Chapter 403: Lucy's Birthday again...
(October 30. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
The morning has come, and Lucy Loud rises from her coffin, and she sighs and then looks around, and she smiles realizing what day it is. 'Though, I should be unsatisfied with the fact it is the day of when I was brought to the world of the living, I am forever grateful for what is to come for this event, and I still recall the many stupid times those two have cut money for everyone's birthday. I do not want another bouncy castle with crossed out names.'
Lucy then grabs the bust of Edwin, and she heads downstairs, and there she sees her siblings, and Rita and Lynnard, and they have breakfast ready. "Good Morning Lucy!" The siblings go over and hug her, but then Lucy stops Rita and Lynnard from hugging her.
"Trust, and Forgiveness. Two things, which I have not even bothered with you two."
Lynnard and Rita nod, they understand and back off. Lucy sits down, next to Luan. "Here ya go sis, a breakfast truly darkened for your unseen eyes!" Luan chuckles, a little and so does Lucy. Lucy sees the waffles in the shape of a dead person with red cherry sauce to look like blood.
Leni then asks. "Are you totes excited for this day, Lucy?"
Lucy nods and smiles. "Yes, yes I am. I know this will be a good day, and I trust you guys with the party and even Michelle and the others as well. I look forward to what comes next."
Lynnard then speaks. "And I will not runaway this time." They all look to the man. "What? I'm serious, I will be brave and..."
"We doubt that" replied Lola, and the others agree. Even Rita knows, her husband will only get one minute of courage, and then run and cry.
Lynnard then speaks. "Well, I will be there for Halloween..." But they all remain silent. "What? I will be, and I promise that I will not..."
"Highly doubt that one, Father unit" replied Lisa. "Since we have seen you perform such action, ever since Lori was brought into the world. You are the kind of man who doesn't seem keen to the holidays, and it makes many of us question what your childhood was like." The others also agree, and question that so much, and yet Lynnard doesn't explain why.
Lynnard sighs, but then he speaks. "Well, being locked up has taught me something. That I shouldn't run and hide, and go inside the basement or the bedroom. I will be there for the birthday party tomorrow, and the big Halloween event, for sure!"
They all eat their food and then Lynn Jr asks. "So, anyone wanna place some bets on that one?"
All of them are thinking about it.
(Later in the day.)
We now see Lucy Loud, walking towards the house with her Goth friends, they helped keep her occupied while everything was being setup. They head to the backyard, and there they see the party is done and everyone cheers. "Happy Birthday Lucy!"
They see how spooky and ominous the backyard looks, and the many Gothic and scary themed stuff that are around. This makes Lucy and her friends smile. Even Lori showed up for this. "It's like an early Halloween, but celebrating me and... What the heck is that thing?"
Lucy and her friends see the statue of the half-bodied woman monster. Stella Zhau shows up. "A special decoration which I suggested for this, and you can use this for the corn maze tomorrow. It's called a Manananggal, and in the country of the Philippines, they stalk the night on wings, leaving behind their lower body and seeking people alone to feast on their insides."
The others are surprised to hear this, and Clyde and Chloe come out with the giant spider cake, and are surprised to hear this. Lola faints hearing this, but the Goth's smile. Boris snickers. "Now that does sound truly grizzly and interesting."
Dante speaks. "I am not interested in what else is lurking in that country."
They all continue to enjoy this party, and Lucy is loving all of this and she sees the birthday gifts as well. Then she goes over towards Lincoln and Luna. "Thank you both, for coming today and helping make this all possible, and whatever it is that you guys got me for my birthday, I will love them."
Lincoln's gift to Lucy is a 1:48 scale model of Edwin's Castle, which will need assembly.
Luna's gift to Lucy is the Ghostly Ship Flying Dutchman in a bottle.
The two Lewis siblings nod, and then Lincoln speaks. "No matter what happens, and even if we're not siblings, or in the same last name..."
Luna continues. "We're still family, something we will see in each other, and it will always remain the same."
Lucy smirks. "Nice rhyme, and even though there aren't some special surprises going on. This is alright with me, thanks guys." She then hugs Lincoln and Luna, to which they hug her back.
They depart from the hug and see Rocky, and then he speaks. "Lucy, I have a poem and this is... This is my gift to you, and I would like you to hear it."
This makes Lucy smile, and Michelle hears this and she speaks. "Everyone quiet!" They all remain silent, even though they didn't even say anything loud, and they let Rocky speak the poem to Lucy.
"A darkened soul, unnoticed and unseen."
"Yet, I see you clear as the moonlight would seem."
"The shadows that surround, are always on the prowl."
"But when I am by your side, there is nothing to keep our emotions feeling down."
"I thought you were cool, and passionate, and truly patient."
"I spoke, we talked and then we learned how to be truly competent."
"I finally found, someone who I could call a true friend."
"But in the end, we became more than that, and for that it will remain, till the end."
Hearing this makes Lucy blush and smile, and she goes over and places a small kiss to the cheek of Rocky, and this stuns him. "Thank you, Rocky, I love it." She then hugs him, and so he returns the hug, everyone claps seeing this.
Michelle got it all on camera, and they can all see that this is one of the best birthdays Lucy has ever had, and this makes Rita sigh and recall the many birthdays they have done for all their kids. 'We really need to change tactics for their birthdays, and it seems too late for the one for Lori.'
Then Lucy departs from the hug and she looks around. "Is Lynnard hiding again?"
Lisa explains. "He lasted two minutes, and then retreated back inside after seeing the statue of the half-body woman." Yup, they can see that at Halloween, he's probably not gonna last long.
