After Levy, Gajeel, and Lily walked away from the bar, Mirajane continued her interrogation. Her younger sister wasn't telling her anything about her night at the Dragon Slayer's place. It was possible nothing actually happened. However, Mira had a feeling LIsanna wasn't telling her anything on purpose.
"Anyway, back to what we were talking about." A devilish look came over her features. "I know you're not telling me everything. Come on, I'm your big sis!"
A sigh escaped Lisanna's lips. "You really wanna know what happened?"
"YES!" Mira yelled, startling everyone in the vicinity. A blush came to her cheeks as she tried to hide her face. Both ladies noticed every head in the guild hall turned towards them. They were obviously curious about why MIra was screaming. Her younger sister did everything she could not to laugh.
"Alright, alright. Just keep it down." Lisanna giggled, turning towards the bar. She leaned against it and began whispering to her sister.
The two wizards walked to the Dragneel home, each one looking in a different direction. While the silence wasn't awkward, LIsanna could tell her companion was thinking about something.
"So.." Natsu's voice broke through the silence. "How's life been since you came back to Earthland?"
"It's taking some getting used to, that's for sure." The young wizard mentioned. "But my Fairy Tail family has been amazing about the whole thing. Everyone I know has been catching up on the things I've missed. The new guild members are very nice also!"
"Yeah, we've gained quite a few new members since you've been gone. Lucy, Wendy, Carla, Juvia, and Gajeel to name a few." A smile crossed Natsu's face. "It always felt like there was a piece missing in Fairy Tail though, and I think I know what it was."
"Oh?" Lisanna inquired.
"Yeah.." Taking a hold of the young woman's hand, Natsu smiles as they come within sight of his home. "Now that you're back, it seems like everything is right with the world again."
LIsanna blushed a bright shade of red at the Dragon Slayer's words. As they entered his home, Natsu told her to make herself comfortable. The young woman sat on the couch, turning on the television in front of her. She watched as the pink haired wizard raided his own fridge. As he put a snack together, Natsu's features still looked troubled.
"Penny for your thoughts?" The young woman asked, taking him out of his stupor.
"I'm just wondering when Happy's gonna come home." The Dragon Slayer looked out the window. "Their mission wasn't supposed to take them long. I'm just a little worried they're not back yet."
"I'm sure they're fine, Natsu." Lisanna beamed.
"I know you're right." The pink haired wizard gave her his signature toothy grin. "I just know the party would've been a lot more fun with every member there."
"You've gotten pretty close with these newcomers." the young woman noted with a smile. "A lot seems to have happened since I was gone."
"We've been on our fair share of adventures together." Natsu walked into the living room with some food, offering it to her. "Having three Dragon Slayers in the guild has definitely made things more interesting." A chuckle escaped the pink haired wizard's lips.
"How so?"
"There's a lot more noise in the guild hall when the three of us are there. It's almost like Gray and I when we were younger, constantly at each other's throats."
"It seems that you two have grown out of that now." Lisanna mentioned with a grin. "And it looks as though Gray has a girlfriend as well! That's so exciting for him!"
"I-I don't know if I'd consider them dating." The Fire Dragon Slayer chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. "Juvia does everything she can to be around Gray, while he's kind of indifferent about the whole situation."
"Really? When you talk to her, it sounds like it was love at first sight."
"Oh it was… for her at least." Natsu laughed.
"We just watched movies until Happy came home. After that, we all went to bed. Natsu made breakfast for us this morning before I came to the guild hall."
"Really? That's it?" Mira was honestly a little disappointed. She was expecting juicy details of the x-rated variety. "After all these years, I would've thought he couldn't keep his hands off you after seeing you again."
"You're insane!" Lisanna rolled her eyes at her sister's behavior. "Our relationship was never like that!"
"No, but that was also when you two were little kids. Talking every day about getting married and raising Happy as your child." Mirajane giggled. "Now, the two of you are older and need to at least talk about where things left off. You owe it to yourself to do that much, LIs. You never know, he could be just as confused about this as you are."
"I guess you're right, Mira. But if he's got feelings for another girl, I don't want to get in the way of that." Looking down at the wooden counter top, the young woman began to trace the grain pattern. "What if they're meant to be together?"
"What if the two of you are!" Mirajane wasn't backing down, giving her sister a stern look.
Lisanna sighed, taking a deep breath. "I think we're getting a little too worked up here." While her sister was making a good point, the entire guild didn't need to know what they were talking about.
"Just talk to him, Lis. There's no harm in letting him know how you feel." Mirajane made her final point, before attending to the rest of the patrons at the bar. This left her younger sister to ponder everything they've talked about.
Ya know what? Mira's right! Lisanna thought to herself, now more determined than ever. I'm just letting this opportunity slip through my fingers without holding onto it. What if Natsu also has feelings for me?
Getting off of her stool, the shape-shifting mage walked towards the doors of the guild hall. Lisanna was determined to at least tell Natsu how she truly felt.
AN: I have recently bought a set of Tarot cards! Since they have a connection to the stars as Lucy does. I thought it'd be fun to use them in this story. P
"I gotta say ladies," Pantherlilly walked right behind the two girls. "This has been a truly relaxing weekend. I'm honored you let me come along, Levy."
The script mage smiled happily. "We're glad you're here! Your company has been fantastic, Lily."
"I've gotta hand it to you, I didn't know you were so good with library research. We would've been buried in books all weekend if you hadn't been there to help us." Lucy mentioned. "I don't think we'd be here now if it weren't for your speedy work."
"Anything I can do to help my fellow teammates." Pantherlilly commented. "In Edolas, I would spend a lot of time in the libraries there. When I wasn't training or guarding the castle, I would be reading up on our history. Finding the books using Earthland's strategies is child's play compared to how they organized things."
"In that case, I'll let you tag along anytime!" Levy had a smile on her face as she laughed.
The three wizards made their way down the streets of Hosenka. After their mission, they took the rest of their weekend to relax. Levy and Lucy were pulled in by all of the different shops. The Celestial wizard picked up a couple of keys, as well as different lotions and body scrubs to try. The Script mage went to the several bookstores that were in the square. Levy picked up several different paperbacks that she'd been searching for.
Tonight was their last night here, before they would take the train to Magnolia in the morning.
"Is there anything else you ladies want to do while we're here?" Pantherlily inquired. "The night is still young."
"I heard there was a carnival going on!" Levy mentioned with a grin. "Some of the citizens were talking about it. There's going to be food vendors, face painters, and all kinds of stuff."
"That sounds like a great time!" Lucy beamed. "Whaddya say, Lily?"
"Let's go!"
As the trio began to walk towards the square, they saw how many people were here for this event. It took Pantherlily by surprise. Instead of remaining in his cute form, he decides to take on his larger form. In order to protect the two ladies in front of him, Lily had to remain vigilant.
"What should we do first?" The Celestial wizard asked, looking around the street. There were vendors that began setting up along the street. Each was selling something different. The one closest to them was selling Tarro cards and different kinds of crystals.
"Ooh, look at these cool crystals!" Levy gravitated towards the tent in front of them. Lucy chuckled and followed her friend. Taking a look at the different incense, cards, crystals, stones, and other things, Lucy became enamored with the little shop that was set up outside.
As the Celestial Mage continued to walk around the tent, she noticed an older woman in the corner of the room with a crystal ball on a table. Lucy knew better than to listen to a 'psychic', but something about this woman with blue-white hair intrigued her.
"Would you like a reading, dear? The older woman gave the Celestial mage a kind smile. "This one's on the house!"
"Really?" Lucy raised her brow. I guess it can't hurt if it's free, right? "Sure, I guess it can't hurt."
"Please have a seat." Gesturing towards the chair, the psychic pulled out a deck of tarot cards. "Would you like a tarot reading? Or a prediction from my crystal ball?"
"Uh… just the tarot reading today." The Celestial mage said with a grin. She'd played with a deck of those cards before. They were able to give her guidance during tough times Lucy watched as the woman shuffled the deck several times before fanning them out in her hands.
"What question will you be answering today?"
"A question?" The mage raised a brow.
"Yes dear." The woman smiled happily. "Asking the deck a question you're wanting answered will help me read the cards to your situation."
"Okay…" Lucy thought for a moment. Several different options popped into her mind. As much as she wanted to know about her relationship with Natsu. There was something else that was eating at the Celestial Mage. Ever since coming back from Edolas, the young woman has felt incomplete. Lucy feels as though she's been stagnant in her own training. While all of the missions and adventures she's been on have each given her experience, she's never had a big job on her own.
In order to grow as a wizard, Lucy felt she needed to gain this experience. Erza was taking missions constantly on her own. The scarlet maiden captured high-target members of dark guilds, along with other monsters and beasts. She was the epitome of a powerful woman. Lucy hoped to one day be just like her. However, the thought of taking that leap gave her quite a bit of anxiety.
"I've been having anxieties about my future. Could I get some clarity?"
"Any particular area of your life dear?"
"Personal." Lucy smiled brightly. "I've been growing as a person a lot lately, and I want to take a giant leap in becoming a better wizard. However, the thought of doing so shakes me up just thinking about it."
The older woman nodded with a grin. "I want you to choose six cards, lay them face down on the table once you've chosen them."
Lucy was careful to pick out her cards. Once they were laid out, the older woman flipped over the cards from left to right. As she looked at the spread, a small glimmer came over her features.
"Is that a good sign?"
"This reading is telling me a lot." The gray haired woman beamed. The Chariot, Wheel of Fortune, Death, The Emperor, The Fool, and The Hermit lay in front of her. "It's telling me you're feeling a little at war with yourself. You are looking for a change and you're wanting it to happen rather quickly. While you want this change, you fear that it will change your life for the worse."
"You can tell all of that just by these cards?" Lucy was taken aback.
"Tarot cards are a gateway to our answers. They allow us to ask questions to the universe and gain clarity." Looking back at the deck of cards, she continues. "Dear, you shouldn't feel this way, you have many people by your side that will help you achieve your goals." Pointing to The Emperor, the older woman smirked. "This card is showing me support from a male figure in your life. Perhaps a boyfriend, or even a father figure."
Seeing the young blonde blush in front of her, the woman chuckled. "Moving on… As much as you want this change to happen, I exercise caution in making quick decisions." Her finger moved to The Fool card. "If you do something rash, it's likely to end with negative results. Take your time and do some of your own introspection. This change is coming. You just have to be prepared for it."
Lucy was speechless as she looked down at the cards. Change is coming..
The older woman noticed the distraught look on the Celestial Mage's face. Placing one of her hands on Lucy's, she gives her a kind smile. "I hope this reading has helped clear your mind."
"I think it's made it a little more confusing, to be honest." The young blonde chuckled.
"Here." Smiling at the group of wizards, Levy and Lily had joined some time ago. "I want you to take these cards home with you. If you ever need guidance, these can help lead the way."
"Are you sure?" Lucy raised a brow. It was strange to her that this woman is offering her a free deck of tarot cards, as well as a reading. "I feel like I should give you something for them."
"Please, think of it as a gift."
"Uh, thank you." Taking the deck that was bound with ribbon, Lucy says her goodbyes to the older woman. She continued to look at the tarot cards as she left the tent.
"That was strange.." Levy mentioned, watching her best friend. The blonde had a confused look on her face as she continued to walk around. "You okay, Lu?"
"Yeah.." the Celestial mage gave her friend a smile. "We're going to have to use these when we get back to Magnolia! I have so many questions to answer."
