A/N: I know I have not updated in a very long time. I want to know if there is still an interest in this story as I want to keep 'LEDDIE' alive. I want to know how this story ends, so I hope I still have readers that do, too. Here is a recap of the last 12 chapters in case you need it. If you don't, feel free to skip it. Just to give you a heads up, the chapter number may be off due to the previous author's note. I don't want to take it off and risk you not being able to review b/c I don't know how to do that. Sorry, hehe.

Chapters 1-12 Recap

Eddie is a rockstar who was popular until his relationship with Chloe went bust and so did his last 2 cds. Chloe is now happy with Tyler. Eddie's best friend, Ian, encourages him to forget about everything for the moment and get back into the partying scene until inspiration hits again. Eddie & Loren meet for the first time while at a college party. She's in college along with Melissa. Loren wants nothing to do with Eddie has he's full of himself. Melissa on the other hand is charmed by Eddie. The more Loren gets to know Eddie she can't help but get pulled in. Eddie is fascinated by her. His heart wants to get to know her while his head just wants to get to know every girl. In the end, his heart wins out. Melissa wants to get to know the infamous Eddie. Loren assures Melissa to go for Eddie even tho Loren's struggling with her feelings for him. Ian is into Melissa but can tell she only has eyes for the rock star. Ian tells Loren he knows she has feelings for Eddie. What is she going to do? Eddie & Mel prepare to hang out as Mel asked him out but his thoughts are on Loren. He wonders if he's making a mistake on Mel. Loren's mad at her mom b/c Nora didn't believe her on what Trent did to Nora years ago. Trent cheated on Nora and Loren witnessed it but Loren didn't have proof.

Chapter 13

(Loren was in her dorm room contemplating about her talk with Ian. It was like, without even realizing it herself, Ian knew how Loren was starting to feel for Eddie. But, now that she knew in her heart, at least she thought she did, could she really be honest with him? Knowing that Melissa had a crush on Eddie? Loren told Melissa it was okay to date Eddie. But, that was when Loren only considered Eddie as a friend. Now, what is Loren supposed to do? Her thoughts are dashed when Melissa comes in the room in excitement)

Melissa: "Oh, my God! Loren, Eddie is going to love where I have decided our date should be! I heard from a few people he likes it there or goes there often. I hear there is a band playing there tomorrow night. Perfect!" (smirks) "Maybe Eddie will kiss me."

Loren: (chuckles) "Just think about the date for now, Mel. Do you know how he feels?"

Melissa: (shakes her head) "No." (smiles) "But I have no problems making the first move."

Loren: "Just be careful and don't rush."

Melissa: "Yes, missy. I need to text Eddie the details."

(Melissa pulls out her cell phone from her back pocket to text Eddie)

Mel: "'Hey. Eddie. Regarding our date, are you available tomorrow night?'"

Eddie: "'Hi, Mel. Yeah, I'm available to hang out tomorrow night. Where do you want to meet?'"

Mel: "'There's a band that's playing in the park. I thought that we could check it out.'"

Eddie: "'Sure. Sounds cool.'"

Mel: "'How about we meet there at 6:30?'"

Eddie: "'Okay. I'll bring us a couple of sandwiches and a water so we have something to eat during the music.'"

Mel: "'Okay. No problem.'"

Eddie: "'See you then.'"

(Melissa puts the phone in her back pocket and faces her best friend)

Melissa: "What are you up to tonight?"

Loren: "I think I'm going to go for a walk. It looks like a nice night tonight."

Melissa: "You want some company?"

Loren: "No, I'm good. Thank you, though. Just going to clear my head."

(It was obvious to Mel something was going on in Loren's mind. Mel didn't press the issue as she knew Loren would open up when she was ready. Loren puts on a sweater and leaves the dorms)

(Loren didn't know how she managed it, but she wound up at the park as always. She sat on the swing, her usual spot. She moved around a bit as her thoughts left her. All of a sudden, she heard a familiar voice. One that she was starting to feel like she'd know anywhere now)

Guy: "You know, we do need to stop running into each other like this."

(Without turning around, she smiled even though she tried not to)

Loren: "Hey, you. What are you doing here?"

(As Eddie sits on the swing, he speaks)

Eddie: "Same as you. Came here to collect my thoughts."

***Loren's Fantasy***

Loren: "And what do they tell you?"

(Eddie sighs deeply as he briefly looks down)

Eddie: "I'm wondering if I'm making a mistake."

Loren: (confused) "What do you mean? A mistake about what?"

Eddie: "Hanging out with Melissa."

Loren: (weird look) "Why would hanging out with Mel be a mistake?"

Eddie: "Because the person I'd rather hang out with is…you."

Loren: (wide eyed) "What? What are you saying, Eddie?"

Eddie: "I think you know what I am saying. I have had feelings for you for a while. I just did not know whether you felt the same way." (chuckles nervously) "I guess I'm taking a chance here."

(Loren tries to fight the tears as she heard Eddie's declaration. While she was wondering about her own feelings, she did not know how he felt. She sniffles as she responds in a whisper)

Loren: "Don't go out with Mel. Please."

(Eddie nods seriously as he spoke)

Eddie: "Are you saying you have feelings for me, too?"

Loren: (nods) "I think I do. Yes, I told Mel I was okay with her asking you out, but now…"

Eddie: (shakes his head) "I won't go out with her. I don't want to hurt her as I consider her a friend and I know you two are close. But YOU are the one I want, Loren. Thank you for telling me."

Loren: (smiles) "Thank you for telling me, too."

***End of Loren's Fantasy***

Eddie: "Loren? Everything okay?"

(Loren blinks and quickly shakes her head in confusion)

Loren: "I'm sorry. What?"

Eddie: (chuckles) "It's like you were in another world."

Loren: (laughs) "In a way, I was. I come here to collect my thoughts."

Eddie: (nods) "Me, too."

Loren: (tilts her head) "So, I hear you and Mel are going out tomorrow night."

Eddie: (nods) "Yeah, we're hanging out."

Loren: "Have fun." (winks) "She is very upfront. That's all I'm saying."

Eddie: (laughs) "Uh-oh! Should I be scared?"

Loren: "No. If you like direct women, she's your gal."

Eddie: (nods) "Okay."

Loren: "Anything new going on?"

Eddie: "I wrote a few new songs. Ian heard one of them and loved it."

Loren: (smiles) "Awe, he did! I'm happy for you!"

(Eddie, all of a sudden, was a bit nervous)

Eddie: "If you even wanted to hear one of them sometime, let me know. I will bring my guitar here or you can come over to my place sometime so I can play it on my piano."

Loren: (apprehensively) "Me, come to your place?"

Eddie: "You can bring Mel, if you want. So, you don't feel like you're trapped or alone. I did technically tell her she could listen to it, too."

Loren: "I've just never been to a guy's place before. I will admit it sounds a bit weird. Yes, I am getting to know you more, but I don't know."

Eddie: "Don't worry, Loren. I'm not offended." (smiles) "We're still new to each other's world."

(He offers his hand to her to fist bump, which she laughs to at first before fist bumping back at him)

Loren: "I like getting to know you, Eddie."

Eddie: "I like getting to know you, too, Loren."
