"You really don't learn do you?" asked a woman as she walked into an alley somewhere in New York City.
"I've told you not to cause trouble with humans," she said before throwing a chakram at some garbage, knocking it over, which exposed a small green creature that had been hiding behind it.
"No one saw me, Gabrielle, I was just sneaking some food from a restaurant's trash, that's it," said the creature, which was a goblin.
"And if a human had seen you then all of hell would have broken loose," said Gabrielle.
"I know that humans don't believe in us anymore and that we have to be careful, but we still need to get food," said the goblin.
"We're doing our best to bring food to the underground, so stay down there for now," said Gabrielle as she handed him an apple.
"I will," said the goblin after taking the fruit. He then headed for a storm drain which he entered and disappeared into the darkness of.
"Things have only grown more insane since I became a demi-God, I just hope that we can fix things," said Gabrielle as she shook her head. Suddenly, her phone began to rin in her pocket.
"What's up, Z?" asked Gabrielle after picking up.
"I just got a facial recognition of that woman in your painting," said Z who was a woman on the other end.
"Where?" asked a surprised Gabrielle.
"Here in New York, I'll send you the address now," said Z.
"But don't forget what the Fates said about her," she said.
"I know, she won't have her memories from her past life so I shouldn't get my hopes up when I go to talk to her," said Gabrielle before she hung up.
"But I need her to regain them and fast, because she's our last hope in this war," she said while walking out of the alley and to a car that had been waiting on her.
