Episode 2:Audrey Takes The Stage
On a bright sunny morning at Royal Woods Elementary School Lily and Audrey are walking down the hallway. "so, you want to go to the mall after school?" asked Audrey. Just then the pa system goes off. "attention students tryouts for the school talent show start this afternoon," said voice. "oh, that sounds like fun," said Audrey. "yeah," said Lily.
"you know maybe I should sign up," said Audrey. "yeah, sure you're an amazing performer," said Lily. "how about you Lily maybe you should sign up to," said Audrey. "um no I'm an artist not a performer," said Lily. "well will you at least come with me to give moral support?" asked Audrey. "yeah of course," said Lily. Lily and Audrey went to the signup sheet and Audrey signed up. "you nervous?" asked Lily.
"maybe a little," said Audrey. "you should be nervous," said a voice. Lily and Audrey turned and saw a girl around their age with silky chestnut brown hair wearing a bright yellow T-shirt and bright blue designer jeans. "oh, hey Monica," said Lily annoyed. "oh sweet, sweet Audrey do you really think you have a chance against me for first prize?" asked Monica. "why do you care?" asked Audrey. "oh, I just think it's cute your actually trying," said Monica. Lily got upset and marched up to Monica. "yeah, well last time I checked anyone can sign up," said Lily.
"yeah, well we'll see who gets first prize,' said Monica as she left. "if that little brat thinks she's going to win she's got another thing coming," said Audrey. "yeah, but um what are you going to do for your talent?" asked Lily. "I don't know," said Audrey. "then we need to figure out your talent if you're going to win," said Lily. later at the loud house Lily and Audrey were in the living room. "ok we need to find the right talent for you," said Lily. "right where do we start?" asked Audrey. "I don't know but the talent show is this Saturday, so we need to start thinking," said Lily.
"right let's get started," said Audrey. Lily and Audrey were in the backyard with Lily holding a clipboard and Audrey holding a baton in her hand. "ok I bought a lot of stuff from a hobby shop first up Baton twirling," said Lily. Audrey starts twirling the baton, but it slips from her hand and hits Lily on the head. Lily rubbed her forehead and Audrey ran up to her. "oh, sorry Lily," said Audrey. "ok that one didn't work out," said Lily crossing baton twirling off the list. "so now what?" asked Audrey. "now we try something else," said Lily. later Lily and Audrey were in the living room and Audrey was wearing tap shoes. "ok tap dancing another classic," said Lily. Audrey starts tap dancing when she trips on her feet, landing on Lily. "hmm sorry Lily," said Lily. Lily sighs and checks tap dancing off the list. "let's try something else," said Lily. Lily and Audrey try juggling but Audrey drops the balls and they hit Lily on the head and Lily checks it off the list.
Lily and Audrey were in the kitchen and Audrey was holding a ventriloquist dummy with a fancy suit and top hat. "ok how about we try ventriloquism that seems to work for Luan," said Lily. "right," said Audrey. "hey Happy Hank, what do you get if you when you cross a werewolf with a teacher?" said Audrey, starting a joke. Audrey picks up a glass of water and starts drinking it but the she chokes on it and spits it out on lily's face. "oh sorry," said Audrey as she handed Lily a paper towel. Lily sighs and wipes her face. "well, that didn't work out," said Lily. "what next?" asked Audrey. "I don't know," said Lily.
just then Lola walked in the house and saw Lily and Audrey. "hey what are you two doing?" she asked. "oh, hey Lola," said Lily. "hey maybe Lola can help us," said Audrey. "yeah, that's a good idea," said Lily. "help you with what?" asked Lola, confused. "Audrey signed up for the school talent show and we're trying to figure out what talent she could do," said Lily. "oh really," said Lola. "hey Lola, can you help us out?" asked Lily. "sure, I'd be happy to help," said Lola.
Lily ran up and hugged Lola squealing happily. "thanks Lola," said Lily. Later Lily, Audrey and Lola were in Lily's room thinking about something Audrey could do as a talent. "ok we need to think of something dazzling for Audrey to do," said Lola. "well, we've gone through a few of the classics," said Lily. "let me see," said Lola. Lily handed Lola the list and Lola looked over it. "ok I think I know something you can try," said Lola.
"really what?" asked Audrey. "and old classic from my pageants days ribbon dancing," said Lola. "really?" said Lily surprised. "yeah, it's always a crowd pleaser," said Lola. "let's try it out," said Audrey. Lola went to her room and grabbed her old ribbon wand and gave it to Audrey. "ok show me what you got," said Lola. Audrey starts twiring the ribbon wand and dancing when she tripped and the ribbon wand fell out of her hand and hit lily on the head. "ow," said Lily annoyed. "sorry Lily," said Audrey. "hmm ok this will be harder than I thought," said Lola. "you have any other ideas, Lola?" asked Lily. "well maybe we should try something a little simpler," said Lola. "you mean like singing?" asked Lily. "sure, that could work," said Lola. "yeah, I can try that," said Audrey. Lily, Audrey and Lola went to Karaoke-Dokie Lily and Lola sat at a table while Audrey was on stage. "good luck Audrey," said Lily. Audrey took the mike and scrolled through songs in the playlist. "ok how about one of Luna's songs?" Audrey asked. "fine," said Lily. Audrey picks up the microphone.

"ok stop," said Lily interrupting. "what did you think?" asked Audrey. "it was amazing," said Lily. "yeah, you are pretty talented singer," said Lola. "do you think I'm ready for the talent show?" asked Audrey. "I think so but I think you need something to spice up your act," said Lola.
"like what?" asked Audrey. "yeah, like what?" asked Lily. later at Reininger's Lola was going through dresses. "are you sure this is necessary Lola?" asked Lily. "sure, if Audrey's going to win, she needs to stand out," said Lola. "I don't know about this," said Audrey. "trust me I know what I'm doing," said Lola. "well ok," said Audrey. Audrey browses through the selection and sees a bright red dress with trim lace. "oh, I like this one," Audrey. Lola and Lily looked at the dress Audrey was staring at. "wow it's beautiful," said Lily. Lola just stared at the dress. "hmm I don't know," said Lola unsure. "what do you mean Lola It would look great on Audrey," said Lily. Lola looks at the dress. "hmm maybe," said Lola. "come on Lola it's totally Audrey's color," said Lily. "yeah, that's true Audrey try it on to be sure," said Lola. "right," said Audrey. Audrey took the dress and went to the dressing room. Lily and Lola waited outside the dressing room when Audrey came out wearing the dress.
"wow Audrey you look amazing," said Lily. "thanks Lily," said Audrey. "well Lola what do you think now?" asked Lily. "she looks stunning," said Lola. "so, we can get it?" asked Lily. "yeah ok," said Lola. After Audrey changed back into her original clothes, she, Lola and Lily went to the checkout and bought the dress. "ok so what song are you going to perform at the show?" asked Lily. "I'm not sure I mean I guess I could try another one of Luna's songs but maybe I should try something else," said Audrey. "you think so?" asked Lily.
"yeah, maybe what do you think Lola?" asked Audrey. "well, whatever you do just remember to make it dazzling," said Lola. "right," said Audrey. Later that afternoon Lily was sketching in her room when suddenly her phone rang. Lily picked up her phone. "hello," said Lily. "hey Lily," said Audrey.
"Audrey what is it?" asked Lily. "I'm just thinking maybe I should try another song at the Karaoke-Dokie," said Audrey. "now?" asked Lily. "yeah, please I really need the help," said Audrey. 'ok, I'm on my way," said Lily. "thanks Lily." said Audrey. Later at The Karaoke-Dokie Lily and Audrey were going through songs in the playlist. "what exactly are you looking for?" asked Lily.
"I'm not sure but I'll know it when I see it," said Audrey. Audrey kept scrolling through songs in the playlist. "let's see oh how about this one?" asked Audrey. "huh one of Alisa's songs," said Lily. "yeah, what do you think?" asked Audrey. "ok go ahead," said Lily. Audrey grabs the mike and looks out at the stage at the crowd. Suddenly Audrey got sweaty. "you ok Audrey?" asked Lily. "yeah, it's just there's a lot more people here than last time," said Audrey nervously. "just take a deep breath you'll be fine," said Lily. Audrey took a deep breath but the words wouldn't come out. Audrey gulped and Lily got a worried look on her face. "ok how about we try again later," said Lily. Lily and Audrey walk off the stage and go outside. "Audrey what happened out there?" asked Lily. "I don't know I just got a major case of stage fright," said Audrey. "well, we need to get past it I'll call Lola," said Lily. later back at the Loud House. Lily, Lola and Audrey were in Lily's room talking about what happened. "I don't know what happened when I saw all those people my mind just went blank," said Audrey. "yep, that's a textbook case of stage fright," said Lola. "what do we do?" asked Lily. "yeah, the talent show is this weekend," said Audrey.
"don't worry this is a small problem," said Lola. "you have an idea?" asked Lily. "I think Audrey just needs practice," said Lola. "maybe but where can I find a place to practice?" asked Audrey. "I think I know a place," said Lily. Lily, Audrey and Lola went to The Burnt Bean. "ok Audrey you ready?" asked Lily. "are you sure this will work?" asked Audrey unsure. "yeah of course it will Luna used to perform here all the time," said Lily. "yeah, but my heart is racing like crazy," said Audrey. "you just need to take some deep breaths," said Lily. "ok I'll do it if you think it can help," said Audrey still a little unsure.
"get up there your up," said Lola. Audrey got on the stage and stared at the crowd. Audrey got nervous but saw Lily and Lola at a table and Lily mouthed breath. Audrey took a deep breath and took the microphone. "ok Audrey you ready?" asked Lily. "are you sure this will work?" asked Audrey unsure. "yeah of course it will," said Lily.
"get up there your next," said Lola. Audrey got on the stage and stared at the crowd. Audrey got nervous but saw Lily and Lola at a table and Lily mouthed breath. Audrey took a deep breath and took the microphone.

Audrey put down the mic. The crowd clapped and Audrey left the stage. Lily ran up and hugged Audrey. "you were amazing girl," said Lily. "thanks Lily," said Audrey. "well, I think you're ready for the talent show," said Lola. "really?" said Audrey. "yeah, if you're up for it," said Lola. "you bet I am," said Audrey. that Saturday night Audrey was backstage in the auditorium of Royal Woods Elementary wearing the red dress she got at Reininger's and just then Lily came backstage.
"you, ok?" asked Lily. Audrey looked out to the auditorium and saw a packed house and she saw her parents and Lily's family in the crowd. "I hope I'm ready for this," said Audrey a little nervous. "you are I know it," said Lily. "I can't believe you actually showed up," said a voice. Lily and Audrey turn and see Monica with a smug smirk. "I mean do you even have a talent?" said Monica smugly. "don't listen to her," said Lily. Monica looks over her dress. "wow nice dress," said Monica. "um thanks Monica," said Audrey. "even if it is a tacky color," said Monica. Audrey and Lily get angry looks on their faces "well just you wait I'm going to take you down," said Audrey angrily. "yeah, right in your dreams," said Monica walking away. "so, you ready?" asked Lily. "yeah, I'm totally ready," said Audrey. Lily and Audrey watched the other kids perform then Monica went on stage and started her gymnastic act with cartwheels then she grabbed a high bar and spun around landing on the stage. The crowd applauded as Monica left the stage and passed Lily and Audrey. "top that loser," said Monica. Audrey started getting nervous when suddenly Lily put her hands on Audrey's shoulders. "don't worry you've got this," said Lily. Audrey smiled. "thanks Lily you know I think I know the perfect song to sing," said Audrey. Audrey takes the stage and grabs the mike and looks out to the crowd. Audrey was getting nervous buts looks backstage at lily signaling her to take a deep breath. Audrey looks back at the crowd and takes a breath.

The crowd roared with applause; Audrey smiled and saw Lola giving her a thumbs up from the crowd. Felling proud of herself Audrey took a bow and went backstage. Lily ran up to Audrey and gave her a big hug. "you did great I knew you could do it," said Lily. "thanks Lily," said Audrey. Monica suddenly came up to them with a smug smirk. "not bad for a screeching barn owl," she said. Audrey glared at Monica but Lily grabbed her shoulder. "ignore her," said Lily. Audrey nodded. Just then a teacher walked up on stage. "hey, they're announcing the winner," said Lily. "and the winner is," the teacher started as Lily, Audrey and Monica looked on with interest. "Audrey," said the teacher. "what," said Monica in shock. "Audrey, you did it," said Lily. Audrey goes out to the stage as the crowd cheered while Lily and Monica watched. "I can't believe this," said Monica annoyed. "tough break huh Monica," said Lily with a smug smirk. Monica walks away in a huff. Lily looked back to the stage and saw Audrey taking the award and started clapping with a proud smile on her face.
