Okay, let's get this show on the road with this next chapter! Here we go with Young Shaggy x Young Daphne sweetness! Anyway, enjoy!

EIGHT YEARS AGO...

"Not just a future... a multiverse..."

Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby... that is, Gorgeous Gal, Commander Cool and Mellow Mutt just stared at the sentence on the screen in awe as they looked at each other in confusion.

"What does that mean?" "Commander Cool" asked in pure astonishment.

"I, uh, I'm not quite sure..." "Gorgeous Gal" said, looking at the computer, lost for words.

"Mellow Mutt" gave a small frown as he groaned. "If ronly Relma were here..."

"Yeah, like, she'd probably know what it means..." "Commander Cool" chuckled nervously before examining the screen. "Hmmm, unless of course..."

"What?" Daphne turned to her friend in curiosity.

"Like, my fa- that is, the worker at the bank, he said that the diamond that was stolen was the Future Diamond. A diamond that if held at the right angle, you'd see your future for a few moments." Shaggy deduced as he rubbed his chin. "Now, I'm not usually the smartest bulb of the bunch, but, like, what if with certain mathematics and a large machine, you can use the diamond as a centerpiece..."

"Gorgeous Gal" was quickly catching on as she gave a gasp. "...so that not only would you see the future for longer, you can travel to it... maybe not an exact future, but many futures..."

"Yeah, yeah, or something along the lines!" Shaggy nodded. "So, if the diamond is being used for nefarious means..."

"Rat reans rhe world rould re in ranger!" Scooby gasped as he covered his mouth.

"Gorgeous Gal" looked over at "Commander Cool" with a strange, yet curious look on her face. "That sounds like something from a comic book."

"Well... we are acting out as characters in a comic." Shaggy pointed out towards the cute girl.

"Gorgeous Gal" blinked twice as she thought about Shaggy's sentence. "I guess you raise a good point."

Shaggy and Scooby's eyes widened like dinner plates at the thought of this as they gulped. "Like, what can we do about it, though? We're only solving a mystery AND recovering a diamond. I don't think we're well equipped to handle science fiction!"

"Reah!" Scooby yelped as he shook nervously.

"Hey."

Shaggy and Scooby stopped as they looked at "Gorgeous Gal", putting her hands to her hips. "Maybe some other kids would cower in the corner, but we're HEROES! Maybe we're pretending to be heroes, but beyond our playtime superhero identities, we are somebody! And maybe, perhaps, we can use our heads and not only solve this case, but also rescue the diamond before that Clock Monster or whoever the Clock Monster is tries and destroys time or whatever it is he's planning on doing."

The two could only watch in awe as "Goregeous Gal" continued. "Sure, we may look like we're unequipped for this sort of thing, and maybe we are, but working together, I'm sure we'll be able to bust the bad guys down and recover the diamond, before its nefarious need is used!"

"But, like, where would we go to find the machine?" Shaggy asked. "So far, we don't have a lot to go on, other than it's located in a mansion and a scary Clock Monster is running amok!"

"Then, as heroes, we'll need to do a thorough investigation! So, let's use our heads for once, hm? Mellow Mutt, use that powerful nose of yours to sniff anything out, a strange scent left behind, anything to follow!" "Gorgeous Gal" ordered. "Do you think you can do that?"

Scooby had to admit, while he wasn't sure about this Gorgeous Gal, he admired her tenacity and determination. Giving a small nod, he gave a salute before putting his sniffer to work... as in, his nose literally separated from his body as it started to sniff around. The young pup looked at his sniffer in curiosity before it jumped up in the air, getting something. The young Scooby yelped as he started to follow his nose... quite literally. "Gorgeous Gal" and "Commander Cool" couldn't help but give slight laughs before following Scooby at a leisurely pace.

"You've got to give it to Mellow Mutt, once his nose gets going, he follows the trail in dedication." Shaggy grinned.

"In a way, I have to admire your dog's dedication. And he's so loyal, too." Daphne said with a small smile. "No wonder you trust him, Sh- uh, Commander Cool."

Shaggy chuckled as he couldn't help but admire the girl from nearby, as he gave a small blush. He didn't know why, but his young heart was beating a little faster than normal... again. He paused awkwardly before looking at the young girl before him. "Uh, like, you know, your little sassy attitude reminds me of a good friend I know."

"Really?" Daphne raised an eyebrow, looking at Shaggy in curiosity.

"Oh yeah. In my civilian form, I had, like, a couple of friends that I work with in this detective agency. You probably heard of them." Shaggy smirked. "The Scooby-Doo Detective Agency?"

Daphne gave a nervous look as she tugged on her collar lightly. "Can't say I have."

"Like, really?" Shaggy asked in surprise. "They're like, the neighborhood's best crime solvers? When someone has a crime or mystery, people come to us?"

"Oh... well, now that you say that, I think the name sounds familiar." Daphne chuckled nervously, closing her eyes in sheepishness.

"Yeah, well, one of my fellow friends there has a bit of an attitude... orange hair, wears pink, always pays attention to her nails and fashion... a bit of a vain braggart at times." Shaggy frowned. "A little bratty, if I can be honest."

"Bratty? Vain? True, I pay attention to my nails sometimes, but, seriously?!" Young Daphne thought as she gave Shaggy a mean glare towards him, not that the young man had noticed. "You don't say?"

"Despite all that, though, I think she's probably the smartest and strongest girl I've ever had the pleasure of meeting." Shaggy said.

This threw Daphne in for a loop as her face started to soften a bit, her eyes widened in surprise. "Really?"

"Like, yeah. Sure, she's always the one that says 'there's no such things as ghosts and monsters', but even in the face of that, she's shown herself to be quite independent, always stepping in to help even if it meant sacrificing a nail or getting dirt on her boots." Shaggy smiled. "Like, she has this butler she often calls to get some quick changes, but most of the time, she's probably the most nicest girl I've ever had the pleasure of being around with."

Daphne's heart immediately soared as she gave a slight blush, before looking away. "I guess I- uh, she DOES tend to call for her butler a lot, huh?"

"Not that we don't like Jenkins, in fact, we greatly appreciate his help whenever she or my friends are in a bind." Shaggy smiled. "Part of me hopes she'll grow out of calling for the butler every time she's in a jam, as I know she can be strong and independent. She, like, just needs a little time away from the magazines and fashion. I just wish she could at least have a little fun in her life, you know?"

Daphne bit her lip, wanting to tell Shaggy so hard that he was hanging out with her and having fun right now... but this was a little... well... awkward for her to do...

"Not like you. I may not know who the girl behind Gorgeous Gal is, but, like, you're really committed to the character. Like, you're beautiful, charming, you even have the charm work down... and you've like, charmed me." Shaggy said with a small smile.

"Really? I... uh, charmed you?" Daphne giggled nervously as she felt her heart beating faster.

"Y-yeah! Like, you must have REALLY been a big fan, if you've managed to keep track of all those Commander Cool comics." Shaggy smiled.

"Uh... would you believe me if I only read just one comic?" Daphne said with a nervous grin.

Shaggy blinked twice. "Really? Well... then you're a lucky girl if you already have Gorgeous's character down."

"I... I just thought she was a very fashionable character, I didn't think she'd have all this character to her... I mean, the kiss we shared, it was a-" Daphne started, before she stopped talking as she covered her lips.

Shaggy immediately blushed in surprise as he bit his lip. "So... I guess you never realized that Commander Cool and Gorgeous Gal had a... on-off relationship?"

"N-no... at least, not in the issue I read." Daphne blushed in embarrassment. "But... I- well, that kiss was only a moment of weakness, because..."

"You don't have to explain anything." Shaggy smiled as he grabbed Daphne's hand and squeezed it, causing the young woman to look at her eyes. "I will admit, like, it was a little shocking, but... it was nice. Like, I never would have expected my first kiss to be from a very beautiful Gorgeous Gal cosplayer."

"...Jeepers." Daphne's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, you mean, I was your first kiss?"

Shaggy nodded, before noticing "Gorgeous Gal"'s nervous look. "It honestly wasn't that bad, like... I enjoyed it."

"You did?" Daphne blinked in surprise, before looking at the boy with a small, shy smile as she shuffled her feet awkwardly, both of them stopping. "Uh, well... I have to admit, it was an interesting, uh... would you like another, uh..."

Shaggy yelped nervously as he gave a chuckle. "Uh, I mean, uh, if you want, I mean... my mind's a little, uh, uh..."

The two quickly stopped talking before looking at each other, not realizing that their faces were so close to each other. Their eyes locked quickly as their faces leaned closer. Daphne's arms quickly wrapped around Shaggy's body as their heads moved forward, their lips getting so close to each other...

"A-hem."

Shaggy and Daphne heard the slight cough as reality came crashing back down, their heads quickly turning to see the young puppy named Scooby Doo (who had his nose back on his face) looking at the two kids, a small amused smile adorning his face... before giving a small shrug. "Ri round romething!"

"Oh! Uh, good work, Mellow Mutt!" Shaggy chuckled nervously as he and Daphne separated, the two looking at each other with blushes on their faces.

"What did you find?" "Gorgeous Gal" asked as Scooby opened up a small door on his left.

"Rover here!" Scooby called before pointing inside. The three leaned in for a closer look as they gave a small gasp... not believing their eyes.

There was a large satellite ray gun, aimed directly at the wall, with gizmos and devices attached. As the three junior heroes/detectives entered inside, Daphne said with an incredulous tone in her voice, "Boys, I believe we found another clue..."
