Dodger pulled himself off the floor, looking at the chaos inside the KaBlam Comics Shop. Looking at his wrist, he saw what The Witch did to his powers.
The lightning bolt and fire insignia were faded and green.
"I disabled your magic" He remembered what she said.
'If I can't get these powers back, the Dragon Realms are doomed.'
He was brought out of his fears by the sounds of screaming. What he saw, he thought he was in a weird TV show. A familiar TV show.
Grey clay-like creatures were trashing the place. They were Putty Patrolers from Power Rangers. The Hero grits his teeth, charging towards the nearest monster.
"Hey, clay head!"
A Putty look up to see Dodger coming down in the air and tackling it down on the floor. The other Putties turn to the Hero and go to attack him.
With six of the creatures facing him, Dodger glances around and starts to bounce on his toes.
A Putty charge at him and threw a punch. He dodges it with a duck and spin kick at its back, knocking it into another one. Two of them went for a double team clothesline. Dodger fell to the floor, kip up, and stomp them on their chest.
Dodger proceeded to slide on his knees, pasting two creatures, bouncing back on his feet, and hit both of them with his left feet.
The last Putty ran away from the Human. Only to bump into Crash, who knocked it down on the floor from his classic spin attack, followed by his belly flop on the pile of Putties, destroying them.
"Woah. Um, thanks" said Dodger.
The Orange Marsupial didn't say a word. Just gave the Human a smile.
"Crash, there you are" Coco ran over.
"Dodger" Lori ran over to him with a look of concern. "She took Clyde."
"Oh no, Lori. We gotta stop her."
"I can find him" said Lincoln, who lowered down to the floor from flying.
Dodger dropped his jaw. "A real life Superman."
"Superman. Dodger, it's me, Lincoln."
"No way. Lincoln Loud. Wow, you got...swole."
"Swole? I don't know about that. But I can fly." The Loud Son said, hovering off the floor. "I'm just like...Ace Savvy."
"Excuse me!" yelled Lori. "We have a real witch who took someone hostage and we're wasting time!"
"She is right" Coco added. "We don't know what she plans on doing. But, it can't be good."
Lori and Lincoln turn to Dodger, who is looking at his wrist. He looked back at the Siblings and looked down. "I can't do anything. She did something to my powers that it won't work. Something she called disable."
"So...that means" Lincoln's smile grew. "I'm the only one with powers."
"Yeah, which is bad."
Raising an eyebrow, the boy gave a look to the savior of the sleepover. "Jealous?"
Rolling his eyes, Dodger scoffed. "It's not that, Lincoln. You're a young man living every boys fantasy. But, there's a thing called responsibility."
"So, you're saying I'm irresponsible?"
"No. You don't know the risk of having powers."
"I've read a lot of comics to know about saving people."
"ENOUGH!" Lori screamed. "We have a missing child! We need to find him."
Coco went over with her pink tablet. "I have the energy from when she arrived here. We can follow it to her location."
"Good. Come on to our van" Lori said as her and Luna ran out, followed by the others, except Crash, who was having trouble with walking.
Suddenly, he starts to fly out of the shop. He landed back down as the group entered the van known as Vanzilla.
Landing in a graveyard behind a house, The Witch follows a path of magic she felt in the area. A green circle made of magic appear on her right wrist while her left hand carries Clyde, who is tied up in vines.
The green glowed bright in a spot of dirt. Cutting loose the vines, she toss the child on the ground. "Dig."
"Uh-uh, it's dark a-and it's dirt. I-I-I don't want to get my clothes dirty. Plus, it's scary out here. I ju-"
Clyde stops talking when he looks into the green eyes of The Witch. "Be obedient and do what I say."
The brown eyes of Lincoln's Best Friend change into green as he begins to get taller.
The Witch watch as Clyde's shadow covers her body as she smiles at the sight of her creation.
Lori drove with Coco on the passenger side, giving directions. Dodger, Luna, and Lincoln sat behind them while Crash sat in a car seat in the third row.
"So how did this happen?" Lori asked.
Remembering what happened, Dodger put the pieces together. "From when we touched the trophy and when she arrived, her energy or magic made the trophy explode. But the magic went through Lincoln and my body, giving us powers. Well, Lincoln, that is."
Luna turns to the Hero, seeing him rub his right wrist. "I don't about these powers. I did see you kick some butt though."
Thinking about his fight against the Putties, Dodger notice the way he fought them. It was very different from the way he normally fights.
Then, a realization hits him. "I don't know karate. But Zack does..."
Lincoln leaned over, looking at him. "Who's Zack?"
"He's from my favorite show that I used to look at as a kid. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."
"Haven't heard that in a good while" said Lori.
"I know what may have given you those powers."
Everyone except Lori and Crash, who was sleeping in the very back, looked to Coco. She held the tablet for the Oldest Loud Sibling to see.
"I'm Coco Bandicoot, and my big brother back there is Crash Bandicoot. We're from a different dimension where the trophy had our power gem on the top.
"I believe when she arrived, the energy of the gem went through your body, giving you powers."
Dodger nods his head at the theory. "Beats what I said. Other than Lincoln and myself, who else touched the trophy."
"I told Crash to touch it and he was there when it blew up" Coco said, trying to see her brother.
Dodger looked over the row and saw that the Bandicoot had different color limbs that were mechanical while wearing a red and grey outfit with a peach in the middle.
His right arm was blue while the left was yellow. The left foot was purple, and the right foot was green.
"Unless your brother was a half...bandicoot, half robot, then yeah, he changed. Oh, I'm Dodger. Nice to meet you, Coco."
"I'm Lori. Next to Dodger is my sister Luna and my brother Lincoln."
As Vanzilla approached a long trail, everyone looked outside the darkness thanks to either the moonless sky or the tall trees that blocked the light. Going deeper in the woods, there is a huge house.
"She chose a good creepy place to stay" Dodger spoke. "Okay, gameplan: Crash, Coco, and myself. Um, y'all know how to fight right."
"We fought our creator and his monsters four times. We got this" answered the Female Bandicoot.
"Cool. Lincoln, you and your sisters stay in the car in case we don't make it back."
Once again, Lincoln let out a sigh. "Come on, Dodger. I can be helpful with you."
"But who will save your sisters if they're in trouble?" He said, giving the only son a wink before exiting the van.
Lori rolled down the window before the Hero walked past the vehicle. "Dodger, you don't have powers. I don't think you can karate your way against magic."
Digging in his pocket, he gives her a smile as he holds an object. "I think I got something to turn the tide."
The Human Siblings watch the Bandicoots and Dodger walk up to the house.
Meanwhile, in the graveyard, The Witch put on a smile.
"We have guests. Let's show them what a real haunted house is."
Emerging from the ground was a person or a creature that wore a craved pumpkin for a head. It let out a deep chuckle, cracking its knuckles on its hands.
"With pleasure."
