Several days earlier.
"General Savrasov, may I come in?" Sablin said as he slightly opened the door of the office.
"Yes Dmitry, come in." Savrasov answered to the young hunter. "What happened? You're in such rush."
"We lost second reconnaissance squad!" Dmitry said loudly, as the door of the office was closed. "We can't connect with them."
"It's really terrible." Savrasov put the pen which he was writing in papers on his table. "When the contact you last time?"
"Two days ago, Sir." he merely answered. "And they were to contact me today."
"But they didn't do it, did they?" Dmitry nodded in agreement. "Remind me who was in that squad."
"Yes Sir, Liza Prokofieva and Potapov Michel."
"Ah, the woman with telekinesis abilities and the master of light, if I'm not mistaken?" the man asked the hunter again.
"Yes commander, you're absolutely correct." Dmitry referred. "I think it was "The Third Law" there's no doubt in it."
"Are you sure in it?" the commander asked narrowing his eyes. "There are a lot of other criminal organizations in Japan who capture hunters, like NOMAD or Washizu Group. I also don't mention about the other small bunches of other criminals."
"I have no doubt in it." the boy said and screwed up his fists.
The man sighed and said, "Sit down." he pointed at the chair in front of him and said as the young hunter sat. "What do you want from me?"
"Do you want to hear an honest answer?" the man nodded, "I want you to use your authority and send two strong squads to Japan. One will investigate the seals and another one will try to find the clues about the lost team."
"And what candidates do you want me to represent then?" the man put his hands in a lock and put his chin on them.
"In first group, who will try to find the clues about our comrades, I'd wanted to assign Vlasova Maria, and Potapov Ilya."
"Interesting choice, why them?" he asked an interest could be seen in his face.
"First, they have already worked with each other and showed impressive results. Ilya's long ranged combat style and close combat style of Maria are impressive." he couldn't continue as he was interrupted.
"If I remember Ilya is younger brother of Michel, am I right?"
"Yes Sir, you're right, he also possesses the power of light." Dmitry answered. "But instead of his brother he uses two guns. Also they know some members of the "The Third Law" firsthand so they're well prepared to face them."
"Did you deliberate about it carefully?" Savrasov asked Dmitry, "As I remember Vlasova's brother is in that organization, and at the same time, if they also took part in attacking the lost team, it will be a personal mission for them. Won't their emotions meddle to think rationally to them?"
"I ensure you that they're skillful hunters and they're not the ones, who keen on their emotions." Sablin merely referred. "There's no doubt they will do their mission perfectly."
"Very well, and what about the other team." the man asked the boy a bit more seriously, like he knew what he will say.
"As another team I'd like you to send Seer and Penetrator."
The man sighed heavily and answered, "Do you understand that it's impossible to do?" he stopped for a second to rub his nasal bridge, "Why do you want to send them so badly?"
"Being demons, to be honest not just ordinary demons, they can try to find the locations of the seals faster than other ordinary hunters."
"Yes, you right but they were concealed so impressive, that we haven't found even one of them."
"Only several people in the world can find them, but as you know we don't possess such an opportunity. So it's the better way us is to send these two."
The man chuckled, "You grow up pretty quickly little one, I remember you like a small kid who was always wanted to become a demon hunter, but now you're doing such suggestions in front of me, being in charge of an important mission, and sharing your suggestions and ideas with me." Dmitry blushed a little at such statement.
"There's nothing special Sir, I'm doing what I must do." Dmitry muttered.
"By the way, I was think about one problem and I think it would be a good thing to ask your opinion."
"What is it Sir?" the boy asked not understanding.
"How do you think is it a good idea to tell to these Taimanin about these criminals?"
"Commander, you've never given such notions. It's also strange to hear something like this from you who always watched at all organizations who had any different connections with demons, with caution. What's on your mind?"
"Well if you were on my place, would worn those hunters?"
"I think yes. As we are trying to build good relations with them thus there's no need to hide secrets from them, but if you asked me this than you have an idea in your mind?"
"Just some thoughts, don't take in mind." Savrasov merely answered to Sablin. Dmitry nodded and then decided to take his leave.
The man sighed when the young hunter left, "Young man has really grown up. It would be funny to watch at him at my ages."
Savrasov was forty years old; he had fair hair and grey eyes. He was wearing grey trousers with white shirt, and over it there was the same colour waistcoat. He also had crew-cut hair. While he was sitting on his chair and was spinning the pen in his hand he was pondering aloud.
"Why does this boy want to send those two so much?" he stopped for a while, "Maybe he is right and they are really overstayed on their positions?" he asked himself. "Vlasova and Potapov then, with these two there won't be real problems, but with those two demons." he put the pen onto the table and sat back. "Very well, I'll think something and try to convince our officials to send them to Japan." he took the pen again and started to write something with it again on sheets he had on the table.
"Hey, Pavel you haven't told anything about yourself to us yet!" the female voice exclaimed.
"What would you like to know?" the Russian hunter asked Maki.
"Well for example tell us why did you decided to become a demon hunter?" Maki continued to fill her friend up with her questions.
They were walking by streets of Gosha village. It was a place where all Japanese Taimanin had to live secretly. However many of adult hunters lived in the other cities of Japan. The village was looking like an ordinary village, but being a bit bigger at the same time. It had a lot of buildings. The students were walking by its streets having their free time as this day they had no lessons.
"It's a difficult question Maki, it would be better to tell you this, when we reach that pastry-shop." the Russian boy answered the question.
"I think Pavel is right, so let's get there first." another boy said.
After a while they reached two-storied building, they entered into it, and heard, "Welcome to Inageya." They heard a voice of old lady.
"Hello Inage-san." Aki and Maki said to the old lady at the same time.
"Good afternoon, Inage-san." Ren said a bit more politely.
The only thing Pavel did was the gesture with his hand and a slight smile. The team took the last place at the table which was calculated for four people. "This pastry-shop always have many customers on Sundays, it's impressive that there's still a free place." Aki said to Pavel, while the girls were ordering their desserts. Then the three of them made their orders, but the Russian boy was a bit mixed-up in his order. "If you don't know what to eat." Maki said, "Then take Animitsu." It's a popular dessert here."
"Ok, then let's do so." Pavel said, and ordered what his friend advised.
"So Pavel, what made you to become a hunter?" Maki asked the teen.
"To be honest I don't know how to answer this question. "Maybe I wanted to be like my father, to fight demons, who tries to conquer our world. And turn us into slaves. I haven't thought about it properly to be honest."
"Is your father a hunter?" another male student asked him.
Pavel smile and merely answered "Honestly, I know nothing about my father." his friends looked at him puzzled not understanding his answer. Pavel saw it, and then continued. "The problem is that he disappeared when I was still a little child. However my mother and brother don't tell me about him too much, I only know that he was a good hunter and disappeared during one of his mission."
"Are your brother and mother are hunters?" the tanned girl asked.
"No they are not." Pavel referred to her. He lied back onto the back of his chair and continued, "My mother is not a hunter. And my brother wanted to live a peaceful life. By the way, what did make you to become hunters?" Pavel asked his friends.
"Well, my and Aki's parents are hunters, but now they decided to stop their job and live a peaceful life too." Maki said.
"However they wanted us to become hunters like they are. So they send us here and now were trying to become good hunters." Aki smiled and all turned to tanned huntress.
"There's nothing special about me." She merely said.
As she said their orders arrived and they started to eat them slowly. Pavel saw a puzzled face of Ren and asked her. "Hey Ren, is something bothering you?"
She glared at him and said, "I still want to know, what are true aims and ideals of you government, why haven't you tried to build contacts with us earlier?"
"Ren-chan." the Japanese boy whispered, "Do you really think that Pavel knows details?"
"No. But still…" she was interrupted by Pavel.
"Don't worry Aki, Ren's reaction is right in some ways I also would be overly suspicious." he sighed and had a bite of his dish. "Our country was in shadows quite long and broke all relations with a big number of other countries. The UFS is becoming stronger and stronger and threats to other world. The Chinese union is doing the same and I think our government is afraid to build connections with other structures that are connected with demons." he stopped and made another bite. "I'm not a politician, but as I know we had many traitors and other corrupted people who had to be changed, but ensure I you that nor me or Oleg Semenovich, won't harm you. Our mission here is to make good impression about Russian hunters, and at the same time to build good connections with your government."
"I am still not sure in it." Ren referred to him.
"Then I have no other chance, but prove it with my deeds." he said with a wide smile. "I'll prove you that you can trust us!"
Ren made a bit of her dish and asked him, "By the way what bounds you with Tereshkov-sensei?"
The boy laughed a bit loudly, what made the customers to turn to them, but they quickly turned off, "Well I can tell you about it pretty long, it's a very funny story! It's very big, but I will try to tell you about it concisely. Well we're I should start?" he stopped for a second, but then started, "First I must say that he was my teacher in Russia. I started to study his subject when I was fifteen years old. His subject was very difficult for me so I always fall asleep during them. Firstly he didn't pay attention to it, but then he created a perfect method of studying." he smirked.
"What was this method about?" another boy asked.
"He called me for a training battle. As I remember he knew that I appreciated more combat lessons, so he took me to training room, he gave me a wooden sword and when I was about to rush at him he asked me a question I don't remember what it was about, but I was taken aback, and I didn't noticed how he hit me at my head." he put his hand onto his head and continued, "So then he started to give me knowledge in this manner. He knocked in into me literally." then he heard a chuckle he saw that Ren closed her mouth and turned her head away. "So it's a bad idea for you to sleep on his lessons, Maki, because his method is working." Ren couldn't handle and laughed.
"Yes, I think need this method during all other lessons."
"Hey Ren-chan it's not fair. You know I'm trying hard to study well." the brown hair Taimanin protested, and this time to chuckle was after Aki. "It's not honest, not all are created for sciences." she continued to complain.
"By the way, what could you tell about Yatsu and Igawa sensei?" Pavel decided to ask his friends this time.
"Well Yatsu-sensei is a very strict person." the brown hair girl said, "And she has no favorite students. She always harsh, and never forgives those who are doing a lot of mistakes." she neared to the middle of the table and whispered, but that her friends could hear her, "Some people tell that she is a lesbian."
She didn't notice who her head was hit from two sides, "It's impolite to talk such things about other people, what you would say if someone tells that you love girls."
"I'd tell that their mistaken and I love Aki-kun." she said grinning.
"It's not funny Maki." the Japanese boy said turning his head away.
'Looks like that Maki likes to tease this boy, but I think that she merely likes him.' Pavel thought. "By the way Ren, how do you think who is the better, Yatsu or younger Igawa?"
"They are both good teachers, the have their bad and good sides." she ate her dish and continued, "Igawa-sensei is kind and merry; it's easy to find a common language with her. But Yatsu-sensei is different she is harsh, and can be easy in a swivet. However, if you find a way she also can help you and give a value advice. So I think it's not correct to say who is better."
"However, she thinks that Igawa Asagi is the best." Maki said and added a fuel to the fire, as he took another cuff on the nape.
"Life doesn't teach you to think before talking Maki." Pavel said and then added.
But then they hear another shout from the next table, there was sitting a girl with a boy. The girl had long brown hair tied in pigtails, she was wearing a school uniform of Gosha academy and the boy was in it too. The girl was tanned but a bit more than Ren. The boy had not too long blue hair. They were talking about something, and the most energetic person was of them was the girl. The group didn't understand their conflict, but Aki said to puzzled Pavel.
"Don't worry, Yukikaze and Tatsuro always acts something like this." Pavel didn't respond, so Aki said, "They're student at the academy bit they're younger then we."
They ate their dishes and left the pastry-shop, and went to show other parts of the village.
The night has covered Japan. However the life in the Tokyo Kingdom City didn't stop. It was a small so called island-city that was occupied by demons and other criminals. Trade markets, slave shops, it was normal for this place, it was possible to see demons who was selling their slaves, who was almost naked. The city was a perfect place for illegal work. The light has illuminated it streets so it seemed that it was a daytime.
"What we have forgotten here?" the irritating voice said. "If I wanted to watch at primates I'd prefer to go to the zoo."
"Walter, you'll know everything soon enough." the man in the hood and the cloak said. "We won't linger here for long."
"What do you want to do here, by the way?" the companion of the hooded person asked.
"I want to meet and to talk with one person."
"What person or it's just another secret?" the person didn't calm down. That only made the hooded person to make a deep sigh. "I hated surprises." Walter said a bit calm, "The last surprise, which I took, led me to my lost."
"Don't worry I think you'll like." it wasn't noticeable but the hooded person smirked.
"Hey, guys do ya want to get some entertainment?" a massive and muscled orc came to them with a girl who had a dog collar with a chain, which was pretty long and the end of the chain was in the orc's hand. The girl was pretty beautiful; she had long wheat hair, which was tied in a ponytail. She was wearing nothing but a swim suit, which consisted of strings and some kind of tank top.
"Sorry, but we're not intended to do such a thing for now." the man in the cloak waved away from the orc.
"Hey!" he exclaimed, "Do ya mean that this bitch isn't good for ya?" he pulled at the chain and made the girl came closer to the person with a jerk. "Just look at her. Her hair, her face." he squeezed her cheeks. It was possible to see that the woman pleaded for a help with her emotions. "And just look at her boobs!" he squeezed her breasts and forced her to make a loud cry, she bit her lip. "Spread ya legs!" the orc commanded to the poor girl. The man noticed that the girl was pretty beautiful, but didn't show any sign of it. When the orc commanded it she squat down widely spreading her legs that her low precious become noticeable.
"You can do with me whatever you want." she muttered quietly.
"Not interested, get lost." the person said a bit irritated, but the demon took his cloak and shouted.
"Don't talk to me like this bastard!" the orc hit the man, but he didn't get him as the man disappeared from his place. He appeared behind the orc and made a move with his hand. The orc was unable to move so fast, and it was his end. His head was separated from his body. The orc fell onto the ground lifeless. The girl was so scared she fell too, closing her head with her arms trying like she was trying to protect herself screaming. But after a second she opened her eyes and saw that these two persons were just standing.
"My advice to you, girl." the man said quietly, "Run as fast as you can from this place and be careful." The poor thing nodded and quickly ran away from the place where was lying the dead orc.
"Why did you help her?" Walter asked his companion.
"I didn't help her. The monster just unnerved me, if he wasn't so annoying he could live further." The person answered to Walter peacefully.
Their further way proceeded in silence they came to the tall skyscraper. It was protected from the entrance by two orcs. They also were massive and tall.
"Well, we're at the place."
"Do you want to tell that this tall building is our place?" Walter asked amused.
"Yes, now we're to wait the person who should meet us." The man turned his head to the right and left, but saw nothing. "She's being late. Now Walter, listen to me hide somewhere for a while."
"What?!" he exclaimed. "What is the meaning of this?!"
"I don't want to afraid our target, when I need I'll connect with you."
"You impress me, mortal! If you want me to hide then why did you take me with yourself?" Walter still didn't understand.
"You will know everything soon enough, I think your presence will be decisive."
"Very well, then tell me when you need my help." Walter said and disappeared immediately.
Five minutes later a tall woman went out of the building, she had long pink hair, her skin was dark. She was in a black jacket, a black miniskirt and with the same colour heels. When she came closer to the man it was possible to see that she had, purple rouge on her lips, and she had a nevus on the left part of her face a bit lower the mouth. The person also noticed that the woman had no brassiere or even a shirt under her jacket. And her eyes were the colour of pure hazel.
"Are you from "The third law"?" the woman asked the man.
"Yes, I am." he only responded.
"Follow me, Mister Black is waiting for you." she said and went again to the building. The person went after her make a small distance between them. When they entered the building there was nothing special. The ground floor looked like an ordinary lobby. There were many different people and demons who were chatting with each other. When the woman and the man entered it all gazes started to fall onto them.
"Don't worry until you are with me they will not touch you." she said to the person.
"I ensure you that I'm not worried." he said in his manner, peacefully.
They came to the elevator and the woman pushed the button and both of them started to wait for it. She pushed the button with the needed floor. And the elevator started to go up. After a while they came to the last floor and reached the needed door, which was in the end of the corridor. The woman said to wait and opened the door entering into it. "Come in!" he heard her voice behind the door. He opened the door and entered the cabinet too. When he came in he saw a middle-aged man who was sitting in the office chair. He had grey spiky hair, also they were brushed back. He had the same grey eyes. His attire consisted of rich aristocratic suit. Dark classic trousers and coat with a red lining. Under it he had a black shirt with white stripes, with a blue tie. "So you are the leader of "The Third Law", are not you?" he asked the person with a strange smile.
'So this is the famous Edwin Black, who proclaimed himself as the Vampire king. Yes I can sense his power, it's a good thing that I took Walter with myself.' the man thought understanding that in fair combat he will never be able to stand against him for long all alone. "Greetings Mister Black." The man started. "Unfortunately, not I'm a representative of it. I was commanded to talk to you."
"So, what do you want from me?"
"I think you've already heard about our organization, haven't you?"
"Quite a bit." Black answered.
"But heard. As NOMAD, we have our bases all over the world too. We would like to cooperate with you."
"What do you want to find in it?" he asked another question.
"We just want to build good relations with you. We want to start to trade and exchange with you. This world is big and it has enough space for both of us."
Black chuckled, "There is no need to talk to me about such things as trust, and cooperation. I have heard about your organization not so much, but still I know that you always try to absorb your temporary allies. That's why you've enlarged your territories so fast." he stopped, but then added, "If it is the only thing why wanted to see me, then you would better to go, while I am in a good mood." The woman who was standing next to the Edwin moved to the person, but then the person said.
"To be honest, it wasn't a main part of our conversation. I think you don't know about our activities."
"Why should I be interested in your business?" the vampire asked frowning his brows a bit.
"I would like to talk with you about it without extra ears." the person turned his head to the woman.
"How dare you." the woman said between her teeth, but was stopped by Black's hand.
"I trust to Ingrid. And if it is something important, you may be sure that she will never tell a single word about it without my permission." he merely answered.
"If you say so, then I can be calm." the man exhaled. "Do you remember about the seals over Japan?"
"What seals?" Edwin asked the man.
"The seals that were left in Japan long ago. Don't tell me that someone like you could forget about them."
"You mean the seals that were supposed to close the demon gates?"
"Yes, I'm meaning them. As you know the seals become weaker and weaker." the man in the office chair nodded. "That's why strong demons can pass through them in both sides. But there are those who want renew them."
"Who exactly?" he asked the hooded person.
"Hunters from Russia." he answered. "They have already sent several groups to Japan. We also illuminated some of them."
"And what do you want from me? To take care about them?" the man was about to respond, but he was interrupted, "I know the principle of their work. They were created not for ordinary demons and even not for noble one, so even we can travel thorough them." Black said coldly becoming a bit unnerved. "But at least what do you want to do with them?"
"We want to destroy them." the person said calmly.
"You what?" Black said severely letting his aura. The person felt it and it was pretty hard to show no emotions. Ingrid felt it to and looked at his boss, with a worried glance. "What do you want to do?!" he asked the person again squeezing his hands in a lock.
"You've heard everything right, we want to destroy them."
"Do you understand what will happen if you do so." he asked again.
"I'm not allowed to tell you all our plans. I was sent here only to ask your help to destroy the seals."
"Then what would you say if I will not let you go and give a sign to your organization sending your corpse to them."
"I'd say that it's a bad idea, Mister Black." he said as the Vampire appeared in front of the man. The person shouted quickly "Now!" And Black's hand which was about to hit the person was stopped by another. In front of Black has appeared the same tall person with black medium sized hair and with golden eyes. This new comer was appareled in a grey mail. Black's arm was holding in the same grey steel gloves. His boots were high and also were made of steel. And also he had a grey cloak which closed his back.
"So that's why you took with yourself mortal." the new comer with a strange smile. "Yes, your surprise is quiet unexpected. Long time no see, Edwin."
Black wrested his hand out of the new comers grip. Ingrid was about to use her sword which appeared unexpectedly in her hand, but was stopped by Black.
"Just in time Walter." the person said exhaling.
"So you wanted to meet this traitor, didn't you?" Walter said glaring at Black.
"What are you doing here Walter? You were supposed to be dead." Edwin said a bit astonished, but still not giving any signs of it on his face.
"Somehow I could survive, traitor." Walter said coldly, but still with a smile. "How do others call you a vampire king or even immortal king?" Walter continued. "Your ego has increased since our last meeting."
"But you are still the same as I see, Walter, showing your pathos, and importance to all." Black said with the same cold smile.
"Walter, we're here not to fight, but to talk." the man reminded to his companion.
"Fine."
"I'll say it again. Will you help us to destroy the seals Mister Black?" but there was no answer, just an anger stare at their side, so the man continued, "Well then, I'll give you a good advice. Don't interfere in our act, sit tightly and do what you did before, but if you stand in our way, we won't be sitting quietly. Now we can leave."
Walter teleported behind the man and covered him with his cloak and they both disappeared.
"Black-sama, who were those people?" the only thing Ingrid asked.
The vampire king returned to his place. And went deeply in to his mind, the only thing he said to Ingrid was to leave him awhile. Ingrid left the office leaving Black all alone.
'So that means if Walter alive, then she also could survive that battle. I must think carefully about further acts.' he thought and started to ponder about current situation.
