Hey, I suck at fights but I try, my last one had to many missions and now this one has more slice of life moments. I am still learning so I don't mind helpful comments.
I also do not know every detail of the third shinobi war, sorry if I get things wrong.
Kakashi will be around but it is a slow burn.
I sat in the back of the classroom readjusting my light pink Ponytail.
"You missed some." The boy next to me spoke, he was so small being age 8, two years below the rest of us being such a skilled student he was bumped up. I remade my hair getting the stragglers and fixed it nodding at him.
My teacher was at the front of the class room talking to some other chunin vested person in the doorway.
He leaned in. "What do you think they are talking about?"
"I don't know." I dropped my hands on my table and picked up my pencil starting to doodle on my paper along the edges.
"Guess."
I sighed and looked. "He sharted, needs a new pair of underwear and wants our teachers." That made him chuckle to himself like the child he was finding poop funny. "I don't know." I doodled some more. They whispered as I watched them and then my paper suddenly interested in what they were doing for so long.
The class taking advantage of the moment as they chatted loudly.
He nodded and the other teacher walked off as he stepped to the front of the classroom.
"Okay I Need the following to stand up." Quieting the class.
"Taiki Kino." I looked over as the pretty white haired boy stood up on the other side of the class room looking worried, a gasp from one of his girl fans.
"Itsuki Uchiha." The cold kid in front of me stood up, a few mumbles came from everywhere.
"Kaito Sakai." The kid beside me stood up, looking at me worried.
"Inokei Yamanaka." I looked at him shocked before I slowly stood up locking eye's with my neighbor, my worry reaching his.
"What is going on?" The young boy asked me as I shrugged worried looking around the room Ignoring the next two names but noticing the similarity's in us. "Do you think it is with the war?" He asked and looked at him sadly wishing that to not be true.
I don't want to go to war, we are not even genin yet.
I will fight and help with all I could give but I was standing here repeating 'not the war' over and over in my head.
"All six of you head to the third classroom down the hall." We stood there but the Uchiha was the only one to move. "Now!" He yelled and we scurried off down the steps and out the door.
The room had six more kids in it as we all pored in together, that same teacher was sitting on the teachers desk reading some scroll. Everyone's eye's looking around confused and worried.
He was right, they need more body's and we have been picked early along with a few from another class. We are the top scores in mostly everything and are now graduating. Kaito's small hand reached out for my short black dress gripping it tight, I tend to hate that but I let him.
He was the youngest here.
He started to place us in group's.
I was terrified filled with anxiety I almost could not breath as I tried so hard to be the brave person I needed to be, my eye's scanning the people called.
"Your one of two girls." I looked next to me at the short young boy that still stuck to my side, that made me glance around and again, he was right. "I hope we get together, been next to you all year."
"Ya, you have been my stalker." I tried to joke but it came out dark. Sadness crossed his face and dropped his hand looking at the floor. I reached out and grabbed the poor kids hand tightly in mine, he looked up at me with shock and care. "We got this."
He was a smart kid but so young.
He called out our names together making him smile up at me, then he called the Uchiha from our class to join us. I felt safe, he was from an amazing clan and pretty skilled physically. His dark eye's looked our way but I was glad he was on our team.
"Congratulations Genin, you are now Shinobi."
He walked to and out the door as we all stood there quietly, after a moment in walked four people.
"Team five." A small teen in a full blue jumpsuit with dark glasses and almost buzzed hair called out. The kid did not move as I followed Uchiha, I looked back and lightly pulled him. He nodded at us to follow him out and we started to just walk around the town. We headed up some stairs to an open area with booth like seats.
One of the more higher places in the village. The colorful roofs could be seen from here, people moving around below not far from the shopping district. We all took a seat on the small bench in wait.
"We are here to protect this wonderful place and these important people." He finally spoke with a high voice that shocked me, his look did not match it. "We will be sent out tomorrow afternoon, so you have time to say your goodbye's to your family and friends." He had this doomed tone to his voice making me nervous and Kaito grabbed my dress again.
"Konohagakure needs us." His tone now sounded important. "Let's get to know each other, I am not a teacher I am your leader. You can call me Naruhito Sensei."
He started to say something's about himself, his hobbies and like's as Kaito leaned in. "Why do we call him Sensei if he is not a teacher?" He whispered in my ear making me smile and the Uchiha make a small noise, Naru stopped talking and glared.
"I am your elder, you will respect me." He almost yelled making us sit there blankly. "Fine, you know your names, you were in the same class, got something to say?" He looked between us angry but we did not speak. "Then, I will see you tomorrow at the gate come one pm, don't be late and be ready. Stupid Kids." He handed us a small paper with what we needed to grab, stood up and jumped down from the third floor and was just gone as we sat there.
"That was informative." I sighed.
We sat there awkwardly for a moment before we stood up and split up back home without a word but a few unsure glances.
I sat down at the Yamanaka personal graveyard next to the small stone with the name of my mother on it. "Looks like I am going to war." I sighed. "I might just see you soon."
"Don't think like that or you will see her soon." I heard a kind voice making me nod not looking at the teen boy, his long blonde hair in the famous ponytail. He came and sat next to me. "It is to bad you were born out of the normal cycle, to not be apart of the main formation."
"Ya."
"Without the other two clans it is hard for us to fight, being so physically weaker."
I nodded looking down feeling so many emotions.
"Why not tell anyone your leaving?"
"No one really cares." I said sadly on the verge of crying. "No one cared for my mother." I said a little angry, so many emotions going through me.
"Don't whine." He spoke coldly. "You are a soldier now." I nodded blanking my face. "Your mother could not even tell anyone who your father was, she was treated the way she should be." He stood up. "You have the Ino name, make your clan proud or be just like her." He stood up and walked off.
Once he was gone I started to cry, yelling at myself to stop in my head as he was right and I am a shinobi now but I could not stop the small sniffle and slow tears. Why was I chosen, it is not like I can do many jutsu's.
I felt so alone and scared.
My backpack bounced on my back as I pulled the straps farther to make it stop as we bounded through the tree's not alone as the other teams ran with us heading for the front lines.
It was quiet like a dark cloud was over us, we passed a few hurt or just dirty Shinobi heading home for a break.
Naruhito Sensei look at me funny before he slid closer as we ran not stopping, tightening the straps with an eye roll to stop the bouncing making me look at my feet as I jumped embarrassed.
It was day's to get there. We slept on the ground and I was missing my bed, we ate porridge in the mornings and ran all day with little breaks. At night we had soup that was able to feed us all. After a few day's barely stopping my legs cried out but I tried not to be that person and pushed on.
It was loud as I nervously walked into the large settlement. Many tent's around hidden in the tree's. The smell was the worst, mostly dirty men, blood, metal. We passed some women sharpening swords and kunai next to a large open tent filled with many different weapons.
Passing a medical tent where two men sat, one was missing a leg and the other was covered in so much blood I was unsure if it was even his my feeling a little nauseous.
"We got more fodder." I heard to my left as I peered at a few chunin vested older teens staring at this large group of kids and then I heard a small dark chuckle. That did not help me from feeling like I could be sick, the anxiety filling me, I was almost in a panic, again.
There was not many people our age. Dirty, smelly and serious men and a few women.
We came to a large tent, a few dirty looking blankets on the grassy ground below.
"This is where you all will stay." From some man as we walked into the tent. "Put your stuff down and accept it, you wont have beds here." I walked in and dropped my backpack on the ground along with the other three teams.
"All of us in here we will be like a pile of puppies." I looked at the white haired boy from my class.
"I call the corner." Some loud yellow haired kid tossed his bag. "No one come near me." He sat down with a pout on his face. He then grabbed one of the old blankets and laid it down placing his own blanket we were told to bring over top of it looking like an asshole.
"I doubt we will be hanging in here a lot, idiot." Some random boy smeared.
"The only ones sleeping close to cuddle me will be the girls."
"We don't want that." I said to him a small agreement from the only other girl.
"Ya, we all sleep here." Someone jumped on the blonde in a pile as they wrestled making a leader yell a them, the look on everyone's face was shame at being yelled at.
Good first impression.
