The day has come. Today Lilim and I face Mizuki Shiranui and-

Many would find it reasonable as a way to perish or be submitted, but considering I was as small as I was and Shiranui's boobs as big as they were, I kind of didn't want to go to heaven through bosom-led asphyxiation. So, where I expected to find a rather vicious and ruthless Taimanin veteran to greet us and 'test' us so that she could determine if we could be trusted, we were instead greeted by a ninja MILF that was clearly trying to play the 'lone mother in needs of cheap babysitter labor'. Which proved to be us to some extent.
Hell, while I was getting 'devoured' by her boobs, Lilim decided to play with little Yukikaze, leaving me to suffer through the whole ordeal on my own. Still, peace didn't take too long to come as Shiranui's mirth was shortlived due to the circumstance that saw us invited to her place.
"So, you are a little boy that has a 'Magical Girl' sister and acting to protect her so that she is safe and sound," Shiranui hummed, summarizing my current position. "And you are a little Demon Princess that is on the run because people want to take your position as heiress to-"
"The King of Succubi and Incubi, Kamadeva."
"That's a big position so... why would you father let you run away? Does he care for you?" Shiranui inquired, mostly worried about the implications of 'assisting' the daughter of a Demon King.
"It's... Dad told me that if he was to provide me with any of his close retainers, it would make it public that I am his successor. Since he has many other children, many would want to hurt or kill me because of the position I hold," Lilim started to explain shyly. "So, he left me in the care of people that were close to mom but..."
"Something happened," I guessed, seeing her nod as she had been close to pause at this.
"T-Things got a bit scary, but now I am here and- then I found Shingo-kun!" The Succubus Princess hugged my left arm-
"Oniichan!" Yukikaze squeezed tightly at my right arm.
Shiranui beamed at the cute sight for a brief moment, and then returned to her normal self.
"So, would it be fair to say you don't have any particular plot against the city of Tokyo, humans or, in the specific, the Taimanin?"
"No," Lilim assured. "Well, at the moment. What if I get attacked first, can I plot something?"
"It would be a reasonable stance," Shiranui confirmed with a motherly tone, making Lilim smile. "You did good."
The little Succubus' smile widening at that compliment, but Shiranui wasn't done just yet as she turned to look at me. The woman regaled me with a thoughtful look and-
"I wish to spar with you. No weapons, no 'protections'. I want to see your current level."
I would have wanted to say no because I really didn't want to get hurt- and yes, I was more worried of me getting obliterated, but...

I kind of wanted the extra EXP. The room that was chosen had been aptly prepared for the occasion. The large rectangular room had a warm reinforced tatami and... nothing else. It was a no-distractions room so I could see the point of not putting much more in there.
We took to our respective positions and, with Lilim (and Yuki-chan) acting as the referee, the match started. I want to say I held my ground for beyond twenty minutes, but then I would be lying to myself, the world, and the reality of the situation.
Shiranui was the bright example of why Demons just don't attack Taimanin without having an overwhemingly strong advantage over them. Having served the corps for years and having trained from a young age, this woman was legitimately on a whole other level. Even though she was more of a Lance-specialist, that didn't mean she had neglected disarmed combat.
I tried my hardest, changing styles and mixing those, but I was reminded of one thing- I was training in standard combat styles within the known human world, while Shiranui had shaped hers by mixing her frame's outrageous flexibility and the balance of her Water-Type Taima power. She was driven like a furious river, and I was the lone man standing before it, soon to be swept away by it.
I didn't pass out, but boy did my HP go dangerously low against the woman. To be fair, the experience was 'enlightening', mostly on the beneficial effects of Sparring as I could soon attest through the EXP points I got.

MP? I guess Magic is now on the table. But how did it work exactly? I couldn't exactly check on it as I found myself stuck with the role of Referee with Yukikaze as Shiranui decided to 'Spar' with Lilim. And it was there that things were clear on how 'Magic' worked.
Lilim wasn't meant to hurl punches, but she was expected to attack with the magical power at her disposal as Shiranui's reasoning made a lot of sense: due to her parentage, it was clear that Lilim was meant to wield a lot of magic and, from the spells she conjured, that was somewhat the case.
Despite not knowing anything that could really stand out, Lilim's magical attacks were ruled out by the Taimanin as 'Rudimentally Simple, but Abnormally Powerful compared to how those should form'. When I asked how she could tell that it was 'too much', the response surprised me.
"It's not unusual to end up facing a terrified demon that overcharge their attacks. This here is similar, but instead of being driven by fright, it's driven by a genuine abundance of magical energy within her."
The spar lasted less time and it was onesided for Lilim's sake. Shiranui used her Taima particles to create a water shield that no spells from Lilim could breach. They dented the barrier, but the strength of it kept on regenerating fast through Shiranui's Mastery.
It came to a surprise that, despite still being full of energy, Lilim looked as drained as she was. Shiranui ruled it as 'inexperience and lack of control' causing her body to 'release more than she was experienced with'. By the time we were all done, Shiranui gave us 'passing grades'.
"I expected much less from both of you, but I am glad to say you have a degree of discipline," The woman remarked with a wide smile. "Alas, while this will prevent issues with Gosha Village, I have to ask you both to keep coming once every week so I can gauge your level of control."
I frowned. "Training?"
"Yes, Hell- I mean, Training~."
She is really good at appearing to be a nightmare instructor.
Still, the day was mostly over at this point. By the time we were done, it was lunch time, and Lilim had her own 'place' to have a meal at so she left for it and I made it back home alone. I told mom that I was out with some male friends and that we had played football at one of the parks nearby.
Usagi looked like her cheerful self. The recent events having put her in a relatively nice mood... and she sure showed her newest interest in 'Superheroes' by having a Moon Knight shirt on while at home. Someone was already making a lot of cash with my image. I was tempted to just find them and have them arrested- but really, that wasn't something possible considering my secret identity prevented me from achieving that sort of legal coverage.
At the very least, they weren't using money for something outright nefarious...
With the day soon turning towards its closure, I kind of found it easier to fall asleep. It felt odd though, as if something was compelling me to sleep from within. And, as I closed my eyes to let sleep take me, I saw a window pop up but failing to fully keep me up and I read what was written on it.

In a blink of an eye, I found myself standing into... space. I was not still within it, rather I was soaring through it. Numerous planets were shifting from forward to behind at a rapid pace, my gaze stolen by the oddly beautiful rush that came through my body.
It was in that moment, as the feeling hit me that I realize this wasn't my body and I couldn't turn my head to properly look around. I could move my eyes, but that was all. I couldn't stop, my flight into the unknown seemingly driven by the true owner of such a body. Where was I? And why do I feel like this was something that had already happened?
My confusion increased as I saw something clashing deep into my steps. Two large forces colliding against one another, violently and viciously. One of Gold that was glowing with uttermost brilliance and defiance against the darkness trying to snuff the light out and consume all.
But right as we were there, moments away from seeing what was going on, pure darkness swallowed us.
Yet, this was not the same darkness as the one that the Light was fighting. It was... a lack of sight. Both literal and... abstract. And then two voices spoke- women, one of which was familiar for some reason. Familiar yet not.
You can't just-
I have to. I am the strongest. I can do it.
I can- I can try to share the burden.
NO! I told you. It has to be me. I am the mightiest and I can take it-
Astra, please. This doesn't have to be like this.
I... I know- I know you want to help. You- I trust you. I know you care, like the rest. But... But you need to understand me. I can't let IT take others. It has to be me. I am the only one with the best chance to bear with me.
Sobbing came, and then a pair of eyes were soon revealed to me. Soft red eyes, begging to be listened. Begging to be understood and... forgiven.
I would wake up the next morning with a strangely sad mood. The overall event was odd and... something about this didn't feel right. Something important was missing.
