"I do not see why anyone is surprised. Don't they remember that Charlie had already tried to kill his father? What's so strange about him trying to blow up a vampire?" Beverly said

"In the show.."

"In the show they completely forgot about that detail. As it has been said, the introduction of the vampire sucked out the air from the other storylines… not enough interest. And so darling Charlie who was a budding psychopath became a helpless child… that's what the writers did. But in reality Charlie had not changed that much.. I know. I dealt with him on a regular basis, and he did scare me."

"In the meatine Doc Lawson did have a talk with me." Wendy interrupted

"You have recovered nicely from your experience."

"I was lucky wasn't I?... It is over, isn't it?"

"Yes. As far as we can tell it is over… God knows what that woman was… I never believed in the supernatural,, but this experience has made a believer of me."

"She is gone for good now?"

"We hope… Wendy, warn Frank. I know that he is bringing drugs… do not try to deny it. You know that very well…. Well Sheriff Oates suspects it and he is laying a trap for him.. The next trip Frank makes Oates will be waiting for him and will catch him, and send him to jail…. Tell Frank to quit that business if he does not want t go to prison."

"And you told Frank."

"Yes. He was warned…" Wendy said. "He did avoid that trap, and Sheriff Oates was not happy.."

"But what happened to the bomb?" Heather interrupted "You left if hanging there. I assume it did not go off"

"No, Danny disarmed it… and his problem was to tell me about it or not… He sensed what I could do if I got angry… but still he could not keep it secret either… Charlie would try again.. In any case I did see the bomb and asked him what it was… and made him tell me about it."

"Please don't hurt the kid"

Amos' anger was so intense that he could barely talk. His eyes blazed red and the sounds he made in his throat were mere animal growls.

And the sound of Becky's singing barely reached him.

Then Danny had an idea.

"Kisasi!" he shouted "If he destroys the family you won't gave anyone to torment! Calm him down!"

Becky's song was now stronger, and then a rubber ball hit Amos in the chesrt.

"Don't do it brother!"

The fire died in Amos' eyes and he could talk at last.

"Thanks, Danny. I am myself again." He looked at the bomb. "But we cannot let Charlie do these things. He needs to be taught a lesson"

-0-

"And you did."

"Yes. I just dropped the bomb on his bed and waited until he was going to sleep. He saw the bomb and he saw me."

"What did he say?"

"He was scared. And I did look as scary as possible. Red eyes, bared fangs…wicked smile."

-0-

"He's here… Amos here!" Charlie ran screaming. "He's he's"

-0-

"Of course as soon as he left grabbed the bomb and disappeared."

"Did the bomb disappear with you?"

"Anything that I carry disappears…but I took the precaution of removing the explosive before I carried out…: In any case by the time Lenore and Louis came, I was at home calmly discussing plans with Danny. And being surprised to receive such a visit at so late an hour… I was baffled by Charlie's accusation, and the only explanation that I could give was that I had chased him away several times….it was not safe here for a child to play there and that I tried to scare him and I got too scary for him.:

:They accepted it. And in the middle of the night when all of them were sleeping I went to Charlie and woke him up".

"They will not believe you so I am going to deal with you."

"What… what will you do?"

"Like it or not you are the one to carry the Benchley name…and I want to make sure that you do not grow up a criminal. Like it or not, you are going to straighten up."

-0-

"Did you take blood from him?"

"A minimum amount. Just enough to have control of him.. He was not happy, but Beverly would sleep easier ahter that."
