It was now daylight in Tortuga as a new day dawned for our heroes. Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, and Barf and Belch stood on the docks along with Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Joshamee Gibbs as they meet their crew for the Interceptor. Standing before them in line were eleven sailors, a disheveled, motley and weather-beaten ragtag group of men, awaiting the approval of their new captain.

"Feast your eyes, Captain. All of them faithful hands before the mast. Every man worth his salt, and crazy to boot." Gibbs says

The heroes looked upon the sailors as they stood calm and silent. The most interesting member of the group was a pint-sized man named Marty the Dwarf, who was diminutive but tough and hardy dwarf pirate, around the same size as Donald. According to Gibbs, he was a pirate that had lots of fighting spirit that more than made up for his size. He was bald with blue eyes and had a long thin brown beard woven into a single strand, along with an earring and a multi-colored waistcoat with a white shirt, a belt, a pair of black shoes and baggy breeches. Everyone looked down at him with curious and awkward expressions. Toothless lowered his head down and leaned in close to Marty, sniffing him a couple times and warbling with curiosity at his height, while the short-statured pirate maintained a calm, yet serious face. Will Turner was not impressed since this was not the most stellar crew.

"So this is your able-bodied crew?" Will says unimpressed

Jack walked down along the line, followed by Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Will, Gibbs, and the others until he stopped infront of an old man, who had brown eyes, his right-eye was kept shut, and a thick white beard. He wore a faded blue bandanna, a dull yellow shirt, a standard brown vest and pants, and had a blue and yellow Macaw parrot perched on his left-shoulder.

"You, sailor!" Jack says

"Cotton, sir." Gibbs says

"Mr. Cotton, do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost certain death?" Jack asks

The old sailor stood silent, staring back at the pirate. Jack couldn't tell whether he was deaf, or he was ignoring him.

"Mr. Cotton! Answer, man!" Jack says

"He's a mute, sir. Poor devil had his tongue cut out." Gibbs says

Cotton opens his mouth to show his missing tongue, which made Jack, Snotlout, and Fishlegs lean away and cringe at the sight and feeling of having their tongue ripped out. Even Toothless cringed at the gruesome image.

"Yeesh. Sounds painful." Snotlout says

"Yeah. Don't think I'd ever want to lose my tongue." Fishlegs says

"So... how does he talk? Hiccup asks

"He's trained the parrot to talk for him. Though no one's figured out how." Gibbs says

Jack took a small step down the line, barely an inch, and turns to the parrot perched on Cotton's shoulder.

"Mr. Cotton's parrot, same question." Jack says

"Awwk! Wind in your sails! Wind in your sails!" Cotton's parrot says

"Uhh..." Hiccup says

"Mostly, we figure that means 'yes'." Gibbs says

"Of course it does." Jack says

Jack turns around to his right and faces Will.

"Satisfied?" Jack asks

"Well, you've proved they're mad." Will says

"Oh! We have someone like Cotton on Berk who doesn't talk either: Silent Sven. He communicates with gestures." Fishlegs says

"Heh. Though hardly anyone can guess what he's saying either." Snotlout scoffs

"What's the benefit for us?" A female voice asks

Everyone looks over to the side and trace the voice to a crew member further down near the end of the line of sailors. Her face was hidden underneath a black, wide-brimmed hat. Walking over, Jack takes off the hat with his left-hand. The sailor was actually a smuggler, a tough, dark-skinned woman, who had long dark brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a large yellow headband, a white long-sleeved shirt underneath a gray checkered wool jacket, dark brown pants with a large black belt and a bronze square buckle, and black seaboots. Her name was...

"Anamaria." Jack says smiling

Anamaria slaps Jack across the face with her right-hand in an echo to Scarlett and Giselle, at which Tuffnut and Ruffnut laughed.

"I bet you didn't deserve that either." Devon says crossing his arms with an amused smile

"No, that one I deserved." Jack says

Jack turns back around and faces Anamaria.

"You stole my boat!" Anamaria says

"Actually-" Jack says

The female smuggler slaps the pirate again across the face.

"Borrowed. Borrowed without permission, but with every intention of bringing it back to you." Jack says

"But you didn't!" Anamaria says

"You'll get another one." Jack says

"I will." Anamaria says pointing her right index finger at Jack

"A better one." Will says

"A better one!" Jack says

"That one." Will says pointing to the left with his right index finger

"What one?" Jack asks turning around to face Will

Everyone follows Will's gaze toward the Interceptor anchored out in the distance.

"That one?!" Jack says angrily turning back to Will

Will simply nodded his head. Jack thought it over, and he had to agree with young Turner. Although the Interceptor was a fine ship, it was nothing compared to the Black Pearl, which was his real prize. And so, he turns back to Anamaria and nods his head with a smile to placate her.

"Aye. That one. What say you?" Jack says

"Aye!" Anamaria says

"Aye!" The sailors say in unison

"Anchor's aweigh!" Cotton's parrot says

With their captain's approval, the Motley Crew head to their stations and begin carrying supplies and provisions to the Interceptor. Anamaria takes her hat back from Jack and places it back on her head before joining the rest of crew. As she does, Gibbs leans over to his captain, expressing his concern about Anamaria's place among the crew.

"No, no, no. It's frightful bad luck to bring a woman aboard, sir." Gibbs says

"Hey." Astrid says

Jack and Gibbs look over towards Astrid, who had her hands at her waist with Stormfly behind her. Alongside her was Ruffnut on her right, who also had her hands on her waist.

"Astrid's right. We need all the help we can get." Jack says

The Pirate Captain glances up at the sky, noticing a sudden change in the weather.

"Besides, it'd be far worse not to." Jack says

After saying that, Jack turns to his left and walks off on the boardwalk toward the Interceptor. Devon, Sora, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Will, and Gibbs watch Jack as he heads for the ship, then glance up at the sky. They could see gray clouds forming in the distance, the sign of an impending storm.

Later on, the Interceptor and its crew sailed through a fierce storm. Gusty winds blew across the sea, lightning flashed across the dark skies with the loud cracking, crashing sounds of thunder, and brutal waves smashed against the brig, splashing tons of water all across the deck. On board the ship, the sailors scurried about with their tasks, securing the sails and the rigging with Devon, Sora, and Co. helping at every turn. Marty the Dwarf and Donald both grabbed a rope, but they were lifted off their feet and they flew from one spot to another due to their short height. Goofy came over to help and pulled them down onto the deck. Hiccup, Astrid, and Fishlegs pulled down on one rope, while Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut held down another rope with the help of their dragons, working together to tie down the sails. Devon, Sora, Will Turner, and Gibbs worked to secure the rigging when a strong wave splashes onto their side of the ship, knocking them down for a moment. They immediately got back up, grabbed the rope, and pulled it tight with Luna, Spyro, and Cynder rushing over to help. And up on the quarterdeck, Jack Sparrow stood at the helm with his right-hand on the wheel, using his compass in his left-hand to guide them through the storm.

"How can we sail to an island that nobody can find with a compass that doesn't work?!" Will asks

"Aye! The compass doesn't point North, but we're not trying to find North, are we?!" Gibbs says

Gibbs leaves the young heroes to their task and heads over to the quarterdeck, stopping halfway along the stairs as he calls out to his captain.

"We should drop canvas, sir!" Gibbs shouts

"She can hold a bit longer." Jack says

"What's in your head that's put you in such a fine mood, Captain?!" Gibbs asks

"We're catching up." Jack says smiling with confidence

While the heroes were drawing closer to Isla de Muerta, the Black Pearl and its cursed pirate crew had already arrived at their destination, laying in anchor at one of the many rock harbors that lined the island. Elizabeth was still in the captain's cabin, gazing out at the island through the large window of the ship until she was approached by Pintel, Ragetti, Twigg, and Kohler.

"Time to go, poppet." Pintel says

The pirates bring the young maiden out onto the main deck and Twigg binds her hands with rope. Barbossa places the medallion around Elizabeth's neck, then he and his crew set off in their longboats for the island, rowing towards a large entrance to a dark cave.

Elsewhere, off the coast of Isla de Muerta, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Co. finally arrive at the mysterious phantom island as the Interceptor sails through a bank of thick fog. They could make out the shapes of half-sunken ships, upside-down hulls with holes worn away in the wood, and worn masts that rotted in the air, the only sign of the vessels that lay below the waves, where dozens of Hammerhead sharks dwelled beneath the depths. It was a graveyard of lost ships. Devon, Sora, and their friends could only imagine the horror that had befallen the poor souls who died in the area.

"Dead men tell no tales." Cotton's parrot says perched up on the main mast

"It puts a chill in the bones how many honest sailors have been claimed by this passage." Gibbs says

Will looks up towards the quarterdeck and watches Jack as he stood at the helm, gazing down at his compass in his right-hand with Cotton standing behind him.

"How is it Jack came by that compass?" Will asks

"Not a lot's known about Jack Sparrow before he showed up in Tortuga with a mind to find the treasure of Isla de Muerta. That was before I'd met him, back when he captained the Black Pearl." Gibbs says pulling out a leather flask from inside his vest for a drink

Devon, Sora, Will and the others looked over at Gibbs, surprised by what he said.

"What?" Will says

Gibbs' eyes darted over to the right, realizing what he had said, and he continued drinking his flask, while Will glances back at Jack.

"He failed to mention that." Will says

"He plays things closer to the vest now. A hard-learned lesson it was." Gibbs says

"What was?" Devon asks as he and his friends turn back to Gibbs

"Three days out on the venture, the first mate comes to him and says, 'Everything's an equal share. That should mean the location of the treasure too'. So, Jack gives up the bearings. That night, there was a mutiny. They marooned Jack on an island and left him to die, but not before he'd gone mad with the heat." Gibbs says

"Oh... So that's why he looks so crazy all the time." Snotlout says

"Yeah. With all those weird gestures like..." Tuffnut says

Tuffnut extends his arms straight out and leans backwards as he pretended to be Jack, making weird faces like him too with a widened left-eye and a raised eyebrow on the same side.

"Heh heh heh. Crazy pirate." Ruffnut chuckles

Snotlout, the Thorston Twins, and even Donald laughed, though Devon, Sora, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Will Turner, and Gibbs were hardly amused.

"Reason's got nothing to do with it." Gibbs says

Devon, Sora, and Will sit down on a couple of barrels with Gibbs, and Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Toothless, and the other dragons sit on their haunches, while Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens stood on their feet as they all gathered around the old sea dog, who continued his tale.

"Now, listen. All of you. When a pirate's marooned, he's given a pistol with a single shot, one shot. Oh, that won't do much good hunting, nor to be rescued. But after three weeks of a starving belly and thirst, that pistol start to look real friendly." Gibbs says holding up his right index finger and pointing to the side of his head

"Enough to make a pirate shoot himself." Devon says

"Aye. But Jack, he escaped the island, and he still has that single shot. Oh, but he won't use it, though, save on one man." Gibbs says

"His mutinous first mate." Devon says

"Barbossa." Will says

"Aye." Gibbs says nodding his head

"But how did Jack get off the island?" Fishlegs asks with a questioning look on his face

"Well, I'll tell ye. He waded out into the shallows and waited there three days and three nights till all manner of sea creatures came acclimated to his presence. And on the fourth morning, he roped himself a couple of sea turtles, lashed them together and made a raft." Gibbs says

"He made a raft... out of sea turtles?" Astrid says crossing her arms in disbelief

"Aye, lass. Sea turtles." Gibbs says nodding his head

The world-travelers stared at the sailor, unsure whether to believe such a story. Clearly, it could be one of Jack's tall tales. The idea of creating a raft using sea turtles sounded preposterous.

"What did he use for rope?" Hiccup asks

Gibbs opened his mouth to speak, but stopped when he and everyone else noticed Jack standing alongside them.

"Human hair. From my back." Jack says

Luna and Toothless stuck their tongues out, warbling in disgust, while Devon, Sora, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Astrid and Fishlegs each shared disturbed expressions.

"Euugh." Astrid says in disgust

"Sorry I asked." Hiccup says

Shaking off that mental image, Devon decides to ask more about the current captain of the Black Pearl.

"What else can we know about Barbossa?" Devon asks

"He's a ruthless, cunning, and dangerous pirate, one that should never be underestimated." Gibbs says

"Aye. He and I once had our eyes on a treasure: Aztec gold. 'Twas hidden on Isla de Muerta. But he turned traitor and stole my ship." Jack says

"So he's after the treasure then?" Sora asks

"Treasure's already his, mate. So's the curse upon it." Jack says

Devon, Sora, and the others were confused. There was actually cursed treasure?

"A curse?" Spyro asks

"What kind of curse?" Cynder asks

"The kind that turns you to bones. Savvy?" Jack says

"What?" Snotlout says confused

"The Curse of the Aztec Gold. It'd be dark magic cast upon the treasure of Hernán Cortés by the Heathen Gods. Anyone who takes but a single coin from the stone chest is cursed for eternity. Greedy beholders are doomed to a lifeless existence. No food, no drink, no pleasure. They become skeletons that are neither living nor dead." Gibbs says

"So, you mean to tell us that Barbossa and his crew are...?" Fishlegs asks

"Undead pirates? Aye." Gibbs says nodding his head

Fishlegs whimpered with fear, while Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut stared at Gibbs.

"Whoa..." Tuffnut says stunned

"Cursed pirates, huh?" Devon says

"Well, it's not unlike anything we've dealt with before. Remember the Nazgûl?" Hiccup says

"The Ringwraiths. Yeah. Those things were hard to defeat." Astrid says

"Especially since they were neither living nor dead." Cynder says

Toothless nods his head, warbling in agreement.

"Barbossa and his crew have preyed upon sailors and settlers alike, attacking ships and settlements for near ten years, leaving not a single survivor." Gibbs says

"Yeah. We saw the kind of damage they did back at Port Royal. And they had help from the Heartless." Hiccup says

"But if that's true, then why would the pirates kidnap Elizabeth?" Goofy asks tapping the side his head with his right index finger before spreading his hands out

"She must've had something they wanted." Devon says

"Treasure?" Donald asks

"Maybe, but there's obviously something much deeper going on here." Devon says

Devon and his friends turn to Jack Sparrow to see if he had anything to offer.

"What about you, Jack? What your stake in all this?" Devon asks

"Me, personally, I've no desire for such treacherous spoils. But I will take back what's mine: the Black Pearl." Jack says

Glancing over his right-shoulder to his crew, the Pirate Captain shouts out a command.

"Let go of the anchor!" Jack commands

"Lower the anchor!" The crew shouts

As the sailors head over to drop the ship's anchor, Jack turns his attention back to the group before him.

"Young Mr. Turner and I are to go ashore. Devon and Luna will accompany us." Jack says

The Keyblade Wielder and his female Night Fury both nod their heads in acknowledgment.

"Right. We'll scout ahead to make sure the way is clear." Devon says

Devon walks over to Luna, while she lowers herself down for her rider, and he throws his right-leg over the Night Fury's back, mounting her saddle. Once he was onboard, the black dragoness lowers down and kicks her feet off the deck as she and the Keyblade Wielder take off toward the island with a strong flap of her wings. Everyone watches as they fly off into the fog, then Jack and Will walks over to one of the rowboats as they prepare to head for the island themselves.

"Captain. What if the worst should happen?" Gibbs asks

Jack stops for a moment and turns to Gibbs, glancing back over his right-shoulder.

"Keep to the Code." Jack says

"Aye. The Code." Gibbs says nodding his head

On the island, Barbossa and his crew escort Elizabeth through the tunnels with Twigg dragging her along and they enter a large cavern that was crammed full of treasure, packed in chests and heaped in messy piles.

Precious jewels were strewn across the ground; a pearl string once hung around the neck of a princess of Bavaria; an amethyst centerpiece of brooch big as a pigeon's eye. There was even huge quantities of gold and silver bars and coins, which came from raids on Spanish ships. But some of the most valuable pieces were jewelry stolen from wealthy passengers on ships the Black Pearl attacked. And in the center of the cave, sitting on top of the treasure heap, was the ancient stone chest containing the cursed Aztec gold.

Elizabeth stared at the chest as it stood atop the pile of treasure until Bo'sun pushes her away to prepare her for the blood ritual.

Not far from the pirates, Devon and Luna were now in the dark caves, scouting along the path that led to the Treasure Cave. The young hero held Soul Calibur in his right-hand above his head, the crystal Keyblade illuminating the way forward with its sparkling, benevolent blue light, walking to the right alongside his female Night Fury, who kept her nose to the ground, following Elizabeth's scent as they proceed. During their walk, Devon looks down at the water on his right and saw the glints of gold coins resting beneath the waves of the grotto floor. Focusing on the task at hand, he continues onward through the tunnel, following his dragoness as she led the way.

Soon, Devon and Luna heard the echoing sounds of chatter up ahead. The young teen and his Night Fury dragoness shared glances with each other, then sneak up quietly on the entrance to the Treasure Cave with Devon dismissing his glowing Keyblade to keep themselves hidden within the dark caves. They hide behind a wide rock outcropping and peek over the top through the large hole. There, they saw Elizabeth standing at the top of the treasure heap near the stone chest with Barbossa next to her on her right. Devon and Luna also watched the pirates as they dumped their loot onto the piles of treasure, adding on to their plunder. Pintel and Ragetti hauled in a large, seemingly heavy wooden trunk, carrying it on both sides with smiles on their faces and laughing with glee.

"Ten years of hoarding swag." Pintel says

"Now we finally get to spend it." Ragetti says

The two pirates dumped the trunk over, but instead of treasure, it was filled with women's clothing and a few parasols, much to their surprise and bewilderment. However, they seemed to have developed an interest as Pintel held a closed white parasol in his hands and Ragetti held up a yellow dress up to his body as if to try it on before opening up a pale-yellow parasol and hefting it over his right-shoulder.

"Once we're quit of the curse, we'll be rich men, and you can buy an eye what fits and is made of glass." Pintel says

"This one does splinter something terrible." Ragetti says rubbing his wooden eye with his right-hand

"Stop rubbing it!" Pintel says

Bo'sun walks by and stops for a moment, turning to Pintel and Ragetti on his right as they faced him, but says nothing and just rolls his eyes with an annoyed groan before going off to his task. As soon as Bo'sun leaves, Pintel whacks Ragetti in the gut with his parasol for their awkward situation, making Devon scoff with a smirk and Luna giggle as they continued spying on the pirates.

Back outside, Jack Sparrow and Will Turner made their own way through the dark caves in their longboat with Will holding lantern with a long pole at the front of the wooden vessel, while Jack sat with his back-to-back at the rear, rowing the boat with his oars. During the crossing, Will noticed a skeleton laying flat on its stomach in the grotto with a sword in its back and a crab crawling next to it.

"What code is Gibbs to keep if the worst should happen?" Will asks glancing back over his right-shoulder

"Pirates' Code. Any man who falls behind is left behind." Jack says glancing over his left-shoulder

"No heroes amongst thieves, eh?" Will says still looking over his shoulder

"You know, for having a bleak outlook on pirates, you're well on your way to becoming one. Sprung a man from a jail, commandeered a ship of the fleet, sailed with a buccaneer crew out of Tortuga..." Jack says

As they continue through the caves, Jack and Will look down over the left-side of their boat and gaze down at the glistening gold coins underneath the water.

"...and you're completely obsessed with treasure." Jack says

Soon, the longboat reaches the shore of the grotto, and the two men disembark.

"That's not true. I am not obsessed with treasure." Will says

Jack and Will meet up with Devon and Luna near their hiding spot and the pirate turns back to his right, facing the young man once more.

"Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate." Jack says

After saying that, the Pirate Captain turns to the Keyblade Wielder and his Night Fury dragoness.

"Barbossa and his pirates are definitely here, and it looks like they're preparing for something big." Devon whispers

Soon, the four heroes heard Barbossa's voice as he began with his speech.

"Gentlemen, the time has come!" Barbossa says

Loud cheers are heard from the pirates inside the Treasure Cave. Devon, Luna, Jack, and Will climbed up the rocks and peeked over the top, gazing into the large cavern and seeing all the pirates that were assembled. And in the center atop treasure heap infront of them stood their captain along with the stone chest and their blood sacrifice.

"Our salvation is nigh!" Barbossa says

The pirates cheered again.

"Our torment is near an end!" Barbossa says

Will looked over towards the center of the cave and saw the Governor's daughter standing alongside Barbossa.

"Elizabeth." Will says

"She's alright." Devon says

Despite the danger she was in, Elizabeth stood calm and quiet as Barbossa continued his speech.

"For ten years we've been tested and tried, and each man here has proved his mettle a hundred times over, and a hundred times again!" Barbossa says gesturing to the pirates below him with his left index finger and swinging it from right to left before raising both hands above him

The pirates cheered again, raising their torches, swords and axes.

"Suffered, I have!" Ragetti says

"Punished we were, the lot of us, disproportionate to our crime!" Barbossa says pointing toward Ragetti with his right index finger and gesturing to the rest of his crew before pounding down his open left-hand four times with his other hand

The pirates all nod their heads, murmuring in agreement.

"Here it is!" Barbossa says

Barbossa turns to the stone chest behind him and kicks off the lid with his right-foot, which falls over the side and lands with a thud as he reveals the ancient treasure. Being close to the chest, Elizabeth gasps and jumps back. There inside were the hundreds of gold coins, each sharing the same Aztec design as the medallion. Walking infront of the chest, the Pirate Captain runs his right-hand along the gold.

"The cursed treasure of Cortés himself." Barbossa says

Barbossa gazes down at the treasure for a moment before facing rest of the pirates.

"Every last piece that went astray, we have returned. Save for this!" Barbossa says grabbing a handful of coins from the stone chest and dropping them back in before pointing to the medallion around Elizabeth's neck with his finger

Fearing for Elizabeth's safety, Will decides to take action. He begins to pull himself over the rocks, but Jack pulls him back down.

"Jack!" Will says

"Not yet!" Jack says

Will's right-hand brushes against a pile of gold coins, causing them to clink loudly against each other, though not enough for the pirates to hear over their cheering. Devon, Luna, Jack, and Will quickly climb down out of sight. Although the noise was not heard by the pirates, it did attract the attention of Barbossa's pet monkey since it had better hearing. The small creature looks back on its right to where the sound originated, then looks around the cave as it echoes everywhere. Behind their hiding spot, Jack holds up his right index finger to Will, asking for his patience.

"We wait for the opportune moment." Jack says

Jack moves around to the left to find a better position, and Devon, Luna, and Will follow him. However, Will was becoming impatient.

"When's that? When it's of greatest profit to you?" Will asks

Jack stops in his tracks and stood where he was for a moment before speaking to the young blacksmith.

"May I ask you something?" Jack asks

Jack turns back to his left and walks up close to Will Turner, getting right up in his personal space.

"Have I ever given you reason not to trust me?" Jack asks

Neither Devon, Luna, nor Will said anything.

"Do us a favor. I know it's difficult for you, but please stay here, and try not to do anything stupid." Jack says holding up his hands to Will

After having said that, the pirate turns to his right and scurries off to further implement his plan, while the blacksmith, the Keyblade Wielder, and his Night Fury watched him go.

"Who among us has paid the blood sacrifice owed to the heathen gods?" Barbossa asks

All the pirates cheered and raised their arms up high.

"And whose blood must yet be paid?" Barbossa asks

"Hers!" The pirates shout in unison pointing at Elizabeth with their hands and weapons

Jack quietly moves to the left end of the rocks and peeks around the side, carefully gazing out at the pirates.

"You know the first thing I'm going to do after the curse is lifted?" Barbossa asks

The villainous Pirate Captain turns to young maiden and looks upon her with a wicked smile on his face.

"Eat a whole bushel of apples!" Barbossa says

Grabbing the back of her neck with his left-hand, Barbossa forces Elizabeth lower to the stone chest and picks up the flint knife that was inside. The pirates all began chanting slowly for the blood ritual, but as their excitement increased, so did the speed of their chants, going faster and faster by the second.

"Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood! Blood!" The pirates chant in unison

"Begun by blood. By blood undone." Barbossa says

Behind his hiding spot, Jack was about to make his move when someone approached him from behind, hidden by the darkness of the cave. The pirate turned around to face him, and his eyes widened in shock and surprise when he saw who it was. Before Jack could react, he was knocked unconscious by a wooden oar to the head. Will Turner stepped out from the shadows with the oar in his hands.

"Sorry, Jack. I'm not going to be your leverage." Will says

After dealing with Jack, Will Turner tosses the oar aside and moves around the rocks to rescue Elizabeth, followed by Devon and Luna.

In the cave, Barbossa grabs the medallion with his left-hand and pulls it off from Elizabeth's neck, then places it in her left-hand. Using the flint knife, he slices into the young woman's hand, creating an open cut in the flesh of her palm.

"That's it?" Elizabeth whimpers

"Waste not." Barbossa says

Barbossa closes Elizabeth's hand, letting her blood soak onto the gold coin, then turns her hand over, positioning it directly over the stone chest. The chanting immediately stops, and all the pirates watch with anticipation. Soon, the young maiden opens her hand, and the bloodstained medallion falls in slo-motion through the air, flipping over seven times until it finally lands inside the chest. With the gold coin restored to the stone chest, Barbossa releases his grip on Elizabeth, steps back, spreads his arms out, and closes his eyes, expecting the curse to be lifted. The pirates all stood silent and looked themselves over, expecting to feel a change of some kind. As they do, Devon, Luna, and Will Turner stealthily move around to the right, hiding behind one or two rock columns as they make their way towards the back of the cave. After nearly a minute of silence, Barbossa opened his eyes and looks himself over as he and his crew pondered over the status of the curse.

"Did it work?" Koehler asks

I don't feel no different." Ragetti says

"How do we tell?" Pintel asks

To answer that question, Barbossa pulls out his pistol in his left-hand and shoots Pintel straight in the chest. Pintel glances down at the gunshot wound on his left breast in shock and surprise.

"You're not dead!" Koehler says

"No. You shot me!" Pintel exclaims looking over at Koehler on his right before pointing at Barbossa with his left index finger

"It didn't work!" A pirate says

"The curse is still upon us!" Twigg yells

The Pirate Captain stares at the blood on the flint knife for at least four seconds, then turns his gaze toward the young woman on his left.

"You, maid! Your father, what was his name? Was your father William Turner?!" Barbossa asks grabbing Elizabeth's arms and shaking her

"No." Elizabeth says

"Where's his child?! The child that sailed from England eight years ago! The child in whose veins flows the blood of William Turner! Where?!" Barbossa asks picking up the medallion from the chest

Elizabeth remained silent, refusing to answer. Enraged by this turn of events, Barbossa smacks her across the face with the back of his left-hand, knocking the young woman unconscious and causing her to fall over the back of the treasure heap along with the medallion, which lands infront of her on the gray sand.

"You two!" Bo'sun says looking over at Pintel and Ragetti

Pintel gasps as he and Ragetti turned to Bo'sun on their right.

"You brought us the wrong person!" Bo'sun says

The pirates all shout angrily in agreement.

"No! She had the medallion. She's of proper age." Pintel says

"She said her name was Turner. You 'eard 'er." Ragetti says

"I think she was lying to us." Another pirate says

While the pirates were busy arguing, Devon, Luna, and Will Turner slowly emerge from the waters of the cave behind the treasure heap, swimming over to Elizabeth. Will covers her mouth with his right-hand as she regains consciousness and puts his left index finger to his lips to keep her quiet. Elizabeth pushes herself up and grabs the medallion with her right-hand. The pirates soon turned their anger towards Barbossa.

"You brought us 'ere for nothin'!" Twigg yells raising the sword in his left-hand

Again, the pirates shout in anger.

"I won't take questioning or second-guesses, not from the likes of you, Master Twigg." Barbossa says

"Who's to blame him? Every decision you've made has led us from bad to worse!" Koehler says

"It was you who sent Bootstrap Bill to the depths!" A pirate yells pointing his left index finger at his captain

As the accusations continued to fly, Will Turner emerges out of the water, holding Elizabeth's left-hand with Devon and Luna right behind them as they move quietly around the side of the cave. Barbossa's pet monkey, which was perched up on a small open chest of gold coins, was the first to notice the quartet as they sneak past and points to them with its right finger, screeching out in alarm with its monkey voice, but the pirates were too busy in their argument to even hear the small furry creature.

"And it was you who brought us here in the first place!" Bo'sun says taking three steps forward and drawing his cutlass

The Pirate Captain brandished his own sword and stood his ground, challenging the crew to fight him.

"If any coward here dare challenge me, let him speak!" Barbossa says

No one said a word since nobody dared to fight a skilled swordsman like Barbossa.

"I say we cut her throat and spill all her blood, just in case." Koehler says

"Yeah!" Bo'sun and the other pirates shout in agreement

However, before the pirates could do anything, Barbossa hears his monkey's screeches and saw that it was pointing out toward the cave's entrance. Looking over, he saw Devon, Luna, Will, and Elizabeth trying to sneak their way past.

"You there!" Barbossa says

Devon, Luna, Will, and Elizabeth froze and turned to face the pirates for a moment, then took off running. Barbossa noticed the medallion in Elizabeth's grip and his eyes widened in shock.

"The medallion! Get after them, you feckless pack of ingrates!" Barbossa shouts

Scrambling into action, the cursed pirates all run and chase after the quartet, pursuing them through the tunnel and into the cave grotto. While Devon, Will, and Elizabeth kept going, Luna slides to a stop and turns around to her right, facing the pirates. Taking a deep breath and charging up her firepower for three seconds, the female Night Fury unleashes a powerful stream of blue flames, stopping the pirates in their tracks, then runs off to catch up with her rider, the blacksmith, and the young woman. By the time the pirates get past the flames, the quartet were long gone. They rush to board the longboats in the grotto to pursue them, but they run into a major problem.

"The oars have gone missing! Find them!" Bo'sun shouts

As they cursed pirates look around for the oars, a dazed Jack Sparrow rises up onto his feet after regaining consciousness and wanders into the grotto with an oar in his right-hand. Ragetti was the first to notice his presence as he turns to his left.

"You." Ragetti says

Pintel, Bo'sun, Twigg, Koehler, and the rest of the pirates turn to face their former captain, surprised to see him alive after they had marooned him all those years ago.

"You're supposed to be dead!" Pintel says

"Am I not?" Jack asks

Jack turns around to his right to make his exit, only to find his path blocked by pirates as they come up behind him. He turns back to his left and faces Pintel, Ragetti, and the other pirates as they point their weapons at him. With no way out, Jack thought of the one thing that would save him, but he forgot what it was called.

"Pearlie. Per-lay-lee-loo-loo. Par-lay-lee... Parsnip... Parsley... Par... Partner... Pardoner..." Jack says

"Parley?" Ragetti says

"That's the one! Parley! Parley!" Jack says

"Parley?" Pintel says looking over at Ragetti on his left

Pintel looks back at Jack with an angry expression. He really hated that safe word.

"Damn to the depths whatever muttonhead thought up parley!" Pintel growls angrily

"That would be the French." Jack says lowering Pintel's pistol with his left-hand and pointing to him with his left index finger

After escaping the Barbossa and his cursed crew of pirates, Devon, Luna, Will Turner, and Elizabeth make it back to the Interceptor as they land on the main deck, having flown from the island on Luna's back. The Keyblade Wielder and the blacksmith climb down from the dragon's saddle, then they both help the young woman down onto the deck as they take her hands. Elizabeth turns to her left and saw Sora, Donald, Goofy, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch, and the Motley Crew standing infront of them.

"Not more pirates." Elizabeth groans

"It's alright. They're with us." Hiccup says holding up his hands in the crew's defense

"Welcome aboard, Miss Elizabeth." Gibbs greets stepping forward with two steps

As she laid eyes on him, Elizabeth immediately recognizes Gibbs from her childhood.

"Mr. Gibbs?" Elizabeth says surprised

"Hey, boy, where be Jack?" Gibbs asks looking over at Will

"Yeah. Where is he?" Sora asks

"Jack? Jack Sparrow?" Elizabeth says looking at Devon, Luna, and Will at her left in surprise

"It's a long story." Luna says

Will remained silent for a moment until he gives his answer, feeling almost guilty.

"He fell behind." Will says

After saying that, Will heads down to the ship's hold with Elizabeth, wrapping his hands around her shoulders. The Motley Crew and the world-travelers stood in shock and silence, save for the squawks of Cotton's parrot and Stormfly, and the soft growls of Toothless, Meatlug, Hookfang, and Barf and Belch, who were actually concerned for Captain Jack Sparrow. Honoring Jack's instructions, Gibbs turn to the crew and gives out an order.

"Keep to the Code." Gibbs says

"Weigh anchor! Hoist the sails! Split-quick, you dibbies!" Anamaria shouts

While the Motley Crew move to get the ship going, Gibbs kept his gaze toward the island. He knew Jack Sparrow was a survivor, but still he was concerned for his captain. Devon, Sora, and Luna joined Gibbs on his right as they looked out at the island, sharing their concern for the pirate that helped them.

"You think Jack will be alright?" Sora asks

"If Jack can survive being marooned on an island for days without food or water, I bet he can handle someone like Barbossa." Devon says

"Aye. Jack Sparrow is a natural born survivor. He can work his way out of any situation, no matter how ill it bodes for him. Still... it has me concerned for the captain's safety." Gibbs says

"Well, in any case, we should get Elizabeth back to Port Royal, put as much distance as we can between ourselves and Barbossa's crew. Knowing them, they'll be coming after us." Devon says turning to Gibbs

The Keyblade Wielder glances back ovee his left-shoulder at Isla de Muerta one last time.

"Hopefully, Jack can find a way to escape." Devon says

Back in the Treasure Cave, Barbossa approaches his former captain as he stood in the midst of the pirates, leaning against the wooden oar in his hands. Needless to say, he was surprised to see him alive and well.

"How the blazes did you get off that island?" Barbossa asks

"When you marooned me on that godforsaken spit of land, you forgot one very important thing, mate. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow."

"Ah. Well, I won't be making that mistake again." Barbossa says

Barbossa glances back over his right-shoulder and turns to the pirates that surrounded them.

"Gents, you all remember Captain Jack Sparrow." Barbossa says

"Aye." The pirates say in unison nodding their heads

"Kill him." Barbossa says

The cursed crew all happily cocked and aimed their pistols at their former captain, preparing to shoot him, while he stood perfectly calm. As Barbossa turns to walk away, Jack mentions the blood ritual.

"The girl's blood didn't work, did it?" Jack says

Hearing that made Barbossa stop dead in his tracks. Perceiving the motives of his rival, he shouts an order to his crew.

"Hold your fire!" Barbossa commands turning back to his left

Pintel huffed in disappointment and he and the rest of the pirates lower their pistols. Barbossa walks over to Jack and nods his head with an amused smile.

"You know whose blood we need." Barbossa says

Jack smiled as he stared at his old nemesis, knowing he had gained the upper hand.

"I know whose blood you need." Jack says
