Chapter 3
After the lessons Pavel decided to head to the club, where Aki, Tatsurou and Rinko should be, he was delayed, because of planning the lesson with Maria.
'Man didn't think that Maria Sergeievna will make me her assistant.' Pavel stretched his spine of long sitting, 'Well the best thing is that I don't need to study anything after all.' He chuckled to himself, 'The next lesson she decided to devote to mental empowering, it'll be really interesting, and didn't think that she will also Ren make the second assistant.' Pavel was glad that he will have now another opportunity to hang out with Ren, 'Finally she start to act less aggressively to us, I thought she still will be so.' he did a turn, 'Everything goes much better than I thought.'
He was thinking too deeply and didn't notice how he bumped into something.
"Oh sorry, my mistake didn't pay attention." Pavel apologized, but the person he bumped into surprised him.
"No need to apologize, it was my fault too." he heard Masami's voice.
"Oh Masami well… um…" he stumbled not knowing how to continue the talk, he didn't want to disturb her anymore from the last accident.
"Um, are you free right now?" she suddenly asked him, not knowing how to start the talk better, she decided to ask him directly.
"Not much." Pavel replied to her still not understanding what was happening, "Just headed to the club, but if there's something serious I won't go there."
Masami stumbled for a second, but the replied, "No, club is important, don't miss it." she wanted to go further, but unexpectedly Pavel grabbed her hand.
"Wait, I…" he stopped for a second, "I didn't want to make you angry that day, I just went to the area I'm not allowed to enter, I even tried to get you talking with these lessons, not understanding you won't like this, and still continued to push on you, I'm terribly sorry for what happened and…" he was suddenly interrupted.
"It's not your fault; you only tried to help me." Masami said, "How you think was better for me trying not to disturb me much. You was the only one who thought something like that." she turned to him, "And I appreciate it." She smiled to him.
Pavel was astonished of this smile, 'Wow, so cute.' the thought came to his mind, he saw how she wanted to move further pulling his hand, so he said to her, "If you want to talk, I won't go to the club today." his voice was firm and sure, he saw how she wanted to say something, so he didn't give her such opportunity, "I remembered that Tatsurou wanted to do something with Oleg Semenovich, and Aki as I remember wasn't going to stay in club for long and without them it'll be boring there."
"I see." Masami nodded, "Then let's go to the rooftop." she offered to him and they headed there.
When they were on the rooftop, Pavel took a deep breath and stretched his arms doing some exercises, like he wanted to warm up or something, Masami sat onto the bench that was by the lattice which closed the roof on it edge, Pavel did the same but didn't try to stat the talk, he didn't want to insist, letting the girl start to talk when she finds a fine moment.
"Did you see the photo in the book?" she suddenly asked her first question.
"What…? The photo?" he reasked her, but still decided to tell the truth, "Yes, I saw it, sorry if I did this, I really shouldn't do this." he apologized in advance.
"I see." Masami sighed.
"Can I ask you a question?" Masami nodded, "Were they your best friends?"
"Yes" she squeezed her fists, but still tried to stay calm, "And now they all are dead."
Pavel didn't know how to continue the talk, but still decided to ask further, "What happened to them?" his voice was lowered; he knew that there was something like that.
"Several months before we all were on a mission." she started, "We were supposed to clean some place form demons, but… Everything went not as planned. We were ambushed."
"Wrong info from the headquarters?" Pavel asked her, she nodded.
"There were much more of them than planned, and all my comrades were killed." she took out a book out of her bag and then a photo out of book, "Except me and him." she pointed at the boy who was standing by her and was holding her for her waist, "We were captured by one dangerous person, whose name is Oboro, she tortured me and him, trying to break our minds." tears started to form in her eyes, and she lowered her head in order to not to let Pavel to see them, "We were tortured for about two months, and somehow tried to hold ourselves, but when the help came, she… killed him." she gritted threw her teeth, "I just can remember the blood of my friends, which is on my hands."
"That's why you're afraid of blood?" Pavel asked her.
"Yes, when I see it, I remember the blood of my friends and how I failed them. If I were a little stronger maybe I could save them." her voice started to tremble.
The next what happened made her stumbled and puzzled, as she didn't expect it. Pavel hugged her, and started to pet her head gently and softly.
"It's not your fault." he said to her, "How could you know that there will be a numerical superiority? If you want to blame someone, then blame your heads."
"But…" she sobbed, "But… I was… a leader… I supposed to…"
"You tried your best doing everything what you could, we are not almighty, and always can fail." Pavel said, "I've never been in such situations, and I won't understand you, but I know, that there was no your mistake."
Masami started to cry. Pavel decided not to speak for this period, and give her an opportunity to cry out, he only petted her saying that everything will be fine, still hugging her.
'Finally she spoke up.' Pavel thought watching at her, 'Now, she must feel herself better.' Pavel didn't moved his eyes from her, 'Can't bear how beautiful girls cry, smiling would fit her much better.'
Little by little she started to calm down, and Pavel felt it. When Masami stopped, she removed her head and whispered.
"Sorry for beating you, I shouldn't do it to someone, who tried to help me."
"Don't worry, I've earned it, after all I was entering your life without your permission, and you were right, being an outlander to you, I shouldn't do that."
"You only tried to help." Masami replied to him, "And I behaved myself aggressively." she raised her head to him, and added, "Thank you for listening out, I really feel myself better."
"I have one question." Pavel asked her.
"What is it?" the girl with curly brownish hair, asked him, wiping her eyes.
"What about others' blood? For example you see it from other people do you feel the same?"
"Yes, that's why I don't try to watch at trainings of other hunters." she answered the question, "I visit trainings only with class itself."
"Then it can be a psychiatric problem and if it's that problem then…" Pavel pondered, and Masami was watching at him with interest and puzzlement.
'He is an interesting boy.' she thought.
"Of course!" he suddenly shouted making her to flinch, "Masami, faster, go with me!" he grabbed her hand and both of them ran somewhere the boy only knew.
"Where we are running?!" she asked her, still not understanding what was going on.
"I'll explain you later! Just trust me!" Pavel replied to her making her only worried and excited more.
They were running by the corridors until they heard some voice.
"As I remember you're not allowed to run by the corridors here too." it was a firm female's voice.
Pavel and Masami turned around and saw their new teacher, Maria Vlasova.
"Thank goodness you're still here!" Pavel said gasping, he released Masami and came to the woman and after a exhaling he continued, "Maria Sergeievna there's something I want to discuss with you!"
"And what is it?" the woman asked him narrowing her eyes.
"Can we do it in your classroom or in the place where not so much people?" Pavel said his eyes were telling that he didn't plan to let the woman go easily.
"Can't it wait till tomorrow?" Maria asked him.
"No, I have to talk with you now!" Pavel was firm.
"Follow me." she said to him, and they went to the classroom, which now belonged to Maria.
When they came there, Maria took purchase onto her working table, while Pavel and stood in front of her and Masami was standing by the door way not understanding what was going on.
"Maria Sergeievna, do you remember this girl?" Pavel asked her.
"Masami, am I right?" Maria watched at Masami who only nodded, their talk was in Russian, so the girl understood nothing of their talk, "What's with her?"
"Well, how to say it better?" Pavel pondered, "Do you remember I asked you to be easier with her?" Maria nodded, "It's because there's something about her. Well, she has a mental trauma which bothers her a lot."
Maria stretched her hand making him stop to talk, and turned to Masami.
"What trauma do you have?"
"I'm scared of blood." she only replied uncertainly.
"Was there a reason why you're scared of it?" Maria asked her again in the same peaceful and calm manner.
The girl stumbled, she didn't know answer or not this question, she wasn't sure in it. From the first point of view she saw this woman for the first time, the other reason was that she didn't know what this woman wanted to do, and especially what both of them planned. Masami didn't say a word for several minutes, so Maria took the word first.
"Can I at least watch it?"
"Watch?" the girl was wondered what was the woman was going to watch.
"With my abilities I can read not only thoughts, but to see your memories, I ask you, because I don't do it without people's permission." the girl looked at the boy indecisively, not knowing what to do.
"Don't worry, Maria Sergeievna knows what do to, you'll feel nothing." he took her hand, and added, "I'm with you." he smiled to her warmly.
"I'm ready." Masami said to her and stretched her arm to the woman.
"Remember what to do." Maria was glad that she wasn't to give instructions.
Maria took her free hand and closed her eyes. They were standing in the same position for several minutes.
'Interesting, will she be able to help Masami?' Pavel thought, 'After all fear of blood is a mental problem and mental users could deal with it. But… What if she is unable to help her?'
Maria was standing in such position for some period of time, her face wasn't changing, while Masami was standing and thinking what was going on. Her head dizzied a little, but still she could keep standing.
Finally Maria released her hand and said, "I've got the picture." she rubbed her nasal bridge, and continued, "I understand what consume you, your fear of blood is the result of what happened to you."
"Can you solve it?" Masami asked her with the same voice that she used to talk.
"Right now not." Maria replied, "But still I will be able to do it."
"What do you mean?" Pavel asked one of his favorite mentors.
"I hope I shouldn't remind you what should be done before treating and how I'm going to treat her?" Maria asked Pavel.
"Wait, do you want to say that, she must prepare herself for the treating?" Pavel asked her.
"Yes, and in what way she must prepare?" next question was asked by Maria.
"What way, what why…?" Pavel repeated, but then snapped with his fingers, "In mental and physical ways!" he exclaimed.
"Good, nice to see that you remember the material." Maria slightly smiled, "Now, my time to explain." she turned to Masami, "First I want to ask you, do you practice fighting with your weapon?"
"Rarely…" she mumbled, "Only during practical lessons, and almost always alone, I try not to fight other students."
"Bad, you must start to practice with it again, I didn't explain it during the lesson, because we wouldn't pass this material soon, but for you I'll do an exception." Masami looked surprised at Maria, but said nothing, "You must practice it, because during the treatment, I'll enter your mind, and along with we are to destroy the source of you fear."
"I… I don't understand." Masami replied to her, "What do you mean enter my mind?"
"Using my abilities, I'll try to find the source of your fear and then you're to defeat it, and then little by little you'll come back to normal." Maria tried to explain, but still not well.
"By the way…" Pavel interrupted his teacher, "How she must prepare herself mentally?"
"Meditating." the teacher answered, "There's nothing else what I can offer. So, are you ready to start your treatment? If you agree there won't be the way to turn back."
Masami was standing and watching onto the floor, she didn't know what to answer from one side she wanted to be fine again, but from the other side she was scared.
"Can you really make me normal again?" she asked her like she didn't belive to her words.
"If I start to do something, I'll do it till the end. Your problem is that you pushed this problem deep inside of yourself, and now there's only the way to do it from inside."
"But what if something goes wrong?" Masami still wasn't sure, "I don't know that I…" she wanted to say something else, but she felt how a hand laid onto her shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'll be by your side too." Pavel tried to encourage his classmate, "If something goes wrong, I'll help to prevent it, and at the same time, Maria Sergeievna will do everything perfectly, so you won't feel anything." he chuckled.
Masami was astonished, 'Why someone, whose see me for just few months wants to help that much? Even these teachers? Why do they try their best to help me? Just for a short period of time they could do what other could do in months…" Maria turned to Maria, her face was firm and decisive, "I'll do my best! Take care of me!"
"That's the spirit." Maria was glad with the answer, and put her hand onto her head and petted it, "Pavel will help you in preparing, I'll also talk with Oleg Semenovich so he will think something too."
"Yes, he must join too, or else he will going around doing nothing." Pavel chuckled, and got a slight a cuff on the nape from Maria.
"Fine, I must go other teachers are waiting for me, good luck to you two."
Then they went to the corridor and Maria left them alone, hurrying a little.
"See, told that she will find a way to help." Pavel was watching at Maria's back, "She can seem scaring and fearsome, but deep inside she is really a good person, who tries to help to her students with everything she got, interesting, maybe it's because of her, I'm always trying to help to others?"
"Thank you." he heard Masami's voice that became indecisive again, "I… I'll try my best not to disappoint you all! But… I don't know how to start, these trainings, what should I do?"
"Don't worry, we'll help you with them." Pavel smiled to her calming her down, "I think for today is late to start with combat practice, so you're to meditate at home, that your home task." Pavel said like a real teacher, and tomorrow will start with combat practice; during the big break will you be able to come?"
"I will come." Masami nodded, "And… Again, sorry for hitting you."
"You still remember that?" Pavel laughed, "Just forget about it, and as I noticed." he started to speak lower, "Smiling suits you much better than that always sad mien, you look really cute."
"Thanks." Masami's face started to become red little by little, "I'll try to smile."
Then they said goodbye to each other and wet on their own sides.
After Mosquito's attack in some café.
"Now tell us about that flying lunatic." Murasaki rather ordered than said to Mechanic, sitting at the long table which was in the far corner of some café.
"Hey courteously, after all we saved your asses!" Massimo said to the immortal Taimanin.
"Like we asked you to do that." Murasaki responded.
"Massimo calm down you wanted to drink something so go to the barman and drink." Paul pointed at the counter with alcohol, "I'll tell everything what they need to know about him."
"Fine, but don't spat something they don't need to know." the massive man turned around and went to the place he wanted to visit from the beginning.
"Well, now we can start." Mechanic said, "First I must say about the aim of our mission, we are to find some weapon that supposed to be a danger to all hunters all over the world." Murasaki frowned from such news, "We know that it must be somewhere here, but we don't know where exactly to look for it, we also know that the man who was saved by us must know something about this special battle suit."
"We have the same task." Murasaki said, "We also know nothing about it and don't even know where to start, Sasaki Tekumi was the only person who we know is somehow involved in it."
"And that new freak is he from 'The Third Law' or what?" Shizuru asked him too.
"No, he is just a vigilante who tries to steal new inventions and sell them to others for a very high price, I've met him in Croatia two years ago, he wanted to steal some information which was about new powerful computers. We were hired to protect the factory, but the he could steel it and sell." he deeply sighed, "We needed about three months in order to find this data and prevent it further spreading."
"So he is a real professional." Shizuru concluded, "And how did he get this information too?"
"I think I shouldn't explain how the mercenaries' structures work." Mechanic chuckled at her question.
Then a waiter came to them and took their orders, Murasaki, Shizuru and Paul took coffee, while Kangaroo decided to take some lemonade, as he didn't like the black drink, which was bitter.
"You said that this Mosquito is a pain in the ass what did you mean by that?" Shizuru asked him.
"When we met the last time he could destroy my arm, which I was making for a long time, he put his left hand onto the right one, "If not the help of the rest, I wouldn't be able to get out of there alive."
"And the other two where did he get these ones?" Murasaki asked again, "As I understand they are cyborgs."
"These models are new to me, I know nothing about them, but the most interesting thing about them, is that they have an ability to think as an ordinary human.
"Yes, I noticed it too." Kangaroo added, "It was flying not just an ordinary robot, but like someone, who knows how to do it better and tried to find perfect moments to attack."
"Wow, so little and so smart!" Shizuru said with an astonished voice, however it was possible to hear some notes of provoking in it, "If you were one of us, you'd have a shiny future."
"I have already gotten the offer to join you." Kangaroo did a sip of his lemonade and looked at Murasaki, "But I don't plan to leave my comrades, they're like a family to me."
"How sweet." Shizuru chuckled, "You're so cute when you're saying something like that." she started to pout at his cheeks.
"What we should await from that flying lunatic?" Murasaki asked her main interlocutor.
"Everything." He only sighed and did a sip of his coffee too, "His problem is that he can do absolutely everything, he is really good in traps so you must be careful."
"By the way." Kangaroo joined the talk, "If that man escaped, and that guy flew away, what we are going to do?"
"Difficult question." Paul pondered too, "The only thing we can do is patrolling in order to find something what will allow us to find this battle suit or that lunatic, if he attacked that Sasaki that means he really knows something important."
'I think we can not only patrolling.' Murasaki chuckled in her head, "By the way, have you found something about 'The Third Law'?" Murasaki decided to ask another question.
"No, right now, we have no information about them." Paul confessed.
"Speaking of them." Shizuru joined, "I wanted to know about that French scientist and the Polish doctor, do you know something about them?"
"Depends on what you want to know." Kangaroo replied instead of Mechanic.
"Well maybe some personal information about them, or something like that." she asked the boy.
"I know only that he preparing some important experiments, which will be really dangerous." the boy replied.
"Some dangerous experiments?" Paul and Murasaki asked him in one time.
"Since, I'm a devoted member I know pretty much than you do." the boy was happy that there was something the other didn't know.
"What an important boy." Shizuru pinched his cheek.
"Release!" the boy ordered to Kousaka, and the blonde girl, patted his head, "His experiment was about to create some dangerous creatures or something like that."
"Out of mere human?" Murasaki reasked, but then responded like something revealed to her, "So that's why they're capturing those innocents in Sapporo, it seems that Naomi wanted to give them all to these bastards."
"It seems so." Mechanic nodded, "If you're so smart, kid. What can bind 'The Third Law' with 'Black wing'?"
"I don't know." the boy shrugged with his shoulders, "Maybe something really important and significance if two criminal organizations work together, maybe someone of them pays to another one for cooperation, I don't know. And the Polish is dangerous too, his mental abilities are really scaring." the boy drank his lemonade again, "Once he got me and I was lying in bed for a whole day."
"You told you also felt his power." Shizuru asked her partner.
"Yes and it wasn't a good experience." Murasaki replied, "I and Ikenami, were fighting him, and he gave us a sense of tiredness, the most interesting this was that he could capture us or to kill, but he didn't do this,
"They follow orders very well." Paul replied this time, "If they're not ordered to kill someone, who can be killed or captured, they won't do this with such order."
"Strange people." the blonde was slightly surprised, "Entirely different from NOMAD or others."
"But know they will try to capture us." Murasaki stated, "After all we are a big obstacle for them, and I don't think they are going to tolerate us."
They continued to drink coffee and then said goodbye to each other and went to their routs further. Deciding to work on their own for now.
Asagi was sitting in her office working over some documents. She was watching them fast, taking one then putting it, and taking another sheet. A cup of coffee was standing by her.
"One member and about three papers per one." she rubbed her nasal bridge, "I didn't know that they were opposing to that 'Third Law', for this long period of time. And except the ones we have already encountered, they have much more members." she sighed putting the paper, which was devoted to Torch, and pondered, "Interesting how this Walter is connected with them? There's no information about him, neither these demons Sakura and Chikeko reported, and these seals." Asagi looked at another paper, "What are they for and what their destruction will give them?" she quickly glanced the paper through and continued here thinking, "Even if got some answers, only more questions appeared. And these demon lords…" she did a sip of her coffee, she put the seals onto the desk, "Ten of them, all of the third line are dead, the destiny of the three of the second line is unknown, but now the one of them appeared, and he calls himself a second lord. There are more questions where are the other two demon lords and what happened to the first demon lord? And what binds them with the modern rulers of the Dark World? It seems that Walter knows Black, but what connection is between them?" suddenly her ponders were interrupted by a knock at the door, "Come in." Asagi said, and she saw Nobushige, who entered her office with a serious face.
"Examining the information about our new enemies?" he asked her.
"Yes, just decided to start to do it." Asagi said, "How is the excursion is going are they glad to see our village?"
"Yes, they are." Yamamoto answered, "But I'm here not, because of them." he sat onto the chair, which was next to her working place and put some papers which were in his hand.
"What is it?" she asked him, here face became frown, as she didn't understand what was going to happen.
"It's information about our old familiar Yazaki Muneichi." the old man merely answered.
Asagi took the papers and started to examine it fast, moving with her eyes, "But how this information was given to you? We haven't sent anyone to watch after him and…" she suddenly stopped, "It's so well described that we can arrest him right now."
"Here's the problem we couldn't take it, because we didn't do this, and this information was given to us along with the body of Nakamura."
"What do you mean?" Asagi put the papers onto the desk.
"She was killed." Nobushige answered.
"What?!" Asagi exclaimed, "But… how? Who did this?"
"The problem is that I wasn't reported about it. Her body guard was killed too." Nobushige said, "I have three ponders about it. First one is that she was killed by Yazaki himself, but the problem is that he wouldn't leave these documents with her, or he just want to make us feel that someone wants to frame him. The second one is that someone of decided to deal with her, but still there's a question, who could do this." he stopped and then sighed, "And the third one…"
"Our new criminals?" Asagi finished his thought, the old man nodded, "But what will they get from that? As I know they have no one in the government, so they have no opportunity in her killing if only…" she stopped.
"If only they want to disturb our attention." Nobushige finished her thought this time.
"But if they decided to do this, they want to do something really dangerous if they kill politicians." she started to clang with her fingers by the table.
"I made inquiries to Eugene and he said that killing politicians is their main business, I think someone could hire them for this work, but who?"
"But what will be earned from Nakamura's death? She was just a leader of party nothing magnificent, if only someone from her party, but…"
"We must check this theory first, if the ones who killed Nakamura are these criminals we must deal with them fast."
"Easy to say than to do." Asagi replied, "The man I was fighting, Mystic, was really strong, I think he is as strong as I am." then she thought, 'I won't tell him about Walter right now.'
"As I remember, there was a group of mercenaries in Sapporo who helped our Taimanin, what was their name?"
"'Red Division'." Asagi merely replied, "I've encountered them only once several years before, and I must say they're really temerarious people, they won't stop until their mission is done."
"I remember this case, but what they're doing here and could they be the ones, who also could kill Nakamura?"
"Difficult question." Asagi mumbled, "They could kill her just because of someone's order. But the thing which doesn't give me calmness is that we have already met them twice, and both cases were around 'The Third Law', likewise they knew where to find us."
"If they would work with each other, they could take down our people in Sapporo, but not to help us." Nobushige said becoming frown, "If they helped us twice against them, that means that they have some counts with them, there's no doubt in it."
"Why do you think so?" Asagi asked him.
"I know the work of mercenaries, if one hunts another, then there's something they want to deal with." he explained, "One more question, what about that weapon we are to find, any results." it seemed that he wanted to change the theme of their talk.
"No, they still are looking for it." Asagi said, and then added, "Interesting, what these seal they're looking for will do?" she returned the talk to the troublesome criminals.
"This question I ask to myself too. Even our Russian colleagues don't know about this." Nobushige replied, "But now we can't allow them to destroy the other four, somehow we must find them first." Suddenly the phone of the old man rang, he took it out and watched in it, "I must go Asagi, please deal with the case with Nakamura, I think there's something really important."
When he was leaving the office, Nobushige almost bumped at Chikeko, the teacher of music greeted the man and let him passes, being in the doorway she asked.
"Aren't you busy Igawa-sensei?"
"Come in." Asagi said to her, and then asked, "Have something happened?"
"No, nothing to worry about." Chikeko sat onto the sofa, which was by the wall, "What brought Nobushige-san? Have something happened?"
"Yes." Asagi sighed deeply massaging her nasal bridge with eyes, "Nakamura-san was assassinated."
"What?!" Chikeko, exclaimed, "But… how? When?"
"Not long ago, along with her bodyguard, the problem is that we don't know who killed her." Asagi decided not to tell the details to Chikeko, as she didn't know everything herself, so she didn't want to give uncertain information to her subordinate, "We have some thoughts that it could do our criminals or someone other, but the question is that we don't know who."
"I see." Hirata became thoughtful, "It won't be a surprise if that 'Law' attacked her."
"I think so too, but still we have no evidence about it." Asagi calmed down, but then decided to ask the teacher of music, "By the way Chikeko, what have brought you here? You're a rare guest in my office."
"Oh, yes!" the woman became livened, "I wanted to ask you to give me some mission, along with Yukikaze and Tatsurou."
"Why such a company?" Asagi asked her narrowing her eyes.
"They came to me today and wanted to deal with some demons, Yukikaze doesn't want to sit doing nothing, so she decided to ask me."
"Why you? Usually I hear that from Sakura." Asagi narrowed her eyes.
"I was astonished too." Chikeko said, "Maybe Tatsurou said something about me and they decided to work with me this time?"
"Strange." Asagi pondered, "They even didn't come to me with this question, but expanding the outlook is a good thing, finally they started to think about it."
"Yes with Tatsurou our Yukikaze will never be lost." Chikeko chuckled, "Just some work with killing demons will be good for us." she said.
Asagi took some papers and started to look through them.
"Well, I have some mission on cleaning the area in Tokyo Kingdom from one demon gang, but I'll advice to you to take someone else with you."
"And whom?" Chikeko asked the woman, trying to predict what she had in mind.
Asagi didn't answer, but only was watching in papers, her head was cracking form the information she received, Nakamura's death, seals, demon lords form some fairytale, 'The Third Law', and other small missions which were on her table, everything mixed, and her head started to ache, she put the lists onto her table and only said.
"I'll give you such opportunity." Asagi smiled.
"Well, I'll take Pavel then." Chikeko replied after a little pondering, "I've heard he join kendo club, I'd like to see his potential in fight with Tatsurou."
"I see, this mission is not urgent, so you won't to take it whenever you want it."
"How about tomorrow's night?" Chikeko said, "I think faster we start it, faster we'll finish it."
"I don't mind." Asagi said.
"By the way, you have to take a little break." Chikeko watched at Asagi, and saw that the woman had some problems, "This work will drive you crazy." Asagi wanted to say something, "How about to go with us to bar? We are going to celebrate the transferring of the new teacher, are you in?"
'I'd like too, but I have to work with these documents first." Asagi smiled sadly, "And the case with Nakamura must be solved urgently, as the killing of a politician is not just an ordinary occasion."
"You never spare yourself." Chikeko sighed, "If you think then come, we'll wait you." Chikeko smiled to her and left Asagi along with her papers.
"Phew, it seems I have started to understand the work of the seals." Tatsurou fell down onto the floor, trying to catch his breath, "But still can't understand how to increase their power."
"It's a difficult thing for you right now." Oleg said watching at the circle the boy draw several seconds ago, "It's a big progress that you started to understand their work, increasing of their power comes gradually."
"But I still don't understand one thing." Tatsurou looked at his mentor, "How to use them in battle one on one? I want have much time to draw it."
"I thought I've already explained it." Oleg looked at him, "The best thing is to draw it on your palm before the mission or the fight, then take some of your or demonic blood and pressed it, the effect will be the same, but not so powerful as the drawn seal on some surface."
"I see." Tatsurou replied.
They were behind the building of the academy, in a thicket of trees, right now there were no one, and it was a perfect place for secret trainings of the Japanese student and the Russian teacher. Tatsurou lied onto the grass, cold air was blowing, but still it seemed didn't bother him much. The boy was in his battle uniform, whilst the teacher was in his casual attire. The lessons had already finished, and lots of students were in their clubs, home or other places where they could hang out. Oleg was watching at his apprentice with slight amazement.
'In such brief period of time to understand the work of the seals, he is really an amazing kid.' he came to the boy and said, onto the ground by him, "I just can stop to surprise." he said rather to himself than to the boy.
"To what?" Tatsurou turned his head to the teacher.
"How you assimilate the information." Oleg chuckled, "Especially you, during the battle you even could draw the seal and use it, and the puff you created, wasn't weak."
"How do you think, have I became stronger?" the boy asked him indecisively, he even presses his knees against his chest, "I… I really don't know."
"Well, we know each other not for long, and I not the best person to answer this question." Oleg said, he saw how the boy became disappointed, as his answer wasn't answered, Oleg chuckled and the added, "However, if I compare our first training, you've become a bit stronger."
"I must become much stronger, in order to save aunty." Tatsurou said.
"Do you mean Mizuki Shiranui?" Oleg didn't got what aunty the boy was talking about, he saw how the boy nodded, so he continued, "I think everything will be fine, you'll go with professional hunters, so there's no need to worry about it at all."
"I still can't forget the words of that man, did he really encountered my mother or was he just lying?"
Suddenly Tatsurou felt a hand onto his shoulder, "Don't think about that, right now you're to save Yukikaze's mother, the question about your mother will be solved later. I think if that man really met her, I think he would behave himself in a different way."
"What do you mean?"
"He would start to provoke you or something like that; I think he just decided to destabilize you in order to make you unable to fight."
"Do you really think so?" Tatsurou looked at him hoping to hear an answer.
"I think so." Oleg nodded, and looked at his clocks, "Well, let's end our training for today, I still have some business to do." Oleg got up and wiped his pants, "Your homework will remembering the seals."
"Got it." the boy nodded and then went to change back into his school uniform, while Oleg decided to go to the gates of the academy.
Oleg was standing for quite a long time until he saw a woman with red hair who was walking to the gate in a pretty quick pace.
"Have you been waiting for me long?" Maria asked Oleg as she reached him.
"No, I just came." Oleg lied, "But I'm surprised that I still wait for you, have something happened?"
"Pavel happened." Maria replied, fixing her hand bag on her shoulder and then walked by the road with the man.
"What that yobbo did?" Oleg asked her, "Have something happened on the lesson?"
"No, he gave some work in my first day here." she replied, "Brought a girl to me and asked to help her."
"Girl?" Oleg started to understand what had happened..
"Masami Andou." Maria answered.
"So he could persuade her, not bad, not bad." Oleg seemed happy of something.
"What are you talking about?" his countrywoman was wandered, what the man was talking about.
"Well, this girl has mental problems." Oleg started to explain, but was interrupted, by his childhood friend.
"Scare of blood, which was because of the death of her friends." Maria did a quick explanation, "I did a brief mind reading and saw a little of her past." she did a pause, "But why we must help her? Should teachers and other students to help her? Since when we're helping them?"
"They tried, but she is very stubborn, and didn't except the help from other people, so there's no wonder, why she couldn't overwhelm that sense of blame."
"I see. And the one who decided to help was Pavel am I right?" Maria asked him.
"Yes, but I quickly agreed to help her." Oleg replied, "I knew that there should be done a mental interference, and wait for you."
"Never liked how he tries to help to all people around him, one day he will have problems because of it." Maria sighed deeply.
"Hm, weren't we are the ones who taught him that?" Oleg chuckled watching at Maria, "After all he always tried to hang around us. How Ilya feeling himself in the new place? That's the person who can give some troubles." Oleg remembered about the boy who looked like a girl.
"Put on a female's uniform, and even had caused some troubles to other pupils." Maria said irritated.
"And what did he cause?"
"Went to female's dressing room."
"Little pervert." Oleg said, "I'll scold him later.
"I hope you'll do this." but then Maria changed the theme of their talk, "Did Eugene say you when they're going to leave?"
"I think in near time, after all his is a minister and can't overstay in one place for a long time." Oleg said, but then heard a voice behind them.
"Hey, Oleg, Maria!" they turned their heads and saw Chikeko in a company of some man, it the teacher of PE lessons, Takeuti Hizemo.
"Ow, didn't know that you'll catch us up." Oleg was surprised to see their colleagues, "I thought we will meet in the restaurant."
"We thought so too." the other male teacher said to him, "But unexpectedly saw you ahead and decided to join you."
"I see, after all it'll be good for Maria to know you better." Oleg looked at his Russian colleague and smile, Maria answered nothing.
Chikeko had a happy expression on her face; likewise she had something important to tell. Takeuti on the contrary was pretty calm, however he tried to talk with Maria asking her some questions and answering hers. Maria was pretty cold and didn't give much opportunity to the PE teacher to ask more private questions. Oleg was walking calm too, and was trying to help Hizemo to speak the cold woman.
Takeuti tried to know a something about Maria, like favorite hobbies, food, what books she read, what films she watched and etc. Maria answered these questions, and asked them in exchange, but it was possible to see that the woman did that only as a sign of courtesy, however little by little Maria started to answer his questions.
Maria decided to have a little talk when Takeuti started to enlarge his talk with Maria.
"Everything is fine." Chikeko winked to Oleg.
"What is fine?" Oleg didn't get what the woman was talking about.
"We have a mission. Asagi had lots of paper work so she didn't ask me about it too much; we are to clean some demon gang, so I think it'll be a perfect opportunity for them to leave." Hirata was speaking not loudly, as she didn't want be heard by Takeuti.
"Not bad." Oleg was amused of her work, "You never waste time. I'll do now whatever you want." he put his hand onto her head and started to pat it.
Chikeko became red, "How about to go on a date then? Just the two of us?" she asked him with a worried voice.
"I don't mind." Oleg smiled, "After if it's with you I won't be worried too much."
"Deal then." Chikeko grabbed his hand and started to walk with him like a couple.
Maria turned her head to them and saw that picture, Maria responded nothing, but somehow, she felt uneasy herself, she turned her head away and returned her thoughts to Takeuti.
"Man, why the hell I should do this." a tired male voice asked himself, "I hate being sent from one mission to another one. When I started to get information about that damn 'Law', I was sent to look for the information about the wife of that diehard!" the man was standing on the edge of some building, he lowered his head and a saw a little stone, he grabbed it, and started to throw it up and then catch it, "Why the hell it must be me, could that one eye bastard to send his friend Splash to investigate it?" he threw away the stone.
The man put his hand under his greatcoat and took out a flask out of it, he opened it and did three little sips out of it, and then he closed it and returned it onto its place.
"Never understood, that one eyed bastard, the things were much better, when the old man was in charge of the organization, but now, everything became urgent, fast and unclear." he sighed deeply and then returned to his ponders, "Well, where I was? Yes, I must visit that informer, maybe he knows something. How Doppel was telling, if you don't know something, just ask."
He jumped onto another roof and started to jump from one to another one and continued his ponders, "Man, if she agreed on my help that mess wouldn't happen." the continued his loud ponders, "And that Cyclopes, better went and help her personally then to send me there, but still…" he suddenly stopped, "It was really a good time, as a woman she is really beautiful." he chuckled, and fixed his service cap.
He continued his way, until he found some eatery The eatery was in the middle of a pretty big street, and was quite fancy and modern, he straighten out his the collar of his greatcoat which was unbuttoned and then entered it. The place was also cosy from inside. The man glanced it and noticed the bar counter he decided to go to it straight, the people were looking at him with slight puzzlement. While all people were dressed pretty casual and elegant, the man that had just entered the eater was dressed like a military officer. His greatcoat, service cap, pants and even tarpaulin boots. His greatcoat was belted on his belt, and it was possible to see a green skirt under it.
When the man came to the counter, he saw a barman who was standing at it and was pouring some different liquids to the customers; the barman was a peculiar man with straw hair. He was wearing an ordinary white shirt, black pants, and black vest above the skirt. The most interesting thing in him were his ears which were much longer then of the ordinary human, the man had a cute smile, and was talking to some lady. When the man sat onto the free place, he suddenly exclaimed.
"Hello from Semberia!"
The elf turned around and said goodbye to the woman and said his partner to take the work.
"Long time no see, Drunkard, what have you brought here." the elf took purchase onto the counter and started to wait the answer.
"Like always, missions and only missions." the man sighed, putting his hands onto the counter, "As usually doing one mission and then being urgently sent to another one."
"Is everything that bad in your division? I've heard it's became much popular than before."
"What gossips are wandering about us?" the Drunkard asked raising his head.
"Lots of different, like in Sapporo you dealt with 'Black Wing', another one was about some mission when you encountered with 'The Third Law', and etc."
"Wow, the gossips are really flying fast." the man wasn't surprised, "Give me like always."
"Knowing you I'd advise you not to mix alcohol, it's not good for health you know." the elf said and went to bottles.
"I never become drunk so don't teach me, you're the last one I want to hear that about."
"As you wish." the elf took a bottle of whisky from the self and took a glass, poured the liquid into it and then gave to the man, "So, what have you brought here."
"I want to get some information." the man started, "I'm looking for a person, the name is Mizuki Shiranui."
"Wow, I didn't hear the name of the Phantom Taimanin for a pretty long time." the barman was excited of that name, "And why are you looking for her? Have she done a bad turn somehow to you?"
"No, we are looking for her, because our Commander sent us to bring to her daughter." the man prepared to do a sip of his drink.
"Do you need some snack?" the elf asked again.
"If you have something, I won't deny." Drunkard replied.
The barman quickly took a lemon and sliced it for several pieces; the man did a single sip and drained the glass, and then ate a piece of the sliced lemon.
"So he wants you to return her back home, doesn't he?" the man nodded, "I'm afraid, right now he is a personal slave of Ryuji Kuroi, the Incubus King, and on her own she won't follow you."
"I see." the man saw how the elf poured another glass, and stretched it to him again; "I thought that she was captured, but it was a question for me. Do you know where to find her?"
"And this question is more difficult. The first place is Under Eden."
"And other less reckless places?" the man didn't like the answer.
"Well, as I heard strong criminal groups started to join little to themselves." the elf looked a the beautiful lady and winked her, "NOMAD, Incubus faction, and even you friends started to do this."
"What do you mean?" Drunkard asked the elf.
"Recently a group of Alid joined 'The Third Law', and his one is pretty fearful I must say." the elf saw how the man drank dried another glass and started to pour another one again into the same glass, "Something is going to happen and I don't like that."
"Do you have information about small groups, which are loyal to Kuroi? I think we are to start from them."
"Do you think you'll be able to meet her there?" the elf chuckled.
"You never know though." the man chuckled, and took the glass again and started to watch at it, 'How peculiar.' he smiled to himself, "So, will I hear the places?"
"Well, give me a second." the elf answered an left.
The man was sitting at the counter alone and was watching at the people who were talking to each other, he laid onto the counter and started to sleep, but then was returned with the voice of the elvish barman.
"Here." he put a paper onto the counter and added, "Hey, are you alright? Do you need to have a sleep?"
"No." the man got up and looked at the paper, "Where are the locations of that Incubus?"
"They're distinguished with the red circles." the elf started pointing at the circles on the map of Tokyo Kingdom, "On you place I'd try to check this two areas, they're not so protected as the rest."
The circles were seven and all of them were far from the center. The elf explained the details and the human was listening to him, however his thoughts were devoted to something else, however the man understood completely what the elf was talking about.
"I see." the man said getting up also taking the glass he poured the liquid into his mouth and ate another piece of the lemon, "I think we'll start with that one." the man pointed at the circle which was closer to the water.
"Not a bad idea." the elf was glad that the man was listening to him.
The man put some banknotes and said, "Thanks for the info, I'll go for now."
"If something is needed come back any time." the elf said with a chuckled.
The man left the eatery and quickly jumped onto some building which was nearby, he came to its edge and took a deep breath.
"Man I really should drink that much." the man said in no time did a quick turn and took out his weapons and crossed with someone's katana, "Finally showed yourself."
"What?! But you're supposed to be drunk!" the person in the mask was surprised a lot.
"Like always my instincts didn't fail." the man pushed the attacker away and stood in a battle stance. It was possible to see two sickles in his hands, which were sharp as a saw inside.
"I've underestimated you." the person in ninja attire said unnerved and did another lunge.
The man quickly parried it and did his lunge this time, the attacker could dodge it, and with a swing of the katana, sent a wind blade at Drunkard.
'Wind abilities.' the man in the greatcoat thought, 'It'll be really interesting.' the man did a jump and ran to the person again.
The fight started again. The fighters were equal to each other, but still Drunkard was faster and used this advantage perfectly. The person with katana used the wind tried to get him, but still all the attempts were useless.
'Members of 'Red Division' are really tough.' the attacker thought, 'I must retreat and report everything!'
The assassin tried to escape, he jumped onto the nearby roof, but the man didn't desire to lose his opponents and did the same. Suddenly the man through something at the attacker and the person legs were unable to move.
"What the hell is that?!" the attacker exclaimed, seeing how his legs were covered with some mud.
"That kid is really awesome, his clay is really helpful." the man chuckled to himself, and slowly came to the attacker.
The man put his hands onto the surface of the roof and then stone started to cover legs of the strange attacker, and after legs the arms were covered too.
"Shit, I was too reckless!" the person, mumbled trying to break free, but his attempts were vain.
"Glad that you've admitted it." Drunkard chuckled at took out a flask out of his greatcoat opened it and did a sip of it, "Now we can have a little conversation."
"The hell I should tell you something?" the person chuckled.
"Because if you do I'll free you and even let you go." the man with the service cap said to his captivity.
"Old trick, do you think I'll sell on it?"
"Let me guess, you're working for Ryuji Kuroi or for 'The Third Law', am I right?" the member of division asked his captivity.
"Guess."
"Well, I don't think you're working for these bastards as you're pretty weak, even Torch would give me some troubles. At the same time 'The Law', never works alone, but in groups of two, so the outcome is predictable you're from Incubus." the man said with a cunning smile.
'That alcoholic doesn't seem stupid.' the person thought, 'Is he really drunk?'
"So, another question, do you know where to find Mizuki Shiranui?" Drunkard asked again.
"Go to hell." the person smirked.
"You won't belive, but approximately I was there, so your blusters won't scare me."
The man came closer to the person, and started to examine him with his hands.
"Take your hands off of me!" the attacker yelled.
The member of 'Red Division' replied nothing, and continued to seek for something. Suddenly his hands stopped on one of the pockets, the man took out something of it and saw a paper. He spread the paper and glanced through it fast.
"So, you were just supposed to investigate the eatery in order to find an informer of Taimanin." the man sighed and started to rip the paper, "I thought you're a big fish, but you're nothing but a pathetic flunky." the man did a pause and sighed, "The only thing I say you is that eatery is not Taimanin's place of information, but ours of 'Red Division'." he chuckled, "And since you know that your fate is obvious."
The person wanted to say something, but could, as the throat was cut with a blade of sickle. The enemy started to became weaker and weaker, and then the body bowed. If the arms and legs weren't grabbed by stone, the body would fall. The man put his hands again and the stone disappeared, returning back into the roof.
"And now the clay." he put his hand onto the clay that still covered the legs of the corpse.
The mud started to move and quickly crawled in his hands and then he removed them under the greatcoat, and in other second his hand was clean.
"Well, what shall I do now?" the man looked at the evening sky, "The best thing was to go to the location, but without a help I won't dare to go there. Take them or not?" he asked himself, "If only Splash wouldn't do something stupid." the man deep a deep breath and the added, "Well the mission seems to be funny, where it'll bring me." he chuckled and continued his way.
