After brainwashing Shishida, Shinso made an advantageous move and released his capturing scarf to restrain Shishida. But Tsuburaba quickly fired out a cube of air and trapped Shinso in a soundproof box. Tsuburaba then smacked at the back of Shishida's head, breaking Shinso's brainwashing control over his teammate.
Then, Kaminari rushed forward towards Shishida in fast speed. But Shishida quickly grabbed him in his hand just as Tsuburaba jumped off of his teammate's back to avoid getting shocked from Kaminari's Quirk.
Kaminari unleashed his Quirk that gave Shishida a powerful electric shock. Unfortunately, Shishida managed to endure the pain from Kaminari's electrification with his augmented strength and violently threw Kaminari away through nearby pipes.
While Tsuburaba observed his beastly teammate in the air, Tsuyu launched her tongue out of her mouth and wrapped it around his entire body and his mouth. She then began hopping away, taking a restrained Tsuburaba straight towards Team 1-A's prison cell.
Shishida recovered from electrocution and began chasing after Tsuyu.
At the viewing area, both Class 1-A and 1-B students, along with their teachers, observed the battle on the monitoring screen.
"Man, he's strong." Aisha commented. "He didn't get incapacitated from Kaminari's Quirk."
"No doubt his strength must be greatly enhanced when he stimulated his Quirk." Luna said.
"You can do this, Tsu." Selene said.
On the battlefield, Kirishima recovered and rose up on his feet. He immediately transformed into his Red Riot Unbreakable form and punched his fist at Tsuburaba's Air Prison that only broke Koda free.
Kirishima and Koda caught the sight of Tsuyu hopping through them, informing them that she's having a hard time escaping from Shishida. Kirishima and Koda turned their heads at the charging Shishida and blocked his path in fighting stances while Tsuyu made her escape.
Kirishima hardens his body as Koda commanded a swarm of bugs around his hand. Koda and Kirishima proceeded to attack Shishida with their respective Quirks. But Shishida unexpectedly reverted back to his human form and effectively dodged their attacks. When Shishida slipped past the boys, he quickly reactivated his Quirk and grabbed both Koda and Kirishima with his huge hands. He then tossed Kirishima up into the air, sending him flying straight toward Ibara.
Ibara released her vines and easily captured Kirishima in an instant, taking him away to Team 1-B's prison cell.
On the monitoring screen, Kirishima and Tsuburaba were eliminated out of the match.
"What?! They caught my Red Riot!" Diana exclaimed in surprise.
"At least, Tsu restrained Tsuburaba to the jail cell." Selene stated.
"She's right. There are still four more students within both groups." Luna said.
Koda kept trying to free himself by punched Shishida's strong arm grip, which muffled his mouth to activate his Quirk.
Shishida started sniffing the air and detected both Tsuyu and Kaminari approaching him from opposite directions. Kaminari shot out disc-shaped pointers from his sharpshooting gear and Tsuyu launched her tongue, but Shishida jumped away and evaded their attacks. He then propelled away to Team 1-B's prison cell and placed Koda inside.
The monitoring screen displayed a two-to-one win for Class 1-B.
"Oh, what's this?" Vlad King said into the microphone with a large smirk on his face. "Class B is already pulling ahead! Each team has three competitors left, but it's obvious that Class B is setting themselves up for a win. I can't say I'm surprised, given their brains and brawn! My superior students are attacking furiously! Looks like they'll finally crush Class A!"
All Might, Tarot Chariot, Midnight, and Eraser Head silently sweatdropped with disapproved faces for Vlad King's biased commentary.
"Yeah, keep bringing the truth, Mr. Vlad!" Monoma yelled encouragingly.
Class 1-A, on the other hand, didn't appreciated the unfair commentary. Mina was holding up a sign while Jiro and Aoyama held a long sign together from behind.
"Stop with the biased commentary!" Mina snapped.
"And shut the hell up, Monoma!" Diana said, hitting Monoma repeatedly with a steel staff that Yaoyorozu managed to create.
"Chill, Diana." Selene said as she, Luna, and Aisha tried to calm down their hotblooded friend.
Kaminari and Tsuyu managed to break Shinso free from Tsuburaba's Air Prison with metal pipes. But the joint training battle wasn't over just yet.
Shishida, Ibara, and Hiryu gathered together to formulate their next strategy on defeating the three remaining Team 1-A.
Suddenly, Shishida turned his head away from his teammates and began sniffing the air with his nose. He informed Ibara and Hiryu that three "Tsuyus" are hearing their direction, which greatly confused his teammates. Three Team 1-B members are surprisingly aware that the opposing team are puzzling Shishida's sense of smell.
Ibara prepared herself and activated her vine Quirk.
Class 1-B students became confused with Shishida's statement.
"I don't get what Shishida's saying." Kaibara said. "She can't multiply herself like Mr. Ectoplasm does, right? There should only be one of her."
Luna silently knew exactly what Tsuyu's doing.
Of course. This was her plan. Luna thought in realization. I remember reading her Quirk from Midoriya's journal. She contains a toxic mucus and must've use it to coat Shinso and Kaminari to mask their scents from Class B. Nice trick, Tsu.
As Team 1-A continued running to the opposing team's location, several vines began shrouding across the battlefield.
Shishida sniffed the air with his nose, detecting the three remaining Team 1-A fanned out and heading to their direction. Ibara grabbed a hold of a target and began dragging them out, which revealed to be Kaminari with only one arm out in the vines. But Ibara was prepared. She quickly surrounded a captured Kaminari with multiple layers of vines and completely trapped him. She then sprouted a thick wall of vines as a protective barrier.
Unfortunately, Kaminari looked through a small gap in Ibara's Crucifixion. His eyes caught the sight of the pointer stuck on Shishida's pants that is within ten meters range. He fired his electricity discharge flying straight towards Shishida, but Hiryu quickly shot his scale and knocked Kaminari's pointer off of Shishida's leg. That allowed Ibara to encloses Kaminari completely within the vine sphere.
Then suddenly, Ibara's face turned into a completely spaced-out expression.
What Shishida and Hiryu doesn't know is that Shinso was hiding somewhere nearby. He used his mask-like device to imitate Hiryu's voice. It was actually a clever strategy formulated by Kaminari, who served as a distraction and allowed himself to be captured on purpose, and allowing Tsuyu and Shinso to get close enough to Team 1-B.
Shishida began to locate Shinso with his sense of smell, leaving Hiryu alone with the brainwashed Ibara.
Then, Tsuyu's tongue wrapped around the brainwashed Ibara around, lifting her onto the rooftop out of Hiryu's range. Hiryu then lifted his arms and discharged volleys of scales at Tsuyu, who hopped away to avoid the scales. While Shishida ignored his paranoid teammate into a pipe complex, Tsuyu slammed her feet into the distracted Hiryu.
Meanwhile, Shishida began destroying the pipes towards Shinso's location. He found Shinso hiding behind several large pipes, closing the small standoff between them. As soon as Shinso spoke in Hiryu's voice, Shishida was prepared to attack him. But Shinso swiftly launched his capturing scarf and wrapped it around a large pipe, dragging it and landing it on Shishida's head.
Shishida moaned in pain, but he managed to endure the impact and prepares to attack Shinso again.
Then suddenly, Tsuyu swung her tongue and launched Hiryu that sent him flying towards the back of Shishida's head. That sudden collision knocked both Shishida and Hiryu out unconscious to the ground.
After that, Team 1-A successfully dragged three defeated Class B students to their jail cell.
The first Joint Training match was concluded. On the monitoring screen, Class A had won the match with a 4-2 victory.
"WOO-HOO! HELL YEAH!" Diana cheered happily.
"Shinso's amazing." Selene commented.
"And judging by the binding cloth and his voice changing support item, Eraser Head has definitely been training him extremely hard since the Sports Festival." Aisha said, placing her hands on her hips.
"It is because of his cooperation with Asui and Kaminari's quick thinking." Luna pointed out. "Their teamwork allowed them to win. Thanks to Asui's mucus and Shinso's vocal modifier, they were able to dominate the fight with the right amount of time by using the other team's paranoia against them."
"A clever strategy, indeed." Selene agreed.
"Despite their failures, the team of Class A plus Shinso are the winners!" Vlad King announced through gritted teeth.
