Tale of the Dragon Sorceress
(This is the story of Zelena Dragneel, the younger twin sister of Zeref Dragneel, and older sister of Natsu. After her parents and Natsu were killed by dragons, Zelena is accidently separated from her twin brother Zeref and ends up being found and taken in by the Nature Dragon Foresta who raised the young girl and even teaches her Nature Dragon Slayer Magic.
Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail, all canon characters belong to Hiro Mashima. I just own my OC's Zelena and Foresta.
Here's a little info about Zelena:
Zelena Dragneel - She has long wavy black hair that she usually keeps up in a ponytail, and chocolate brown eyes.
Magic: Nature Dragon Slayer Magic, Transformation Magic, Telepathy, Enchant Magic
Outfit: She usually dresses like a stereotypical witch, which consists of just a simple dark purple witch dress with small triangular slits at the ends and wide flowing sleeves, but minus the witch hat.
Personality: She's spunky and adventurous, and more outgoing than her twin brother Zeref. Though she also has a tendency to be feisty at times. And she can also have a bit of a temper at times such as after she finally reunites with Zeref, and becomes absolutely livid with him after learning that he had become cursed after tampering with life and death in order to try to find a way to revive Natsu. Though she is still happy to see her little brother alive again and remains kind and caring towards Natsu as she vows to always look after him until he becomes old enough to take care of himself.
Backstory: The twin sister of Zeref Dragneel, Zelena accidently ended up getting separated from her twin brother when the dragons killed their family. Now on her own, she grieves for her family, especially her baby brother Natsu who was still very young and had barely begun to live. She soon ends up being found and taken in by the Nature Dragon Foresta who looks after her for a while. Even though she ended up developing a fear of dragons after losing her family, Zelena eventually comes to view the dragon as a second mother, and Foresta even ends up teaching her Nature Dragon Slayer Magic.

Scales: She has earth-colored camouflage scales that allow her to blend in with nature.
Magic: Nature Dragon Slayer Magic
Personality and backstory: Foresta is the daughter of Aldoron the Wood Dragon God. But she doesn't agree with the way her father views all life for him to absorb as nourishment, and therefore neither of them get along with each other.
She has a kind motherly personality and has no hatred for humans. She found young Zelena one day after the poor girl was orphaned when her parents and little brother Natsu were killed by dragons, and also accidently ended up being separated from her twin brother Zeref. So Foresta took her in and raised her, and began teaching her Nature Dragon Slayer Magic, as well as occasionally helping her look for her brother.

Prologue
A little girl with shoulder length black hair pulled up into two cute pigtails, and chocolate brown eyes, could be seen wandering scared and alone throughout Fiore. Her parents and baby brother Natsu had been killed by dragons, and she somehow accidently ended up getting separated from her twin brother Zeref who she was actually looking for right at this very moment as she was wandering around by herself. Tears were spilling from her eyes as she had no luck finding him so far, as she was unaware that Zeref had ended up going to become a student the Mildian Magic Academy in order to research life and death and find a way to bring Natsu back to life which she would soon be in for a big shock at finding out way later on but not just yet as of right now.
"Brother?!" young Zelena Dragneel called out. She sniffled. "Zeref... where are you?"
Meanwhile, she was unaware that she was being watched curiously by a pair of deep forest green eyes nearby. This pair of eyes happened to belong to the Nature Dragon Foresta, daughter of the Wood Dragon God Aldoron. Of course, she's not even on good terms with her father and has a strong hatred for him because of how he views all life as nourishment for him to absorb which she doesn't agree with, and thus she lives as far away from him as possible just to avoid having to see his face in her life. Foresta bore no hatred for humans, provided they left her alone, while humans also usually never entered her domain to bother her anyway. But this human child intrigued her, though she had a feeling that the girl wouldn't find her missing brother this close to a dragon's territory.
Revealing her greenish earth-colored camouflage scales as she slightly stepped out into the open, the Nature Dragon decided to make her presence known after seeing the girl sit down against a tree with tears still in her eyes. Foresta slowly began to approach her while making sure not to accidently startle her or scare her off in the process.
"Are you lost, little one?" the dragon spoke in a kind gentle voice to get her attention.
Zelena sniffled. "I-I got separated from my brother..." She looked up and gasped in surprise at seeing who spoke to her. "Y-You're... you're a... d-dragon..."
Foresta smiled warmly. "That I am, little one. But you needn't fear me, for not all dragons are evil and known to attack humans without mercy. Some of us bear no hatred towards humans and prefer to be left in peace," she explained to ease the little girl's fear.
Zelena began wiping the tears from her eyes. "So you're a good dragon then?"
Foresta nodded. "Yes. Now then. What is your name, child?" she asked the girl gently.
"Z-Zelena. Zelena Dragneel," Zelena replied as she found herself gazing up at the dragon curiously.
Foresta smiled kindly. "A pretty name. I am the Nature Dragon Foresta. So what's a sweet human child like you doing out here by yourself?" the Nature Dragon then asked her again gently as she assumed the girl's family must be wondering where she is.
"Um, well... y-you see...," Zelena started to explain as more tears threatened to spill from her eyes, "M-My family was killed by bad dragons, and I got separated from my twin brother Zeref... But I know at least he's still alive somewhere."
"I see... Well I don't think you'll find your brother anywhere in my territory... but if you'd like, I could help you look for him," Foresta gently offered.
Zelena blinked and nodded. "O-Ok," she replied timidly.
Foresta smiled and crouched down as low as she could to the girl's level for her to climb on, though Zelena just looked a little nervous at the thought of actually riding a dragon. "It's alright, little one. As I said, you have nothing to fear," the Nature Dragon gently assured her.
Zelena hesitantly began climbing up onto the dragon's back, with Foresta helping her out by lifting her up the rest of the way so that the girl was now sitting securely between the Nature Dragon's shoulder blades.
"Hold on tight now, Zelena," Foresta then told her gently.
Zelena gulped nervously from up on the dragon's back. "Uh-huh...," she said as she held on.
Foresta soon opened up her wings, which were a slightly darker shade of green than her scales with leaf patterns on them, as she took off into the sky.
Zelena gasped in surprise and shut her eyes tightly as she continued to hold on.
Foresta continued to fly higher into the sky, albeit at a slow pace so the girl on her back could take her time getting used to riding on the back of a dragon. It wasn't long before Zelena slowly started to open her eyes, despite still being a little afraid at the same time, as she started to find herself enjoying the feel of the wind in her hair as she rode on the Nature Dragon's back. She glanced back down towards the ground below her curiously as she began looking for any signs of her brother.
"Brother, where are you?" she called out worriedly, as the Nature Dragon continued to fly over Fiore.
Foresta felt her heart go out to the poor girl, as the dragon knew she would also have to give her a place to stay if she was unsuccessful in finding her brother today.
"Zelena, how would you like to come live with me for a while until we find your brother? And if you'd like, I can also teach you magic," she offered.
Zelena looked curious. "What kind of magic?"
"Nature Dragon Slayer Magic," Foresta replied.
Zelena looked a bit hesitant for a moment at hearing that it was called Dragon Slayer Magic, as she took a moment to think about it. She didn't really have any interest in slaying dragons, though she was curious about the idea of learning magic.
She finally nodded after a while. "Ok. As long as I don't have to actually s-slay any dragons," she agreed nervously.
Foresta chuckled slightly. "No need to worry, little one. While it's true that that's where Dragon Slayer Magic gets its name, you don't necessarily have to use it to actually slay dragons," she gently reassured the girl.
"Well, ok then," Zelena replied in relief that she didn't actually have to slay any dragons. She tilted her head curiously. "So when can we start?"
Foresta smiled. "Well, I would like to give you a couple of days to rest a bit after what you've been through. And then we'll start soon with your training. Does that sound alright with you?"
Zelena nodded. "Yeah," she agreed.
"Well then, let's take a couple more hours to look for your brother before heading back to my home," Foresta suggested, as she continued flying after the girl nodded.
After another couple more hours spent flying on Foresta's back, Zelena was soon exhausted from the long day she had after what she had been through and soon found herself starting to nod off after a while. Foresta noticed as she began flying back to her home for the night.
The Nature Dragon's home was in a beautiful lush forest surrounded by nature. There were other animals that made the forest their home as well, magical and non-magical alike, that also lived in peace here with Foresta. She landed down inside the forest next to a cave that was her home, before carefully scooping the sleeping girl up with her wing while being careful not to wake her as she put a little nest made of leaves and grass together for her before gently laying the girl down on it.
"Sweet dreams, little one," Foresta said softly as she let Zelena continue to sleep, though she remained nearby to watch over her...
Welp, that's it for this chapter. This is just more of an introduction chapter just to show and explain how Zelena was found and taken in by the Nature Dragon Foresta. The main story for Zelena will begin in the next chapter after the Dragon Slayers end up in the year x777, which will give her a chance to be badass and have some adventures in the year x777 before actually getting into the beginning of the canon storyline where Lucy first joins Fairy Tail.
