Maura POV.
I go with Hiro up to one of the guests rooms. Hes a little too noisy for my taste. Id rather be closer to Lucia but Leon-sama is counting on me.
"Just a shirt and pants?" Hiro asks as he sits and digs into his duffle bag. Regrettably i have forgotten to bring my own things so tomorrow morning ill need to visit the shops around here for some clothes and toiletries.
"Yes please" i say with a smile like always.
"Here you go" he hands me a shirt and pants and excuses himself "no no. I need help getting this off" i tell him and he seems happy enough to help.
Soon the skin tight leather top comes off and i thank Hiro for his help as i hold the top against myself to stay decent.
" ill wait for you outside and we can go back to the party together" he says and i nod and he leaves the room.
It looked weird. But at least the cloth is good quality. Hopefully it doesnt cause my skin any discomfort.
I step out and find Hiro there. "Mm you look much more comfortable now. Lets go!" He says happily. Hes such a kid.
Lucia POV.
It's been a while since Hiro and Maura left.
'wait why do i care? I should be happy he isnt pestering me this time' i shake my head a bit
"We're back everyone!" Hiro announces and he comes back into the room with Maura in tow. Hes in Hiro's clothes.
Somehow that kinda pisses me off. Have no clue why.
"Nii-san? Whats wrong?" Shiori asks as she hands me a drink.
I smile and shake my head "no no. Nothing's wrong. Maybe just a bit tired from classes today. We had a lot of activities" i answer
My eyes keep drifting to Maura and Hiro. Talking and looking like theyre having tons of fun.
It felt odd. I should be happy. He isnt annoying me anymore. Why though?
Why does it feel lonely?
"Ill go grab a drink and some food" I hear Maura say and he disappears into the kitchen.
"Im just gonna get more chips for the table. You have fun" i tell Shiori and pat her head. She smiles and nods and goes to get along with the others.
When i enter the kitchen i find Maura on his phone.
He seemed so focus that he didnt see me.
I grab the chips and put some in a bowl to bring out to the big table.
He kinda flinches as he notices hes not alone.
"Oh. Its Lucia" he just says. I was getting ready for whatever inappropriate words he'll say next but nothing comes.
I look his way and he was on his phone again.
Im not sure what to talk about so i finish what im doing and i go back to the living room where everyone is.
After a while Maura comes back with food and a drink and goes to sit next to Hiro again.
They start to talk again and i have no clue why but it feels weird. Something just feels off about tonight.
Maura POV.
I come back to the living room with my pasta and drink and sit next to Hiro. He talks to me asking of i wanna battle with him sometime.
I laugh and shrug "sure. We can sometime" i say though nothing pleasurable comes form battling this boy. Hes too bright and positive. I cant seem to break him.
Although i look forward to trying to crush his spirit. The look of despair on his face will be amazing.
My thoughts dont reflect on my face at all as Hiro continues to babble on to me.
I feel eyes on me and when I glance at Lucia i see him looking my way then turning away and drinking his soda.
'Hes pouting. How cute' i think to myself.
He tried to approach me earlier which was different. Didnt say anything though. I wonder if he has something he needs to tell me.
The 'party' keeps going until late and soon, one by one people retired to their own guest rooms.
I approach Lucia who was watching news on the couch after he took a bath.
"Hey. You mind going with me tomorrow into town?" I ask him as i sit back.
From my peripheral i see him glance my way and contemplate.
"Why? Need something from town?" He asks
"Oh i just didnt bring any stuff so ill need some clothes and toiletries for the 2 more days we'll be here" i explain.
It was quiet. Aside from the fan and the low volume of the TV nothing can be heard as the others are most likely asleep already.
"Its fine if you dont want to. I figured id ask you as you know the place better. But if you cant ill just ask Hiro" i say with a shrug and sip on my yogurt drink.
"Ill go with you" he answers immediately as soon as i mention Hiro.
'Aww is he jealous?' I think.
"Great! Tomorrow then? After breakfast maybe?" I ask and he nods.
"Remember which guest room is yours?" He asks as he turns the TV off and gets up to stretch his back and arms.
"I do. You remember which one is mine?" I ask him and he looks confused.
"Youre free to join me there anytime you wish" a blush creeps up his face.
"Its late. Uhm you should sleep too" he quickly exits the room. He is just simply adorable this way.
"Come on. Dont act like we havent slept in the same bed before" i call out and i vaguely see his red ears as he disappears up the stairs.
Lucia POV.
Here he goes again with the teasing. This felt normal. Unlike earlier
I didnt expect hed ask me out to town tomorrow. Did he say the same thing to Hiro? Hopefully not.
Huh? Hopefully not? What did i mean by that? And why do i feel so happy that he teased me again just now.
Maybe im just tired. Ill go sleep now
