Well, I have good news! Volume 0 is over we now start Volume 1 hope you are excited about all the shenanigans that are gonna happen there!
Chapter 8 - Beacon of Hope
Christmas- Somewhere near Argus
An unamused Aqua was standing in front of a concealed cavern, it had not been hard for her to find it, the Sorcerer in there was like a beacon of magic.
However, what truly annoyed her were the fanatical cultists who even after learning that she was a daemon still attacked her like rabid animals, on the disfigured bodies she left behind her she had seen marks from three Chaos Gods, Tzeench her Lord, Khorne the Brutish idiot and Slanesh the whore.
With a sigh from her Faunus mouth, she pushed away the overgrowth in front of the entrance before activating her Semblance with a confident smile on her face.
The cave was exactly what she was expecting from a Chaos hideout, altars to the gods littered the place where she could see dozens of cultists praying to them, she spotted a man crucified on one of Slanesh's altar begging for mercy, none were given to him as the cultist leading the ritual was whipping him with a sadistic smile on her face the man's cry of pain only pushing her to even grander acts of debauchery.
A growl escaped Aqua's mouth, Nurgle was the worst since his entire gimmick was the polar opposite of her very being, she was glad that somehow none of those pox filth made it on Remnant but it did not mean she liked the other Gods, at least she could appreciate the changes inflicted on the man.
After walking deeper into the cave at random she found herself in what seemed to be a control room, but what caught her eyes was the Tzeenchian sorcerer standing with his nose deep in what seemed to be a scroll.
Deactivating her Semblance she slowly approached the mortal with a sway of her hips and with a bit of her own magic she accentuated the sound of her footsteps.
This seems to catch his attention and in the blink of an eye he was standing straight, a staff had appeared in his hand, said staff was pointed in her direction, even with the avian mask she could see his glare which made her smile cockily.
"Halt! Who are you faunus?!" She knew what he was thinking, 'How did she get past my wards?', 'Who is she?', 'Is she an assassin?', well the last one was close but he was not her target.
Without stopping her seductive walk her skin started to shift and retract on itself, her clothing fused with her body, the changes lasted until she was standing in front of the wide-eyed man who made the Horror smile.
"Who are you to talk to me like that mortal?" Slowly she started to walk around the man while examining him, to her amusement she could easily spot the bulge in his robe something that made her smirk.
"It matters not, you are just a pawn in the great game." She could feel his gaze transfixed on her exposed 'breasts' and ho so slowly she grabbed his manhood making him stiffen. "You should go see one of those Slaneshi slut...Milos for I am already taken by my gracious mistress who deigns to send me to this pitiful excuse of a cult."
A whimper escaped the man's mouth. "A-A million s-sorry great one, I-I did not know that one of His servants w-was here!"
A chuckle escaped each of Aqua's many mouths, she never removed her hand, the teeth of the mouth on it were gripping him tightly but without piercing cloth and skin. "Then you are a fool mortal, my mistress see all...now where is your superior?"
Milos was trembling in fear for his well-being but slowly he pointed behind her. "He-He is looking at you my l-lady"
The main mouth of the Horror distends into a smile that seems big enough to swallow him entirely, however, she did not turn around. "So it seems, greeting Ballroch Soulsplitter, Dark Apostle of the Word Bearer."
The mechanical footsteps of the Terminator approached them with a confident air, Aqua could tell that this Astartes was not scared of her.
In the corner of her eye, she saw him raise his massive storm bolter in her direction. "I would kindly ask you to remove yourself from my sorcerer, I still have some use of him."
With a giggle Aqua slowly let go of Milos who let out a small sigh of relief. "Very well Word Bearer after all you are some of the most fervent of our followers." In the blink of an eye that even Ballroch missed Aqua was sitting on his massive right shoulder between two sharp spikes. "Now, I have not come here to talk with you, I am simply a messenger."
The surprise of the man and super-human made her giggle madly and with a quick push of her feet and a twirl in the air, she was standing in front of the Terminator before giving a mocking bow. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Aqua Crystal at your service."
"A normal name? What kind of daemon are you?" This new voice was owned by a brute of Khorne who was standing next to Ballroch with a sneer on his face, she could easily deduce that the only reason he had not attacked her yet and was so calm was thanks to his master's presence.
The smiles on Aqua's many mouths turned into sneers at the view of the Khornate champion. "If you were more brain than brawn savage you would know that a daemon never reveals his true name, but you're role in the Great Game is insignificant." Ignoring the glare of rage sent her way Aqua turned towards Ballroch. "So are you willing to listen to my Mistress?"
A small growl of annoyance escaped the helmet of the Terminator. "Very well, I do hope it is interesting."
Not wanting to lose more time an orb appeared in her hand, the blue fog inside of it quickly dispersed itself revealing the terrifying appearance of Salem the Lord of Change, at her apparence Ballroch's annoyed stance turned into one of great interest, the sickly sweet and thousand voiced of Salem resonated through the cave. "Haaaa I see you succeeded pet very good."
The compliment made Aqua cooed in delight, a sound that made the already aroused mind of Milo shudder but no one paid him any attention to his great relief. "Now mortal, it appeared you have found your way to my realm...tell me what are your intentions her Ballroch of the World Bearers?"
A low chuckle escaped the man. "Don't you already know it, my Lady? I would have thought that one of the Greater servants of the Architect of Fate knew everything."
His blatant disrespect of Salem made Aqua hiss at him threateningly but her msitress voice ruled her in. "Calm down pet." A chuckle escaped the Lord of Change's beak. "You are an amusing mortal but I am not here to banter so here is my deal Ballroch, join me, join me to kill every mortal in this world and defeat my brother."
"Your brother Great One? Is there more than just you in this misguided world?"
"Yes he named himself Ozpin, he too is- was a servant of my Lord, he now helps mortals survive my creations." The snarl of rage on Salem's face made everyone even Ballroch flinch.
Milos slowly approached the conversation, he finally had the opportunity to be face-to-face with an avatar of his God, the sorcerer only wanted to get a closer look at such a beautiful being but once he entered Salem's field of view her blazing blue eyes focused on him making him flinch.
"So you were the energy source I felt, thank you for having tried to open a portal to our Lord's realm sadly the Warp around this planet is fluctuating." Salem looked at the assembly while licking her beak. "This means no summoning Deamons World Bearers, I am the only one capable of such a feat and even I am limited."
A growl of annoyance escaped the mouth of the Astartes who after mulling her demands looked at her. "What do I get from such a deal my Lady?"
A maniacal giggle escaped Salem. "Why power of course, and if you satisfy me enough I might even give you the broken body of my brother after all he is a Lord of Change you might find a use for him in one of your infernal machines."
An unseen smile appeared on his face before giving her a small bow. "Very well my Lady, this force is at your service, so where do we begin ?"
"You made the right choice pawn, now I need you to send one of your most trusted to Vale, one with little to no mutation if possible ho, and move your camp closer too I have the perfect emplacement in mind hehehe." The scheming cackel of Salem was followed by Aqua's own, the orb in her hand slowly disappearing the laughter of the two daemons being the only thing resonating through the cave.
Now with the orb gone Aqua's flesh morphed itself back into her Faunus cloth and flesh, with a small mocking smile she gave a small giggle before turning around. "You have your order mortal I will see you in Vale hehehe."
The mad laughter of Aqua's slowly left the cave, once they were sure she was gone the traitor Astartes looked at his two followers. "Prepare the cult we are moving."
Milos bowed and left quickly while Torgar left with twitches going through his body his muscled frame needing to kill something.
Ballroch for his part was smiling, the deal was struck and he had much to do, with purpose he left to direct the camp disassembly.
Vale, Two Years Later
Ruby Rose now fifteen was happily walking through Vale at night with her sister Trivia now sixteen, they had both come to say their goodbye to Yang who was getting enrolled at Beacon.
Ruby after her sudden growth spurt two years ago stopped at 5'2" (1.57 meters) she was of course still wearing Trivia's outfit to the delight of the chromatic girl next to her.
Trivia for her part was however only 4 feet tall (1,21 meters) but thanks to her heels she was more along the line of 4'2" feet tall (1.28 meters), like Ruby she had re-sized her outfit she got from Ardal during their first meeting the outfit being really dear for her.
Currently, both young girls were looking for an open Dust shop for Yang who needed more fire dust and for them too, their weapons were unique in the world but the dust combination needed to make the ammo for Ruby and recharge the pistol pack for Trivia needed a lot of the miracle substance.
Ruby was currently jumping excitedly around Trivia her Cresent Rose strapped safely to her back. "Throne I'm soooo happy for Yang! And jealous! I wanna go to Beacon too!"
An amused smirk was on Trivia's face who was twirling Hush playfully in one hand while the other was typing her TTS answer. "It's okay sis you only have to wait two years and well we can still call her on her scroll."
The answer did not please Ruby who pouted at her cutely. "Yeah, but even Ardy is gone! He said he had a new duty to perform!" The sight of an open shop called "From Dust Till Dawn" caught her eyes and with a smile on her face, she pointed it out for Trivia her worry forgotten for now. "Look Triv! A dust shop!"
Her answer was a thumbs up and a proud pat on her back that was followed by the older girl taking point Hush lazily held on her shoulder, she was quickly followed by Ruby.
The inside of the shop was warm in contrast to the cool air of the night, the walls and counter of the shop was filled with different types of dust: powder, crystal, refined, unrefined everything was here and in all its types possible.
Ruby's eyes sparkled at so much variety but what really caught her eyes was the weapon magazines section she gave a pleading puppy look at Trivia, the two didn't need word to understand what Ruby wanted and with an amused roll of her eyes Trivia nodded.
This got the little reaper to squee in delight to the amusement of her sister and the elderly clerk who was waiting for them to choose something the mute girl started to do.
Ruby however put her headphones on effectively drowning the outside world, she was listening to High Gothic song that Ardal managed to get his hand on top of the cutest corgi ever whom she quickly named Zwei with the help of her sisters.
Everything was going well Trivia with the accord of the clerk went to the backroom to check for more specialized dust that she needed while Ruby was immersed in her reading and music.
But everything was about to change when the door of the shop opened letting in a man wearing a beautifully tailored white jacket, on his head was a bowler hat hiding ginger hair, the man was currently looking around while twirling a cane in his hand.
However he was not alone four other men were following him all dressed in black with red sunglasses, and each where holding a weapon, either a katana or a pistol.
The leader of the group flicked his cigar before looking at the elder man. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?"
His declaration prompt one of the man to point his gun at the old man making him raise his hands in fear. "P-please! Just take my Lien and leave!"
Wainting to sound reassuring Roman smiled at the man mockingly. "Shhh, shhh, shhh, shhh, calm down, we're not here for your money." However, a more serious expression appeared on his face when he turned toward his henchman. "Grab the Dust."
With the robbery now underway one of the grunts was going to fill up a new tube of Dust when strange muted music came to his ears, with a glance in one of the alleys of the shop he spotted a small hooded girl hunched over completely oblivious to what was happening.
An annoyed huff escaped the man's mouth when he approached her before pointing his katana at her. "Alright kid, put your hands where I can see 'em." When no response came after a few seconds the man growled in annoyance. "Hey, I said hands in the air! You got a death wish or something!?"
Fed up with the child he rudely turned her around making the hood fall revealing a surprised face and headphones on her ears. 'Of course...' The view of them annoyed him prompting him to tap his ear.
Thankfully the girl understood and with a quick movement, she removed her headphones the sound of the strange music becoming louder. "Yes?"
Now that he had her attention he pointed her sword back at her. "I said, put your hands in the air, now!"
This seems to surprise the girl even more who raised an eyebrow, she did not even seem scared of the sword pointed at her face. "Are you... robbing me?"
"Yes!"
Realization seems to splatter on her face, her mouth opens in an 'O' before smiling. "Hoooo."
On the other side of the shop, Roman Torchwick's master thief and crime lord was waiting impatiently for this robbery to end when suddenly one of his men was sent flying through the window his sword following him shortly.
With an even more annoyed roll of his eyes, Roman saw a little girl wearing red stepping out of the alley, in her hand was the biggest weapon he had ever seen on such a small girl it looked comically big, with a single glance at one of his henchmen the man raised his pistol at her. "Freeze!"
But before he could fire a pink and brown form appeared out of nowhere in the air next to the man, with a powerful dropkick his 'associate' was sent flying through the already broken window.
The new girl did a small pirouette on her hands before standing next to the red-wearing girl with a smirk on her face and a hand on her hip, her weapon, an umbrella was twirling playfully in her other hand.
Roman looked at the two with an unimpressed look. "Okayyy... Get them!"
The two girls smirked at one another before rushing at insane speeding, the red-wearing one being the fastest reached the last two surprised henchmen, with the help of her scythe she propelled herself in the air effectively kicking them out of the shop, the two girls following them.
Outside the henchmen stood up while groaning in pain their auras flickering, however, they had no time to react, Ruby using her bolter recoil left behind her a medium-sized crater in the ground to propel herself towards the first man who manage to stand up, with a powerful kick of the butt of Cresent Rose, he was sent flying backward before slamming in a wall rendering him unconscious his aura failing him.
Trivia still in the air pulled out Silence and fired a las-shot at one of the swordsmen that were rushing her still flying form, the shot hit his leg making him fall to the ground with a yelp of pain, smirking at this Trivia stopped a few feet in front of his down form, skipping happily towards him Trvia sent him to wonderland with a hit of Hush to the head strong enough to break his aura.
Ruby and Trivia regrouped before taking a pose that they had practiced at Signal, Ruby had the butt of her weapon on the ground the massive scythe loomed menacingly behind her it did not help that she was also holding it with only one hand.
Trivia had Hush on her shoulder, she was looking at the men with a small mocking smirk her hip cork to the side with a hand on it.
The last two men were back on their feet and after a tense stand-off both parties rushed at one another, Ruby dodged a sword strike before countering with a kick to the stomach sending him flying towards the shop.
Trivia played a bit with her one opponent, she was using her own skill and Semblance to dodge every hit the smirk never leaving her face before striking the man in the legs with Hush that was quickly followed by a haymaker to the shin who sent him flying next to his friend.
Inside the shop Roman looked at the fight with an unimpressed look, he quickly jumped out of the broken window while looking at the unconscious men. "You were worth every cent. Truly, you were." His gaze turned towards the two teenage girls who were looking at him in their combat pose. "Well, Red, Neo, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening, and as much as I'd love to stick around..." Quickly Roman raised his cane in their direction the bottom of it opened revealing a crosshair. "I'm afraid this is where we part ways."
The girls only had time to widen their eyes and quickly dodge the projectile coming out of Melodic Cudgel, the explosion momentarily masking him from view.
When the smoke dispersed Roman was gone making them both look around, thankfully they quickly spotted him climbing a ladder, Ruby was gonna rush after him when she spotted the shopkeeper looking at them, she quickly approached him. "You okay if we go after him?"
The man nodded and without losing more time the sisters rushed after him, Trivia used her great agility to jump from wall to wall while Ruby used her Semblance and bolter to propel herself on the roof.
On the rooftop, Roman had his back turned to them, at the sound of the shot he glanced behind him, at the view of the two teens standing ready to fight he growled in annoyance. "Persistent..."
At the same time, a Bullhead pulled up from below the building its hatch already open, Roman smirked before turning around with a fire crystal in his hand. "End of the line you two!"
Roman quickly jumped onto the ship while throwing the crystal in their direction caught off guard they did not have time to move, with quick reflexes and impeccable marksmanship Roman shot the crystal in mid-air engulfing the teens in smoke.
A smile appeared on the man's face who could not hold his laughter. "Whoa-ho-ho-ho!" However, he caught a glimpse of a purple hue in the smoke making him stop laughing. "Huh?"
A woman in a purple cape stood in front of the two girls who were looking at her with awe from behind the shield.
Not losing her focus she quickly waved her weapon at the bullhead summoning several streaks of purple that she launched at the craft.
Roman was thrown around in the bullhead before quickly going to the cockpit with a quick look at the pilot he switched places while giving her a last warning seeing her going towards the open hatch. "We got a Huntress!"
The Huntress on the rooftop waved her riding crop above her head making a storm appear above the craft, Roman stared at it with wide eyes but had to quickly use his pilot skill to dodge the hail of jagged rock falling from the sky.
However her concentration was broken when a fireball was thrown at her forcing her to raise a shield around the three of them, the heat was so intense that the rock thrown in the sky by the force of the hit melted.
With a glare, Glynda lowered the shield and raised her weapon several spears of rock rushed at the shrouded figure but all of her spears were deflected, not deterred by it she used the remnants of rock to strike at the craft but with surprising skill Roman managed to make them reflect off of a wing of the Bullhead.
Out of option, Glynda glared at the figure in the craft, however, Ruby wanting to be useful raised the Shrike Pattern Bolt Sniper Rifle part of Cresent Rose and fired three powerful bolts at the figure, the trio saw her trying to deflect them with her hand but when the first shot connected a surprised cry of pain resonates through the craft, the arm of the figure was thrown backward her aura bearly holding on, the second bolt hit her at the elbow this time going through her aura blowing the limb off in a messy mixture of blood, flesh, and bone, however, the third one went wide only making a hole in the hull.
The horrible shriek of pain that the woman let go prompted Roman to start the engine and in seconds the craft was only a speck in the night sky of Vale.
Ruby pouted. "Frak, so close..." Trivia patted her back to try to make her feel better, however, Ruby quickly remembered who was on the roof with them, with the use of her Semblance she was standing in front of the shocked Huntress with stary eyes. "You're a Huntress! Can I have your autograph?!" Her question made her come back to reality and look at her with an annoyed glare that was followed by Trivia face-palming.
Vale police station
An ashamed Ruby and indifferent Trivia were sitting in an interrogation room, Glynda was currently pacing in front of them with a scroll in her hand. "I hope that you realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, young ladies. You both put yourself and others in great danger."
This made Ruby raise her head and Trivia eyebrow. "For the love of the Emperor! They started it!"
This made Glynda stop, she seemed surprised by her declaration. "The Emperor? No no, it's not important What's important is that you blew up this criminal arm! But..." With a shake of her head, the glare on her face came back. "If it were up to me, you'd be sent home... With a pat on the back..." At the smile of the two girls, she slapped the desk with her riding crop. "And a slap on the wrist!" The jump they made seemed to satisfy her making her back off. "But... there is someone here who would like to meet the both of you."
With perfect timing, a man entered the room revealing Ozpin holding in one hand a plate of cookies and a box of vanilla/strawberry ice cream and his coffee mug in the other.
However at the view of the man, Ruby had to squint her eyes, the blinding blue light coming from him was incredibly strong it kind of looked like Aqua's one but where Aqua was like a dim light his was like staring directly at the sun.
Ozpin sat down and looked at her, at the view of her silver eyes a glint of surprise appeared on his face, and like a light being turned off the blinding light disappeared altogether. "My apologies...Ruby Rose...You... have silver eyes."
A smile appeared on her face. "Yep! I'm a saint of the Holy Emperor!" A proud nod of Trivia's head confirmed it.
Ozpin hid his surprise quite well for he knew she had lived with Ardal an Astartes who probably taught her the Imperial faith. "I see...So! Where did you both learn to do this?" Ozpin pushed a tablet in front of the girls showing their fight with Roman and the mysterious injured girl.
Trivia smirked proudly while Ruby gave a nervous chuckle. "S-Signal Academy."
An amused smile appeared on Ozpin's face. "They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed and a never seen pistol?" Trivia next to Ruby gave a 'so-so' answer to his question with her hand.
Ruby dared a glance at her sister. "Well, one teacher in particular and my grampa hum- Trivia's dad."
Ozpin slowly pushed the cookie plate in their direction. "I see..." He gave them time to pick some but the feral look on Ruby's face made Trivia raise her hand in surrender which prompted Ruby to quickly inhale the entire plate in seconds, Trivia however not wanting to be bested at one of her favorite activities grabbed the ice cream and ate it as fast as Ruby, this made Ozpin blink before continuing. "it's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow..."
Trivia this time answered for Ruby with her TTS her face still in the ice cream pot. "That's our Uncle Qrow he is a teacher at Signal, but my Father Ardal taught her how to use her bolter and chain-scythe." The excited nod of the happily-chewing Ruby confirmed the story.
Ozpin took a sip of his drink while examining the two of them. "So I've noticed, and what are two adorable and religious girls such as you two doing at a school designed to train warriors?"
Ruby smiled at the question. "Well... I want to be a Huntress."
This made Ozpin smile. "You want to slay monsters?"
"Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! you see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Hey, I might as well make a career out of it!" The more Ruby was explaining the more she was gesticulating everywhere in excitement, Trivia found it funny to let her do it.
The two adults stared at her for a moment before turning towards Trivia. "And you young one? Being mute in such a world must be hard."
Trivia shrugged at it before answering. "My father saved me from the street, I want to repay my debt to him by saving people plus if I don't do it I won't make the Emperor proud, I am not a coward."
Ruby placed a reassuring hand on Trivia's shoulder making her smile at her, after a moment Ozpin looked at them. "Do you both know who I am?"
Both nodded and Ruby answered. "You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon."
Opzin smiled at them. "Hello, do you both want to come to my school?"
This seemed to surprise the two sisters who looked at one another who had a silent conversation between them before smiling, two happy faces looked at him. "More than anything."
With a glance at Glynda who only gave him an annoyed 'Hmph' Ozpin smiled at them. "Well, okay."
Aboard the Vale Airship "Hope" a few days later
Yang was currently crushing her two struggling sisters in a bear hug. "I can't believe my two sisters are coming with me at Beacon! It's the best day ever!"
Ruby's face turned bright red when she noticed other future students looking at them. "Yang! Let us go! You're embarrassing us!"
"Nha! What you both did was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you two are the best!" Yang had a bright smile on her face, after squeezing them both one last time earning a grunt of pain from Ruby and a pained expression from her chromatic counterpart Yang finally let go of them.
Finally free Ruby leaned on Trivia to get her breath back before glaring cutely at her older sister. "I don't want to be "the best", okay? I don't want to be any kind of special! I just want to be a normal girl."
Yang rolled her eyes before looking at Trivia who gave her a "so-so" hand sign. "I don't really care, as long as they don't annoy us too much."
Their answer did not please Yang who looked at them with a sceptical look. "What's with you two? Aren't you both excited?"
A glance was exchanged between the two youngest of the group before nodding. "Of course we are excited... It's just... I got moved ahead two years and Triv one. I don't want people to think we're special or anything."
This time both sisters looked at her with a deadpan look. "Ruby, YOU are special, remember who is the saint to His Holiness?"
A weak chuckle escaped Ruby who rubbed her neck. "Y-Yhea, b-but this time I won't try to bring people into the Imperial creed OK? Promise."
This made Yang smile but before she could answer a holo-screen in the plane turned on showing Lisa Lavender, Vale head reporter for the Vale News Network (VNN). "The robbery was led by nefarious criminal Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Vale Police Department (VPD)."
Next to her a mugshot of Roman Torchwick smiling at the camera was depicted, Trivia gritted her teeth at the view of the man, Yang however hugged them with one arm each. "Isn't that the guy you scared off?"
Ruby nodded shyly. "Y-Yeah, but we didn't know he was so well known."
With a shrug of her shoulders, the trio kept watching the screen which had changed to show a Faunus protest one of them was holding a sign saying "WE ARE NOT ANIMALS!" which was followed by a logo well known to them, the red logo with the wolf head of the White Fang, this made the three sisters cringe in sympathy to the Faunus. "On another note, this Saturday's Faunus Civil Rights protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony. The once peaceful organization has now disrupted-"
The reportage was cut to be replaced by a hologram of Glynda Goodwitch in her usual attire, Yang looked at it perplexed before giving a sideway glace at her sisters. "Who's that?"
"Hello, and welcome to Beacon! My name is Glynda Goodwitch." Her question was quickly answered making her look a bit embarrassed 'Throne' escaped her lips.
A snicker escaped Ruby's mouth while Trivia elbowed her playfully in her side. "Yeah yeah laugh it up you two, at the end of the day I'm still the coolest of the three of us!"
Two tongues were her answer which made her smile in victory the jabs ended however when Glynda continued her speech after a few seconds of blank. "You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."
Her speech now finished the hologram of Glynda disappeared at the perfect time to show a beautiful view of Vale and in the distance Signal Academy, Yang and Ruby were looking at it with a smile while Trivia took a picture of it, elbowing Yang she talked to her with sign language. "Nice view, wanna do a selfie?"
With a smile, Yang nodded. "Sure! After all, everyone knows I'm just that photogenic."
With a roll of her eyes, Trivia took the selfie with Ruby squeezing in between them with a big smile. "Yeah! But Beacon's our home now, we are closer to the path the Emperor chose for us."
At the same time a blonde boy past them his face looking green with a hand on his mouth making Yang smirk. "Well the path of our Lord is not for everyone!"
This made Trivia snicker at the blonde expense who quickly turned into silent hysteria when some puke ended up on Yang's shoes, something that was quickly pointed out by Ruby. "Yang, gross! You have puke on your shoe!"
The look of horror and disgust on her face was quickly saved in the mute scroll. "Get away! Get away from me! Get away from me!"
After the ship landed
Once the door opened the blonde boy came running out first before puking in a trash can, soon after students started emerging from different planes with Ruby, Yang and Trivia walking next to one another all looking at the sight in front of them with wonder.
A big smile appeared on Yang who threw her arms around her sister's neck taking them in a side hug. "The view from Vale's got nothing on this!"
Ruby managed to wiggle out of her grip, and with a quick look around her eyes started to glimmer in excitement. "Oh my gosh, girls look! That kid's got a collapsible staff! And she's got a fire sword!"
Both sister's looked at her antic with a smile Trivia elbowed Yang to get her attention. "You should stop her or she's gonna start stealing weapons."
Shrugging her shoulders Yang approached Ruby with a smirk on her face, the little red reaper was about to grab a boy's nunchaku when she was suddenly pulled by her hood and held off the ground, the culprit ended up being Yang who turned her around. "Easy there, little sister. They're just weapons by the Emperor it's like you never saw any!"
A gasp of shock escaped Ruby who used her Semblance to escape Yang's grip. "'Just weapons'? They're an extension of ourselves! They're a part of us! It's like saying the Emperor is not real!"
This made the three cringe at the thought. "Too far Rubes, if Grampa was her he'd call you a heretic!"
Ruby placed her hands where her heart should be while walking backward. "You wound me dear sister of mine! Me?! An hertic? Say that to the people at Signal who called us lunatics!"
Trivia and Yang smiled at her antics while walking however as they were throwing friendly jabs at one another, Ruby still not looking in front of her collided with a cart full of briefcases before she could be warned.
Ruby's head was ringing, the first thing she heard was a high-pitched voice filled with anger. "What are you doing?!"
Still trying to get her bearing Ruby only managed to discern the form of a thin feminine shape, what she could be sure of was how white she was. "T-Throne I'm s-so sorry."
Slowly getting up Ruby managed to get a good view of the girl, she was wearing what seemed to be a pretty expensive white dress, Ruby swore she saw gems incrusted in it, but before she could say anything the angry girl scowled at her with a very haughty voice. "Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?"
The girl was getting more and more angry, with a quick glance behind her she spotted Trivia filming the scene with a smile and Yang somehow eating popcorn, when her eyes crossed she gave her a thumbs up.
When she looked back towards the rich girl, she saw her pick up one of the briefcases and open it revealing dust vials, angrily snatching one of them she started to shake it under her nose. "This is Dust - mined and purified from the Schnee quarry!"
Ruby simply gave her a blank look, she was gonna answer but a groan of annoyance escaped the girl's mouth. "What are you, brain-dead? Dust! Fire, water, lightning, energy! Everyone learns what it is when they are mere children!"
In her anger, Weiss did not realize that the cork of the vial was not shut correctly and fire dust started to pour out of it right onto Ruby's face who started coughing while sniffing the dust by accident, she tried to complain. "I-I know what-"
Only to be rudely cut by the angry heiress. "Are you even listening to me? Is any of this sinking in? What do you have to say for yourself?!"
Sadly it was too much for Ruby who finally sneezed causing a dust explosion to engulf both girl's heads.
Weiss started coughing and removing the smoke with her hand revealing both of their face covered in soot. "Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!"
Behind them, Ruby could hear Yang laughing so hard she could picture her rolling on the ground, this however only served to make her embarrassment and anger grow, and Weiss's rapid-fire complaints were not helping. "Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?"
"I-"
Crossing her arms Weiss looked at Ruby with an annoyed look. "This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so... watch where you're going!"
This time Ruby growled at her. "Hey, I was gonna say I was sorry, princess, by the Throne you're worse than Yang when you touch her hair!"
Weiss's eyes widened in disbelief, she was going to retort when a third individual made herself known. "It's heiress, actually."
Both halted their heated argument to look at the new voice, the girl was wearing a black, buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front, underneath it, Ruby could see a white, sleeveless, high-necked, crop undershirt, for the bottom she was wearing a white shorts with a zipper on the front of each leg in her hands she was holding a closed book and in the other a vial of fire dust.
A smug smile appeared on Weiss's face. "Finally! Some recognition!"
Her smile quickly faded at the glare the girl was sending her way. "The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners."
"Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!" With her brow furrowed and fists clenched Weiss approached Blake and snatched the vial from her hand before walking away.
Feeling a little bad Ruby waved at her. "I promise I'll make this up to you! The Emperor protects!" Turning around to thank the mysterious girl Ruby was only to see her gone, leaving the guy from the ship alone in the pathway who was waving at her awkwardly with a nervous smile on his face. "Hey... I'm Jaune."
Walking towards him her sisters momentarily forgotten Ruby smiled at him before extending her hand. "Ruby, may the Light of the Emperor shine on you Jaune."
Akwardly shaking her hand Jaune looked at her. "H-Hum on you too?"
This seemed to be the right thing to say if her widening smile meant anything, however, a voice was heard behind Ruby. "Awwww look who's talking to boys now!"
Not prepared for the teasing Ruby quickly let go of his hand a furious blush creeping up her face. "Yang! I'm just making friends!"
Turning around really fast she was met with two smug smiles, making her pout in anger. "And why did none of you help me when I exploded huh?!"
A giggle escaped Yang and Trivia's smile widden even more. "Relax sis! It's not like you got hurt or anything! It was all in good fun."
Trivia nodded her head her TTS already speaking for her. "Beside, you kind of asked for it you could have used your Semblance to get away."
This made Ruby stammer in exasperation. "But she-! I was-! Ugggggh, Welcome to Beacon I guess..."
Triva approached the slumped-over Ruby before patting her on the shoulder sympathetically. "It's fine sis we've been here for less than an hour."
A small smile appeared on the dejected girl who raised her shoulder. "Thanks, Triv."
Yang got close with a smile but before she could say anything someone caught in front of them, looking ahead a bit surprised the sisters finally noticed the blond boy still there staring at the trio awkwardly. "H-Hey."
There was a silence for a good minute where the boy fidgeted in discomfort at the stares he was receiving finally Yang broke the silence. "Wait aren't you the guy who puke on my shoes ?!"
Jaune widden his eyes. "Ho my Oum it's you! I'm so sorry! But motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!"
"Whatever you say Vomit Boy." Yang approached him and extended her hand. "Name Yang, behind are my sisters Trivia and Ruby."
"I'm Jaune, Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it!" He grabbed her hand confidently but Yang could see his nervousness, at looking at her making her smirk internally, of course, she knew she looked good! Compared to Ruby and Trivia she had developed in all the right places making her one of the most beautiful students at Signal.
The giggle behind her made her smile. "Well, nice to meet you, lover boy." The smile on Yang's face became more predatory and without warning she squeezed his hand, hard.
This made Jaune whimper in pain before getting dragged towards the blonde who whispered dangerously in his ear. "Try anything on my sisters Vomit Boy or Emperor be my witness I'll crush you so hard you won't be able to sit ever again."
At his rapid head nod the dangerous smile on her face relaxed same as her grip. "Good! Come on I'll introduce you, well if they hadn't heard you that is." Not letting him recover from the bone-crushing handshake Yang wrapped one of her arms around his neck before bringing him towards the two snickering girls.
"Yo sis! I want you both to meet Jaune." A big teasing smile appeared on her face and with surprising accuracy, she imitated his voice. "Name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it!"
This made the two girls burst out laughing at a blushing Jaune, well for Trivia she used her scroll but the way she was holding her stomach told them everything they needed to know.
Ruby finally managed to calm down slightly. "H-Ho Throne I needed that!" Her gaze locked on the blushing Jaune before smiling. "Do they?"
"They will! Well, I-I hope they will. My mom always says that... Never mind." His face became less red but his expression was still one of embarrassment.
However it was the wrong thing to say the teasing voice of Yang next to him made him blush again, and it was not because of how close he was to the blonde bombshell! No sir-y! "Awww and he's a momma boy too! How cute!"
Finally calmed down Ruby approached the two and made Yang let go of him. "Cut it out Yang he's gonna die of embarrassment."
Trivia nodded her head before talking with signs. "Yeah, and the way you were hugging him close to your chest made you both look like a couple."
It was Yang's turn to blush making Jaune look at her curiously his face back to normal however his attention turned back towards the little reaper who was looking at him. "Ignore them they like to play pranks, let's go we need to get to the auditorium."
This made everyone nod prompting the group to walk in a random direction while having small talk.
At one point the subject of weapons was brought up making Ruby smile, making sure it was safe she grabbed her folded scythe-bolter on her back and deployed it revealing Cresent Rose in all her glory. "So... I got this thing!"
This made Jaune jump in surprise a look of awe on his face at the view of the massive weapon twice as big as Ruby. "Whoa! Is that a scythe?!"
"Well, it's also a high-impact bolter sniper rifle!" A big proud smile was plastered on her face but at the look of confusion on Jaune's face, she rolled her eyes.
"It's also a gun."
"Hoooooo cool!" Finally getting it Jaune started to examine the masterfully crafted weapon, next was Yang who approached. "And I got those babies!" While saying it she deployed her gauntlets "Ember Celica".
Jolsted out of her examination he looked at her gauntlets. "Cool! So you hum punch things?"
A wild smile appeared on Yang's face. "You bet! Their also shotguns, pretty cool huh? Wait to see me use them against Grimm skull Vomit Boy."
"Stop calling me that!" Jaune looked at her a bit annoyed. "Would you want me to call Ruby Crater Face?" This made said girl gave an indignant 'Hey!' from behind him. "Cause I'm fairly sure she exploded earlier."
"Yeah well, we don't say that, plus Triv still hasn't shown you her weapon!" Yang gave him a slap on the back making him stumble toward the smirking mute who started twirling her Umbrella.
Ruby came next to her smiling. "Trivia is mute but her Weapon is called Hush that's the umbrella shield-blade and the handle is called Silence it's a las-pistol!" To demonstrate it Trivia took out Silence from the handle leaving her with a weapon in each hand.
"A 'las-pistol'?" Jaune looked at them incredulously. "Like a laser weapon?"
"Yep!" Ruby gave him a big smile. "Weeeell it's more complex there's a fire crystal in it but it's the same principle, but enough about us what about yours?"
Jaune gave a nervous chuckle before taking Crocea Mors out of its scabbard. "Oh! I, uh...I got this sword! But it's not as cool as yours..."
Yang patted his shoulder sympatically. "Awwww don't say that what else does it do?"
Jaune looked at her with a small smile. "Well, I also got this shield." He demonstrated this by deploying the scabbard/shield.
Trivia smiled before using her TTS. "That's nice what's its special ability?"
Jaune's smile disappeared before being replaced by a nervous chuckle. "The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it, I can just... put it away..." He demonstrated it with a bit of nervousness.
"But... wouldn't it weigh the same?" Ruby looked at him with her arms crossed and a raised eyebrow.
Jaune shoulders slumped. "Yeah, it does..."
His reaction made the girls giggle, Ruby twirled her weapon. "Ho, I forgot! She's also a chain scythe! Throne how did I forget to show you that it's like the coolest thing in my Cresent Rose!"
Not waiting for an answer Ruby activated the module making the blade open letting the mono-molecullar teeth appear, the low purring of an engine following it shortly after.
Jaune looked at the weapon with wide eyes. "Isn't that a bit overkill?"
Ruby let out a gasp of horror. "Overkill?! There's no such thing as overkill! I admit I'm kind of a dork with weapons so I guess I did go a little overboard when designing it but she is perfect like that!"
If Jaune's eyes were not already bulging they would have been now. "You made that?!"
"Yes, well I had my grampa help but together we made Cresent Rose, Hush and Silence, and even Ember Celica! Well Yang and Trivia helped with their's but still." Her sisters gave approving nods while storing their weapons back, Ruby following shortly after.
"Hey Jaune I wanted to ask you, why did you stay back there?" Their walk started again still in a random direction.
"Eh, why not? My mom always says, 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.'" Jaune shrugged.
However, their conversation was stopped by Trivia suddenly appearing in front of them with an annoyed look her scroll already talking for her. "Sis it's nice that you finally found a guy but where are we? We need to get to the auditorium in like fifteen minutes."
Her comment made the both of them blush, the squeaky complaining voice of Ruby made Yang hold back her laugh. "I'm not flirting Triv! And I don't know I was following you!"
This made the group look around them. "Y-You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some sort of recognizable landmark?" Jaune looked at the group while rubbing his neck.
Trivia rolled her eyes and pointed towards the giant tower of Beacon.
Her unamused expression made the group laugh, and in good spirits, they quickly rushed towards the tower.
Inside the auditorium
Ruby, her sisters, and Jaune finally reached the auditorium after having asked for directions from a portly man who presented himself as Professor Port.
Inside the place was filled with students looking at a rather big podium while talking among themselves, a big smile appeared on Yang's face who dragged her sisters away, Ruby looked back at Jaune and waved at him. "Bye Jaune see you later !"
"Wait!" Once they were far away Jaune's shoulder saged with a sigh. "Oh nice where am I supposed to find a nice and quirky girl with her two sisters to talk to?!"
Yang finally stopped at some point and looked at Ruby. "So how's it going for now ho great Saint?"
Ruby crossed her arms and glared at her. "You mean apart from the fact that I literally exploded. I'm fairly sure there was fire and ice but apart from that? Great!"
Yang laughed awkwardly a side glance at Trivia let her know that the mute was apparently finding her scroll really interesting. "Yheaaaa apart from that?"
Ruby, tapped her finger below her chin with a thoughtful expression. "Hummm let me see? Ho yeah! There was this really mean and crabby girl who kept screaming at me while you two were starring at me, and I started to feel really bad and kind of angry, I wanted her to stop yelling at me but she wasn't, and-"
Her rembling was cut short by the annoyed voice of said crabby girl from behind. "You!"
Her exclamation made Ruby jump in fright right into Yang's arm. "Frak it's happening again!"
"You're lucky we weren't blown off the cliff!"
Yang deadpanned at her while letting Ruby fall to the ground said the girl let a 'oof' when she hit the ground. "Hey princess it was an incident she didn't mean to-"
A pamphlet in her face cut her short on it the words "Dust for dummies and other Inadequate Individuals".
Ruby took this time to stand up and look at the paper. "It was an accident but hum what's that?"
Taking an aughty air Weiss removed the paper from Yang's stun face to do the same to Ruby. "The Schnee dust company is not responsible for any damage-"
Ruby turned out the long rant under the amused look of Trivia, once she realized that Weiss had stopped talking she blinked at the unamused heiress. "Huh ?"
Weiss crossed her arms over her chest. "You want to make it up to me dolt?"
"Yeeeees?"
"Then don't speak to me ever again." Weiss raised her chin and was about to leave but Yang quickly stepped between them.
"Hey look we all got out on the wrong foot so let's start again." She gave a bright smile at Weiss while pointing at herself. "I'm Yang, behind me is Trivia she's mute but she's really good with her scroll and signs." Weiss got a smile and a wave from the mute something she did not give back.
Ruby was watching them, when she realized she was the last one she smiled at Weiss. "Hello Weiss! I'm Ruby! Hum wanna hang out? We can go shopping for our school stuff!"
An unlady-like snort escaped Weiss who gave them a big sweet smile. "Yeah! And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, blond, and scraggly over there." Her voice was dripping with sarcasm while pointing backward at a Jaune in the background who looked at them with a hopeful look.
Ruby laughed nervously. "Really? Hum everything was like good and all but I can't do well boys." This seemed to surprisingly interest Weiss, at seeing her look Ruby panicked and shook her hands in front of her in a dismissive way. "N-Not that I like girls! It's just I can't, I hum have big responsibility like BIG but you wouldn't understand..."
Ruby was fidgeting under Weiss's intense stare but before she could retort that she had more responsibility than a little girl should have a tap on a microphone from the stage got their attention, on it Ozpin was looking at the assembly, Glynda was next to him a stern look on her face that made most of the student shut up.
Once the room was silent Ozpin gave one last look at them before starting his speech in a disinterested way as if he wasn't completely there, at the end of it Ozpin stepped out off the stage letting Glynda take his place. "You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed."
Silence reigned in the room until Glynda was out of the room, once the chatter of the crowd started again Yang turned toward the three others. "He seems kinda off... he kinda reminds me of Crystal sometimes."
Ruby nodded sagely but Trivia beat her for the answer. "Yhea I caught her sometimes saying weird things." She shrugged. "But hey who are we to judge."
This made the sisters ponder it with Weiss watching them with a puzzled look, Jaune took this exact moment to pop next to her. "I'm a natural blond you know!"
With a groan Weiss faceplamed.
Ballroom- Night
Yang was looking around the big atrium with a big smile on her face before looking at Trivia next to her. "Reminds me of our night at the house sis! It's like the slumber party we used to do in Grampa's room after the night prayer."
Speaking of prayer Ruby took that exact moment to pop next to her with candles and incense sticks in her arms. "Well, I'm glad you said that dear sister because behold! My 'Ruby on the fly prayer kit!'."
Both sisters raised an eyebrow but before any could say anything Ruby shoved gently the items in Trivia's arms before sitting and taking out a letter. "By the way Yang I don't think Dad would like all the boys."
Yang looked around at the boys undressing themselves, she knew they were doing it on purpose but she couldn't stop herself from growling seductively at the view of their bare torso. "Well I don't mind it~" However her roaming eyes started bleeding at the view of Jaune in a footie pyjama waving at her making her groan.
Looking back at Ruby she could see her sister in her pajama covered with the Imperial Aquilla deep into her letter, on the side Trivia in her corset and shorts was setting up the incense and candles.
Peering over Ruby's shoulder she looked at the letter. "So what is it?"
"Hum?" Ruby spared her a glance before placing the letter down a big smile on her face before doing the aquilla sign above her heart. "I'm sending a letter to the gang, I promised them I'd give them news about Beacon."
A proud smile appeared on Yang's face who hugged her from behind. "Awww that's so cute! You and your little troop were really fun to see! Peoples were like 'Ho no there's more of them!'."
Ruby squirmed in her arms but a tap on both their shoulder made them stop, Trivia was standing over them with an amused look before pointing at the finished preparation.
A big smile appeared on Ruby and Yang's faces who stopped their sisterly tussle, standing up quickly the three girls crouched in front of the altar with their pendants in their hands not caring about the weird look most of the room was giving them.
In practice motion, they spoke in unison, Trivia in her head but Ruby knew she was reciting with them with her mouth moving silently.
"Blessed be the God-Emperor, my rock, who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war;
My safeguard and my fortress, my stronghold, my deliverer, my shield, in whom I trust, who subdues my enemies;
Benevolent God-Emperor, hear my prayer, in honor, I have served You, willing and without thought;
Take succor in His strength, steel thy soul with His word, armor thy personage in faith to He, Arm thy self with His will;
Ô benevolent God-Emperor, hear my prayer, allow thine servant to serve you;
Hear our plea, grant us the strength to defy your foes, grant us the will to ignore their blandishments, grant us the courage to stand before them, with your grace, we shall know no fear."
They stood still for a moment, the first one to break their silent prayer was Yang who opened her eyes slowly, looking around in her kneeling position she could see most of the students staring at them oddly, the others not carrying about their antics.
Chuckling nervously Yang slowly rose up and in a swift motion, her pendant was back around her neck.
Yang always hated cutting off the southing warmth Ruby's prayer gave her, nudging her sisters out of their trance both girls looked around, Trivia with an indifferent look on her face apart from a slight smirk and Ruby beet red in embarrassment.
Trivia quickly snuffed out the candles and with practice motion everything was put away the lingering scent of the incense was the only thing reminiscent of what happened.
Yang hugged them both. "Soooo what do you think or Beacon for now Rubes?"
A pout appeared on the still-blushing face of her sister. "It's nice, but I couldn't take any of my friends with me! It's weird not knowing anyone."
Cocking her hip to the side with a deadpan look Yang smiled at her. "Well I never needed friends, but what about Jaune? That's plus one friend! That's a hundred percent increase!"
Crossing her arms over her chest Ruby glared at her while still dangling from her much taller sister, Trivia was scrolling her scroll not caring about her airborne position. "Pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend."
Trivia took this opportunity to pat her shoulder reassuringly, her TTS already talking for her. "It's been one day sis, and last time I checked it took you something like three to four months to convert your bunkmates at Signal. And what about that girl who showed up when you blew up?"
"Yeah!" Looking around Yang spotted said girl reading a book in a corner of the room. "Look she's here let's go say hello!"
Ruby's plea for mercy when unheard of by her sisters who dragged her towards the black-clad girl, once in front of her Yang gave her a big smile. "Hellooooo I believe you two know each other."
Looking up Blake looks at the struggling girl with the strange symbol on her pyjama with a raised eyebrow. "Isn't she the girl who exploded?"
Using her Semblance to get out of her sister's grip Ruby flashed a nervous smile in her direction before doing instinctively the aquilla symbol over her heart. "H-Hi I'm Ruby Rose, hum behind me is Yang Xiao-Long and Trivia Vo'Shan Vanille." A nervous laugh escaped Ruby. 'Where half-sisters."
Blake went back to her book after her rant. "Okay."
Trivia was having a lot of fun filming the scene discretly from the sidelines, Yang however had a more active role in the conversation stared at Blake. "Sooo what's your name?"
An irritated sigh escaped Blake's mouth. "Blake."
"That's a nice name! Umm, I like your bow?" Yang gave her a big smile that was received with a twitch of an eye.
Blake gave the best fake smile she could at Yang. "Thanks!"
It goes well with your... pajamas!"
In the background Ruby heard Trivia's facepalm making her wince at the carnage she was witnessing, Blake gave an unimpressed look at the blonde. "Right..."
A short silence followed this embarrassing conversation which was broken by Ruby's nervous laughter. "Nice night, don't you think?"
"Yes, it's lovely! Almost as lovely as this book!" Silence. "That I will continue to read." The silence was deafening under the blank stare of the two sisters. "As soon as you leave!"
Broken from her trance Yang grumbled and looked at Ruby. "Yeah, this girl is a lost cause."
However Ruby ignored her. "What's it about?"
This made Blake raise an eyebrow. "Hum?"
"Your book, what's it about?" Ruby looked at her innocently, a look that made her squirm a bit.
Taken aback by her sudden interest Blake stammered a bit. "Well, i-it's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body."
Yang snorted while crossing her arms. "Sound lovely, I had more fun reading Grampa's prayer books."
Ruby smiled and placed a hand over her heart. "I love books. Grampa used to read to us every night after the prayer. Stories of great heroes slaying monsters and more... They're one of the many reasons I want to become a Huntress."
This made Blake laugh a little. "And why is that? Hopping you'll live happily ever after?"
Ruby's face hardened in a serious frown that took Blake by surprise. "I wish... but my destiny is way bigger than me." A small smile appeared on Ruby's face. "That's very ambitious for a child." The surprise look on Blake's face turned into a frown. "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale."
The smile on Ruby's face disappeared. "I know that...when I was little I nearly got killed by an assassin...but Ardy saved me since then I have to follow the path laid for me by the Emperor because that's my duty as a Saint and I hope to return the favor to him at some point."
Yang and Trivia gave her a sad and proud smile while Blake looked at her mouth agape in shock, Yang not liking to see her sister sad took her in a bear hug. "Ô Emperor! I'm so proud of my baby sister!"
The surprise hug made Ruby wiggle fiercely in her death grip. "Yang! Cut it out!" The hug quickly turned into an all-out brawl making them both kick up a cloud of dust.
The more light-hearted scene made Blake laugh a little. "Well, Ruby, Yang it's a pleasure to ha-"
She was cut short by Weiss walking into the scene in her nuisette with a look of anger on her face. "What in the world is going on over here?! Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep?"
The dust cloud came to an abrupt stop, when Yang's gaze crossed Weiss's one a groan escaped her lips. "Throne! Not you again!"
Untangling herself with the use of her semblance from her sister Ruby stood in between them. "Girls she's right! People are trying to sleep!"
Weiss at her interruption glared at her. "Oh, now you're on my side!?"
"I was always on your side!"
Yang took the opportunity to stand up and pass an arm around Ruby's shoulder while returning a glare of her own at Weiss. "Yeah! Throne above what's your problem with my sister? She's only trying to be nice!"
A gasp escaped Weiss's mouth who took a dramatic step back. "Nice? She's a hazard to my health!"
Blake smirked at the argument, with a roll of her eyes she looked at her side towards the candle however she was surprised to see Trivia sitting next to her with a small smile on her face. 'I did not hear her, how?'
Trivia's smile turned into a playful smirk, with a twirl of her scroll in one of her hands she quickly blew over the candle's light plunging the small scene around them in darkness.
Done! It took me way too long but hey! I'm not dead! Adjusting to my new job has been hard making it hard for me to write.
So to pardon myself I made this chapter a bit longer, yes it's mainly what happened in the actual episode with some twist but hey it's Volume 1! So we are out of the child period for Ruby and her gang!
Well, I don't have much else to say so unto the review!
-Ruby's parents be like "Can you not form a cult for FIVE MINUTES" Ruby is already 4'8 at 13 and her canon height is like 5'1 are we getting super tall rube? Interesting to see how the Beacon teams change up, I'm assuming Neo Yang and Ruby are all going to go to school together and Rwby will still form just maybe with Neo as an extra? Yhea I thought that an impresionable child plunged into a religion super young would have an inclination to... spread said religion. :) And yes It's not really a big secret but Neo is gonna join RWBY :p.
Also if Ruby meets Ozpin she might be able to tell what he is with a little more practice, maybe after she knows what to look for when she smites the blue chick. Wellllll it's done in this one.
Ardal at least realizes that she's definitely not trustworthy. Ruby is about to singlehandedly make the emperor a religion all across remnant, as being a special chosen one does. Well, Aqua's implication is gonna turn interesting in the future I can assure you.
-So she is actually an evil bitch and not a sympathetic villain for a change in this au? Well, I guess that helps dislike this Salem the Canon one aka miss suicide. I feel pity for Salem since I have no doubt that she would have let the space marine kill her. After all, she wanted nothing more than to die let's hope that he gets along with General Ironwood I actually like his character? I pity him for having mettle as his semblance I blame most of his badder actions on it and also not having sufficient information on the base of any military leader to act appropriately. Yep, I always hated Cinder more than Salem, she sounded more like a desperate Grandma who wanted to die than anything else, well except the plotting to end the world lol. As for Ironwood well he clearly turned crazy during Atlas siege his semblance might have been one of the causes of it but I think his paranoia was the end of him.
Not that I dislike canon Ozpin either. I imagine being forced into his kind of cursed immortality has colored his view of the world. I only truly despise the false God of light whose actions are the reason for everything wrong with modern remnants. The only other RWBY character in canon I hate is the evil version of Mr. Monopoly aka daddy asshole Mr. Jacques Schnee. Jack was just a greedy corporate man nothing more to say about it, as for Oz well I think his obsession with Salem blinded him in a lot of ways making him lose the closer picture he was always looking way too much into the future.
I wish someone would point out to Adam and his followers that they are pointing their fangs at the wrong family name as I am sure it would accomplish nothing. He seems as implied heavily by people who know the asshole that Mr. I am a wife and child abuser wouldn't care if they killed the actual Schnee off for their admittedly understandable (have you seen the brand on Adams's face?) Hate for anything related to the SDC. Anyway, keep up the good work. Jack wouldn't care one bit if his children died, well except maybe Witelely since it's his youngest and he can mold him like he wants. As for Adam, yes I know about his SDC brand on his face I'm just missing Volume 9 because well I don't wanna pay to watch it. But yeah I'm fairly sure that if the Fangs actually tried to kill Jack they could have done it.
