All right, let's go back to the other timeline and see what Shaggy, Daphne and Scooby are up to! Anyway, enjoy!

EIGHT YEARS LATER...

Shaggy and Scooby were sitting down near the entrance of the movie theater, having found the stairs and getting themselves back towards the main entrance. As Shaggy kept eating some popcorn that he left money on the counter for, Scooby kept a watchful eye outside as Daphne was using her cell phone to talk to someone on the other end. Although Scooby couldn't help but grab a handful of popcorn too as he munched on it thoroughly.

After a bit, Daphne hung up her phone and came back inside as Shaggy looked up. "Like, what did you find out?"

"It wasn't him, Shaggy. He's still in jail for the robbery, amongst other things." Daphne sighed.

Shaggy groaned as he crossed his arms. "I guess that's a bust, then. I really thought we were like, on to something."

"Sorry, but it's not the Clock Monster 2.0." Daphne frowned as she crossed her arms.

"Excuse me, but should you three even be here?"

The three jumped as Scooby let out a loud 'Ripe!' before jumping in Shaggy's arms as the large Great Dane hugged Shaggy nervously. The three turned around quickly towards the new voice that sounded from the room. It was an old man with wrinkles on his face, wearing a grey uniform with blue overalls, a white cap with a red brim, and blue shoes. He seemed to pushing around a large cart of cleaning supplies as he eyed the three in suspicion... before noticing Scooby and recognizing the large dog.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't realize I was in the presence of the Scooby Doo Detective Agency." The man said, the wrinkles softening a little bit.

Scooby gave a small smile as Shaggy, though a little creeped out, put Scooby to the side as he tried to be polite as possible. "Well... three of the members, anyway."

"We technically go by Mystery Inc." Daphne pointed out.

"Oh, pish posh. You've always been the Scooby Doo Detective Agency in my eyes, ever since I was a young adult." The man chuckled. "Anyway, I'm Troy, the janitor around this movie theater. I take it you three are here to solve this little mystery on the whole Ghost of Kilijoumango, then?"

Daphne frowned as she crossed her arms. "How did you know about that?"

"Come on, three of the famous detectives of Coolsville coming in, ghost hauntings, large popcorn bucket from the vending machine, money on the counter?" Troy chuckled. "Although you ARE giving me more work, it's clear that you're doing a good deed. Though, I would advise against trying to get the ghoul mad any further. They could easily sneak up on you."

"Like, no need to tell us twice!" Shaggy laughed nervously as Scooby looked at the man.

"R-reah..." Scooby nodded.

"All right, I'll leave you kids to your work. Gotta get to the other bathrooms near the theater. It's going to be quite a bit of work." The janitor said as he whistled a bit, before pushing the cart and whistling. As he was walking, Daphne couldn't help but notice a cloth sticking out of the man's pocket, seeing some familiar paint.

"Heeeey..." Daphne frowned as she turned to Scooby and Shaggy, who were trying to calm themselves down. "That cloth in the janitor's pocket seemed to be covered in the same green paint that we found in the laundry room."

Shaggy looked over at Daphne with a raised eyebrow before deciding to ask the obvious. "You don't think HE might the Ghost of Kilijoumango himself, do you?"

"It could be, but we can't know for sure." Daphne paused as she snapped her fingers. "Maybe we should continue investigating... the movie theaters and the projector rooms sound like a perfect place to start."

"Uhhhh... do we have to go further? Wh-wh-wh-what if run into that g-g-g-g-g-g-GHOST!" Shaggy shivered nervously.

Daphne took a deep breath before grabbing the man's hand and squeezing it, getting Shaggy to calm down slightly. "Come on, Shaggy, let's just relax, okay? You too, Scooby."

"Rokay." Scooby said as he felt his legs shivering, and managed to stop them by crossing them into a knot... which caused the Great Dane to fall down comically. Scooby giggled nervously before undoing his legs, getting them back to normal.

"After all, you two are braver than you like to admit." Daphne smiled. "Do you trust me?"

Shaggy paused briefly as he looked over at Daphne, a few waves of emotions going through him, as he felt the mixture of confusion, nervousness and soft romance rising through his heart. For a brief moment, he looked over to Daphne's face and saw that same, kind, caring smile that she only reserved for him. Giving a warm smile of his own, Shaggy reached out and touched Daphne's face softly. "Of course I trust you. It's just... I don't want to see you or Scooby or anybody getting hurt..."

"We always make it through, Shaggy." Daphne smiled, blushing at the slight face touching before looking at the man in pure interest, their hearts pounding against their chests. "After all, Commander Cool, you're the coolest hero I've ever known."

"And like, Gorgeous Gal, you're the prettiest in the world..." Shaggy smirked, recognizing the quote Daphne just read from one of the old comics.

The two smiled as they leaned towards each other... before hearing a cough. They turned to see Scooby rolling his eyes a bit, but giving a warm smile towards the two before saying, "Rorry. Rut we reed to rocus."

It was at that moment, the three heard a scratching sound from one of the rooms. The three jumped as Shaggy yelped, "Like, did you hear that?"

"Sounded like it came from one of the theaters." Daphne said as she separated from Shaggy for the moment. "Come on, you two! We better check it out!"

With no time to argue, Shaggy and Scooby followed Daphne towards the sound... and as the two were walking, Shaggy couldn't help but feel that the almost near kiss they just had... was almost similar to the big moment the two shared... when they were kids... a long time ago...

And with that, this chapter is done! How did you guys like it? Yes, it's another short one, but no worries, I promise that the next chapters will be a lot longer! Anyway, next time, we go back to the Pup Named Scooby Doo universe, where "Commander Cool" and "Gorgeous Gal" (Shaggy and Daphne) are about to share a nice, cute little moment for themselves, all the while the Clock Monster goes on the move.
