Hello, I've been reading tons of gamer fic reactenly and I have been enjoying them Immensely. Plus with my other work involving the destiny + ATLA crossover I've been running in tons of writers blocks so I took a break from it. Either way here what you need to know I don't own RWBY or GRIME they belong to their rightful owners.

Still new to this type of stuff so please leave review to help me improve. It will also motivate me to push these thigns out more faster and enjoy.
When I opened my eyes, I expected to see the familiar roof of my bedroom. Instead, I saw nothing but a black void. I started looking around in a panic but still saw an endless void. Strangely though, I can still see my body. Now that I think of it, I feel like I'm floating, or maybe drifting? Im not sure what the right word for it is? But that doesn't matter. Looking out into the endless void again, I began screaming for help. Calling for anyone to hear me. But of course... nothing. That was until a black box appeared before me.
Greetings, new player!
...¿Que?(What?)
¡Saludos, nuevo jugador!
No, no, I do speak English. I said or thought I didn't know.
Greetings, new player!
Hm smooth.
Thank you.
So what are you? You look like a stereotypical game icon in those poorly made RPG games.
:(
Oh, sorry didn't mean no offense.
:)
Weirdo.
:(
Ok, what the hell is going on?!
You have died in the real world!
...What? No, no, no! But I was on a good path. I had so much to do, so much to live for. I had a reason to live! WHY!
[Apologies, young gamer, but you sadly pass on in your sleep. You had suddenly gotten a stroke in your sleep. And sadly, you died.]
I could not help but stare at the screen, tears going down my eyes, and I read it repeatedly. ¡No! ¡Eso no es cierto! ¡Estás mintiendo! (No! That's not true! You're lying!)
I am sad to say, player, but this is the sad truth.
¡Cállate! (Shut up!) Feeling a solid floor, I collapse onto it and continue to cry loudly.
Would you like to see your body one last time, as well as your parents?
Weekly I said, please. A ring of light opened in front of me before going transparent. There I saw my deceased body in a coffin. And I couldn't help but break down in tears again. It's true... it's true. Then I heard crying. Looking up at the ring again, I see my mom and dad. My mom was crying openly, while my dad was holding a strong face, but that was too much for him as tears ran down his eyes. I slammed my hands against the ring, a solid invisible force blocking me. I knew it was useless, but I couldn't help It and even started screaming for them.
¡Mamá, papá, estoy aquí! ¡Estoy aquí! ¡Mamí, Papí, por favor... estoy aquí! ¡Aquí está tu hijo!(Mom, Dad, I'm here! I'm right here! Mommy, Daddy, please, I'm right here! Your son is right here!) Please... look at me... please. I stopped trying to call out for them and continued crying on the floor. Mamá, papá lo siento. (Mom, Dad, I'm sorry) I'm so, so sorry.
I don't know how long I'd been in that position before the black screen reappeared.
Once again, I am sorry for your demise. But you must continue and move on, young gamer.
What if I don't want to. What if I just want to stay here and sleep forever.
You could do that. Or you can be reborn in a new world and gain extraordinary powers!
I decline.
Huh?
I valued my family more than anything. My parents, my brothers and sisters, and my friends. But now that's all gone.
Like I said before, young gamer. You have to continue on, and as much as it pains you to leave behind everything. This will be a new start with significant opportunities. Worlds to explore famous games, shows, books, manga, and anime, all for you to explore and play around to your liking!
That does sound nice. But at such a cost. What are manga and anime, by the way?
You're joking, right?
No, why would I lie to you?
Oh boy, you might be going in blind for a few worlds then. What shows have you seen then? What about books or games?
I've been playing a game called Trepang2 recently. I enjoyed its difficulty, but of course, me being me, I managed to master it very fast. Same with Dark Souls, Bloodborne, hollow knight, TF2, Titanfall, Destiny, Deep rock galactic, Dead by Daylight, Apex Legends, Oh, and GRIS, a stunning game about loss. For books, well, there is Percy Jackson, a lot of books about the holocaust.
What the fuck!
Hey, I enjoyed history and was fascinated with reading holocaust survivors' books. Now what else did I read? Hmmm, a diary about a girl taking drugs and how she became addicted, the Inheritance Cycle, and others; I don't remember their names.
No Harry Potter?
Nope, just those. Now for shows, there are the loony toons, Courage the cowardly dog.
Classic.
I know, right! He-man, She-ra, the reboot version, Brooklyn 99, Avatar the Last air bender, the dragon prince, Tom and Jerry, Lucifer,
Quite a bit of Netflix shows.
Yeah, it has some good stuff in them. So where was I, oh right RWBY-
Wait, that's an anime!
It is? I thought it was a 3D animation.
It is, but it's 3D anime.
Ah makes sense. Would Pokemon, one punch man, and maybe even High School DxD count as anime?
...
I'll take that as a yes. Then perhaps I did see some anime but never knew they were called anime.
How would you not know?
Well, I guess Pokemon made me think that way. I'm not too sure?
Well, whatever. Are you ready to begin?
[Y/N]
Hmm, what other choices do I have? Ok, then, I accept!
Great! We shall begin by giving you some gasic gamer skills.
Gasic?
*basic*
Ah.
[Skills Gained]
[Gamers body] (passive) Allows the user to act like a video game character and gain pain immunity. You will also restore all of your Health after being well-rested!
[Gamers Mind] (passive) makes you a sociopath
What?!
Jk, though not too far fetch. You are immune to psychological and mental damage and will not suffer any mental illnesses. Also, grants immunity to mind reading and will focus better in challenging/demanding situations.
[Observe] (Manual) Allows the user to gain information on whoever and whatever. [LV. 1/100]
What happens when it reaches 100?
You get an entire portfolio of whatever you used Observe on. Plus, mind reading.
Oh.
Now, what would you like your new name to be?
Wait what? I don't wanna change my name! My parents named me Daníel Pedraza Gonzales, and I'll stay as Daníel Pedraza Gonzales.
Are you sure? Doing so will trigger hard mode, making leveling up incredibly difficult and gaining new skills just as difficult.
I said it once, and I'll say it again, I ain't changing my name.
Very well.
[Hard mode activated]
You have entered hard mode. Your starting world will now be a challenging version of a game or an anime. Any other worlds you visit will be scaled to make it harder. Unless you get lucky.
(WARNING) Weapon masterys have been locked, and you cannot choose a weapon mastery. Earn your mastery by finding someone to teach you or by self-practice (Warning) will be 100X slower if you do so!
(WARNING!) Magic masterys have been locked, and you cannot choose a magic mastery. Earn your magic by finding someone to teach you or by self-practice (Warning) will be 100X slower if you do so!
(WARNING!) Range masterys have been locked, and you cannot choose a range mastery. Earn your mastery by finding someone to teach you or by self-practice (Warning) will be 100X slower if you do so!
(WARNING!) Productions locked must but taught or self-taught. (Warning) will be 1000X slower if you do so!
[Choose an armor mastery]
Light?
Medium?
Heavy?
Only armor is unlocked?
Armor can only be leveled up by taking damage from others, so there is no reason to restrict it.
Oh, ok, then I'll choose heavy.
[Heavy-Armor Mastery] (LV 1/100)
(WARNING!) You will now gain three flaws.
Wait.
Change your mind?
Hell no! I was going to ask if I can have my ADHD back. That is if I don't have it anymore.
Oh, still going through with this very well. I can respect that. But may I ask why you want to have your disability back?
My ADHD has molded me into the man I am, and I'll continue to do so, for it is a part of me.
Hmm, interesting. Very well, then it will be a flaw.
(Flaws)
{uncommon}[ADHD] (Passive) focus is lost easily if it ain't in your interest. You will have problems focusing on a task, multitasking, impulsivity, disorganization, and prioritizing. But if something does catch your interest and focus, you will gain a 10X, 40X, 80X, and 160X buff in the progression of all skills and levels, depending on how focused you are. But if bored or uninterested, you will gain a debuff of -80x, -240X, -640X, -1000X, and by the sounds of it, yes, you will lose progression but not levels. Low chance of triggering a random event between 1-4 am.
Oh, that's good was panicking a bit with that last part. Also, is the last part really 3 am motivation.
[Unbearbly innocent]
Lucky bastard.
Ok, fine, ignore me.
{common}[Unbearbly innocent] You are unbearably innocent to the point people treat you like a child. Those with malicious intents would not hesitate to use you. Gain a 100% buff in gaining affection/reputation with children. 80% higher chance for people to attempt to manipulate you. (Meaning that they'll try to, not that you'll have a higher chance to be manipulated)
{common}[Power hungry] You strive for power no matter the cost. Barely anything will stop you from achieving it. When you are placed in a situation where you can gain a massive power increase, you will not hesitate to take it. Even if it means betrayal.
I don't like the last one.
Yeah, well, too bad that's hard mode for you. But hey, since you chose an existing flaw from your past, you will gain only one powerful Perk rather than a normal one.
Oh nice, what is it.
Hold up, still rolling... ok there!
{Godly} [Impossible adaptibility]
What the fuck?! That just nullifies hard mode! Whatever, you got it fair n square.
Yey.
{Godly} [Impossible adaptibility] You Adapt to change at an impossible rate, making most debuffs nulled quickly. You learn skills and adapt to change at a 10000% faster rate.
WHAT THE FUCK!
Um, are you gonna take it away from me?
... No, it's a fair buff to gain, just sporadic to get, and rare to the point of impossible.
Damn... Ain't arguing, though. How rare is this Perk anyways?
It's a 1 in 10 million.
Oh.
Yeah! Whatever, it Basically numbs the self-practice debuff. Now Let's spin which tutorial world you'll get. This will also give you a random race from that world.
[World of GRIME selected.]
Uh oh.
You know this world?
Yeah, and depending on what I get, I can be screwed!
[Race aquired]
{Godly}(Akhlan)
¡SÍÍÍÍÍ! What a score!
... ok, what the hell is an Akhlan? Also, what is this luck, another godly!
Either way, collect all the abilities you are supposed to gain in the world of Grime to travel to other worlds. Oh, hey, this race also changes your level-up system and skills.
(WARNING!) Due to your race, specific skills have been changed!
Skill changes:
[Observe] [Grime] (passive) Upon an entity getting damaged by any means, you will see a health bar. The health bar will not show how much max health said entity has and will sometimes be split into different sections. To gain any info on any Entities, you must absorb them or crush them! Enemies doing a heavy attack or an unblockable/unabsorbable attack will glow red to you.
The system then shows me a demonstration of how those bars would look like. They show absolutely nothing other than they are taking damage. Same for the attacks.
Greyed-out bars mean that they can't be absorbed.
{universal}[Gamers body] [Grime] (manual) allows the user to act like the video game character from Grime. Healing must be done using BREATH. Health and Breath can be restored upon entering a Levolam or by absorbing Prey.
{common}[Heavy-armor mastery] has been changed to {Grime only}[Vessel power]
{Grime only}[Vessel power] Allows better control over the Vessel, making skills from this race cost less. (LV. 1/100) -1% cost in using any skills with the Vessel. Also, gain the ability to make new vessels once outside the tutorial level.
How do I level this up now?
Figure it out yourself. Now for your level-up system.
The only way to level up is to consume entities and gain Mass. This is a currency for your race that is used to strengthen yourself. Leveling up must be done inside the Levolam!

My vision fades the darkness again. Then I see a cave. Before I know it, I'm falling... WAIT IM FALLING! AHHHHHHH! Wait, I can't scream! But I didn't get time to panic because I landed on the floor, and my whole body shattered. Oh... wait, I can't feel pain. I'm still alive, but I'm also in a million pieces. Perhaps I can reform myself. Concentrating, my body started to rebuild itself, and before long, I was back to normal.
HA, HA, Score! I don't even know how I did that, but I did! Alright, now what? Right, my voice! Attempting to speak again, nothing happens except the spirling vortex of my head expanding out... Wait, hold on? Vortex head I started feeling for my head only to realize it there nothing but a vortex. Going over to a small puddle nearby, I looked into my reflection and saw myself. I had a purple blackhole for a head, and my body was made of greyish stone with a bit of purple hue around it. Not only that, my body was chiseled (Pun intended.)
+1 rep with the Game for the pun [1/100]
...Really.
It was a good pun, at least for me.
True, anyways, seeing as I got nothing to do here, I explored the cave.
It didn't take long for me to discover a secret drop. And by secret, I mean It broke as soon as I stepped over it. Falling and taking more damage, I checked to see how much Health I had.
Damn, half my Health is left. Sucks not being able to see a number, though. Seeing how I couldn't heal myself yet either, I continued going. I eventually continued going and getting tips from the Game, like how to absorb creatures, dashing, the Surrogate, a giant purple smooth-out stone that I can level up inside, to the first weapon Yon gave me. Oh, and Yon is a Stone born that decided to follow me due to how beautiful my body was. It was like instant hero worship from him; it was kinda disturbing. Eventually, when I absorbed enough of a particular creature, I gained a trait from them. But I needed a Hunt Point, which I can only get from killing elite enemies or finding them hidden. I also got killed a few times before (basically found out I was immortal). I eventually [Adapted] to their attack patterns and continued on. Then came the biggest of them all.
"Make sure to crush the biggest of them uglies," Yon Said before disappearing behind a jump. I almost forgot I met Yon while exploring the cave, and upon seeing the shape of my body, it was an instant worship from him! It was kinda creepy seeing it in person.
Continuing forward, I saw what he meant. A giant stone head was in front of me, and the only way through was to destroy it. But another thing about it was a muffled crying inside the head. Hitting it with my twin daggers, I found it in the cave. I ended up cracking the mouth open four hands came out, two on each side. One of the hands attacked me, and I simply absorbed it, causing the mouth it came out of to open wider. Dashing through the bigger opening, I did the same thing on the other side. There was a slight pause before the whole head was forcefully cracked open by the thing inside it. Then came the giant health bar.
AMALGAM |█████████████████████████████████████████████|Oh boy. The boss was huge! Towering over me by three times my size, its body looked star-shaped with tons of hands holding onto it on the bottom, and it had six giant hands that were out, two of which were still holding pieces of the head and using them as a shield.
Dodging a swipe from the boss, I dashed forward and started swinging my daggers at the stem of the hands holding it. Eventually, I had to move out of the way as a hand tried to crush me. But not counting the other hand, I was crushed under that one taking some damage.
Not being able to dash again due to my low Force, I tried absorbing them instead, which worked. Its arm was completely absorbed and took a massive chunk of damage.
AMALGAM |██████████████████████████████████ |Hearin it scream in pain, I Dashed again. I absorbed another arm, removing that one as well. As no other arm can attack me on this side, I continue swinging my daggers again at its stem. I managed to get six swings in before it crushed me with the piece of the head it was holding onto. Right forgot there was that arm as well. Checking my Health once I wince (if I could.)
Damn, I'm about to die. Seeing I was in low Health, I dashed out from under the piece and used my Breath to heal.
Damn, almost full Health! Looking back at the Amalgam, I checked its Health.
AMALGAM |████████████████████████████ |Almost half Health alright-
It didn't get to finish, my thought as the boss suddenly screamed in anger and regrew the arms I had just absorbed. Darn forgot about its second faze. Welp, it can't be too hard, right?
(Three seconds later)
I took enough damage from the boss and ended up getting killed. If I was able to sigh, I would. Reforming at my latest Surrogate, I continued again took me ten more tries before I killed it.
With the final swing of my daggers, the Amalgam roared In pain, flailing around crying black tar tears before bleaking them out of its single eye. It stared at me one last time before it fell into the cavern behind it. I heard the distant sound of stone hitting the floor.
GREAT PREY CRUSHEDFinally! Who knew hard mode made the boss change entirely from the Game.
Boi, I told you that all things would be more challenging!
With a mental sigh, I shook my head. Continuing forward, I make my way to exit the cave.
Wait!
Yes?
Absorb the pieces of the head the Amalgam left before it fell.
Crap, how could I forget about that! Walking back, I stood in the middle of the two pieces before I ended up floating up. Woah, this is new! I didn't know how, but I knew what to do next, almost like instinct. My small black hole head expanded into a bigger one. Absorbing the two pieces, my head returns to its standard size.
There was a euphoria inside me when I consumed the pieces. My body twitched as if I had a chill before calming down. Then came the skill.
Skill gained
[Ardor] Ardor increases the amount of Mass gained from defeated foes, up to 100%. Ardor is gained by crushing or absorbing Prey. Ardor is lost upon taking damage.
"A stirring appetite... a taste for more."
Cool, I just gotta avoid getting hit too much, and I'll gain more money.
The rest of the time in the beginning parts of the tutorial world was spent going around and finding some secrets and a bit of backtracking. Hell even found a full armor set.
{Grime only}[Otherwhere Phlox set] It is yours, but from otherwhere.
{full set bonus} Take 50% more damage from all sources.
Yeah, it sucks. That didn't stop me from equipping it, though. I want a challenge even harder than this!
[Perk gained]
{rare}[Gaming Masochist]
OI!
Don't worry. This is a buff.
Still feels like an insult.
Cause it also is.
:(
{rare}[Gaming Mashochist] The more damage you take, the more adrenaline to feel. You feel a thrill in the danger, especially with less Health. Gain a damage buff the more fragile you are or, the more damage you take. 75% max Health gives a 35% damage buff, 50% gives a 70% damage buff, 15% gives a 100% damage buff, and 1% gives a 500% damage buff.
(Can stack with other perks and traits)
Damn 500% for only 1 hp. Basically, a glass canon build can be made with this.
Yep, hoping to see what you make of this one.
I left after thoroughly exploring the weeping cavity (aka starter area). Doing so, I met Yon again!
"Oh, chiseled one! Look what I found for you in the meantime! More followers to serve and bask in your PeRfEcTiOn! This one is boulder head, and is the other boulder head. They don't do much but usually do what they're told to do." He then asks me to let him join me in the Carven palace so he can become perfect like me. Either way, I leave him be as I climb out of the cave. As I see the light, I get struck with an intense sadness. I hear a call, a familiar one! I look to the sky and try to reach out for whatever that call is, but I cannot. Relenting, my spiral head resonates from the call I received. The map opens before my eyes, and I see purple particles fly over the sky of the map to reveal a spiral of colors. Knowing where to go, I continue.
Unformed desertUltimately, I just speed-ran this part to enter Gloomnest, underneath the unformed desert. Nothing interesting happened here other than me absorbing some creatures. Then after that, I entered Upper Lithic.
Remembering a secret mini-boss here, I start going over to it. After climbing and walking, getting shattered twice, I reached the mini-boss. But before I was able to trigger the fight.
"Sibling, what are these tiny stone structures you make?"
"These are statues, big sibling. Here, let me show you how to make one. You should really attend the mom's art classes."
"Art?"
"Yes, big sibling art."
The little rock head begins to show the Harmles Rockgiant how to make the little statues. I couldn't help but just watch how adorable this is.
It could also be the [Unbearbly innocent] Flaw acting up, but I don't care as I continue to watch them. They eventually see me and invite me to make art which I do. For a while, I ended up making art with them.
[3 weeks later]
Mother fucker stop making art with them and progress. You've barely even gained any new levels! The only thing you gain is a goddamn art skill!
[Artist] (LV. 52/100) Your art skills are that of an adept artist! You can use anything to make art, whether it be painting, items, music, crafting, etc. It can also influence other skills or traits. Gain a 52% bonus in selling anything considered art.
Ok, perhaps you're right... buuutt.
Oh, god, no!
[Another 3 weeks later]
[Artist] (LV. 100/100) Your art skills are that of a master artist! You can use anything to make art, whether it be painting, items, music, crafting, etc. It can also influence other skills or traits. Gain a 100% bonus in selling or making anything considered art.
(max level. Hidden skill unlocked) The Artist will help you progress specific skills faster!
Brother in Christ, please stop. How did you even manage to accidentally kill the Harmless Rock Giant?! Just kill the mothers of Lithic and finish the god damn tutorial world.
Oh alright... Buuuutt.
No, No! I'm putting my non-existent foot down. How are you not even bored of staying in the same place for so long?!
The Rockheads are very entertaining. But fine, I'll go do it then. Reluctantly I got up from drawing and went to the Mothers of Lithic.
You've played the Game Grime before, right?
Yeah, why?
Then you do remember you doing them all a favor, right? The Breath they were imbued with was accidentally forced upon them. They are forced to live in constant pain. Doing what you will do is a mercy, so please don't hesitate to break them... even if it makes you feel bad. Plus, [Gamers minds] will get you through this.
Yeah, how could I forget about the old pain? Every living being here suffers from it. Idiot, I was only denying the inevitable. With another mental sigh, I continue.
(Time skips to the last boss in the tutorial world. I would write the whole story of the tutorial world, but it's too much for me.)
To make things short, I fought over so many creatures and got so many traits and skills. Plus, figuring out that eating/absorbing bosses gives me skills was a no-brainer. But none-boss creatures, I have to absorb many of them before I get a trait from them. Some 5, some 15, but if their elites, then like 1 or 4 of them should do. But after killing the last boss, Shidra of the world pillar, I finally got the skill to travel to new realities. But my god, his boss fight was torture. Even with the bonus damage from Gaming Masochist, he was still kicking my ass. I even saw my death counter on the level screen. HE KILLED ME OVER 300 TIMES! So yeah, hard mode sucks. I was not even sure impossible adaptability was working! But hey, I've had fun in some parts... some... parts.
Hey, Game, what must I do to get out of here?
Enter your surrogate/Levolam, and you'll enter a new reality. You can pick a new world or redo the tutorial for better rewards, like exclusive only things from this world.
... You son of a gun, I'm in. Let us redo it! Wait, do I lose any of my stuff?
No, it's basically a new game+.
Noice, alright, let's go. Entering my Levolam, I found the option to enter a new reality and did the one for my world. Same thing as the beginning. I was falling, but unlike last time, I knew I would fall, So I clung to the wall and slid down.
Let's do this! Pumping myself up, I continue my grind in this tutorial world. Plus, the exclusive rewards sound interesting.
(6 new game+ later)
This is quite impressive if I say so myself. You've managed to master your Absorbing ability to the point it's nearly impossible to hit you. Plus, your trait is also a considerable benefactor to your improvement.
Yeah. I think I may have gone overboard a bit. I wanted to max out all of my traits before leaving here. Now that I realize what would happen if I ascend with my other kin?
You'll go into stasis for a long time and wake up in a new world.
So there's no difference if I enter a new world via reality warp inside the Surrogate.
Yeah, one is quicker; the other is just for extra cinematic. But both do the same.
Alright then, entering the Levolam. I added one level to my Health and checked my stats over the last 6 new game+.

(Remant Pov)
A blast of OTHERWHERE energy spread through Remnant, spawning in the World Eater, the Akhlan, the GAMER. Throughout all, Remnant, Grimm felt the powerful pull of the blast. The humans felt frightened about the blast echoing through the whole world. All fanus felt a chill run down their spine. Ozpin felt the wrongness and unease of the energy. Salem felt a hope the maybe she could finally rest. The maidens felt energy unlike no other, one of them even seeking a potential ally for its tribe. But for the relics, they know that their end has come. And that they can't do anything to stop it.
So Ozpin sent out people to see what the blast of energy was.
Salem sent out her henchmen to hopefully recruit a powerful ally that may be able to either kill her or help her in her own goals.
Raven went looking for a new potential member to add to her tribe.
And the rest of the world won't know what will happen next.
I hope you all enjoy this first chapter I did enjoy writing this (minus having to write all those traits down manually) but either way please write reviews as well as any reccomendation for skills characters or any idea you may have. I may or may not add them in and also make sure you don't harrass me with it as well.
