Prologue

In the wizarding world, Harry Potter had once been a name synonymous with heroism. His journey began as an orphaned child, living under the stairs of his aunt and uncle's home. Destiny, however, had different plans for him. When he turned eleven, a letter arrived, inviting him to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, forever altering the course of his life.

His years at Hogwarts were marked by adventure, friendships, and harrowing confrontations. He faced dark wizards, uncovered the existence of Horcruxes, and ultimately vanquished the most feared dark wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort. Afterward, Harry became an Auror, dedicated to safeguarding the wizarding world from dark forces.

As time passed, Harry's discontent grew. He had fought valiantly against the pure-blood dogma that still plagued the magical society he had saved. However, the deep-rooted prejudices and societal norms continued to persist. In his search for a way to change the status quo, he delved into the mysteries of ancient and forbidden magic, particularly Rune magic. It was during this pursuit that he took a darker path, seeking to challenge the establishment that perpetuated the dogma he so despised.

In a bid to bring about change, he rose as a dark lord, challenging the very foundations of the wizarding world. But despite his immense power and conviction, he would ultimately admit defeat. The forces against him were too great, and the cost too high.

In his moment of surrender, he found himself standing before the Veil of Death, an artifact of unknown power. Following in the footsteps of his godfather, Sirius Black, who had also crossed into the unknown through the Veil, Harry stepped through the archway located deep within the Ministry of Magic.

As he emerged on the other side, he realized that he was no longer in the world he knew. He had arrived in an alternate version of Earth, separated from the wizarding world that had once held him captive. Here, he took on a new identity, becoming Lord Gabriel Thorn.

A long time ago in a Alternate Universe...

Date: 1200s

Location: a unknown Greek island

Foreword:

Once upon a time, there was an artist of great renown, nobles, merchants and Kings would travel far and wide for the advice and works, of the Lord Thorn and Lady Marina.

There family lived on the outskirts of the sandstone town, with a small estate with a handful of servants, to tend the horses and maintain the garden.

They lived an ordinary life to all those that visited her, cultured certainly, and in places extravagant. But none would have guessed the true extent of her abilities.

For while, they weaved, painted and sculptured great works of art. They were truly and artist in magic. Not the magic of ancient lore or woodwitches. Not a far more subtle and if mastered more powerful kind. Runes.

Chapter 1

Location: The Blue House, North District, Unknown Island

Most days the weather was bright and airy, with the familiar scent of the ocean breeze light in the air. Today was not one of those days, the sky was grey, the wind chilling and the mood sour as weather conditions continue to isolate the town from trade and merchant ships.

It is in to this scene, a boy, letter in hand comes dashing through...

'my lady!' Jonathan shouted has he barged through the gates to the family home. Searching for his mistress. He finds her, on the balcony.

'lady marina' he calls again.

'yes jonothon, back so soon? I thought you'd be out longer' the lady Marina intoned, her eyes mischievous and friendly as she looks down upon and lifelong friend, Jonathan.

'my lady, bad news from the harbour, something happened, there was letter. It's for you ma'am'

The scene had changed now, and so had the lady Marinas eyes. Where before they shined with her youth, now they sharped with a seriousness well beyond her years.

Waveing her hand she beckons jonothon upwards.

'Hand it over John' she says face tight

Jonothon watches his friend and employer, the tightness appearing at her eyes and the way she set her jaw as she read the letter.

'Go, tell my mother I received a letter and I must go into town'

'are you sure? The crowns haven't dissipated milady, they're starving. It is not safe.'

'i must jonothon, just tell my mother she will understand'

And so he dashed from the room to find his true employer.
