W'Kabi prayed to bast that Queen Mother would pardon him. If she does agree to forgive him, this would be one step closer to fixing his relationship with Okoye. She had asked for a divorce, and he refused the request. He had made it clear that he wasn't going to let her go and that all would be forgiven since he knew T'Challa would forgive him, and with Okoye still as general, it would persuade him. He convinced Okoye to hold on and that they were worth fighting. He admitted he had made a mistake and wished he could gladly take it back. T'Challa still visited him and was glad to know there was still a friendship. What he didn't expect to happen was Thanos snapping his fingers, and half the world would be gone, including T'Challa and Shuri, for five years, and T'Challa passing away. He mourned the loss of his friend and grieved that he could not go to the ceremony.
Okoye once again asked for a divorce, and W'Kabi refused. Okoye is a determined woman, but he believes that he would be able to persuade her. By the next day, Okoye had come back with papers showing that Queen Mother had approved of her divorce and she didn't need his signature. It had broken his heart to know she had gone this route, and he would do anything to win her back. Okoye meant to be, and he had loved her since they were in school together. W'Kabi heard about what had happened when he was transferred to the gorilla tribe; W'Kabi was surprised to hear about another kingdom existing deep in the sea. He had asked to speak with his wife. Okoye had informed him that everything would be good hand and reminded him that it was none of his concerns. Okoye had told him that she had lost her position thanks to the warriors she had fought by herself and had loosed princess Shuri. It had hurt him to learn about this, and he was more regretful in choosing the wrong side. She admitted that she cared for him deeply, but her divorce was still final, and since he would be banished, there was no future for them, and she would not leave Wakanda to be with him.
A month had passed, and he now stood in front of the tribal council pleading his case, begging forgiveness. Okoye stood as he waited for his verdict. He mentally prayed for bast to grant him a favor and with great relief. W'kabi is pardoned. He thanked them graciously, and his eyes sought Okoye.
Namor watched his princess dance around the fire pit using her kimoyo beads to play music. "Come dance with me." grabbing his hand, he pulls her to him with ease. "No, come on, you have to dance with me." Namor shakes his head.
"I rather watch you dance, Itza." Shuri scuffs rolling her eyes. "It is nice to see you in such a way. The Black Panther seems to be enchanting the winged serpent."
"Are you telling me I am a snake charmer?" Shuri lifts her leg over his head, setting herself on his lap face to face. Namor cups her bottom with one hand while the other rubs her outer thigh slowly.
"You have charmed me since we first met. First was your beauty, ability to learn and understand, and devotion to your people and mine in keeping the peace." Shuri blushed at his truth. Namor kissed her clavicle. During the short time with Namor, Shuri noticed his love language is beautiful for a stubborn King. She could tell he struggled with being vulnerable, forcing himself to be open with her. He was revealing his weaknesses.
-Where will we go-
Shuri smiles; she loves this song. Lockdown by Koffee is one of her favorite songs.
-when di quarantine ting done and everybody touch road?-
Shuri slowly moves her hips to the beat of the music. Removing her arms from around his neck, she moves her arm in the air to the music.
- mommy, me go nascar pull up in a fast car, yeah. Anuh false car, yeah.-
She looks up at the stars, slowly moving her body to the music feeling Namor hold her just enough to let her move freely. She rolls her body back and trails her hand to cup her breast, following it down to her stomach.
-A nuh false start
Mek you and di boss par, yeah
I know you're feeling me
You know I'm feeling you
So what now we fi do-
Shuri pulls herself back up, facing Namor, and she can see the hunger in his eyes. She smiles, putting her hand on his shoulders; she slowly pushes him back, ensuring his back rests on the chair. Removing his hand off her, she places it on his side and puts her hand on his chest, leaning a bit.
-Aye fancy
How yuh heart stay, it nah no vacancy?
Last time see yuh pon FaceTime chatting up di place
'Bout you nuh want relationship
Me a go put you pon lock down
Put yuh body pon lockdown, mmm
You got me pon lock now
You got my passion on lock, woah-
While she dances, she purposely grinds, teasing him. Rolling her hips, she sees his arousal. She placed her left hand on his leg, rotating and moving her hips from side to side. Namor hisses, bringing a smile to her lips. Pulling him back up, she wraps her arms around his neck with one hand holding his hair. She can see the annoyance of how she grabbed him, and yet he's trapped. "Shuri..."
"Move with me." Pulling him up on his feet. Turning her back on him, she places his hands on her hips. "feel my hip." her left-hand lay behind his neck, and her right is on top of his hand. Their eyes locked on each other. "listen to the music and feel my body. Don't think about it. Enjoy this, be in the moment with me. There is no one else but us."
-If you love me
You should let me, you should let me
You should let me know
And if you don't now
Better fi let me, better fi let me
A better yuh let me go-
How is it possible for someone so tiny to have so much power over him? For the first time in five hundred years, he finally knew what fear was. Namor protected Talokan for five hundred years without fear of his hurt, without the thought of adverse outcomes, death was not the end of his culture, but for the first time, he feared death's existence. Death will take her, and he will once again be left alone. He will watch his children die, his grandchildren down to his continuing blood nine. He can't imagine the continuous heartbreak he will endure, yet he would do it all just for her and his love for his bloodline. They will be proof of his happiness and a memory of his pain. He will see her in them and remember each generation before the next. Namor pulls away quickly, taking a few steps back before turning away. Grabbing his spear, Shuri immediately blocks his path. "Namor?" He walks past her, but she pulls him around to face her. "What is wrong?" she cups his face in her hands, "did I do something wrong?" His heart breaks at her question.
"You did nothing, Itza." he moves her hand from his face turning to leave, but she pulls him back.
"Then why are you trying to leave?" she looks at him, confused and hurt by his action. Namor looks down at his spear, trying to control his emotions. "Namor."
"I am fearful, Itza," Shuri becomes worried.
"What happened? Are the Americans looking for vibranium again? I assure you Riri is still in Wakanda." Namor curses himself.
"It's you, Shuri." She pulls back, surprised at what he just said.
"I don't understand. I chose you; I told you I wanted you. Are you still thinking about the guy I went on a date with?" he cups her face in his, and she pulls away, becoming angry. "I had made myself clear."
"Shuri, you will die." Shuri looks at him in anger until the realization of his words hits her. "I found you, and I am going to lose you. I will watch our lineage die alone and do it willingly, yet I am terrified to know I will do it alone." Shuri slowly moves closer, removing the spear from his hand and dropping it back onto the sand.
"I'm not a fool. I have thought of that, too, and I hate knowing it is your future but don't stop this because you fear what is to come. Let me love you, K'uk'ulkan." she softly smiles, "I'm letting you love me; it's only fair." He wraps his arms around her waist. Resting his forehead on hers, he sighs in her embrace. She holds him soothingly. "If there is a way I can be with you forever. I will take it without hesitation. That is my promise to you, K'uk'ulkan." He sees the honesty in her eyes, which puts his beating heart at peace." At this moment, Namor knew he would burn or save this world just for her. He would lead his people, and she will be beside him.
"Itza," Shuri smiles softly.
"I'm ready." Namor nodded, kissing her one more.
"Let me take us home." Shuri smiles at the words that leave his lips. Home.
