As Mina padded down the halls of the Heights Alliance, using the dim light of her phone to navigate, she had to physically restrain herself from humming a sneaking song. It was just so tempting! She rarely had an opportunity to sneak around, and such occasions demanded musical accompaniment!

Unfortunately it was a little past one in the morning so the entire dorm was dead quiet, and several of her classmates were light sleepers, so she couldn't risk it. If she got caught now, she would have quite a lot of explaining to do, and she didn't have time for that if she wanted to keep her appointment.

The truth was, Mina was sneaking her way up to the rooftop for a romantic rendezvous with her boyfriend to go stargazing. There was a once in a century meteor shower happening that night, and Izuku had invited her to come watch it with him, curfew be damned!

It was a setup straight out of every romance magazine that Mina had ever read, and it was so perfectly adorable that Mina just about melted in happiness every time she thought about it. Ever since Izuku had told her about his plan, Mina had needed to fight to keep from telling everyone all about it. She'd almost slipped up several times, to the point where she was pretty sure Hagakure and Tsuyu knew that something was going down. Even they didn't know what it was, however, so Mina was safe to go sneaking up the stairwell to meet Izuku on the small sitting area located on the dorm roof, which she did as fast as she dared.

The night air was chilly against her skin, but she had come prepared with an extra large fluffy comforter to wrap herself (and hopefully Izuku!) up in. It kept her nice and cozy, even if it did make it a bit harder to move around.

But Mina wasn't really focused on that. She was far more captivated by the sight of Izuku waiting for her, in short and a t-shirt helpful labeled "pajamas",his hands cupped around a steaming mug of something and a small electric lantern sitting on the ground next to him. He was wrapped up in a blanket just like she was, but his looked significantly less cozy.

His face lit up into a smile when he saw her approaching, and Mina felt a grin of her own pop up to match it. There were many things that she loved about her boyfriend, but the way that he never failed to smile when he saw her was near the top of the list. Even when he was completely distracted by some problem, the moment he noticed her coming his way he seemed to light up. It was continual proof that Mina's feelings were reciprocated in the way she had always dreamed of and she loved him completely for it.

Mina waited until she was just within striking distance before launching herself bodily at Izuku, completely forgetting about the drink that he was holding. That caused her heart to skip a beat mid-air, but she was already committed at that point.

In a flash Izuku reached out and caught her with one hand, not even spilling a drop of his drink as he effortlessly maneuvered her down until she was lying on the ground looking up at him. It was times like this that she remembered he could heft an entire fridge with relative ease when he wanted to.

"Hi," Mina said playfully, wiggling until she was draped across his lap.

"Hey," Izuku returned, only stuttering a little. He was eternally brave in the face of villains, and unflinching when it came to pain, but he had never quite gotten over his shyness when it came to girls despite Mina giving him plenty of exposure therapy.

"I missed you," Mina said.

Izuku laughed at that. "Mina, we just had dinner together. And we studied for an hour and a half right after that."

"Studying doesn't count!" Mina said mulishly. "You make me think too hard, so I can't focus on spending time with you. And dinner was hours ago! That's way too long to go without cuddle time!"

She held her arms up to demand a hug, and after a moment Izuku obliged her. As he did, Mina felt all of her stress begin to melt away. Cuddle time was good for that, so Mina was sure to get plenty of it whenever she could.

Sadly, the hug didn't last very long. Izuku was basically bent over double, and he wasn't nearly as flexible as she was. After just a few moments he winced in pain and pulled back from the hug. Mina let him go with only a small pout of disappointment.

She was quickly distracted when Izuku reached over and grabbed another insulated mug to hand to her. Inside was the most delicious hot chocolate that Mina had ever tasted in her life. It was smooth, rich, and delectably warm as she gulped it down greedily. If not for Izuku placing a hand on her shoulder to get her attention, she might have just chugged the whole thing without a second thought.

"Don't forget to take a breath," Izuku cautioned.

"No!" Mina declared, "Chocolate is more important than air right now!"

She downed another few gulps while Izuku was busy shaking his head at her statement. He probably thought she was exaggerating, but Mina was dead serious. She would happily die drowning in this heavenly liquid if it meant she never had to stop drinking it.

Despite her deepest desires, the hot chocolate did eventually run out. No matter which way she tipped the mug or how much she shook it, not a single drop was left to be found.

She whined piteously, turning to face Izuku with the best puppy-dog eyes that she could manage. He got the message, passing his own mug over to her with only a little hesitation.

"I love you," Mina declared, draining his mug just as quickly as she had done with her own.

"Me, or the hot chocolate?" Izuku asked.

"Both!" she said happily.

She snuggled up to him, wrapping her blanket around their shoulders as best she could with only one arm. Izuku shuffled closer to her as well, wrapping his arm around her waist so they were pressed up against each other in the cozy warmth.

"I love you too," he whispered.

His tone left no doubt that those words were for her, and her alone. They sent a shiver down her spine even as a burst of warmth ignited inside her. It dwarfed the warmth from the hot chocolate in an instant, heating her all the way from the tips of her horns to the depths of her heart. And, best of all, this warmth wasn't going away no matter how much she drank in. In fact, it only seemed to grow stronger the longer she and Izuku were together.

She wiggled happily, then grabbed Izuku by the chin and gave him a passionate kiss. He jerked in surprise, but quickly relaxed into it. He was slowly getting used to her way of expressing her affection for him, just like she was doing the same. Though she still thought her way was a lot more fun!

They broke apart after a moment, but stayed huddled together under the blanket, and turned their heads up to look at the stars.

The view was fine, if not especially breathtaking. There was a lot of light pollution (a subject Mina now knew lots about thanks to Izuku helping with her schoolwork), which meant they could only see the brightest stars in the sky. Those few they could see, though, were twinkling merrily away as Mina let her mind drift in happy thoughts.

When the first glowing streak appeared in the sky, she almost missed it. The meteor was gone in a moment, but Mina's eyes caught the last glimmers of its path as she gasped in wonder. More meteors followed after it, streaking across the sky on trails of fire.

It really was a once in a lifetime sight, and Mina found herself completely transfixed. She understood why Izuku had said this was a once in a lifetime event, and why he'd been willing to sneak out to watch this. It was absolutely worth it.

"Did you make a wish?" Izuku asked.

Mina giggled. There were enough shooting stars passing overhead for a hundred wishes, if she cared to make one. But at that moment, she couldn't think of a single thing that she wanted.

"Nah," she said, "I already have everything I could ever wish for."

Author's Note: The idea for this mugged me out of nowhere a few weeks back, and I actually managed to stay motivated long enough to get it written out. Not happy with it for multiple reasons, but I at least wanted to put something out as proof that I'm alive.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have an excellent day.
