"Remember we're just going to look and get ideasfor the letters to a certain gift-giver." Groot said
"Yeah we know mommy, but you know how the toy-store makes us." Rocket told him yawning.
It was almost Winter now and near Grootmas season so Groot was taking the toddler-Guardians to the toy-store to get ideas for what they wanted for Grootmas, only because he'd be asleep during Grootmas, Rocket didn't feel like writing a letter het he was excited about visiting the toy-store but Groot was setting up expectations seeing them holding hands, because he'd taught them the buddy-system so they wouldn't get lost only something caught Rocket's eye a blue-skinned warrior girl stuffie that looked like Nebula
"Hey you're right, she does look like you, without your hair." Mantis said to Nebula seeing her smile.
"Go explore, I'll be there soon." Groot told them, but after they'd went off, he put that stuffie in the basket as he was helping Santa especially when it came to Rocket because he hibernated hearing giggling guessing Drax had found the crazy, sensory-overloading toys knowing Rocket wouldn't be happy if this happened but saw the kids returning after a bit getting ideas but were leaving after a bit, but at home they were working on their letters only Rocket wasn't which Nebula understood getting an idea, adding to her letter, asking a certain gift giver to bring Rocket toys as well even though he'd be asleep. When Groot was checking on them and seeing their letters, he was impressed by Nebula's knowing she was being thoughtful ruffling her midnight-blue hair gently making her smile.
"I didn't want him to be left out, just because he'll be asleep during the holidays and judging by his yawns, it'll be soon." she told him.
"I know but how are you feeling aboht this." Groot replied to her softly.
"A bit bummed out because we all love hanging out together and playing and that Rockie won't be with us until Spring which was why he didn't wrife a letter." she replied to him sniffling
"I know honey but he has to, to make it through Winter but he'll wake up in Spring but yeah, we'll miss him during Grootmas but he'll still get presents when he wakes up." Groot replied to her plus they'd be getting check-ups and their flu shots but hadn't told them that part.
"Yeah, you have a point, mommy." Nebula said.
"You ready for your Winter nap, Rocket as you were yawning, while we were at the toy-store." Nebula asked Rocket.
It was later the next day but the toddler-Guardians had gotten their check-ups butalso their flu shots which had involved crying and Groot comforting them seeing them rubbing their arms, but Rocket was stroking one of Nebula's midnight-blue braids which she didn't mind as he was being gentle which Drax didn't understand when he did this but it was a sensory thing which Groot understood.
"Uh-huh, and sorry I was yawninga lot Nebula." he told her grinning.
"Yeah, Mommy and I talked about it, when he saw my letter." Nebula said. He and the toddler-Guardians were unaware of Herbert staring at them, especially Rocket but the toddler-raccoon kit had no idea why seeing him talming with Groot making them guess it was boring adult stuff so were having snacks as Groot had grown cacao pods on him which were so sweet, the toddlers loved them so was giving them some, for doingva good job with their check ups and getting their shots making them happily enjoying the treats making Groot chuckle, plus he could make chocolate-milk or hot chocolate for them especialky Rocket
"Mmmmmmmmm, so good, mommy makes awesome treats." Rocket heard Mantis say,
"Uh-huh, you seem to be enjoying it, Rockie." Drax said seeing him nodding enjoying it. " Nebula told him stifling yawns so she wouldn't be sad about him hibernating or preparing to hibernate seeing the others share their worry and Groot was talking to Herbert about brown up stuff so were playing but after Herbert left Planet Groot, Grootvwas telling to them about being brave and why they needed those shots hearing Rocket yawning knowing Rocket would be hibernating soon only Nebula had a plan.
