Okay, let's get this chase scene a-going! Let's get to both timelines to see young Shaphne and old Shaphne escape from their enemies! Anyway, enjoy!

EIGHT YEARS LATER...

"I AM THE GHOST OF KILIJOUMANGO!"

Daphne's eyes widened as they almost literally went out of their sockets, but eventually went calm as she tried to think of herself, "No, Daphne, don't think of it too hard! Remember what you always say, there's no such things as ghosts and monsters, you say that all the ti-"

The large ghost looked over the young Daphne as its eyes widened, before glaring at the young girl angrily. "Iiiii... remember... you..."

That got on the young girl's nerves as she let out a loud scream.

The young Shaggy... "Commander Cool"... immediately heard the young girl's scream as he turned back and saw his new favorite female superhero standing in fear of the ghost... at least from his perspective. Quickly experiencing a brief moment of bravery, he turned about face and ran to grab "Gorgeous Gal" with his arms, causing the girl to yelp as Shaggy quickly turned around and ran, carrying the woman with him.

"Gorgeous Gal" could only look up towards Shaggy in admiration before giving a small blush, her heart slightly beating... which had to be quickly fizzle out for the moment as she heard the ghost wailing behind her. She heard Shaggy say, "Like, hang tight, Gorgeous! I'll... think of some plan!"

Daphne could only look up at the young boy as little hearts quickly swirled around her head. "My hero..."

As the two kids and the large ghost passed by an empty janitor cart, an IPod that was stationed at the center quickly turned on to play some rather... cheesy song that had an unidentifiable singer singing about running down... the young Shaggy swore he heard this song before, back a day ago... what was that song called... "Seven Days a Week"?

EIGHT YEARS AGO...

For some reason, when Shaggy and Daphne (older selves that switched with their younger selves back in time) turned the corner, Shaggy instinctively stopped and turned on the radio, which happened to be playing the very song that was playing in the future timeline. Shaggy couldn't help but smile. "Like, this was... er, IS a bop!"

"Less talking, more running!" Daphne shouted as she and Shaggy started to turn their heads and yelp as they saw the large Clock Monster coming close after them.

"Tick... tick... tick..." The Clock Monster said in a sinister, slimy voice before approaching the two teens.

"Like, zoinks! Did our monsters during our time REALLY look like that?" Shaggy whimpered. "Like, they look..."

"Silly, compared to the actual ghosts we hunted down later on?" Daphne guessed.

"I was going to say even creepier, but, yeah, let's go with your nostalgic view." Shaggy quickly said as the two of them quickly started to run away, looking back at the silliest, confused look of the large Clock Monster.

The Clock Monster quickly looked around for the strange looking people that he saw. It couldn't put its finger on it, but he could swear that they looked like those two crazy kids, only older and without their hero outfits on. But before he could ponder on it, he felt something bump into him. The clock monster quickly turned to see the pup named Scooby Doo running into his feet before the pup looked up at the monster's eyes.

As predicted, the young Scooby quickly overexaggerated his scared expressions, before making a beeline to the right hallway. Deciding to disregard his thoughts for now, the Clock Monster quickly gave chase to the right, as the music was still playing.

EIGHT YEARS LATER...

Standing behind some flashy, weird backgrounds, both "Commander Cool" and "Gorgeous Gal" were getting caught up in the moment with the silly 'dances' they were doing, in the hopes of distracting the scary ghost that was chasing after them. Weirdly enough, the dancing worked as even the Ghost of Kilijoumango was somehow getting into the act. The two young "superheroes" noticed as they quickly slid out of the backgrounds that were set up next to the doors of a showing of a movie preferably about the wonders of Woodstock, hoping the monster wouldn't notice.

But, unfortunate for them, the ghost let out a loud shout of anger as he tried to rush inside in hopes of searching for the heroes... but it was too dark to see. As the monster floated around in hopes of locating the two kids, both young Shaggy and young Daphne peeked out from under the first chair of the top row, right side, a little snug, but otherwise, they seemed to bit both kids.

"Ssssh." "Gorgeous" shushed her crush before pointing towards the door. "Commander Cool" got the message as he slid off first, followed shortly by "Gorgeous Gal" before crawling out of the theater.

Unfortunately, the ghost heard the kids and let out an angry howl, causing both "superheroes" to forgo the sneaky approach and just run for the doors, kicking them down, and slamming them on the ghost, causing the ghost to momentarily back away, rubbing its face.

EIGHT YEARS AGO...

The Clock Monster rubbed its face angrily as he tried to look around for its victims, hopefully to scare them off as he looked around.

From nearby, Daphne was poking her head out from behind the left hallway before giving a nod to the corner of the other hallway, where Shaggy was standing nearby. Shaggy gave a nod as he stepped out. "Yo! Clock Monster! Try and catch me, out in the wide, open space!"

The Clock Monster immediately turned and gave out various loud ticking sounds before charging forward. Shaggy gave a comical wave before stepping to the side and grabbing a small wire that Daphne had in her purse. "For my sake, Daphne, this distraction better work!"

"If I know my childhood wacky nostalgic hijinks, this almost always works!" Daphne whispered back as both of them lifted the wire and pulled it forward.

Sure enough, the monster didn't notice in time as the large Clock Monster quickly tripped over the ropes and tumbled down... to a set of stairs that led towards the main lobby of the house, causing the Clock Monster to shout out loud mouths of pain as the golden flakes from the skin fell off, hitting each step with its body.

Both Shaggy and Daphne watched as the song that was playing in the background ended, watching the Clock Monster become more of a speck as the long winded staircase went on, each thud and crash coming from the painful falls of the Clock Monster... before they heard a small groan coming with one final crash.

"Like, we have him!" Shaggy smiled as he decided to walk downstairs.

Daphne yelped as she grabbed Shaggy by the collar. "Shaggy, what are you doing?"

"Well, we did the thing, didn't we? We defeated the Clock Monster, he's probably unconscious... and like, best of all, he's prime for the unmasking! And the best part is, we already know what happened, so the case is solved! One less case for our past selves to worry about..." Shaggy explained.

Daphne groaned as she held her head. "While I get your logic, Shaggy, we can't change anything in the past! We could risk paradoxes, time shift, that stupid butterfly effect!"

The tall, lanky man paused briefly as he couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, I do love butterflies!"

"Shaggy, focus and listen, okay? If we change anything in our past, we could potentially ruin our future... which is our present..." Daphne paused as she tried to think. "...and our future... GAH! I hate time travel!"

"But what can we do? By the time we come back, the Clock Monster will still be on the loose." Shaggy pointed out.

"...maybe so, but... I may have an idea on how to HELP our younger selves..." Daphne smiled as she suddenly noticed something peculiar next to the gold flakes and picked it up.

Shaggy gasped as he noted the item Daphne picked up. "Like, I remember that, it's..."

All of a sudden, a loud noise came from behind them. Shaggy and Daphne immediately turned as they saw the young Scooby standing up, looking between the two in confusion.

"Raggy? Raphne?" The pup named Scooby Doo in his Mellow Mutt costume said. "Rold?"

Before he could utter another sentence, the young pup's mind quickly blew up literally as he fell directly into unconsciousness.

Both Shaggy and Daphne looked at each other and smiled nervously, before looking over at the young pup. Shaggy couldn't help but give a smile as he picked up the young pup. "Poor Scoob... I guess the stress of the Clock Monster really got to him..."

"Let's put him back in that closet as well when we get back into the room." Daphne suggested. "That way, once we switch back, he'll think it was a bad dream, and he'll be seeing us in our young forms... playing superhero..."

As she suggested that thought, Daphne gave a small giggle as both Shaggy and Daphne quickly walked away, Shaggy carrying the young Scooby in his arms as Shaggy looked down and smiled. "Heh, I almost forgot how cute Scooby looked as a young puppy."

Daphne gave a small smile. "If you ask me, I think he still acts the same as he always did, even as a puppy. Always full of energy, always loyal, and would give anything for his next meal."

EIGHT YEARS LATER...

Both Commander Cool and Gorgeous Gal panted heavily as they had managed to run as far as their little legs could carry them, which eventually led them back to where they started... in the movie theater where the large unconscious dog they saw was still there, still fainted. They quickly looked at each other as they panted, young Shaggy's tongue letting itself out as young Daphne was panting heavily, looking a bit woozy.

"I feel... lightheaded..." Young Daphne groaned as she felt her legs were starting to get weak.

Immediately, young Shaggy immediately grabbed "Gorgeous Gal" with his arms and lifted her up, as both kids stared at each other. "Just hang tight to me, Gorgeous. I... I think we got rid of that monster for now."

"Yeah, but... who knows when it'll come back..." Young Daphne shuddered in fear as Young Shaggy went upstairs towards the projectionist booth. Around that time, the Ghost of Kilijoumango had entered, in hopes of looking for the two kids, he heard a small sound.

Scooby had started to get up as he rubbed his head with his front paws. "Rhat a ream..."

The sounds of the ghost wailing from outside came from the left as Scooby stopped rubbing his head. Feeling terrified, he slowly turned his head sixty degrees to the left to see the Ghost of Kilijoumango floating in his face.

A loud scream was heard, which caused Young Shaggy to trip on the last step slightly, almost dropping "Gorgeous Gal" on the floor, but quickly catching his step as he got her on the floor. He quickly noted "Gorgeous Gal" panting heavily as he looked concerned. "Like, are you okay, Gorgeous? You're... you're not under the weather are you..."

"N-no..." Young Daphne said as she looked up at Young Shaggy, slowly recovering.

"That's good, because I would have been worried if that creepy ghost had caught you..." Young Shaggy smiled as he looked at the young woman. "I know it was like, we've known each other for a few hours, but seeing how smart you are, how independent you look, and how brave you can be... I know it's all play pretend, but, I like having you around, Gorgeous Gal."

"Oh, please..." Young Daphne said as she gave a small laugh.

"In fact, once I give Mellow Mutt a little talk, I want to have a lot more Commander Cool fun with you... maybe even... well..." Shaggy blushed heavily as he looked to the side. "Well, even though Commander Cool was amazing, I always had a soft spot for Gorgeous Gal in the comics... I mean, after all, she's been Commander Cool's love interest from the beginning, and even though they had their patches, they always find a way to work together, because after all, that's what being part of the team was all about."

Daphne bit her lip nervously as she looked up. "Shaggy, I'm so touched you'd think that."

"Like, thank you. Gorgeous, I want to say..." Shaggy smiled... before noticing something was off. "Wait... Shaggy? How did-" He shook his head as he started to pose and try to save face. "I mean, who is this Shaggy you speak of..."

Daphne groaned. "Ugh, come on, Shaggy, cut the nonsense, I've known your secret identity from the start, I know Scooby's too! And even though my hair is loose, do you... not seriously see who I am? Who do I remind you of?"

Shaggy blinked twice as he stepped back a bit as he examined Gorgeous Gal, before looking at her face. He could only stare at it, puzzled. Daphne groaned as she held her forehead. "Ugh, like, this is ridiculous... and I think I broke a nail!"

It was that moment he heard that sentence... that ONE sentence that only he knew ONE of his friends would say... the only one who cared for her looks...

"DAPHNE?!" Young Shaggy said.

Young Daphne winced as she opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, she and Shaggy noticed a strange glow as a bright light flashed...

EIGHT YEARS AGO...

Daphne hummed a bit as she positioned the ray before looking over towards Shaggy, who shut the closet door. He looked up towards her. "All right, Scooby's back in the closet, and the evidence is on his nose. That's how we found Scooby when we came back years ago, and hopefully, they'll be able to spring the trap."

"Good..." The purple wearing woman smiled, before giving a pause as she looked down.

Shaggy noted the young woman's apprehensive look. "Something the matter, Daph?"

Daphne sighed as she looked up. "I... remember when we finally got back to our right time period... you know, when we were kids stuck in the future... we just escaped who we now know is the Ghost of Kilijoumango. AND... I finally told you the truth of who I really was..."

"Oh yeah..." Shaggy paused.

"It's just... I'm worried..." Daphne groaned as she held her head and went down, but not before pushing the button that activated the ray.

"Daph, don't be. I know you're thinking too hard about... what happened in the here and then, but this is the here and now. Let's not focus on things we said, and embarrassing moments. What matters now is who we are now. And as far as I'm concerned, I still think of you as the independent woman that I see. You're a true superhero, if you know what I mean."

Daphne paused briefly, before smiling. "Just like Commander Cool and Gorgeous Gal, when they had their rough patch..."

"Like, yeah..." Shaggy smiled before holding her hands. "Still, it was nice to be back in the past... too bad we have to go against the Ghost of Kilijoumango again... at least the flakes of gold will be easier for them now... and the last clue..."

"Heh, I'm sure..." Daphne paused briefly, before her eyes widened. "Wait a minute... flakes... paint... room with ourselves on it through the ye-" She gasped as she grabbed Shaggy's face and kissed his lips, surprising him briefly as he blushed. "Shaggy, you're a genius!"

"I am not!" Shaggy yelped a bit, trying to defend himself, before pausing. "Oh, wait! You said genius! Sorry, I thought you said-"

"Never mind. I think we both have the final piece of the case solved! We just need to come up with a plan!" Daphne said as the beam hit them, engulfing them in a flash of white.

"What is your plan?" Shaggy asked.

"You'll see..." Daphne's voice said as the future versions of them quickly disappeared.

After a moment of silence, a flash of white later brought both the young Shaggy and young Daphne back to their timeline, causing them to look around.

"Hey! Like, we're back to the mansion!" Shaggy smiled.

"Yeah, we are!" Daphne sighed before looking at the laser. "Though I wonder why we were brought to that theater with that gho-"

"MORE IMPORTANTLY..." Shaggy shouted, stopping the young woman in the superhero suit to flinch. "YOU'RE GORGEOUS GAL!? Daphne, like, how could you lie to me like that?"

The young Daphne winced, realizing that this was not going to be easy to explain to her young friend... that is, if they WERE still going to be friends after all this...

And that's it for this chapter! How did you guys like it? I think we're about to get close to the climax of the future chapter, but before we get to that, let's settle some matters for the young Pup characters in the next chapter!
