Chapter 13
"Sir, another syndicate was destroyed." a demon said to another one who was sitting at the table with a cigarette in his mouth.
"What." the demon at the table who was a werewolf said, "Whose one was attacked this time?" he threw his cigarette into the ashtray, and looked at the demon that was in front of him.
"Zakt's." the demon responded, the second demon was an orc. "We've just received information that all you know who did this?" the werewolf asked the orc, it was possible to hear that the demon was irritated.
"No, we still have no information that could do this." the orc replied, "However we can't deny it that they were killed by Taimanins."
"Do you have any information on how they were killed?" the werewolf asked another question.
"Yes, our spies have already investigated their base. And we found that the most part of them were sliced mercilessly, and at the same time some of corpses were burnt."
"I think it obviously." the werewolf roared, "It was that lighting and slicing Taimanins, how were their names?"
"Rinko and Yukikaze, the orc informed." but then added, "But I'm afraid, that the ones who did this weren't the ones you've mentioned."
"What?" the werewolf didn't understand what the other demon mentioned.
"It's good that we're the first ones who reached Zakt's base." the orc started, "As we could find out a bit about that this mysterious person."
"Person? Do you want to tell that it was only one person?" the demon at the table was amused and interested.
"Yes, we found out that it was a person in white armor with two blades who was using lighting abilities, however we don't think that it was a Taimanin."
"Then who it was?" the werewolf was intrigued.
"We don't know this." the orc confessed.
"I see." the sir sighed, "Does Black know about it?"
"Yes sir, I've sent him the report too."
"And?" the demon asked again his subordinate, "Have you received an answer?"
"I'm afraid, but he hasn't responded yet."
"Damn Black, I don't understand him in recent times." the werewolf roared, "He ordered to reduce our raids, but still didn't explain why we must do it."
"If Black said, we must do it then we must do it, his word is a law." the orc stated.
"I know this, but still if you say something like this, and then at least try to explain why we should do this." the werewolf was irritated and tired from inactivity, "And even this bitch Oboro, is silent."
"Sir, it's good that they don't hear you right now." the orc admitted, "If master Black order us not to act, then it must be something really serious if he ordered to do so."
"Fine, don't start it again." the werewolf tried to shut his subordinate; "You may be free, go and check our supplies." the demon ordered to orc, the orc merely nodded and left the office, "White warrior." the werewolf said as the door was closed and he left alone, "Interesting what Black will tell."
"Mystic it's too reckless especially for yourself." the man in dark purple uniform and metal claws on his hands said, "It will be really difficult to work only with the two of us." the man nodded at the demon that ha a horse head and wings on his back.
"Don't worry Archon." the man with the hood and the cloak said turning to Archon, "I took only the two of you, because this mission demands stealth Tiradex is bad in it and Richar was sent on my place to Sapporo."
"But still you could take Liza or that kid with us." Archon still couldn't believe that there will be only three of them.
"The kid is still practicing with his abilities, and Etienne asked me not to take her this time." Mystic explained.
"You're too kind with him." Archon said to Mystic remembering the man with the glasses and the doctor's robe.
"He is valuable to our organization, that's why we must be tolerated with him." Mystic said.
"Maybe you'll add something?" Archon turned to the demon with the horse head.
"I think we will do everything perfectly." the demon said, "The other question is how we're going to enter this place?"
"I have a plan, but still we have to kill all inside of this place." Mystic started to explain. "Tardis you'll go to the roof and try to attract their attention. Archon and I will sneak into the building and find the seal; I think it must be here."
"I will do my best." Tardis nodded and was about to take wing, but was stopped by Archon.
"Wait! I haven't fixed our communication."
"Oh sorry." Tardis replied.
Archon stretched his arms, Tardis grabbed the left one and Mystic grabbed the right one. He closed his eyes and after two or so minutes opened them and his comrades released his arms, "Now you can go." Archon nodded to Tardis and Tardis did a swing with his wings and took wing into the air and flew to the building they were looking at.
"When the demons will start to gather on the roof, I'll transfer us into the building so prepare yourself." Mystic warned his companion.
"Honestly, I hate you transferring." Archon said and took a deep breath.
They saw how Tardis landed onto the roof and after a little time more demons started to appear on the roof.
"Now." a strong puff of wind started to for around them and then they disappeared in the wind's whirl.
"Well it's so good to be on a mission again." Pavel said stretching his arms.
"Do you like to be on missions so much?" Chikeko asked Pavel with interest. "I thought that only Maki acts so positively during missions."
"How should I say it, I don't like missions so much, but still I don't like to twiddle my thumbs." the Russian boy said, "When I was in Russia I always tried not spend my time pointlessly."
"And what did you do when you were studying in Russia?" Chikeko asked him again.
"When I had free time, I was attending sport clubs or practicing with Oleg Semenovich, and sometimes was helping to my family."
"It seems that you have affection towards him." Chikeko noticed.
"Kinda." the boy agreed, "After all he was the one who taught me everything I now." the boy said quietly, but then quickly become more active, "Well, our mission is to clean a demons' nest, isn't it?"
"Yes." the woman nodded, "Their nest is not far from here, so I think it's a time to discuss our tactic." Chikeko looked at Ren who was staring in the night sky, "Ren are you alright?"
"Ah? Yes, just became thoughtful." she responded.
"Well, I think you two want to display yourselves, that's why I'll give you an opportunity to fight those scums personally, and if something goes wrong I'll join the battle, do you agree with this plan?"
"Well, I don't mind at all, what about you Ren?" the boy asked his classmate.
"I agree with such plan too." Ren agreed too.
"Well, then let's go?" she said and jumped onto another roof, the students turned and quickly overtook their teacher.
"By the way, Pavel I would like to ask you something." Chikeko turned to the boy, having a slight blush on her cheeks.
"What is it sensei?" Pavel asked jumping to the other roof.
"You mentioned that you know Tereshkov-san well." the teacher muttered.
"Yes, and what?"
"Well, I don't you know what does he like?" the woman asked the boy with red cheeks, thanks to the night and their moving the Pavel and Ren couldn't see this.
"Did you like him sensei?" the boy asked straight.
"Well, kinda." the teacher said, "And you know him quite well, that's why I decided to ask you about it."
"Well, the most thing that he likes, is self-cooking food, he hates to eat half-finished product." boy responded to his teacher, "So if you cook something to him he will be very grateful to you."
"Really?" the woman remembered how she shared her lunch with him, 'Thank goodness I did the same.'
"But sensei." Pavel asked the woman, "Frankly speaking, what have you found in him? I know he is a good person, but he is a real nudnik."
"What do you mean?" Chikeko asked Pavel jumping from one roof to another.
"Well, how should it be said better?" Pavel pondered, "He is from those people who likes to see how other people do everything perfectly."
"I don't see it as a problem." Ren joined the conversation, "On the contrary, I think it's a good quality, Yatsu-sensei is has the same manner."
"Well, maybe you're right." Pavel answered to Ren, "Still people can be different inside and maybe he is absolutely different inside."
"I see." Chikeko said, but then snapped out all extra thoughts and said, "Here our target." and stopped, both of her teammates stopped too.
"What the?" Ren said looking at the roof of the building in front of them.
The team saw how a demon with a horse head and wings was fighting other demons. The demon took wing and attacked his foes from the air, mere demons tried to get him, but couldn't as the demon was pretty fast for them. The demon attacked his opponents from the air with wind abilities.
"Wait a minute." Pavel said narrowing his eyes, "It's the same demon how fought us during my firs mission here."
"What do you mean?" Chikeko asked the boy.
"He is with "The Third Law" sensei." the boy said turning his head to the teacher.
"With those criminals?" Chikeko reasked and the boy nodded.
"But why did he attack them?" Ren asked herself.
"He is alone so we could try to capture him." Chikeko pondered, "You're still students and I can't risk with your lives, so if you agree to fight him then we'll do it."
"We agree." Ren and Pavel said in unison, then they looked at each other and Ren quickly turned her head, when she saw Pavel's wide smile.
"Very well, the plan is next we'll attack him when there will be fewer demons, because right now, if we enter the battle we will help him a lot and he won't lose his energy." Ren and Pavel nodded and started to watch the battle of their primal enemy.
As Tardis took wing he flew directly to the building the planned to be assaulted. The demon could see six demons on the roof of the building; he was flying high in order not to be descried. Tardis landed behind straight behind the demon and with a strong kick he pushed off the demon from the roof. The demon fell down with a loud shout and other five demons quickly ran to his position.
"What the hell just happened?" the first demon was surprised with a shout and when they arrived they saw a demon who was entirely different form them, "Who the hell are you?" the first demon asked Tardis, but he didn't respond and dashed to the first demon and with the power of wind he chopped his head.
"Call for reinforcements!" the second demon shouted to the others. The demon who was near to the doorway that led inside of the building quickly ran to the door. Tardis could kill him easily, but didn't do it as this action could disturb their plan. It not so much time to deal with those four demons that left on the rooftop. After a minute or two more demons started to appear on the roof, they quickly started to surround Tardis, but it didn't feared him. 'You can go.' Tardis said in his mind and then hear a short respond, 'Roger.' The demons tried to pounce Tardis, but with one swing of his wind he flew into the air and landed behind the circle of demons. He did a strong swing with his wings and a strong puff of wind taking some of them a fall. The demons who kept the balance attacked him immideately. But then he jumped and using wind sliced another three demons.
"Damn he is too quick, if only he hadn't wings." one of demons said to another.
"Don't worry, the boss will come soon and we will rip him quickly."
'So, they still have some trump cards up in the sleeve, interesting' Tardis thought dodging the lunge of some demon. He fought them for several minutes more, when a massive werewolf appeared, by this time Tardis could kill some more demons.
"So, you're the one who got on our territory." the werewolf showed his teeth, but when he saw the one who caused the troubles he was slightly taken aback, "Interesting, never thought that someone of your kin leave the demon's world."
"Some of us go to the human's world sometimes; I wouldn't say that it's a peculiar event." Tardis responded to the werewolf, "The most impressive things to me, is seeing how a werewolf manages over orks, and how they tolerate it."
"They tolerate me because I'm stronger than they." the werewolf grinned, "However; I'm impressed that demon decided to attack other demons especially with such reckless method, are you here to dispose us?"
"I wouldn't say so." Tardis said calmly.
"Don't think that I didn't notice your little friends, who could sneak our base." the werewolf did a brief pause he wanted to see the Pegasus's reaction, but he was calm as he was before, so he continued, "I gave some arrangement, so I don't think that they will stand long."
"Don't underestimate them." Tardis didn't change his manner to speak calmly, "Because they could easily get your sharp tongue."
"You're too bold or too stupid to speak with me in such way." as the werewolf said it he dashed to Tardis at full speed, but Tardis merely swung with his wings and took wing into the air, the werewolf quickly jumped and was about to get the Pegasus, but Tardis did another swing and could repel his opponent. The werewolf landed onto the ground, and looked at his opponent. 'How I hate to fight such scums.' but then he saw how Tardis landed onto the ground too. "Hey you!" he turned to his subordinates, "Go inside and find his allies, I'll deal with him!"
The demons ran to the door way that led inside the building and a strong puff of wind swept off some of their feet. "I'm sorry, but I not going to let you go this place alive." the Pegasus said it and flew to the fallen demons. He fought them with grace, ordinary demons could do nothing to him, thus when they were about to attack him, he quickly hopped off into the air. He could kill some demons without problems, but the werewolf quickly got his plan and started to protect the remained part of his subordinates. It was hard to Tardis to fight all the demons at the same time, but still his wings simplified it. When there left three demons with a werewolf, Tardis saw a strange gleaming in front of him. He jumped away dodging the subject that pierced into the ground. Demons saw a spear and quickly turned their heads. They saw a woman with long white hair which was tied in a long tail, the woman was a bit slim, but slender her uniform was white and consisted from trousers that had opened places on her thighs and some sort of a shirt that closed her breast and a part of her stomach. She also had a tie on her neck, as she appeared on the roof two other persons appeared after a second it was well-built and tanned girl with blue hair, her uniform was the same colour as her hair, she was holding a short blade in her arm. The other person was a boy with dark hair, he had black uniform and in his hands was prepared two handed sword.
"Don't mind if we join the fun?" Chikeko asked the demons.
"Damn, hunters are here too." the werewolf roared, preparing himself for a fight with the newcomers.
"Hm, long time no see, boy." Tardis said looking at Pavel.
"Yeah it was quite long." Pavel admitted, "And where is you savage friend?" he asked the demon remembering the demon who reminded a dinosaur.
"I am afraid that this time I'm working without him." Tardis said with a slight smile.
The werewolf decided not to lose the precious time and attacked Chikeko, as she was without her weapon, the musician teacher wasn't at a loss and jumped over the above the demon and quickly returned her spear. And when the demon did another lunge she quickly blocked it with the hilt of the sear.
"Ren, Pavel! I'll deal with them, fight the winged one!" and she started to fight with a bunch of demons. Ren and Pavel turned to Tardis with their weapons in readiness.
"If you want to help her you can go and do it, I won't interfere in your battle." Tardis said with the same calm voice.
"Do you really think that we believe you?" Pavel asked a dead ender.
Tardis answered nothing, he only did a swing with his wings soared in the sky, the students raised their head and saw that their enemy did nothing but was flittering peacefully.
"Damn, he did a wise thing." Pavel noticed, "Ren the best thing to us is to help to sensei."
"Have you believed him?" Ren was surprised with his notion.
"I don't think that he is all alone here. That's why he have no intentions to attack us he gains the energy in order to fight us after we deal with these demons."
"So you want to say, that he decided to rest for a while?"
"Well I just think so." Pavel responded.
"Fine, then let's deal with these demons first." and then both of them ran to aid to their teacher.
'What the… The damn kids are joining the battle?' the werewolf saw how Ren and Pavel joined the battle, 'So this bastard won't fight them, right now. Smart move.' he thought raising his head and watching at Tardis.
"I told you to fight the winged one. Why don't you do this?" Chikeko asked them.
"Because he won't attack us sensei." Pavel answered, "He preferred to rest while we fight those creatures."
"I see." Chikeko sighed.
"Hey hunters." the werewolf grinned, "Don't want to combine our power?" the trio cocked their ears, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend, isn't it?"
"Why do you think that we will help you?" Chikeko asked the demon.
"Because he isn't alone here." the demon continued, "There were two another intruders."
'So Pavel was right.' Ren looked at Pavel, 'He is pretty smart.'
"You could help us to fight them. And in exchange we will let you have them all, if you want."
Ren heard the offer of the werewolf and shouted, "Do you really think that we believe you?", but then she saw that Chikeko pondered about something, "Sensei, don't tell me that you're going to help them, they will attack us as soon as we deal with him."
"I know this, but with his help we will have an additional opportunity to fight that demon." Chikeko answered to Ren, 'Let's play this game.' She thought with a smile, "We agree, to cooperate with."
"Nice." the demon showed his teeth and ran to the huntress, "Spear." he merely said, and jumped. Chikeko raised her hands with the spear and squatted, and when the demon touched her spear with his paw she abruptly got up letting the werewolf to jump higher than ordinary.
'Smart move.' Tardis saw how the demon tried to get him but he merely circled the demon and with a strong swing created a strong puff that made the demon to fall straight onto the roof; however the demon landed without serious wounds onto it. "It seems I must start to fight seriously from this moment." Tardis said landing onto the roof.
"So, you want to tell that you have been succumbing fighting us." the werewolf didn't believe to the Pegasus.
"Now you will see what I can really do." Tardis said and with one swing quickly appeared in front of the werewolf and with one kick pushed back the demon.
'Wow he is fast.' Pavel thought and tried to attack him from the air but Tardis merely dodge his attack.
'Well it'll be a bit difficult.' Tardis thought and saw how Ren and Chikeko tried to attack him together, he created a strong puff of wind pushing back two huntresses and behind them the werewolf jumped out attacking the Pegasus. He tried to take wing again, but Pavel could strike him with his leg straight at the back, between his wings. Tardis fell onto the ground and rolled for a bit. 'Archon.' He said in his mind, 'If it's possible I'd like to have some help on the roof, hunters have arrived.'
'Hunters?' he heard Archon's voice in his head, 'I can do this right now. I have some business with demons too.'
'I see.' Tardis said and got up.
"Let's do it quickly." Chikeko said and split her spear on two parts she took the part that had blade on behind her back and brought the second part to her lips, like a flute and started to move with her fingers, her eyes were directed at Tardis, she watched at him not even blinking. Suddenly there started to appear more copies of his enemies.
"Now attack him!" Ren shouted to Pavel and the werewolf, the copies of Ren started to attack Tardis, he could dodge some attacks, however he missed some too. He saw many copies of his enemies in front of him, after a second the copies of werewolf and Pavel entered the battle. He also saw that there appeared several copies of Chikeko who also played on flute.
'Understood, using her flute she influences on my brain with its sound, not a bad skill, but let's see how it will work now.' He got into the air again and after a second the wind on the roof became stronger it wasn't strong enough to make his enemies to fall down, but still it was strong enough for blocking all sounds. The copies quickly disappeared and now he saw four of his opponents again. He quickly flew to the musician teacher and Chikeko took away the flute and tried to dodge his lunge, but Tardis was pretty was because of the wind and could get his enemy at her shoulder. Chikeko fell down onto the ground, the demon wanted to finish her, but couldn't as her students were in time to protect her.
"He increased the power of wind to refract my sound." she said getting up, "Didn't know he can do this."
The werewolf tried again to pounce onto the Pegasus and Ren tried to help him, but with a swing of his arms he could pushed his enemies away with a strong puff of wind.
'What was this?' Pavel thought noticing a strange gleaming. He turned his head to Ren's side he didn't know what to think, he ran to his classmate at full speed, when she got up on her knees Pavel didn't let her to get up completely as he pushed her with his body, they rolled for several centimeters.
"What the hell you're doing?!" Ren shouted at Pavel, looking in his eyes surprised lying under him.
"Just in time." Pavel sighed with a relief and looked at the place where she was a while ago. Ren looked at the same place too and they could see a strange person with white armor and two swords, which were pierced at the place where the tanned Taimanin was standing.
Ren just gulped understanding that if not the Russian boy she could say goodbye to her life. Pavel got up and helped to do the same to Ren, "His reinforcement?" Ren asked Pavel.
"Honestly, I don't know." Pavel said, looking at the white warrior.
The white warrior took out his swords from the ground and turned his head to the werewolf and then to the Pegasus. 'So it was the one who attacked those bases.' the werewolf thought. The warrior said nothing and rushed to the demon who worked with humans. The warrior was fast and strong, the demon wasn't able to keep up with the warrior as he was tired, the demon tried his best to protect himself, suddenly the demon found an opportunity to counterattack, but the warrior suddenly disappeared with a bright spark, and suddenly two blades pierced his back exposing them out of his chest.
"Bastard!" the demon groaned, then spitted with his blood, he tried to grab the warrior for his helmet, but could as the newcomer quickly took out his swords making the demon fall onto the ground, breathlessly. Chikeko with one jump reached Ren and Pavel, and then asked the Russian boy.
"Pavel, is he a member of this organization?"
"I'm sorry, but I don't know." Pavel answered the same what he answered to Ren a little time ago.
The person raised his head and saw at Tardis and then at the hunters. It seemed like he was choosing whom to fight first. Then he suddenly disappeared again, and appeared behind the Pegasus, Tardis reacted quickly and blocked the swords of the warrior, but missed the next lunge that was made with his leg. And after this he appeared behind Chikeko and tried to slice her with his swords, but she blocked his attack with her spear. Pavel and Ren tried to get him, but their attacks were fruitless as he pushed the teacher and blocked their attack. The person started to sparkle all of a sudden and then a strong lighting discharge pushed back all of them.
"Man, it was really unexpected." Pavel said rubbing his head.
"Pavel, behind you!" Ren shouted to him the boy turned and saw the warrior who was holding his hands on readiness to kill the boy, but for some reasons he was continuing to hold his swords in the same position like he was thinking about, but when he decided to pierce the boy with his swords three rays of light appeared of nowhere and hit the target.
"It's the second time I save you, isn't it?" Pavel heard a soft voice he raised his head and saw a person with dark blue hair that were tied in a braid, also holding two guns in the arms.
"Yes, it seems I'm in your debt twice." Pavel said with a smile taking his sword.
'A reinforcement?' Chikeko thought looking at the newcomer, and then she saw another person who was a woman with red hair and a spear in her arms. If the first person that was seemed a flat girl was wearing an ordinary uniform as they were wearing, the woman who had a spear in her hands had absolutely different uniform, she was wearing boots gloves and somewhat of a tunic that covered her body as a massive coat. Her hair was tied in a long ponytail.
"Ilya, if I remember it right I didn't allow you to go far from me, did I?" the woman asked Ilya with a serious voice.
"I'm sorry captain, but if I wouldn't do it, he could lose his life." Ilya pointed at Pavel.
The woman turned her head and frowned, "Pavel it's you again."
"Maria Sergeievna, you're just in time." Pavel was glad to see a familiar face.
"What is happening here?" Maria asked Pavel with a serious voice.
"Well we are fighting two enemies here." Pavel started to explain what was happening, "One of them is this knight." Pavel pointed at the person with two swords, who has already got up and looked at the new comers, "And the second one is the demon we fought last time." He raised his head and saw that Tardis have already been in the air.
"I see." she merely replied. Ren and Chikeko were surprised that Pavel knew these ones. Chikeko even admitted that she must be the same Maria Sergeievna he was talking about in the principal's office. "Let's split up then." Maria suddenly said, "Me and Ilya will take the winged one and you'll fight that knight." she looked at Pavel's comrades, those nodded to her and started to fight the knight.
"Nice to meet you again, beautiful ladies." Tardis said landing onto the roof, "Long time no see."
"Yes, but this time will be last for you." Maria said preparing her spear, she was about to attack him, but his next words have ambushed her.
"Aren't you Archon's little sister?" he saw that her eyes became frowned, it seems he found a way to how to make her more predictable, "If you want you can go and look for him, he must be somewhere in this building."
"Why must I believe to you?" Ilya asked the winged demon, Ilya didn't believe to his words, but the boy that looked like a girl noticed that his teacher became concerned.
"I'm a demon, but I'm not a liar." Tardis said, "They could prove it to you." he nodded at the side of fighting hunters.
Maria didn't know what to do; she lowered her spear and pondered, "Captain, have you believed him?" She didn't want to believe the demon, but the desire to capture her brother was strong, then she said unexpectedly said, "Ilya help them I'll go and find him." And then she ran to the passageway that led to the building.
"Wait, are you serious…?" the boy couldn't finish as he was interrupted, by the knight's attack. He retreated to the hunters, who were fighting him.
"Where is Maria Sergeievna?" Pavel asked Ilya.
"She went to fight Archon." Ilya merely answered, "What is she sane? She won't beat him alone?"
"I know, but I can't leave you, because you'll need my skill when this one will join the battle." Ilya didn't forget about the Pegasus.
"I'll go to help her!" Chikeko exclaimed.
"Sensei?" Ren was surprised.
"My skills are useless against him and this girl will be able to help you with distanced attacks." Chikeko concluded.
"I see" Ren whispered and agreed. And after this the teacher ran by the same way as Maria ran not long ago.
"Well let's defeat them quickly and join them." Ilya said with a smile, shooting at the knight.
"Yes." Ren and Pavel thought and ran to fight their opponent in white armor.
