful hooting sound. Wasting no time, he fishes his crossbow out of the creek, and begins his painful, slow climb back up the hill towards the farm.

Farm

Back on the farm, Glenn sees Lori and begins to walk up to her, but she starts to walk away after she sees him.

"Mind your own business, Glenn," she said, still walking away.

"You're pregnant," Glenn said. Lori's expression looked worried.

"You can't tell anybody, okay?" She said. Rick and Shane were walking back from the woods and Lori looked at Rick, and then back to Glenn.

"You haven't told him yet?" Glenn asked. Lori didn't answer and Glenn walked away in frustration. Lori noticed Shane snatch the shotgun out of Rick's hand angrily.

"Something wrong?" She asked. Rick was quiet for a moment before speaking

"I just had a long talk with Shane. He wants to call off the search," Rick said, clearly frustrated.

"What do you think?" Lori asked.

"What if it was Carl? Would you want us to keep looking?" Rick asked her.

"If it was Carl, yes I'd want to know one way or another. Especially with that T. rex still out there," Lori replied.

"Shane says my good intentions are making us weaker, that I can't make the hard decisions for the good of the group," Rick said.

"They're all hard decisions," Lori said.

"But maybe I'm holding on to a way of thinking that doesn't make sense anymore. He says it's math, basic survival- How much fuel, how much food, how much ammo. Not much room in that equation for being soft. It's pretty simple when you start thinking of life like that," Rick said, almost tearing up. Lori softly cradled Rick's face in her hands.

"Hey. None of us were prepared to be living life this way. You are making the best decisions you can with the information you have. I don't see soft in that," She said, looking him in the eyes. Suddenly, Beth came up behind them.

"Mr. Grimes? My dad said he wants to talk to you," he said. Rick nodded and followed Beth back to the farm house.

Forest: Direction of the highway

Jacob had followed Daryl's advice and made his search grid the area near the highway. He had asked Billy to come along with him in case he ran into some trouble. The two of them entered a clearing in the forest and stopped to take a quick rest.

"Still no sign of her. No foot prints or anything," Jacob said. Billy took a sip from his canteen looked at the ground, and saw several dinosaur tracks headed in the direction of the highway.

"Maybe not her prints. Look," Billy said, pointing to the tracks. Jacob and Billy looked at each other worriedly.

"Raptor?" Jacob asked. Billy nodded.

"Looks that way. Hopefully they weren't chasing Sophia," he said. He took another look at the tracks and saw that they circled around for a bit before leading back into the forest.

"They were hunting something though. Hard to say what," he added. Jacob looked intrigued.

"How do you know?" He asked. Billy simply pointed to the encirclement of the tracks.

"See the way they circle around here? They were chasing something. Trying to corner it, but whatever it was must've lost them through the trees," he said. Jacob looked impressed.

"How'd you know all that?" He asked with a smile on his face. Billy just shrugged.

"I had a good teacher. Alan Grant taught me just about everything I know," he said. Jacob's eyes widened.

"The Alan Grant? You were his student?!" Jacob nearly shouted. Billy nodded.

"Yeah. His protege, too, I guess. We were actually together before the world fell apart. We were on our way to DC to watch the Masrani testimonies when our plane crashed. I haven't seen him in over a month. Not sure if he's even still alive," he said. Jacob smirked and let out a chuckle.

"What?" Billy asked.

"I was supposed to testify that day. You didn't happen to be on the 10 AM flight did you?" Jacob asked.

"Yeah," Billy said. "I was,"

"We were gonna be on the same damn plane," Jacob said. The two of them looked at each other and laughed.

"Fate's a cruel mistress for sure," Jacob said. They laughed again, but Billy had a realization.

"Wait. You said you were supposed to testify. Does that mean that you—"

"Worked at Jurassic World? Yeah. I did," Jacob said, sitting on a log.

"I'm sorry," Billy said.

"Yeah. Me too," Jacob said, standing up. There was awkward silence for a minute.

"I've um, had a similar experience, I guess you could call it. Back in '01, Dr. Grant and I got dragged to Isla Sorna by this couple who were looking for their son. Long story short, we found him, but we barely got out of there alive. Alan's the reason I'm still here. I hope he's alright," Billy said.

"I hope so too. Hope I get to meet him some day," Jacob said with a sad smile. Jacob took a sip from his canteen.

"You, uh, really think we're gonna find this little girl out here?" Billy asked, changing the subject.

"I hope so," Jacob sighed. "I know that if my brother was out here, I wouldn't rest until I found him,"

"Your brother's a funny kid. He looks up to you. I can see that," Billy said. Jacob chuckled.

"Tell you truth, I had no idea what I was doing those first few weeks. I mean, I don't have kids of my own or anything like that. He was only supposed to be with me for a few days before we got to DC. Hell, we probably would've died had we actually gotten on that plane. If we hadn't met the group we're with now—I just don't know if I could've kept him safe," Jacob said sadly.

"I guess that's fate too," Billy said. Jacob nodded with a small smile on his face.

"Come on. We should head back. It's gonna be dark soon," Billy said. Jacob nodded and the two of them marched on back to the farm.

Hershel's Farm

Back on the Farm, Hershel and Rick were discussing the matter of Daryl "Borrowing" one of Hershel's horses.

"One of my horses is missing. Did one of your people take it?" Hershel asked, pouring gas into a generator.

"I was given the impression you knew about that," Rick said. Hershel stopped pouring gas for a moment.

"I did not," he said, rather frustrated. Rick didn't look too happy either.

"I'll have a word with Daryl," he said with a sour look on his face.

"And Jimmy? You took him out today. Did he also give you the impression of my consent?" Hershel asked.

"No, he said it outright. I took the boy at his word," Rick said putting his hand on his hips.

"Jimmy is just a kid. He's not my kin but I am responsible for him. These things need to be cleared with me," Hershel said, cleaning his hands with a rag.

"Sounds like we need to work on our communication. What do you suggest?" Rick asked.

"Keep it simple. I'll control my people, you control yours," Hershel said. The conversation ended rather awkwardly as Rick walked away and Hershel started the generator.

Forest

After tumbling down the cliff face for a second time, and hallucinating about seeing his brother in the creek, Daryl was shaken awake from his vision by a playful yet foreboding hooting sound. He looked down at his feet to see a dilophosaurus staring at him and tilting its head. He panicked as the dinosaur made a rattling sound and its frills opened up. He moved just in time to avoid being spit on by the dilophosaurus and its toxic goo. He kicked it back and reached frantically for his crossbow, but before he could, the dilophosaurus tackled him and the two of them wrestled until he could kick it off again. Before the dilo could attack again, Daryl stabbed it in the leg and grabbed a nearby branch. The Dilophosaur was about to spit again, but Daryl drove the branch right into its throat, causing it to choke on its own venom Hearing the commotion, another dilophosaur came running out of the woods at Daryl. Without another thought, he pulled out the arrow stuck in his side and loaded his crossbow, firing it at the dilophosaur's head just in time to avoid being pounced on. Daryl made sure there were no more dinosaurs, or walkers, around before cutting off the dilophosaurs' claws and fashioning a necklace made out of them. He then gathered his things and made the long climb back up the hill, all the while still hallucinating seeing Merle.

Hershel's Farm

Back on the farm, Carol, Lori, and Patricia were preparing dinner for everyone. Hershel walked in and looked less than pleased as Maggie set up an extra table.

"What's this?" Hershel asked.

"Lori and Carol are cooking dinner for us all tonight," Maggie said. Hershel still looked annoyed.

"That's the first I've heard of it," he said.

"I didn't think it was that big a deal. They want to thank us for helping them," Maggie explained.

"We need to be setting clear boundaries with these people. They're getting a little too comfortable," Hershel said. Now Maggie looked annoyed at her father.

"It's just dinner," she said.

"What's going on with you and the Asian boy?" Hershel asked.

"Glenn. He's a friend," Maggie said.

"I'd rather he wasn't. Bad enough I have to chase Beth and Jimmy around," Hershel said as Maggie rolled her eyes.

"Well, you don't have to chase me around. I'm not a kid anymore," she said.

"I know you're not, that's why I'm counting on you to be the mature one. You know how I feel. Please, don't make things harder than they need to be," Hershel pleaded.

"I'm a little old for us to be having this conversation," Maggie said, starting to walk away. Hershel was quiet for a minute.

"Don't get close to them. They're not going to be around forever," he said. Maggie stormed off leaving Hershel in the dining room.

RV

Dale walked into the RV camp just outside the farm house with a canister of water, while Wu was sitting by the campfire, not-so-subtly looking at the Indominus claw he had hidden away. Andrea noticed this but didn't say anything right away and continued scouting.

"What's with the Annie Oakley routine?" Dale asked.

"I don't want to wash clothes anymore, Dale. I want to help keep the camp safe. Is that all right with you?" Andrea retorted. Dale said nothing but walked into the RV where Glenn was. When Dale was inside, Andrea lowered the gun and turned her attention to Wu.

"What's that?" She asked. Wu didn't realize she was talking to him and took a second to respond.

"Nothing. Just a claw," Andrea rolled her eyes and scoffed. She wasn't stupid. She knew what it was. After all, Wu had mentioned that he had Indominus DNA samples at the CDC.

"If that's what I think it is, you better not let Jacob see it. He was pretty pissed at you at the CDC. Can't say I blame him," she said. Wu simply sighed and tucked the claw into his shirt.

"It doesn't matter. There's not nearly enough DNA here for me to do anything with it. I have no lab, no equipment. It's just a reminder of my mistakes now," he said, looking down. Andrea pulled up the chair on top of the RV and looked at him.

"Look," she sighed. " I don't have a problem with you. I don't know all of what happened at Jurassic World, but if Jacob figures out you still have the ability to make that thing, and from the sounds of it, you do, he's not just gonna let it go. But just know, if you put any one in this group in danger, we will have a problem," she said. She gave Wu a menacing stare, and went back to her watch. Wu looked down in shame and left the campsite to get water. Suddenly, Andrea spotted a walker as Glenn walked out of the RV.

"Walker. Walker!" She called. Rick walked up after hearing her.

"Just the one?" He asked.

"I bet I can nail it from here," Andrea said, picking up her rifle.

"No no, Andrea. Put the gun down," Rick said. Shane and T Dog both started walking in the direction of the walker with melee weapons in hand.

"You'd best let us handle this," Shane said.

"Shane, hold up. Hershel wants to deal with walkers," Rick said, putting his hand up.

"What for, man? We got it covered," Shane said. Rick quickly ran to the RV and grabbed his gun. Jacob and Billy, who had just gotten back from their search came running to the RV to see what the commotion was. Jacob saw Rick, Shane, T Dog and Glenn running out to the field and watched Andrea sight up her rifle.

"Andrea, wait!" He said.

"Back off, Jacob," she said, not even looking at him. In the field opposite the RV, Rick, Shane, Glenn and T eventually come upon the "walker." They were about to put it down when they realized what they were looking at.

"Is that Daryl?" Glenn asked. Rick still had his gun pointed at Daryl.

"That's the third time you've pointed that thing at my head. You gonna pull the trigger or what?" Daryl said. Everyone chuckled slightly. Then a gunshot. Everyone in the field watched in horror as Daryl fell to the ground. Rick screamed and Andrea's look of pride turned into terror. After the gunshot, everyone else came running out of the house. Back in the field, the rest of the group was helping Daryl up.

"I was kidding," Daryl said as he was helped to his feet. He passed out briefly. Andrea and Dale came running.

"Oh my God! Oh my God, is he dead?" Andrea asked in a panic.

"Unconscious. You just grazed him," Rick said. Glenn noticed the claw necklace Daryl had around him.

"But look at him. What the hell happened? He's wearing claws!" Glenn said.

"Let's keep that to ourselves," Rick said, ripping the claw necklace off and throwing it on the ground. T Dog stopped for a moment and picked up what Daryl dropped.

Guys, isn't this Sophia's?" T Dog was holding a doll.

Farmhouse

An hour or so had passed and Hershel was fixing up Daryl and his wound. Rick and Shane were at his bedside.

"I found it washed up on the creek bed right there," Daryl said referring to the Doll.

"She must have dropped it crossing there somewhere. Cuts the grid almost in half," Rick said.

"Yeah, you're welcome," Daryl said, wincing in pain as Hershel sutured his wound.

"How's he looking?" Rick asked.

"I had no idea we'd be going through the antibiotics so quickly," Hershel sighed. "Any idea what happened to my horse?" He asked.

"Yeah, the one who almost killed me? If it's smart, it left the country," Daryl said, laying back in the bed. Hershel stood up to clean a bloody bandage.

"We call that one Nelly, as in Nervous Nelly. I could have told you she'd throw you if you'd bothered to ask. It's a wonder you people have survived this long," He said. Daryl looked guilty. So did Rick. He and Shane then came out of the bedroom where Lori was sitting in the hallway.

"He'll be all right," Rick said to her as Lori stood up.

"I hate to say it, but I'm with Hershel on this one. Can't keep going out there, not after this," Shane said.

"You'd quit now? Daryl just risked his life to bring back the first hard evidence we've had," Rick said.

That is one way to look at it. The way I see it, Daryl almost died today for a doll," Shane said, taking off his hat and leaning against the wall.

"Yeah, I know how you see it," Rick said, walking away angrily. Lori scoffed and just looked at Shane.

"I'm not out to be a hard case. Just being realistic. He's just got to start making the tough calls. You know I'm right," Shane said, starting to walk away. Lori just looked at him.

"I may not agree with all of his choices, but I respect him. I know yours and mine and your way isn't harder. It's the easiest thing in the world to cut our losses and to not help. You keep telling yourself you're making the tough calls. You're really just trying—" Shane cut Lori off.

"The only thing I care about now in this world is you and Carl. So I apologize if I appear to be insensitive to the needs of others, but you see I'll do whatever it takes to keep the two of you safe," Shane said.

"Even abandoning a lost child? Really?" Lori whispered.

"Yeah," Shane said, almost with a smile. Lori's look of concern turned to anger.

"My son and I are not your problem anymore, or your excuse," Lori stormed off in anger. Shane leaned back against the wall, with a look of annoyance.

Dining Room.

Everyone had gathered around for dinner, with some people using the extra table Maggie had set up earlier in the day. There was a very awkward silence as people ate until Glenn spoke up.

"Does anybody know how to play guitar? Dale found a cool one. Somebody's got to know how to play," he said chuckling. Patricia had a sad and uncomfortable look on her face.

"Otis did," she said. Shane perked up a bit.

"Yes, and he was very good too," Hershel said, trying to lighten the mood a little. Jacob tried to break the tension a bit.

"I um, played the drums in college," Nobody said anything, but Jacob and Glenn exchanged a look of "it was a worth a shot." After everyone else had finished dinner, Carol brought Daryl some food.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

" As good as I look," Daryl said.

"I brought you some dinner. You must be starving," Carol brought the plate next to him and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Daryl turned over on his side.

"Watch out, I got stitches," he said awkwardly.

"You need to know something. You did more for my little girl today than her own daddy ever did in his whole life," Carol said as she was about to head out the door.

"I didn't do anything Rick or Shane wouldn't have done," Daryl said. Carol gave him a smile.

"I know. You're every bit as good as them. Every bit,"

RV Camp: Jacob's Tent

After Dinner, Jacob was getting ready for bed as Zach finished reading his Invincible comic book. Zach looked at him for a moment before speaking up.

"Jacob? Why don't you like Mr. Wu?" He asked. Jacob was a bit stunned by the question.

"Wha—What?" He asked.

"Did he do something bad? Did—did he hurt people? Kill people?" Zach asked. Jacob sighed.

"Do you remember the story I told you, about the Hybrid dinosaur?" Zach nodded.

"Dr.—Er, Mr. Wu, made it. But, he didn't make it alone. Yeah, the dinosaur he made, the Indominus Rex, did hurt people, and it killed people. But, It wasn't entirely his choice. Mr. Masrani told him to," Jacob explained, climbing into the cot. Zach was quiet for a second.

"I think you should be nicer to him. I can tell he feels bad," Zach said. Jacob sat up in his cot and looked at his brother, then sighed.

"Yeah. Um, It's—It's getting late, Zach. Time for bed," he said. Zach looked at him for second and nodded and Jacob turned off the lantern.

"Maybe I should cut him some slack. He's been through a lot too," Jacob thought. He covered himself with his blanket and went to bed with an uneasy feeling.

Barn

Glenn made his way to the barn for his sneaky link up with Maggie. Finding that the front of it was locked, he climbed up the side into the loft and an overwhelming odor hit him. He shined hiss flashlight to the floor and was horrified to see at least a dozen walkers, and a rotting triceratops carcass below him. Terrified, Glenn goes to run out of the loft when he runs into Maggie.

"You weren't supposed to see this,"

End

Hey everyone! Sorry for a text heavy chapter, but I wanted to get a new one out soon. There'll be more action soon! I also wanted this chapter to give a little more depth to Billy, and have him bond with Jacob over their shared dinosaur experiences. Going forward, I will say that Billy is one of the JW/JP characters I will be keeping around for a long time. Others however, well, let's just say that no one is safe ;) Anyway, let me know what you think, and stay tuned for the next chapter!
