Chapter 30

Fight for her Life

"What do you mean they are here?" Marcus growled. He felt his blood boiling with anger.

"Captain Levi and the girls Boyfriend are in the Underworld, looking for Kara." The man said. Marcus pinched the bridge of his nose.

"We're running out of time. Gonna have to kill the girl now." Marcus said. He turned and entered the house. He saw the chair and floor empty and the ropes were cut. "What the.." Kara brought a chair down hard on her father's head. He grunted in pain. Kara ran towards the door. Marcus grabbed her and slammed her hard into the wall. Kara gritted her teeth as she felt her nose break. Marcus threw her across the table. She slid across the table and hit the ground.

"You really.. think... I wouldn't go down without a fight." Kara breathed as her father came around the table. Kara pulled herself up, but got a boot in the chest. Pain radiated through her body. He picked her up by the hair. She gritted her teeth in pain as she was lifted up. Kara punched him in the face. He threw her into a glass table and it shattered on impact. Pain ripped through her side and she saw a shard of glass in her ribs. "Shit." Blood was starting to come out of the wound and she didn't want to risk pulling it out.

"You were trained well." She looked up and saw Marcus trying to walk towards her. She grabbed a shard of glass from the floor. The shard cut her hand a bit. Her father pulled a knife out of his pocket. Kara slid backwards on the floor. Flood was sipping out from where the glass shard was in her side, keeping the glass shard out of sight. He went to kneel, but Kara kicked the knife out of his hand and put the shard of glass into his leg. "You would do that to your own father!" He growled as Kara tried to crawl away.

"Your no father to me. You haven't been since you killed my mother." Kara said. Marcus grabbed her leg and she kicked him hard in the face. Kara smirked when she heard the sickening crack of a nose breaking.

"Bitch!" Marcus yelled. Kara crawled till a hand grabbed her foot. She felt her nails break as she was pulled across the floor. Marcus flipped her over and grabbed her neck and started to squeeze. Kara grabbed his hand as she gasped for air. "Maybe after I kill you, I'll kill the boy you love and your father." Kara saw a vase as she tried to pry her father's hand from her neck. She reached for it. The vase was at the edge of her fingertips. She was loosing air and saw black spots in her vision.

'Jean. Father. Where are you.' Kara thought. The door burst open, causing Marcus to jump. Kara grabbed the vase and swung it, hitting Marcus hard in the head. He was tackled off her as she laid coughing, gasping for air.

"Kara! Kara!" A familiar voice called as she was coming in and out of consiousness. Hands grab her shoulders as she rolled onto her uninjured side. "Pipsqsueak!" Kara turned her head and Jean's worry face came into view. "Your safe."

"Jean." Kara gasped. She turned her head and saw Levi beating the shit out of Marcus.

"Don't ever lay your hands on my daughter again." Levi growled. Kara felt safe as she let the darkness take her.

Jean saw Kara's eyes close as she lost consiousness. Jean saw a glass shard in her side and she had blood coming out of her nose. She had a bruise on her head from where her father slammed her into the wall. Jean got up as Levi got off Marcus, who was laying in a bloody pulp. Jean charged at him and started kicking him.

"You fucking bastard. I should kill you." Jean said. Levi grabbed Jean, before he could.

"Stop, Jean. Kara needs you more then being sent to prison." Levi said with a stern voice. Jean relaxed and pulled himself free from Levi. MPs ran into the house as Jean went back to Kara's side. Nile looked at the mess.

"She put up quite the fight." Nile said. Levi glared at Nile. Two medical soldiers came over with a cot. Jean helped them get Kara on.

"She's loosing blood from the glass shard." The Medical Officer said. Jean had to bite his tongue. Levi came over.

"I got a house not far from here. She be in no shape to get back above ground." Levi said. He grabbed Marcus by the shirt. He was groaning in pain. "Take this pig out of my sight." MPs grab Marcus as the Medical Soldiers took Kara out of the house. Jean stayed close. Jean stopped and watched as Marcus was dragged out. Marcus glared at Jean as he passed. Levi came up to Jean.

"What will happen to him now?" Jean asked.

"He killed his wife and kidnapped and almost killed his daughter. He'll rot in prison." Nile said. Jean sighed in relief.

Back at Levi's home. Everyone was sitting around the table. The house was clean. No one talked as they were worried about Kara.

The door opened and everyone stood up as Kara was brought in on a cot. The medical officers were able to get the bleeding to stop.

"Oh no, Kara." Sasha said. Kara was paler then normal. Jean and Levi stepped in behind as Nifa ran over to help.

"Is Kara gonna be alright?" Conny asked.

"She'll be fine." One of the meical soldiers said. Levi showed them to a room. Jean ran his hands through his hair. Conny and Sasha came up to him and pulled him into a hug. Christa and Mikasa went into the room to see if they needed help with Kara.

"She's alright." Jean said. Sasha and Conny nodded.

"We are staying here till Kara is well to move." Levi said.

"Yes, Captain." Everyone said. Jean looked towards the room they took Kara.

'Please be alright, Kara.' Jean thought.
