Louie asks, "How old are they?"
Logan replies, "Steven's 12 and Andy's 11."
Louie responds, "Cool, good to know. I vibe better with younger kids, no offense. You're awesome though."
Logan says, "Thanks, I get it."
After an hour, they head inside.
Saturday morning is sunny and beautiful.
Carlos exclaims, "Beach time! Let's hit the beach!"
Kendall moans, lying on the couch, "Maybe later, dude. Killer headache."
Carlos asks, concerned about Kendall's pain, "Why?"
"I don't know. Maybe it's something I ate." Kendall says.
"I know why your head hurts. You binged hockey vids for 5 hours, forgot to blink. Tried to warn you, but you ignored me. Gave up 'cause I was tired," Logan says.
"Oops, my bad for ignoring you, dude. Must be karma," Kendall says.
"Nah, Kenny, it's not karma. You're good. Take some medicine, drink ice water. You'll be fine," Logan says.
"You always give the best advice Logie," Carlos says.
"That's why he's the smart one," James says.
"I'm feeling really excited today because I have the wonderful opportunity to teach Katie some amazing new skate moves," Logan happily shares with the group, his enthusiasm clearly evident in his voice.
Curiously, James inquires, "Isn't Ms. Knight against it?"
Logan responds reassuringly, "No, actually she's quite supportive. She just wants to ensure that we approach it with caution and prioritize safety."
Carlos adds, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to keeping Katie safe, "We always make the safety of our princesa our top priority."
With a hint of amusement in his voice, Kendall sighs and says, "Go ahead and have a blast! Just make sure Katie wears her helmet. When I remind her, it's a big deal, but when someone else does, it's all good."
Laughing, Logan adds, "She absolutely loves being a little rebel."
"Yeah, that and testing my sanity," Kendall says. "I'm doing my best to make sure her brain stays inside her skull."
Logan is at the skate park, confidently demonstrating a difficult move on the ramp. "Pay attention, Katie, so you'll know what to do," he says. "I'm going to go down the ramp, jump, spin three times, and land perfectly." He flawlessly executes the move and is satisfied with his performance.
"That's awesome, Logan. I want to do it now," Katie says excitedly as she climbs up the ramp.
"Let me fix your helmet first. You know Kendall is all about safety," Logan says, taking it off her head and adjusting the chin strap to make sure it's secure before giving it back to her.
"Hey Logan. Hi Katie," Camille says.
"I didn't expect to see you guys here today."
"I'm teaching Katie a new skateboarding trick," Logan proudly shares.
"That's cool," Camille responds.
"Do you need something?" Logan asks.
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today, but it looks like you're busy," Camille replies.
"We can still hang out. Do you know how to skateboard?" Logan asks.
"Nope, never tried it," says Camille.
"I've got an idea. After Katie's lesson, I'll take you to the store for your own skateboard safety gear. Then, I'll give you a private one-on-one lesson," offers Logan.
"Sure it's not too much trouble? Don't wanna impose on your family time," Camille says.
"Don't worry, in his mind you're already his wife," Katie says, jokingly.
Logan turns all shades of red, mortified by her random statement. Which makes Camille laugh uncontrollably at his reaction.
