Let me be clear.

YOU GUYS, have been awesome! I am still writing fanfiction, and for free, on Questionable Questing and I'm looking for other websites where I can do so without being harassed constantly by hyperpolitical, histrionic assholes as with AO3 and space battles. But ffnet? Yeah, I'm leaving this place and burning all the evidence I was here. But let me tell you the why first.

I'm now being bombarded with reviews promoting child pornography and possibly providing links to such. Yup. Also, other inappropriate guest reviews that seem quite minor in comparison to links that could lead to child pornography. I wouldn't know, I haven't followed them and suggest you don't either.

I used to be able to moderate them, but I still had to read and delete them first, which wasn't fun. Would much rather block all guest reviews, but that feature is gone.

What's worse, is that I no longer get ANY alerts from ffnet. In fact, as I write this on the ffnet editor, right above it in big orange letters is their bullshit about how MY email provider is broken and giving instructions on how to fix it, which I have implemented twice to no avail.

But wait! There's more! Not only am I not getting alerts for reviews, I can only see them on the app. But there is one type of review I can't see on the app. Guest reviews. And I am given only a few days to delete them before they are posted, and once they're posted they're there forever. The first one just got through, and I'm done.

There are more grievances.

Like I said, not getting any email alerts for new favorites, follows or reviews or even private messages(Check yours btw, I often respond to reviews, especially the insightful, interesting or critical ones, the latter of which is often all three of those things. I love you critics so much. Yes, even you.) So that dopamine hit that keeps me writing? Yeah, it's gone.

The biggest one is probably that the analytics are broken. For those of you who don't know, I am given EXHASTIVE data on how many people read my stories, what countries there from, so on and so forth. It is incredibly useful as a measure of what writing reaches people, which loses me viewers and allows me to self-reflect. According to this data, I have received exactly ZERO views on all stories and individual chapters for two months now. In fact, recent chapters that have reviews? Yup. Zero people have apparently read them. If that seems impossible, that's because it is. Now the only feedback for my writing is from reviews and patron feedback, that I constantly beg them for and is like pulling teeth to get out of them.

So yeah. Become a patron or go setup an account on Questionable Questing, which is free. Recommendations for other sites to migrate to are welcome.

Future Plans:

I'm almost finished with the first part of Blood-Soaked Succession. When that is done, I will be focusing entirely on finishing Magic Knows No Boundaries which, sans being bombarded with new commissions, will be finished by Christmas. Or new year's at the latest. After that I will focus exclusively on whatever patrons vote for me to focus on next. Probably Much Deadlier Tournament and Insubordination: For fun and profit, which I would work on simultaneously as cousin stories.

God bless and I hope to see you guys around.
