"Oh Robbie stopped by the other day. He wanted to talk to me about how he and Aubry were helping you out. I'm happy we have them." Shadow told his wife. He noticed Laura tense when he said Robbie's name.

"Laura? What's wrong? Did something happen?" He asked her worriedly. She looked at him. She rubbed her face. "I'm sorry puppy." She mumbled. He was even more concerned.

She looked so broken when she looked at him once more.

"Robbie came over to burry Dummy... I got drunk and we... we slept together..." She told him. "I don't really remember it all. I just remember... saying your name... and that's really it. I was so emotional and drunk." She continued.

Laura looked into his eyes. She saw the guilt, regret, and honesty in her eyes about her words. She was telling the truth. And it killed him that his wife and best friend slept together. Sure, she was drunk. His best friend took advantage of his drunk and emotional wife.

So, he couldn't put the entire blame on her.

"I forgive you Laura. I do. You weren't in the right mind. I will talk to him when I get out." He told her. She looked like a weight was taken from her shoulders.

Laura quickly hugged him, she heard the guard but she held on. Shadow wanted to hold her, but they both knew that if he did, he could get into trouble.

She moved away. "I'm sorry. I just needed a hug." She told the guard and sat back down. The guard stepped back once more. "Well. On a better note, I should be out early. I see the parole office in two months. I've been really well behaved so I should be able to get out." Shadow told her.

"I will be out of here, and things will be back to normal. I promise you that. I will make things right. And we can keep trying for a baby." He promised again. She gave a smile and nodded to his words. "Just keep being a good Puppy for me. And I will be good for you." She told him.

He nodded and was soon taken away.

Laura had some hope of a life with him again. But it all came crashing.
