At night, Aisha was lying on the bed in the hospital. She couldn't help but recalled about the events after her fight with the Synthezoid and Endeavor's fight with Nomu.
[Flashback]
Dabi walked toward the alarming Endeavor, Hawks, Aisha, and Ophelia once the surrounding smoke cleared the area.
"Well, I wasn't expecting to find you here." Dabi smiled sinisterly.
Dabi surrounded Endeavor, Hawks, Aisha, and Ophelia with his blue flames. But Dabi wasn't alone. Nightshade stood on the edge of the building rooftop from above.
"League of Villains…Dabi." Endeavor sneered angrily. "You killed Snatch. He was a good hero."
"Snatch, huh?" Dabi asked with a menacing grin. "That doesn't ring a bell. Why don't we forget about him and have a friendly chat? Who knows when we'll get another chance."
Endeavor struggled to push himself up and fight Dabi, but he grunted and fell on his knees due to his injuries.
"Endeavor, you're in no condition to fight anymore." Ophelia said.
"She's right. You can't fight like this. Just recover your strength for now. We'll take care of this guy." Hawks said. "I only have small feathers left, but I should be able to buy us some time."
"Aw, no need for heroics." Dabi complained calmly. "The only reason I'm here is to retrieve my fallen Nomu. But of course, did you heroes really think I came here alone?"
Then, Nightshade landed next to Dabi and joined the fiery battlefield.
"Long time, eh, Aisha?" Nightshade asked with a smirk. "I was here to retrieve the robot, but let's have some fun. Just you and me."
Aisha narrowed her eyes before standing up on her feet.
"Aisha." Ophelia said.
"It's okay. I'm not out yet. I can take her on." Aisha said.
"She's right. We have...unfinished business." Nightshade said.
Aisha and Nightshade floated in mid-air with glaring faces. They both emitted themselves in aura of their Quirks and quickly rammed towards each other high above in the air. Aisha created a large crescent blade of psychokinetic energy and sent it flying straight at Nightshade, who easily moved out of the way. Nightshade began rotating her left arm in a clockwise direction and condensed into ten umbrakinetic balls around her before directing them one by one to hit Aisha's position, but Aisha easily avoided each umbrakinetic ball with remarkable speed. Nightshade shot out umbrakinetic blasts to attack Aisha, but Aisha swiftly protected herself from the villainess's attack with her Ghost Quirk.
"I mean, no way I could win this fight, right?" Dabi grinned deliriously and started lunging Endeavor, Hawks, and Ophelia with his lit-up flames in one hand. "Unless the top two heroes and a hopeless bystander were bloodied and beaten already!"
As Dabi was about to unleash his blue flames, a familiar figure came flying through the air. It was a rabbit hero Mirko. Mirko crashed her powerful kick down onto the ground, creating a powerful explosion that stopped Dabi in his tracks.
"Saw the news and hopped over!" Mirko yelled with a smirk as she hopped back in the air. She turned her head to Dabi. "Patchwork, you and ninja girl are part of the League, huh? I'll kick your butts!"
Aisha and Nightshade kept charging forward and clashing instantly with their Quirks until Aisha found an opportunity to strike Nightshade from above. Aisha kicked Nightshade's chest away that sent her flying down next to Dabi. Aisha's kick also knocked Nightshade's mask off her face just as Aisha flew back between Ophelia and Endeavor.
Nightshade glared at Aisha in anger, but her eyes turned to the rabbit hero in surprise.
"Man. And things were just getting good." Dabi complained. "Do it, Ujiko."
A black, ink-like substance emerged from Dabi's mouth.
Hawks, Endeavor, Ophelia, Aisha, and Mirko stared in an absolute mix of shock and surprise.
"See ya later, Number One." Dabi taunted with a dark smile. "I'm sure we'll have time to have a heart-to-heart someday. I look forward to it. Until then, try not to disappoint. And don't you dare get killed, Enji Todoroki!"
Without no hesitation, Nightshade pressed a black button on her golden bracelet and engulfed herself into a large black spherical capsule.
"Don't think for a second we're finished here, Aisha Rozu! We'll meet again very soon!" Nightshade shouted at Aisha. "Since I know your real name, you should know mine. My name is Kyra! My father Zircon told me about what your mother did to mine. And the next time we meet, it's my turn to return the favor!"
Mirko went crashing down towards Dabi and Nightshade once again.
"Tell us where your friends are!" Mirko yelled.
Mirko lunged forward and attempted one last attack at Dabi and Nightshade. But the flaming villain vanished instantly that ended Mirko kicking only the warping liquid substance just before the umbrakinetic villainess vanished high into the sky at fast speed.
The blue flames disappeared as Mirko landed on her feet to the ground.
"Vanished." Mirko said as she turned to Hawks and Endeavor. "It's the same way they bounced out of Camino that day!"
"Whatever the case, we managed to stop that juiced up Nomu and the robot." Hawks said to Endeavor.
"Idiot." Endeavor said. "This is just the beginning."
[Flashback Ends]
Aisha woke up from her recalling memory. She knew that Endeavor's words of meeting the villains once again in the future, but she couldn't stop shaking about Nightshade's words of declaration. Her mother Amazonite killed Nightshade's mother for who knows how many years ago? She doesn't know why Nightshade would accuse Amazonite like that, but she's going to get to the bottom of it.
Meanwhile, Hawks irritatedly held a sword-like feather up against Dabi's neck inside an unknown warehouse. Before Nightshade could make a move, a familiar robotic automaton appeared in front of her and blocked her path once Rhina snapped her fingers.
"Don't you even think about it stepping in." Rhina said to Nightshade.
"That wasn't how you said things would play out." Hawks snapped at Dabi.
"Oh, is that a fact?" Dabi questioned.
I'd prefer it if you and I get along better, Dabi." Hawks said.
"Though you only had small feathers left after that battle." Dabi pointed out.
Hawks narrowed his eyes with a dark face.
"If I'm going to meet a liar in a secret location, I'm not coming unarmed." Hawks sneered with a dark glare. "The fight was supposed to go down at a warehouse tomorrow. Instead, you unleashed a Nomu in the middle of the city. One on a totally different level than the others we've faced. If we're going to trust each other, you have to keep me up to date."
"I guess I had a sudden change of heart." Dabi snickered. "But I did give you advance warning I wanted to test the new Nomu in the field. Besides, you're not without blame yourself. You said you'd bring a random pro along. I didn't expect the number one hero. Now that's not very fair."
"Your beast gave Endeavor severe injuries. I figured you'd be thrilled to give him such a work out." Hawks said. "I did what you asked of me. You're the only one who broke a promise here."
"Think of it as me testing out pet pro to see if I can actually trust his word." Dabi said. He moved Hawk's feather sword away from his neck. "I couldn't help but notice you saved a couple of bystanders. You came to us saying you sympathize with our cause, yet you fought so hard today."
"I'm no good to you if this hero community loses its faith in my work." Hawks reminded. He lowered his sword down at his side. "The more they trust me, the more intel I'll be able to collect on them. You know that unless you're incapable of thinking long-term."
Dabi started walking past Hawks and Rhina.
"Everything I do is in the name of advancing the League." Hawks said. "Got it?"
"Sure." Dabi said. "Say that all you want, but I can't let you see the boss yet. I'll be in touch, partner."
"So, what happen to you and your sisters, Rhina?" Nightshade asked, looking back at Rhina.
"After Carina's defeat, the heroes arrested my sisters while I was able to escape scot-free." Rhina explained. "Thanks to my last surviving robot, I was able to lay low from the heroes before making my way back to you and the League."
"And I'm sure your other remaining sister will be happy to see you again." Nightshade remarked mockingly. She walked away from the robotic automaton and followed after Dabi. "Until then, I'll inform you any updates from Aurora."
After Dabi and Nightshade exited the door, Hawks and Rhina silently exchanged nods.
Unknown to Dabi and Nightshade, Hawks and Rhina's plan was to infiltrate the League of Villains and the Amarante Coven, gathering information on the villains' Quirks and the artificial Nomus/Machinas. The Public Safety Commission assigned Hawks this mission because they're aware of his resolve since he doesn't care for image or fame. Rhina, on the other hand, was assigned by Tarot Chariot herself due to her insight with the villains before reformed to the good side. That makes them the best pick for the double agent role. Together, they will fix their eyes on the greater good and strive for it.
On the warehouse rooftop, Nightshade was overlooking the illuminating city from the distance. But she was actually fixated on a dilapidated picture of her father with a sad expression on her face. She recalled Zircon telling her that he and her mother were happy together until Amazonite killed her in a jealous rage. Her sad expression then changed into anger and looked up at the city as she was determined to finish what her father started and avenge her deceased mother.
"That psychic hero took away someone I cared about." Nightshade said in a dangerous tone. "When we meet at last, I'll be the one who will return the favor and avenge my mother."
On the second day of Aisha's hospital rest, Aisha and Ophelia exited the hospital. When Aisha was sent to the hospital after her fight with Nightshade, Ophelia had been visiting and comforting her little sister, who was either eating food and sleeping on her bed. Thanks to Recovery Girl's successful efforts, Aisha's injuries were healed and she was ready to leave early.
"I'm glad you got discharged early." Ophelia said. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you back there."
"Don't feel down, sis." Aisha said. "I'm responsible for my own injuries. But, at least, I know that the robot and Nightshade are connected. Was that really a coincidence that our mother connects to Nightshade somehow?"
"We can worry about that later. You need to get some rest." Ophelia said. "Because I know you want to check on Endeavor earlier, but he's still in recovery."
"I will." Aisha replied.
Aisha enveloped herself and Ophelia in psychokinetic glow before soaring in the air all the way to their household. Ophelia looked on with concern as she recalled her memory with their mother.
[Flashback]
Ophelia was on the phone with Amazonite in the hospital. She explained everything about Aisha's brawling fight with the Synthezoid and Nightshade.
"I knew it would come to this." Amazonite said firmly. "This is all because Nightshade believes that I kill someone that she truly cares about."
"But that's not true, right, mother?" Ophelia asked.
"No. It's...complicated." Amazonite replied. Her voice then became serious. "The truth is almost as difficult."
"Please, mother. Trust me." Ophelia pleaded softly. "Your hero career is on the line. I need the truth. Not just me, but for Aisha and our family too."
Amazonite sighed. She knew deeply that Ophelia was right. She took a deep breath before speaking to her eldest daughter.
"Long ago, after the split between me and your father, I fell in love with the man named Zircon, which I believe to be the one who sent that robot after your sister. When you were very young and lived with your father, Zircon and I ended up having a child of our own." Amazonite explained.
Ophelia froze as if everything just stopped for a second.
"So that means...!" Ophelia gasped sharply.
"Nightshade...Kyra…is my daughter." Amazonite said firmly. "That fight won't be the first time we ever see her again. And when that that time comes, she will know the truth."
"I think you should also tell that truth to dad and my sisters, mother." Ophelia suggested. "They have to know too. Keeping a secret like this won't end well."
With a heavy sigh, Amazonite agreed.
[Flashback Ends]
Later that evening, the Rozu family gathered together in the living room of their residence. Ophelia, Aisha, Dawn, Ezra, and Zaria sat on the couch while Vondergeist stood next to Amazonite. They are ready to listen what Amazonite have to say to them as Vondergeist and Aisha could already tell the news seems to be dire from Amazonite's face.
"This is difficult for you all, but it's time you all should know the truth." Amazonite said. "The daughter I had thought I had lost in the fire...Kyra is actually Nightshade. I thought she had perished out of my sight, but Zircon stole Kyra away from me and raised her as a deadly villain to finish me off."
Amazonite's words left her whole family shock in disbelief.
"So, all this time we have a long-lost sister?" Dawn, Ezra, and Zaria asked in shock.
"And you know about it, did you?" Aisha asked Ophelia.
"When I told her everything before you were sent to the hospital, mom told me the real truth." Ophelia answered. "Trust me, I was shock as you are."
"Mom, even if it's true, there's no way she's going to come with us that easily. I mean, what if she doesn't come to our side?" Aisha asked her mother.
"I don't know, but there has to be some good in her heart." Amazonite said, looking at an old family photo of her and an infant Kyra. "She must know the truth no matter what."
"Perhaps, one day she will believe the truth one day." Vondergeist said as he went over to hug his wife. "But that is her choice to decide. And when she's ready to join us, we can finally make things right."
Amazonite smiled warmly at her husband and returned the hug.
"For now, we celebrate Aisha's victory." Vondergeist said.
"Oh yeah!" Zaria agreed with a smile.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"I wonder who that could be." Amazonite wondered.
"I got it." Aisha said.
Aisha walked to the front door and opened the door to see Shoto standing outside.
"Oh, hey, Shoto." Aisha greeted. She stepped outside and closed the door from behind. "What's…?"
Shoto quickly wrapped his arm around Aisha and squeezed her tightly.
"Shoto…" Aisha said.
"I took time out of school to come see you after I saw the news about that fight." Shoto said. "I was overwhelmed by that robot when it attacked you, but that power you unleash…it was incredible." He released his hug and looked at Aisha with surprised eyes. "I've never known your Quirk has that amazing capability to do something like that."
"Trust me, I was shock myself when that happen." Aisha said. "I can't explain it, but it was like something increase my Quirk into high levels that allow me to do the impossible. It was kinda scary, but amazing at the same time."
"Despite that robot's strength, I was so relieved that you came out victorious." Shoto said. "Not only I thought that I've lost my father, but…the one I cared about since we were only kids thinking of becoming heroes that we wanted to be."
Aisha smiled softly.
Before Aisha can say anything, Shoto then leaned in and pecked a kiss on Aisha's cheek, making her eyes widen wide for that unexpected move. Aisha stared at Shoto for a second and closed her eyes as she pressed her lips against his. Shoto wrapped his arms around Aisha's waist and embraced the kiss.
Vondergeist, Amazonite, Ophelia, Dawn, Ezra, and Zaria observed the scene with wide smiles on their faces from a nearby window.
"Bold move, you two." Ophelia said.
For brief seconds, Shoto and Aisha released the kiss and they both smiled.
"You think your family will know?" Shoto asked.
"Oh, trust me, they already know." Aisha said.
Aisha gestured her thumb to the nearby window, causing her parents and her sisters to yelp and duck away.
Under the starry night, Luna was sleeping peacefully into her dorm room. Earlier, she has been training to master Divine Trinity with her mother as a fitness exercise. She managed to fight off her tiredness and took a shower in the girl's restroom. After that, Luna went back into her dorm room and slammed herself on the bed.
As soon as Luna fell into a deep sleep, she woke up in a strange realm. The entire realm carried a very calm and serene atmosphere along with gray walls and a translucent, metallic-looking white floor.
"Where…where am I? What is this place?" Luna wondered.
"Hello, granddaughter."
Luna turned around and stared in awe at a mysterious woman standing before her. The mysterious woman has fair cream skin, long white chest-length hair, and light grey eyes. She wore a white kimono with wide, bell-shaped sleeves and white high heeled dress sandals.
Luna instantly recognized her as her maternal grandmother: Oriana.
"Luna, you certainly have grown up." Oriana said with a greeting smile. "My name is Oriana, but I'm sure your mother Ursula already told you our family tree."
"Something like that." Luna replied, feeling slightly unconformable to meet her grandmother for the first time.
"I see." Oriana continued. "As the wielder of Divine Trinity, you are ready to unleash the true potential of that power into unimaginable possibilities. I know you have a lot of questions that are needed to be answered, but surely, you can understand why I'm here."
"Oh, I already know why you're here, Oriana." Luna snapped. "You can talk all you want, but I will never join you. And I won't let you convince me any other way."
"Heh, you're certainly are your mother's child." Oriana said with a small giggle. "It's a pity, how Ursula have chosen the path of a hero instead of ruling Japan with her family. She can hide from me all she wants, but she can't never hide from who she is."
"You're wrong!" Luna retorted. "She saw the error of your conquest and made her own path. She didn't hide anything since she rebelled against you."
"Oh, but didn't she ever tell you the existence of Divine Trinity before you enrolled to U.A. High?" Oriana questioned. "Did you know the true history of that power when you received your Quirk as a child?"
Luna stiffened. She thought recalling memories back to USJ, unknowingly unleashing Divine Trinity and battling Nomu and Celena, as she almost began to be convinced of Oriana's words.
"She…she's just trying to protect me." Luna muttered. "I…I didn't mean to. I was just…feeling angry…for what they were trying to do…with my dad."
"Isn't it obvious, granddaughter? Even though you've embedded yourself in a path of a hero, your birthright will always show you who you really are." Oriana said. "Stop forging your path of a hero because you can't never hide from who you are like your mother."
Luna collapsed on her knees and grasped her head in anguish.
Suddenly, Luna woke up from her dream in a cold sweat.
The pink triquetra mark appeared brightly on her forehead, causing the sudden rush of Divine Trinity's energy to travel through her body. That sudden rush abruptly cracked the glass on Luna's mirror into tiny pieces.
Luna breathed heavily as she stared at her semi-reflection of the mirror with wide eyes.
Enjoy and review.
