Soaring with a Dash

Short Introductory-

This story is based primarily based on a ship about Rainbow Dash and Soarin', otherwise known as SoarinDash. Soarin' has always dreamed of joining the Wonderbolts. But as it turns out it is truly a challenge. Will Rainbow Dash finally get in and achieve her lifelong goals? Find out by reading Soaring with a Dash!

Soarin's Point of View

The day for Soarin' was like any other ordinary day, dull, dim, and simple. 'Other normal day at the headquarters, well… might as well see what the Wonderbolts are up to.' Soarin goes to look at his clock, it was half past 7! He was going to be late if he didn't get up and hurry to the academy fast enough. Soarin' sped out of his house and finally arrived. "Shoot, shoot, shoot! I'm going to be late! Spitfire is going to be so mad!" Soarin' exclaimed.

As he dashed to his locker to his retrieve his uniform, Soarin', surprisingly arrived on time… "Hey guys!" Soarin' had yelled, panting. Surprise, a pegasus with a white coat and gleaming yellow hair instantly replied, "HEY CLIPPER!" The corners of Soarin's mouth had turned into a grin knowing he was on time, and by listening to the excitement her friend Surprise had possessed. After a while, Spitfire, the captain of the Wonderbolts yelled "OKAY BOLTS', GIVE ME 500 LAPS!" At first, all the elite flyers groaned, but soon started doing the warmups.

Being the world's best aerobatic team meant to be the best of the best, and the supreme flyers took pride in that. After training Spitfire had started discussing moves, they were going to do in the Grand Galloping Gala, an event that was soon coming up, that they were going to perform in. "Alright everyone today we're going to be discussing the moves we are going to be doing at the Gala that's coming up!" Spitfire said. At this, Fleetfoot, a pegasus mare with cyan skin and slick white hair blurted out, "That's great! Do we get to perform out signature moves?" The co-captain of the team Soarin soon responded, "Of course we are! Our signature moves are what makes this shows so AWESOME!" Spitfire, Wave Chill, High Winds, and basically every Wonderbolt had nodded at this bold statement, made by the co-captain.

Third Person Point of view of Rainbow Dash

Beep Beep Beep! Rainbow Dash's alarm had gone off. She had groaned for she was not a morning person… As smug as Rainbow Dash felt in her bed, she knew it was time to get up. After spending at least 2 minutes not doing anything, she finally decided to start her day. As Dash reluctantly got up and went downstairs in her cloud mansion to get breakfast, she realized this was just another boring, ordinary day. 'Ugh my head is aching, why am I so dizzy?' Rainbow Dash had thought. After eating breakfast, she had headed out to see what her friends were up to. The majestic rainbow maned pegasus with a coat colored of brilliant cyan, with dazzling majestic magenta eyes had dashed out. She had noticed how it had been a typical autumn day, the leaves on trees were whispering and rustling. The sun had not been visible for it was covered behind the gray cumulus clouds. 'The pegasus weather team has done a great job for ONCE… with putting clouds up, so it ATLEAST feels like fall.' Rainbow dash thought. She flew towards Twilight's castle, since it was where her friends usually hung out.

As Rainbow Dash knocked on the door, expecting her friend Twilight or Spike to answer, she had noticed that neither of them opened the door for her. She had knocked again, except this time aggressively. No answer came… UNTIL, Spike had finally opened the door. "Oh, hey Rainbow Dash!" Spike had exclaimed, "Is there anything you need?" Spike had once again said. "Hey there Spike, and uhm no I don't think I need anything right now, but do you know where the girls are?" Rainbow Dash questioned Spike. "Oh, you're looking for the girls? Hm, I think they went to Crystal Empire on a friendship quest, they said it had something to do with Starlight and Sunburst." Spike remarked. At this Rainbow Dash had said "Wait really? So, the map had called all of them except me on a friendship quest? The Element of Loyalty?" Rainbow Dash uttered. At this Spike said "Yep pretty much. Well, is there anything else you need know that you know" Rainbow Dash had yelled "Nope, bye Spike!" as she flew off, since she had received the answer, she needed. As the rainbow maned pegasus dashed off Spike yelled out to her "YOU COULD HAVE ATLEAST SAID THANK YOU!"

'Hmm I wonder why the map called all of my friends on a friendship quest, EXCEPT ME!' During her flight, Rainbow Dash had decided to take a nap because, well… she had nothing else to do. As she flew towards Cloudsdale she had grabbed a comfortable looking cloud, to say the least and fell asleep.

Chapter 2

Soarin's Point of View in Third Person

As practice had finished, Soarin went out to get something to eat, because he was STARVING! As he went down to the mess hall, he had ordered an apple pie, and went back to sit down next to his friends, Fleetfoot, Rapidfire, Wave Chill, and Surprise. After a while, Spitfire had come down and sat next to Wave Chill. "Hey, did you guys hear?" Fleetfoot exclaimed. "Uhm hear about what?" Spitfire said. "About Fire Streak quitting!" Fleetfoot yelled again. This made all the pegasi sitting at the table stop and look at her with a confused expression. "WAIT WHAT?!" Surprise hollered. "Wait… so what's he doing after he's done with the bolts?" Soarin said. "Well, he told me something about teaching at Cloudsdale Academy." Spitfire replied. "PSST really? He's really leaving the best flying team in all of Equestria, to teach at some academy?" Surprise yelled. "Looks like he is, well, we should get him something that'll will remind him of us, both as his friends, and Wonderbolts. Also, one question, who's going to be replacing him?" Soarin had asked.
