In this chapter Jordan will help her boyfriend Lincoln.

Lets get to it

The next day, the Loud sisters and parents were back in the living room.

Lincoln had shown no improvement today. He was still depressed.

They were all waiting for Lincoln's girlfriend Jordan to arrive. They felt maybe she could help him.

Jordan soon burst through the front door.

"Where's Lincoln?" She asked.

"He's in his room." Lori answered.

Jordan then went upstairs and entered Lincoln's room.

Lincoln was still just looking at the floor.

Jordan was saddened seeing her boyfriend so depressed. She sat next to him on his bed.

The two of them didn't know it, but the others were on the other side of the door listening in.

"Lincoln, are you ok?" Jordan asked.

Lincoln shook his head.

"I was too late, Jordan." Lincoln said. "I can fly fast enough to break the sound barrier but I still couldn't reach them on time."

"Lincoln, you were saving a plane." Jordan told him. "You didn't just let them die."

"I still couldn't save them." Lincoln said. "All this time, I thought I was making a difference in the world. I thought I was helping people out. Turns out I failed."

Lincoln looked at his girlfriend.

"Superboy was never real." He said sadly. "Just the dream of a kid from Royal Woods."

"Your dream has done so much, Lincoln." Jordan told her boyfriend. "Look at all the good deeds you've done."

Jordan then got off the bed and opened the drawer he kept his Superboy suit. She took the suit out and pointed to the symbol on the chest.

"This means something, remember?" Jordan asked.

"Yes, it meant something on krypton." Lincoln answered. "Krypton doesn't exist anymore."

Lincoln looked back down at the floor.

"I just have to face it." Lincoln said. "I was never a hero, I was just a showoff."

Jordan was heartbroken hearing her boyfriend talk like this about himself. She sat back down next to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"Lincoln, you are no showoff." Jordan told him. "You are a hero 100%. You've saved the world from Trova-tron. You saved your family when this house caught on fire. You defeated Darkness. You stopped The Slicer from taking over the world."

Lincoln looked up at his girlfriend, and she saw that tears were starting to well up in his eyes.

"Lincoln, you are an inspiration to the world." Jordan continued. "You are a hero. You're my hero."

Finally the dam burst. Lincoln hugged Jordan as he burst out crying. Jordan shed a few tears as well as she hugged him back and comforted him.

"I'm sorry, Jordan." Lincoln wailed. "It just hurts that I was too late yesterday."

"I know." Jordan soothed. "But just remember, it wasn't your fault. You didn't start the fire. You didn't lock the family in the burning house. So this was absolutely not your fault."

"I know." Lincoln sobbed. "I just wish I could have saved them."

"I know, Lincoln." Jordan said. "You are just consumed by sadness. Just let everything out. I'll be right here."

His girlfriends words made him cry harder. Jordan cried as well as they both hugged each other and Jordan continued to comfort him.

On the other side of the door, he family was heartbroken hearing Lincoln talk this was about himself.

"How can Linky say that about himself?" Leni asked with tears in her eyes.

"He's depressed, Leni." Lori answered. "When someones depressed, they're often not thinking clearly."

"How do we make him feel better?" Lana asked.

"We just need to be there for Lincoln." Rita answered. "With time, Lincoln will feel better."

"I hope so." Lynn said. "I hate seeing my brother so depressed."

"We all do, dude." Luna said.

Back with Lincoln and Jordan, Jordan's tears stopped soon. She continued consoling her boyfriend as he continued to cry. After about five more minutes, Lincoln stopped crying.

"Jordan, I know you're right about everything." Lincoln said. "I was just depressed about what happened."

"I know, Linky." Jordan said. "It may be a few days until you're better. But I'll be right here for you."

For the first time since the tragedy, Lincoln smiled.

"You always know what to say." Lincoln said. "I would truly be nothing without you."

"I would be nothing without you either." Jordan said. "I love you, Linky."

"I love you too, Jordan." Lincoln said.

Lincoln and Jordan then made out.

Lincoln knew that with his family and girlfriend, he could recover.

Lincoln sure is lucky to have Jordan as his girlfriend.
