Straxus was analyzing the flash drive that was discovered with one of the labs of his company, tracking down the source of those who managed to break in and assist one of the symbiotes in escape. Though, he was drawn away from his research as two of his specialists entered the room.
"Mr. Nebulous, I am here to report that Agent Roy Mustang and I have arrived for duty." Reported a woman dressed in what looked like a militarized jumpsuit next to a man who looked like a researcher. The woman was one of the best Snipers of The US Military before an injury had resulted in her being honorably discharged. She had blonde hair done in a ponytail and had the posture of a well-trained as well as a disciplined soldier. Her partner was one of White Star's best researchers which was dubbed as Alchemist. Roy wore a long-sleeved black collared shirt with a blue suit over it. With this, he had on basic work pants colored brown and combat shoes. Though, he also wore a set of white gloves that had an odd symbol upon them.
Straxus turned towards the two with a kind smile, his body became more tense and nervous as he began the briefing; "Thank you for coming Agents Riza Hawkeye and Flame Alchemist, Roy Mustang. I am sure that you're aware of the recent security breach we had within our research labs." He began his voice quick and awkward as the two nodded in response. Though, they both greatly disliked the testing that took place as much as Doctor Skirth did. "Due to this incident one of the Three Symbiotes in containment has escaped and we need to retrieve the specimen asap. The creature if remains unchecked will eventually cause havoc among the population within Connecticut." He explained as the two did agree with this at minimum.
Doctor Skirth let out a proud breath, proud she wasn't embarrassing herself in front of the two well dressed and professional people in front of her. As childish as it seems, anyone, even her, can get nervous when people have that much confidence and class.
None of them knew what the Klyntars were truly capable of and it would be best that it wasn't with civilian casualties. "Though, I believe we have a lead on where the Symbiote is currently located." Straxus continued before gesturing to the computer screen behind him; "The flash drive we have found seems to belong to a girl named Luz Noceda who is in the town known as Gravesfield."
This did cause Roy to perk up to this data; "Isn't that where the energy anomaly and that incident janitor guy took place?" He asked curiously as he rubbed his chin thinking about what that could mean.
Riza then looked over the reports she had on hand as she nodded in confirmation. "It is and a summer camp group even attended this month's Tour of The Company's HQ in the US. Luz Noceda was one of the registered guests among the group." She announced as Riza placed the folder under her arm. "I am assuming you want us to visit the town and investigate, sir?" The Agent asked, furrowing her brows. Straxus nodded.
"I strongly recommend caution though. We also have reports that Sakamoto Emiko is within the town as well. She is one of the few Yokais that knows the location of the Hidden Yokai Kingdom we have been searching for within Japan." The CEO added on with a stern tone, "We cannot risk her escaping us again after four months of failed attempts to locate her." He declared with an angry tone and a face scrunched up in anger.
Roy though rolled his eyes before responding, "Ya, ya. I got the idea, Straxus. We need her insight of the location as it is important to find The Promised Land. Though, are you sure this isn't some made-up thing you are believing in too much?" The Alchemist asked with genuine concerns but also a hint of sass. The Story of the World of Argenta wasn't exactly believable due to it entailing the source of monsters, witches, and magic. Though, the Knowledge of The Promised Land was only given to a select few among the employees of White Star.
Straxus gave a light chuckle at this before he pulled up a set of images of odd depictions within them. These photos entailed the results of their portal project, briefly showing a gateway into the mystical world of Argenta. "I understand your doubts, but this hopefully settles them. We haven't figured out yet how to make a working gateway. Yet, these failed attempts do show us that we are at least on the right track. Thanks to The Sanguine Star Element, we have finally been able to create a suitable power source." The CEO Explained as he turned back to the two, "This is why the Location of The Yokai Kingdom and our new building within Japan is Key to this operation."
"Alright then… We will be at Gravesfield by the end of the day, sir." Riza told the CEO. The CEO gave them a sharp nod before dismissing them.
Back in Gravesfield however, Marcus himself has been feeling utterly terrible after the trip to The White Star Building. Sounds were bothering him a whole lot more, felt hungry all the time, had a massive fever, and what was on top of this crazy experience was the fact he felt like something else was crawling inside of him. He was able to play it off most of the time, though it was sometimes overwhelming as he laid in his bed. 'What the hell is wrong with me now? This feeling is killing me…' The teen thought in his head as he gripped his hair a bit. Though, the piercing sounds of their dick of an apartment neighbor's music caused him to feel like he was splitting him apart as a violent rage overtook him. With an audible snarl, Marcus rushed over to the asshole and banged on his door. "Yo! Piece of Shit! Turn down your trash a bit!" Marcus shouted aloud as his fist made a dent into the wood door.
The door swung open as the punk rocker dude glared at the kid. "You Dare call my music trash?! I'm gonna teach you a lesson brat!" He declared before Marcus' face dramatically shifted into a horrible nightmare filled with venomous fangs and eyes into bloodthirsty orbs. The Rocker flinched as he backed up with a blink, though once his eyes opened again. Marcus was back to normal, though still had the angered look from before. "You know what? I will turn it down a bit, kid." He told Marcus in a frightened tone as he looked at the rocker with clear confusion.
'That worked better than I thought it would.' A Voice announced with a chuckle as Marcus swiftly turned around to see who was talking. Yet no one was remotely close by, causing The teen to wonder what was going on as he went back into his apartment.
'Hopefully, Uncle Eddie has been doing well with his job searching…' He hoped as Marcus went back to his room. All he wanted at the moment was rest, he didn't care if it was 10 minutes at that point. He wanted to lay down and watch pink fluffy unicorns dance on rainbows for just 10 little minutes.
