Chapter 11

Edwards POV August

My eyes shot open as my body jerked awake from a fucking intense dream. I was covered in sweat, my hair all matted up and wet even the pillow was completely soaked where I had been laying.

I had the most terrible nightmare. My beautiful Bella was gone, she went missing and no one could find her. Even her dad came into town trying to find anything. But there was nothing she disappear out of thin air. Masen was so upset and clinging onto me, not letting anyone touch him. But out of fucking no where, James shows up stating that now Bella was gone he was taking Masen with him since he was his next of kin. Masen was crying telling James he was not leaving his Daddy.

But something changed. The air turned cold making the hair on the back of my neck raise. It felt like the world was falling apart at my feet and there was nothing I could do. Masen's face scrunched into his mad face pushing away from me, yelling that it was my fault his mama was gone. James took Oliver away and I feel to my knees crying out for Bella.

I sit up some but stop short when the hand on my chest pulled me closer. A smile pulled at my lips as I remember last night and how utterly amazing it was. Bella opened herself to me. Allowed me in that heart she kept so heavily guarded. Bella is my past, present, future and everything in between. Hopefully one day she will be my wife and maybe the mother to my children. She's my other half, my missing piece.

I felt like I have known her all my life. When in reality it's only been 2 months. Looking down at her wrapped around me, I knew that I would never leave her. She is just so right, so beautiful laying right here beside me. She's completely perfect and all mine.

She knocked down so many walls last night. So many. I was actually a little concerned that she was going to wake up and be upset, I didn't want her regretting anything we do together.

This weekend was Masey birthday! And I was so excited to be apart of his birthday celebration this year. With the help of Bella I found him the coolest gifts, and probably spent wayyy to much. But hey, he's my girlfriend's son and this his first birthday that I was here for. The first of many and I wanted to spoil him a bit, make the kid feel loved.

I had stayed my first weekend with Bella and Masen, after they had dinner with my family and I haven't ever stopped. Every Friday morning I will put my overnight bag into my car and head to work. Once I was officially out of work, I would shoot a text to Bella and then go and grab Masen from daycare.

Bella has been working later on Fridays as it was the closing of the week and she had to prepare her lessons for the new week, so I moved my schedule around and told Bella, I could pick Masen up for her on Fridays.

I loved getting to have a few hours with just me and him. It gave us our time to just hang out and have some fun.

He has yet to call me daddy again, and I'm ok with that. It warms my heart that he was comfortable enough with me that he would call me that in his sleep, at his most relaxed state. Till that day comes again, I am more then happy to be his Eddie. I will only ever be his Eddie. Masen is the only person I am more then ok with calling me Eddie.

This Friday looked a little different. Esme and Carlisle asked if Masen could stay the night with them so they would take him out for his birthday, then they would have him back by Saturday night, for his party on Sunday. Mase was so excited, but Bella was a little apprehensive about it.

She said that Masen had never stay the night with anyone other then Charlie and he even had a hard time with that and called Bella hundred times. I think Bella didn't want Masen to hurt my parents feelings, but they were used to this stuff.

I was the kid that would beg to go stay the night at my friends houses, but I could never make it past two am. Though there was that one time I stay half past three and I see that as an accomplishment. I would call Esme crying stating I was scared and wanted to be at home with her. My sweet mom would always come and get me no matter what. She would pick me up and let me sleep in bed with them, telling me how she could never sleep good without me and Alice home at night.

"Masen, don't forget to brush your teeth before you go to bed, and don't give Nana and Grampy a hard time, they are nice enough to let you stay" Bella told him. We were at my parents house dropping Masen off, so we could have dinner in Seattle before headed back to my Condo. This was the first time, Bella was gonna see my place. We wanted to give Alice and Jasper the house for the night, because they have done that for us so many times, and it's only fair.

"I know Mama, me is a good boy, right Eddie?" His big brown eyes met mine and I smiled, kneeling down beside Bella and ruffed his hair. "Of course you are Buddy! Mommy is just reminding you, to be the good boy we all know and love" Masen looked at Bella and gave her a hug and kiss, whispered something in her ear. Bella smiled and kissed him, keeping their conversation a secret between the two of them.

"Can I get in on some of that love, big man?" Mase jumped into my arms effectively knocking me on my butt and probably wrinkled my dress slacks, but I didn't care, these were the best hugs and Bella told me that he won't always want to give us these good hugs and to soak them up. "I love and miss you Eddie" Gosh, this kid just pulls on ever heart string I've got.

"I will love and miss you too, Masen. You have the best birthday sleepover ever and we will see you tomorrow night" He sighed, tucking his face into my neck as he tried to keep from crying, I'm sure. "If you get nervous and don't want to sleep, then have Nana call me or mom and we will be right there. Otay" Masen nodded against my neck.

"Esme, he's never stayed the night with anyone other then my dad and he only stayed because he convinced my dad to sleep in their room." My mom smiled at Bella. "That's fine honey. If you are comfortable with that, then we are too. Edward and Alice co-slept till they were in preschool. I just couldn't say no. It's actually a blessing we even have Alice" Ewwwwwww. Gag me.

"That is really gross mom" Bella snickered, at me and my dad, as both of our faces and ears turned red. "Sorry Boy. But it's the truth" Mom shrugged, winking at my cheeky girlfriend.

"Ok baby, give me one last cuddle before we go" Bella leaned down once more and got another hug and kiss from her son. "You are going to have so much fun Masey. Nana is cooking your favorite meals and she even said that if you get scared you can sleep in their bedroom! Nana Esme has my phone number, so call me if you get scared"

We finally some how pulled Bella and Masen away from each other. Bella was honestly worse then Masen and I kept on looking over to check on her as we drove to the restaurant.

"Princess? You okay" She gave me a smile and squeeze my hand is. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just hard to leave Masen. I have a hard time just leaving him to go to work, but then I know I will see him in a few hours and work to keep me distracted. But now.." She trailed off and I knew what she meant.

"I know, baby. I am sorry, you know that you can always tell my parents no" Bella shook her head quickly. Looking slightly panicked "No! I trust them completely and I want this for them, plus that's not fair to Masen. I just worry, that's what we mom do best"

"Well, I guess I just need to find a way to distract you" I smirked at her, making that blush I loved so much show up. "I am sure, we can find a few things to do. This is the first time we will ever have a night all alone" Oh shit, I didn't think about that. Was Bella ready for that part of our relationship? Was I ready for that? I gulped and prayed she didn't hear.

"I am sure we will, Love" The rest of the drive was quiet. Not an awkward silence, just peaceful, enjoying each others touch and present. I've never been with a person that I could enjoy even that quiet moments with. I just loved her so much. I've never loved someone like this.

I've had a few girlfriends of course. But a few years after college I ended things with my girlfriend of three years. It was sorta a relationship of convenience. Her parents were pushing her to get a boyfriend, that she seemed lonely, and my parents were doing the same things. Her name was Bree Tanner and we had met at the university and became friends since we were in the same class.

We both complained to each other about our families, and decided that we should just get together, we already had the same schedule, so it worked out swimmingly. We were the plus ones for each other at weddings, or family gatherings ext. I am embarrassed to admit that we did hooked up a few times over the years, but we were especially dating.

Once we graduated, we parted ways, Bree went to a law firm in New York, while I stayed here in Washington. It was a clean break. We definitely didn't love each other, sure we cared for one another, but that's about it. She's actually engaged to some guy, according to her Facebook page. I am glad we both found our happy endings.

"I hope you will like this place. Alice recommended it" Bella loved Italian food and has been saying how much she's craving mushrooms raviolis, Alice said this place had them, and she was sure they would be good. The reviews were awesome.

"I am sure it will be great. The first fancy restaurant I went to was with you and it was fabulous, so I can't see why this place wouldn't be just as good" She better get used to these "fancy" restaurants. Nothing but the best for my Princess.

I closed her door and grabbed her hand, leading her into the restaurant. We got seated in the back corner nice, quiet and private. I order us both a glass of Bella's favorite wine and some spinach dip to munch on while we wait for our main dish.

"Thank you for this Edward. I am glad that we could spend time together" I grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her to me, giving her a soft kiss. "It is my pleasure Bella. I love you so much" She blushed of course, looking up at me though he lashes. "I love you too, sweetheart"

We eat our weight in delicious food and split a huge piece of strawberry cheesecake. I love that Bella was not one of those girls who wouldn't eat a full meal on a date, she doesn't just order salads or a small dish that wouldn't even fill up Masen. I've seen this woman put down more food then me! She can be a bottom less pit, and I fucking loved it!

"Masen did the cutest thing the other day!" Bella said. The restaurant was probably going to close soon, but we were still sitting here talking. "Really? What was that" I downed the last bit of my wine, giving Bella my full attention.

"I was dropping him off at daycare and I was telling him, how his uncle, my big brother was going to get married and he said, that all the girls were nasty and had germs, that he only wanted to marry his "Mama" just like Eddie. It was just so sweet!" I blushed, wondering if it was my mom who was putting these ideas in his head.

"That boy, I am not going to lie, I am a bit worried that it's Esme that's putting these thoughts into his head. She love's weddings" Bella laughed, shaking her head. "You are probably right, Edward. Es is a match maker at heart. Can't blame her though. My head goes there every once in awhile" Hmmm. My litttle Bella thinks about getting married. More importantly us getting married.

"I do too, Bella. Sometimes I really wish I would have visited Alice in college and not just waited for her to come to me. If I would have...Well things might look different for us right now" I said with a shrug. I wasn't sure if I would have been able to walk away from her if I met her back then.

"Well, if you would have met me then, you probably wouldn't have even noticed me. I was a new mom, struggling with school, a job and a newborn all by myself. Masen also only ever wanted to nurse from my right boob, so the entire first seven months, I had lopsided boobs and it was crazy looking. Plus I was completely exhausted and when I wasn't studying or with my baby, I was asleep"

Seeing as we had already paid the check, I helped her up, grasping her hand in mind, pulling her to my car. I pushed her up against the side of the Volvo. "Yeah he was, but he was crushed that it was actually in my house" I think Masen still likes to tell his friends that I've got an elevator in my apartment, but hey I would have done the same thing, I'm sure that's real cool for a little man.

Bella did the exact same thing that Mase did when he first saw my condo, was run over to the floor to ceiling windows, looking at the city below. She was so beautiful standing there in the moonlight, she was wearing such a sexy dress tonight. The line went quite for awhile, before my moms voice was back in my ear.

"Edward honey. It's mom."

"Hey thanks for call me. I'm going to get Bella up and we will be there soon. "

"Okay hon. Be safe and get here in one piece."

"He is. They both are. I'm a blessed man. See you in a bit. "

I ended the call just staring at the phone in my hand. I finished pulling on some pants and went to wake up Bella. She was still all naked and I was trying to figure out, if I wanted to wake up or not. Since she would probably be mad if I didn't. I gently started shaking her shoulders.

"Edward where are you going." I smiled she was just to beautiful. I kissed her nose pulling her up and handing her some comfy clothes. "Esme just called and Masen is crying for me and wants me to come get him."

She smiled and shook her head. Pulling the shirt over her head. "I knew he wouldn't last the whole night. Hang on I'm gonna go with you let me get dressed" I nodded, feeling a rush of sadness when she put the shirt over her beautiful body. Bye boobies, till we met again.

We got dressed and headed to my moms house they lived about 15minutes away and I got there in 10 minutes since there was barely any people driving at this hour.

we got out of the car and went to the front door and just as I opened it Masen jumped into my arms and buried his head into my neck I held him close, feeling his tears soaking though my thin sleep shirt. "Shhh buddy it's ok I'm here now." Bella watched with a big smile on her face and turned to Esme grabbing his bag.

"I'm so sorry Esme. I had a feeling he wouldn't last the whole night without us." Esme waved her hand smiling at me and Oliver. "Don't worry about it! I just feel so bad. He was fine all night. I made up the guest room and planned on staying with him till he feel asleep but he just started crying saying that he wanted to be in bed with his Mama and Eddie." Bella signed rubbing his back.

"No worries he always ends up in bed with us at some point in the night. He's the same way with my dad sometimes. Masen never really stays away from me" Mom gave her a knowing smile. After we talked for a little bit we left as it was already so late, and we had a busy day tomorrow.

When we got back to the condo, Bella and Masen and I all got into my bed and Masen snuggled in close to me, his little hand had a tight grip on my shirt. "You wanna talk about what made you upset bud?" His brown eyes were full of tears when he looked up at me. "Please don't ever leave me again daddy. I miss yous" He whispered the word I wanted to hear so badly Like he didn't want us to hear him. But we did. Bella gasped her hand grabbing mine.

Masen pushed his face against my neck so I rubbed his back trying to bring him some comfort. "I would never ever leave you Masen. You're my whole world little man" I could feel his smile against my neck before his breathing evened out and he fell asleep his tight grip on my shirt losing up. My eyes watered as I looked at Bella's smiling face.

She cupped my cheeks and gave me a big kiss. "I love you Edward" she whispered her lips brushing against mine with each word. I wanted to wrap my arms around her so I just pulled her closer so her chest was pushed against Masen's back. "I love you too. So fucking much." We just looked at each other with big goofy smiles giving each other small kisses till we fell asleep joining Masen in his dream land.

I stretched my arms out while yawning and with my eyes closed I reached out for Bella but came up with cold empty sheets. Opening my eyes and sitting up I looked to the bathroom and saw it empty before I heard Masen and Bella talking and listening to music. I laid back down just listen to them for a bit before getting up and going though my morning ritual. Once I felt human I walked down the hall to find my people.

Bella was standing next to Masen with her hair pulled into a high ponytail and she was handing Masen measuring cups to dump into the bowl in front of him. He had flower on his nose and cheeks as did Bella. Their laughter filled the small kitchen as they work together. My condo had never felt more like a home. They looked so damn right standing in my kitchen.

"I feel like I missing out" I said with a pout walking into the kitchen. Bella's eyes met mine giving me a smile before they trailed down my body with a wicked look in her eye. "We'll come help Eddie" I smiled at him trying not to feel disappointed when he called me Eddie. "I would be happy to little man" I told his ruffling his brown hair. Bella shot me a sad look before shaking it off and focusing on Masen.

I've never done this before and neither has Bella. We weren't sure on whether or not we should encourage him to call me daddy or if we should just drop it. I feel like we need to just go at Masen's pace and see what he decided to do. We have forever to figure this out.

Bella and Mase made some delicious homemade pancakes, I didn't even know I had the stuff in this house for pancakes. "Baby, where did you get the stuff for breakfast?" Bella blushed and Masen giggled. "We took the Volvo and went to the small market over here. I hope that's ok" I nodded stuffing another bite in my mouth. "Of course! What's mine is yours Bella"

"Oh my goodness!" Masen shouted, standing in his seat. "Me and nana was gonna go shopping today" his small face got so sad. I'm sure My mom would still take him shopping. "Masen honey. Nana is gonna be here in a few hours and is going to take you out to lunch wherever you want to go and then you get to go shopping!"

"Oh yeah! I forgets" We laughed at him, and he turned into his mother as his face went red. He is the cutest kid ever. I've never liked kids but I loved this kid.

(Masen POV

I covered my cheeks with my hands and looked at my Mama. "Don't laugh" Mommy pulled me in her lap and kissed me. She always makes me better. Daddy stopped laughing, and he was just watching us with that face he always makes. Nana said it's love. But it's different then the love I have for my mommy whatever that means.

"Eddie is you gonna go with me and Nana?" I hated calling him Eddie. He's my daddy and I want to call him my daddy, but what if I get in trouble? Mommy may not want me to call Eddie my daddy.

Ryan's gots a daddy and he said that his daddy doesn't play with him like my Eddie does. Ryan's daddy is boring. But Ryan gets to call him daddy! I want Eddie to be my daddy. Maybe i should ask Santa for Eddie to be my daddy. Or!! My birthday wish!! Mommy said you can't tell anyone your wish otherwise it would not come true.

"I wish I could, Masen. But I've gotta stay here with Mommy and help her get ready for your big party on Sunday" Mommy said I was gonna have the biggest, coolest party ever! Even better then Ryan's birthday and he had doggies at his birthday! "That's Otay Eddie. I brings you something back" I didn't want hims to be sad.

"Thanks Maser. I'll look forward to it. Do you have any ideas on what your gonna get for you?" Daddy asked me. Mama took our plates to the sink and started washing them. I wanna help her with that. Ohh look she made bubbles. "Masen?" Daddy called me again, I looked over at him, laughing. "Sorry. I wanna get nerf gun! Uncle Emmy said he was gonna gets me one, but he's not here" I missed Emmy, he was so funny. I wanna go see him. I need to ask mama or maybe Papa.

"I am sure he's gonna come see you soon. And he will get that nerf gun to you Masen. Don't worry" I gave Eddie my best smile giving him a big hug. "Thanks Eddie. Love you" Daddy kissed the top of my head and pulled me closer. "I love you too Maser. So much"

We spent the rest of the morning playing and we watched a movie, till Mama said it was time to go get ready. I wanted Daddy to help me, but Mama said he had to get some work done. "Don't be sad baby. Eddie can't always help you with stuff. Mommy is here too" She was probably right, but I was still sad. I wanted daddy not mom. But I didn't want to make hers sad.

"Otay mama." I gave Mommy a big hug and let her get me dressed. Sunday I was gonna be a big boy! Three whole years old,I bet that's even bigger then Emmy. Sunday I would blow out my candles and I would get my wish! I would make sure of it.

That's it folks. I honestly loved this chapter. Little Masen is so cute, I wanna just squeeze him. And we love a good Daddyward moment.

This was gonna be Masen's birthday chapter, but I kinda forgot and I just loved the way this chapter came out, anyway.
