"I don't think this is a good idea, Nebula." Mantis said, seeing Drax and Gamora nodding after the blue-skinned girl had revealed her plans to stop Rocket from hibernating and miss the fun with them seeing Rocket wondering what was going on. "If it works, then Rocket can have fun with us during the holidays, along with opening presents on Grootmas morning we just can't tell Mommy Groot or Rocket." Nebula replied.
It was now the beginning of Winter and Grootmas would be fast approaching and the toddler-Guardians were excited about this, but sad that Rocket would be hibernating so Nebula had came up with a plan to keep their brother awake only Drax, Gamora and Mantis didn't know that this was a good idea, hearing Rocket yawning but giggling feeling Drax throw a snowball unaware Groot was watching, knowing what Nebula was up to, seeing them doing it until a certain toddler-kit burst out crying. "Guys go keep playing as I want to talk to Nebula and Rocket alone but they're not in trouble as I just want to talk." Groot told Drax, Gamora and Mantis as they ran off to play, thinking Groot was mad at Nebula for trying to keep Rocket from hibernating making Groot sighing turning his attention to Nebula.
"Nebula, you know Rockie has to hibernate to make it through Winter even if we're sad but he'll be back in Spring but maybe you should tuck him in for hibernation." Groot told Nebula, as he was comforting Rocket in his vines which Nebula found sweet, along with his idea. "I know mommy and we might both like that, is Rocket feeling okay now." she said seeing Rocket nodding.
"Let's go then, as mommygave me an idea, about this situation." she told him.
He followed her to his secret den understanding what Groot might've told her, as they climbed inside making Nebula impressed at how cosy it was hearing her brother yawning crawling over to where the blanket and pillow were. "This place's been calling to me the last few days, as my friends started hibernation but it's okay, I understand why you tried keeping me awake." he told her.
"That's good, hey is it my imagination, or is there a gift there." Nebula said as they noticed a giftvwrapped thing near the bed which made them curious. "This is intresting, it's not Grootmas yet, why would Santa give a gift early." Rocket replied to her.
"Maybe Santa knows you're hibernating so wanted you to havecan early gift." Nebula told him seeing him open it in awe as it was the Nebula like stuffie from the toy-store hugging it.
Nebula then saw him lying down, so was tucking him in, but was feeling better kissing his furry head seeing him out like a light beginning hibernation, as she lect the den joining the others hearing them askibg her, if Rocket was okay seeing her nodding hearing Groot asking if they wanted hot chocolate making them happy only Nebula was quiet hoping a certain furboy would be able to sleep, which Groot noticed. "He'll be okay Nebula and yes, Santa gave him a gift early because he knew he sleeps through Winter, he'll get to open the rest of his gifts in Spring, which will give him something to look forward to." he told her.
"Yeah, you're right mommy." she replied to him.
That evening while Drax, Gamora and Mantis were sound asleep in bed, Nebula was lying awake in hers thinking about Rocket knowing he was safe out there and having a good sleep, She'd secided to keep the tree he was hibernating in secret so her sibs wouldn't try to wake him up but was seeing his snack pot slipping out, closing the lid, so Rocket could enjoy them after he woke up from hibernation thinking maybe she could add snacks into it.
Later Thatmorning, Drax, Gamora and Mantis noticed that Nebula was quiet while they were having breakfast sensing it was probably because Rocket had went into hibernation seeing Groot understand asking her if she was alright nodding but after finding blueberries so was putting them in Rocket's snackpot which her sibs were curious about.
"Ohhhhh just a secret project, nothing to worry about." Nebula said tucking some of her hair behind her ear but looking at a certain tree before joining her sibs enjoying hot cocoa despite wishing that Rocket was there to enjoy it with them, pushing those thoughts aside. "Younsure you okay Nebula, thinking about Rocket huh." Gamora told her sister seeing Nebula nodding enjoying hotcocoa. "Yeah sister, just thinking about a certain, furry somebody but we'll see him again in Spring, like mommy Groot told me." she replied to her feeling Gamora's hand on her shoulder.
