Opening the door to the big house, the creaking echoed through the empty, dark abyss. The only light there was the flashlight from Coco's tablet.
As the three enter, the door slams shut.
Crash cling to Dodger's right arm, shaking with fear. The Human pulled out his phone and called Lori.
"Everything okay, Dodger?"
"Yeah. I saw that there's service on the phone and wanted to keep y'all on the line. In case we need help."
Looking through the main floor, the creepy sounds kept everyone on high alert. The creaking on the wooden floor. The faint child laughter. Howling of a wolf.
Crash, Dodger, and Coco enter a lit room that have blood splatter on the walls and floor.
"It's just what I thought" said Dodger.
"What?" Coco asked.
"This is a haunted house that people use for fun. Normally, there's people here to scare the goers without harm. We haven't encountered any of the workers or the people. Kinda suspicious."
"You don't like my house? It's such disappointing."
Everyone looked around to find the source of the voice. Dodger tightens his fist at who the voice belongs to. "Where is Clyde?!"
"He's being a good boy."
'That's sounds...you know what, not going there' Dodger said in his head. "Why are you here?"
"The world and its habits have always treated me and Witches like we're nothing. They want us to help grow their crops. But when we need their help, they join the mob who wants to kill us."
"I-I'm sorry. Humans are not the best. Back then and even today. But only some are good-hearted. I'm not going to say that I know how you feel. I know one thing; harming innocent people isn't going to change things for the better."
"But it'll make me feel better. These...Humans think they're the only monsters. The real monsters will come out and they'll regret their ways they treated the Sister's of Greenwich. We will bring the eternal night."
Dodger and Coco glance at each other, not liking what they hear. As The Witch continues to speak, the Hero text Lori.
In Vanzilla, she saw the notification and her sister and bro read it.
"This is for Lincoln. Go around to the back of the house and see if he can find The Witch. If she's not there, go inside the house and find the hostages. Free them and return to the car."
"I'll show you what I can do" the Kid said, exiting the van and flying off.
Back inside, outside of the kitchen, Crash saw a light shining down on an object in the middle of the floor. He slowly walks towards it. Getting close, he saw what it was. A cute blue girl doll with red hair, matching her dress.
"Once I find my book, I'll be the only sister in history to break darkness to world" The Witch told Dodger and Coco. "I need a power source. I felt it in our fight, Human. Give it to me and I'll let your kind go."
"And if I don't?" Dodger questioned.
Bursting through the walls of the kitchen, a creature wearing ripped pants, a ripped jean jacket, and a old school hockey mask. Dodger and Coco backed up when they saw the chainsaw in it's hands.
"I don't think that's Dingodile..." Coco said.
"Dingo what?!" Dodger asked.
The Jason Voorhees Monster rev up its weapon, starting it. The doors to the other room and the living room, locking the two from escape.
Coco had a frantic look on her face as her heart rate dropped. "Crash! Crash!"
In the living room, Crash picked up the doll, looking close to its face.
"Boo!"
A scream came out of the Marsupial's mouth as he dropped the toy. She jumped on her feet and jumped behind into the darkness. He turns back to return to the kitchen. But the door was locked.
Biting his metal fingernails, Crash tries to find the doll through the dark room. But he found two arms grabbing and pulling him into the darkness.
In the kitchen, Dodger stood in front of Coco as the chainsaw creature itch closer to them. Looking for a weapon, he saw an emergency case with an axe inside.
"Better than no weapon" he said, kicking the glass and taking out the weapon. "Can you get that door open?"
Working on her tablet, Coco gave him a thumbs up. With a nod, Dodger went to fight the big monster. The two clash weapons, sparks flying at their face.
The monster leaned the chainsaw at the axe that was taking major damage. Dodger put it down and jumped up to kick the monster on the side of its head. He continued by kicking the chainsaw to the floor and hit a drop kick, knocking the creature backward.
"Go down already!" The Hero growled, punching it its masked face.
But it wouldn't as it quickly twisted around and hit the Human in the chest with its crocodile tail. It laugh as Dodger hit the wall next to Coco.
"Any progress?" He asked.
"Nope. I'm just hitting a wall. No pun intended."
"Hah-ouch."
Dodger got up, but the monster grabbed the chainsaw and raised it high at the two. The axe was too far from his grip. He went to push Coco out the way.
In time, a blue translucent wall appeared, and the revving weapon got stuck.
"Woah" said Dodger, who was amazed.
Coco giggled. "It's my Quantum Wall. Now, go get your axe."
Getting back up, Dodger kicks the monster in the head and grabs the axe. The weapon glows purple and changes its appearance into a larger black axe with yellow stripe on the blade.
This brings a smile on the Hero's face. "The Power Axe. It's so badass."
The creature and the Human face off again. The chainsaw was sliced apart. But it returns to normal in its hands.
"Coco, get away from the door. I got a plan to open it."
"How?"
Flipping the Power Axe over to a blaster form, Dodger aims it at the monster's chest. Pulling the trigger, a blast of energy sends the enemy through the door, breaking it.
"You still got it" Dodger said, kissing the blaster.
Him and Coco exit through the hole to see the spotlight in the awful dark room. In it was Crash being bombarded with kisses by a ragdoll.
"Um, good job...Crash. Uh..."
"Get off him!" Coco shouted, running towards her Brother while Dodger watched on.

Outside at the back of the haunted house, Lincoln float over to the graveyard, looking around for The Witch.
"Okay, Lincoln. Dark, creepy cemetery. Shouldn't be hard to find."
As he continues to fly, he notices a large pumpkin in the far distance. It looked like it had green eyes that were watching him. "That can't be good. Gotta head to the house."
Lincoln made a b-line for the haunted house. A few feet away, he saw a big hole in the ground. Going on the ground, the Ace Savvy Fan looks down the abyss to see what was down there.
What he heard sent shivers in his spine. A growl that was near him. Shallowing his fear, Lincoln kept his eyes on the house.
"It's behind me."
Not falling for the cliche, "turning around to see the enemy behind them" Lincoln flew to the house and burst through the door.
He entered a large room draped in red light. The look of fear vanish, and in its place was a smile as on both sides of him were the hostages locked in cages with vines around.
"I found them. I found them before Dodger."
Lincoln went to break the vines, but he was tackled to the floor. Grabbed by the neck, Ace Savvy met what was chasing him.
It was a black fur werewolf wearing a varsity jacket and sneakers.
It didn't take a second for Lincoln to recognize who it was. "C-Clyde?"
Clyde roared in his Best Friend's face, raising his right arm, ready to slash him with his pointy nails.
In time, a blast of energy hit the werewolf in the chest, taking him off Lincoln.
Running next to him, Dodger, Crash, and Coco help him up off the floor.
"You okay, Linc?" Dodger asked. When he saw the look of shock on the child's face. He look back at the werewolf who shook off the blast attack from his axe.
"It's Clyde. She turn him into a monster."
"Lucky enough" Dodger aims the axe-blaster hybrid. "We don't have silver bullets to hurt him."
"We gotta help him."
"Only way we can is stopping The Witch and we can't do that if we're dead. I'm sorry, Lincoln. But to survive, you gotta hurt Clyde because under her spell...he doesn't care if you're his friend."
The werewolf went fight Crash, who jumped out of the way from a claw attack and hit a spin attack. Coco and Dodger free the people out of the building.
As the Sister Bandicoot guided the people, Dodger went to help Crash and Lincoln. But he was pushed back from a blast from a shotgun to his chest.
"Dodger!" Coco shouted
Looking up at his chest, Dodger saw his chest wasn't filled with blood and extra holes. But the pumpkin seeds and pumpkin guts.
Standing above with a shotgun aimed at his head was a person with a pumpkin for a head.
Dodger groaned. "I rather have bullets than rotten innards."
"That can be arranged" the Pumpkinhead spoke with a menacing voice, ready to shoot the Hero.
Instead, he shot up at the ceiling. Next, the house begins to shake, alerting everyone to get out. Clyde and the Pumpkinhead escape through a hole in the roof.
Dodger went to get up and exit. The seeds glowed and turned into vines that wrapped around his body. It continued to wrap around him till he couldn't see the room.
He quickly gave out one last order.
"Lincoln, take Crash and Coco back to the van! Don't worry about me! Go!"
Lincoln grabbed the Bandicoot Siblings. But he couldn't take off as he was worried about Dodger. The house was falling apart, and he had one shot to take every out of it.
Ace Savvy flew to where Dodger was, picked him up, and flew back to the Siblings and escaped together as the building collapsed.
Lincoln, Coco, and Crash roll on the grass, looking at the sky. But they didn't get too comfortable as a big shadow covered them while the ground shook.
Above was a large pumpkin spider with the Werewolf, Pumpkinhead, and The Witch.
"I'm one step closer to bringing this world true darkness. You have one chance. Give me your powers, or they'll die."
Covered in slimy web was Vanzilla with Lori and Luna banging on the window.
"One chance to save them or you'll regret it" said The Witch.
Lincoln watched his Best Friend and his Sisters vanish, gritting his teeth, punching the ground while Crash and Coco went to comfort him.
This was going to be a long Halloween.
