Next day*
I woke to the smell of breakfast being made.
"Wow that smells nice." I mumble and get up to get ready for the day.
Shiori isnt here anymore so she must have gone to join the others already.
I get changed and washed my face and brushed my teeth and combed my hair and i head downstairs.
"Morning everyone" i greet.
My eyes widen as i see shiori and Maura in aprons.
"Morning nii-san" shiori greets happily.
"Maura-san is just teaching me how to make breakfast" she adds.
"And she is doing really well too" Maura praises.
The apron suits Maura so well surprisingly. I didnt know he cooked.
"Where are the others?" I ask curiously "well kazuki and Hiro discovered the river and wanted to see if they can catch fish. Mimori went with them" Maura says.
"Ahh i see" i say and i think and i get close to Maura to whisper to him.
"Dont eat too much during breakfast. I have something planned when we go into town" i tell him quietly. His scent invades my senses again. He just smells so good.
"Uhm okay" he answers and keeps cooking.
Shiori watching the whole time. I just smile at her and pat her head. "Keep up the good work. Ill go round up the 3 from the river side for breakfast" i say and off i go. Not noticing the soft blush on Maura's face.
We soon gather and have breakfast. I dont eat much and neither does Maura like i told him not to.
I thought of a way to thank him for getting me here early yesterday and also for having my bike fixed.
Its simple but hopefully he likes it.
After we eat, Mimori, Kazuki and Hiro offers to clean up. And while they do so i approach Maura again. "What time are we heading out?" I ask.
"Hmm how does around 11 sound?" He asks after thinking and i nod
"sound good. Are we taking your bike?" I ask, kind of afraid of getting on there again.
"Yes of course. Dont worry we wont go as hard as yesterday" he winks and i shake my head at his antics
"Ill see you at 11 then" i tell maura and go to relax by the Riverside for now. A hammock is set up at a little gazebo area there and its the perfect weather to just relax.
As noon approaches i get up from the tranquility and head back in to get ready for my day in town with Maura.
Soon im waiting for him at the door.
"Where are you going?" Hiro passes by and sees me dressed up.
"Oh just into town" i say with my arms crossed as i leaned back against a wall.
"Oh i see. Can you get us more snacks? Oh and cards too so we can play later with everyone" he requests.
"Ill see what i can do" is all i answer
"Ok im ready. Lets go" Maura says and tosses me his keys
"Huh?" I ask him.
"You drive" he winks at me and goes to grab our helmets. Handing me one and heading out the door.
I quickly follow and he waits for me to pull the bike out so he can hop on.
Soon were ready.
Wow this bike kinda light for its displacement amount and this is 4x the displacement of my bike too.
Maura hops on and wraps his arms around me.
"I want you to tire me out so i lay unconscious in exhaustion as soon as we get back" he whispers. Again. Awful choice of words. Good thing no one was around to hear it.
I rev up the bike. It feels so different the engine more quiet than mine. Just a tutututu that youd normally hear form suped up cars which is crazy hearing it on a bike. I see why Maura felt ticklish on my bike.
We head off. Me driving over to town. We find a parking spot and park up and lock everything up. Making sure the helmets are secure.
"Ok whats your agenda in town?" I ask Maura. He immediately grabs my arm and tugs me along
"Clothes first i look weird in these" he says gesturing to Hiro's clothes.
I nod and i lead him to the clothing area where multiple shops are lined up.
He gets a couple of plain shirts. Some jeggings and multiple chalecos of different colors.
He also gets some underwear and soon we head to get his toiletries. Soap, shampoo and the like.
I look at the shampoo he put in the basket "ah i see. So this is the shampoo he uses." I mumble to myself.
I open it a bit and sniff it. Flowers. 'yep its his scent.' Not completely though. I guess it smells better when mixed with maura's natural scent. Wait what? What did i mean by that?
I close it and put it away and soon he goes to pay.
"Ok. So reason why i told you not to eat too much during breakfast is i wanna treat you to food. As thanks. For getting me to shiori fast yesterday and for getting my bike fixed too" i tell him.
"Oh? And where do you plan on taking me to eat?" He asks and we head to the mall foodcourt.
He seemed so fascinated. Hes such a sheltered rich boy.
"What do you want to eat?" I ask. There were a lot of people.
"You.." he starts
"Can you please not? Im trying to be nice here" i quip
"You decide. Yeesh. You didnt even let me finish. Good Lord" he says with a laugh.
My ears red. I bite my lip and lead him to my favourite spot on the food court called Sizzles.
"They serve the food so hot that the sauce sizzles on the plate. So you have to be careful" i warn him.
"They have different meats and different cuts for the meats too. Which would you like?" I ask as we approach the counter.
"Hmm ill get the porterhouse steak with gravy and mashed potatoes with buttered veggies" he answers.
"Wow. Good choice. Ill get the t-bone steak with potato wedges, sourcream on the side and some onion rings" i order.
"Iced tea for my drink please. Large" Maura whispers to me so i relay the order and order my own large coke.
We then find seats and wait on our food. Oddly enough instead of bothering me, Maura just sits there tapping away on his phone. Its gotten me so curious.
Before hed be all over me. What changed?
Maura POV.
Im not looking Lucia's way but i can feel his stare.
Looking up from my phone's screen i ask "is there something on my face?"
"Huh? Oh uhm no no. Just spacing out" he looks away. How cute.
After a while the number given to us is called and he goes to get out food.
"Wow thats hot" i comment as he placed the tray of food down. The gravy was still sizzling on the plate. Its a hot plate apparently.
"I told you. Hence the name Sizzles" lucia says as he carefully sets my food in front of me. "Its extremely hot so be careful"
"Takes one to know one" i mumble.
He heard but not fully which was fine. It was only meant to tease anyway.
"Wow. This is exciting. Thank you for the treat Yonazuki Lucia." I happily say before i carefully start eating.
Lucia POV.
He thanks me and I cant help but let a small smile slip on to my lips.
I also start eating or at least preparing to eat. I have cat's tongue so it takes me a while to cool the food down enough so my sensitive tongue wont get hurt. The meal was peaceful and in no time we're both finished.
"Alright. Where to now?" I ask him
"Lets just walk around a bit. Its still early" he answers as i grab the bags.
"Oh right. The others are requesting more chips and playing cards to play later" i tell Maura.
"Oh ok. We get those at a grocery right? Want to go to the grocery now?" He asks and i just shrug
"Im fine with whatever" i answer. Getting a laugh from him.
"Pff.. hahahaha. I wonder why i knew youd answer that way" he muses and grabs on to my arm. "Lets go!" He leads me away form the foodcourt to who knows where.
