So, Hi? dunno how to start this, so this is my first fanfic story so i'll be putting my own rules in here and how this is going to work but first of all: i don't own any of the characters here with the exception of original characters, Character from Rwby and Devil May cry Belongs to Rooster Teeth and Capcom.

1- The story is not going to follow the stories cannon as a rule, it will work with it as a guide but i'll add new events to a point where the timelines separate from what we know, sometimes i'll go around and add new things just because i feel like adding new stuff would work better for me as a writer.

2- All constructive reviews are welcome, i know i'm not the best writer, especially since i'm kinda new on fanfiction (a friend dared me), i've written original stuff just for fun and this is also my first story that is being written in English, Spanish is my mother language, so take a guess, i'm rather inexperienced so i'll need help, i would be really thankful, specially in combat writing scenes, tips would help a lot, specially examples, i want to write something that is compelling and fun, so like i say, all constructive reviews are welcome, not the ones that are just for the sake of "Hey you suck because you suck" "Or i don't like where this because i just don't" If you don't like, you are free not to read, i want help to grow as a writer (god i'm rambling again)

3- In terms of, putting in DBZ terms, Power Levels Dante at the beginning is powerful, but not like super overpowered, he is above the team of Rwby mostly because his experience, he'll become more powerful as he starts unlocking the devil inside him, this is also pre-dmc 3 Dante and starts going first as Tony Redgrave, with amnesia and few skills, as the story goes he'll get stronger and be a bit…well, better not mess with the Legendary Demon hunter, also, Dante doesn't have a semblance mostly because he is part demon, his demon side blocks it.

4- Some character personalities will change a bit, i'll try to stick to their character as best as i can but there will some character growth of course, but Dante will be a bit different, specially since he is not alone, he'll still be the Badass SOB wisecracker that we know and love but he'll be a bit more honest in some ways and serious too, also Dante is younger in this story, he's 16-17.

5- There will be ROMANCE, WOOOOOOOOOH YEAH BABY!, the thing is, I'm still deciding. The romance characters are between Ruby and Weiss, Why not Yang and Blake? Yang is an obvious choice for a lot and it would make sense buuuuuuuuuuuut i dunno, it's too easy and i don't feel creative about it, Blake was almost in buuuuuuuuuut i dunno, i can see her more as a confident to dante since both of them are seen as less because their nature, her being a faunus and dante being a halfbreed, a cambion, but i don't see them together in a romantic matter, maybe it's just me.

So, why Ruby and Weiss? First of all Weiss, what can I say? a refined girl, well spoken, strict and her complete opposite, opposites attract each other, i rest my case, I REST MY CASE I SAY! well, to expand a bit more i can find each other filling what each other miss and working with each other what they are missing.

Now, my case with Ruby, Well, aside from Main protagonist of the both series, they are battle loving character who doesn't give up, both of them are special, the silver eyes, a son of the legendary Dark knight, but doesn't know how to really feel, Dante is a dork but he is bad expressing his real emotions, Ruby is a bit better, i can find kinship in both of them, love growing and both of them confused about it. I dunno. if the story gets a following i might leave it to voting.

6- Demons are more dangerous than Grimm, i don't mean stronger unless you are an overlord or a demon with a Name, example, Cerberus, Demons can go around a lot of things, they are smart and can strike out of nowhere, hell, one of them might be taking the appearance of your childhood friend, your kid, your wife/Husband, The hunters can take care of Lesser demons, no problem but they aren't a pushover, their abilities can drain Aura faster but a higher demon can pass through the aura, no problem and some lesser demons can have special abilities than can go through aura but they are rare.

7- I have work, so i'll be spending part of my free time uploading and writing parts, they aren't going to be like, super regular like every week, they might take a week to a whole month, so be patient, if there is some stuff happening i'll publish something saying "Hey, shit hit the fan at the moment so i'll be rather busy" or "WRITING BLOCK AHHHHHHHH SAVE ME" ya know, the usual.

9- i'll try to leave author Notes at the end or the beginning of each part, like, kinda what was in my mind at the time or what i was watching, listening or playing at the time, and if the story gets traction, i'll even answer some reviews and questions if there is some, it would be fun interacting right? …right…?

So here it is, For now it will be called "The Hunters and the Devil" If i get a better name or if someone says what would be better be called, i might steal it and take all the credit, no, i'm kidding, i would give credit when it's due and would be really thankful, i'm bad with titles for stories.
