With conclusion of the second round, Luna and her friends observed the performance compared to the previous match. They overheard from Aizawa and Vlad King that Kinoko's mushrooms will take approximately two hours to disappear, suggesting their Class A classmates to take a break for now.
"I'm not gonna lie, but that match went a little overboard than the previous one." Selene said.
"You said it." Aisha agreed.
Momona's boasting laughter made Selene, Luna, Aisha, and Diana turn their heads to him.
"That match was an overwhelming victory for the superior Class!" Momona shouted. "Just like at the school festival, Class B is certain to come out on top! It couldn't be more obvious! Aw, you poor losers, no need to look so frustrated! It's not your fault! We're just better! Accept inferiority!"
As Momona began cackling, Kendo walked up and knocked him out with her signature karate chop before dragging him away.
"Apologies." Kendo apologized.
"Why's this has to be a running gag between them?" Diana said with narrow eyes.
"Don't know, but it gets very amusing every time." Aisha said with a grin.
During the break, Class 1-A and Class 1-B students began relaxing and complimenting each other's improvements. Luna even spotted Izuku updating his hero notebook, making her smile for his observation on the first and second matches' mental growth and the teams' Quirk improvement. After watching the first two matches, Luna's aware that Class 1-A and Class 1-B are factoring in attitudes and mental strength that will successfully lead to better performances on the battlefield as future heroes.
Then, Tarot Chariot approached Luna from behind.
"Luna, may I have a moment with you for a sec?" Tarot Chariot asked.
"Yeah, sure." Luna said.
Luna turned around and walked away with Tarot Chariot.
"Luna has been chatting with her mom lately." Diana commented.
"Well, Chariot's been helping Luna a lot with her Quirk every day." Aisha pointed out. "At least, that's what Luna told me."
"No doubt it has something to do with the Divine Trinity." Selene said. "Especially when Luna did show us her Exofists."
"I know. They're so cool." Diana grinned.
In a noiseless corner, Tarot Chariot and Luna started chatting about Luna's mysterious dream.
"Have you experience anything bizarre in your Quirk since that night?" Tarot Chariot asked.
"No." Luna replied. "Why? Is there something else I should know?"
"Not really." Tarot Chariot replied. "It's just…for throughout my whole life with Divine Trinity, I've never heard of a Quirk activation acting spontaneous before. I'll ask your father if he has any info on that spontaneous experience when he used to wield One For All."
"That could work." Luna said. "Any information will help."
"And be careful in your sixth battle coming up." Tarot Chariot warned. "You may have better control on your Exofists, but I still want you to be on high alert. Especially since you and your friends are going up against Morganite's new sidekicks. Who knows what kind of Quirks they got."
"Got it." Luna said with a nod.
Suddenly, Katsuki appeared behind Luna.
"First, Deku and All Might. And now you two?" Katsuki spoke.
Luna turned around, completely unfazed by her boyfriend's sudden presence.
"Oh, hey, Bakugo." Luna greeted.
"You know, if you two keep sneaking around like this, someone's gonna know." Katsuki reminded. "So, how are you feeling after last night?"
"I feel fine, but still cautious about my Quirk though." Luna responded.
"And I like to thank you for keeping an eye on her and concern for her well-being." Tarot Chariot said.
"Sure, no problem." Katsuki said. He looked back at Luna. "Just like I told Deku, I've got stronger since the last time we fought, so you'd better be keeping up. Improve your Quirk and master Divine Trinity."
"You don't have to worry about it. I always keep myself from falling behind." Luna assured with a smile. "Thanks for the encouragement, Bakugo."
Luna leaned close and kissed Katsuki on the cheek, making him blush by the move.
Who knows Bakugo can be considerate. I mean, in his own special way, that is. Tarot Chariot thought. She looked up at the sky. Seeing my daughter connecting to the maternal vestiges of Divine Trinity has really got me intriguing. But for now, I need to do some research.
"The third match will take place in an area two blocks east of where the previous rounds were held." Vlad King announced. "The cages have been moved to your new bases. This little breather is over! Prepare for the third training battle!"
Round Three: Mashirao Ojiro, Shoto Todoroki, Mezo Shoji, and Tenya Ida vs. Pony Tsunotori, Sen Kaibara, Juzo Honenuki, and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
"Well, talk about a balanced team for our classmates." Selene commented. "Iida's unrivaled speed, Shoji's powerful detection capabilities, Ojiro's excellent close combat skills, and Todoroki's dual ice and fire element attacks."
"It's gonna be an easy win, for sure." Diana said confidently.
"Let's hope so." Aisha thought with a cautious look. "We all know about Tetsutetsu's Quirk, but as for the other three, we'll soon find out."
"You're right about that." Luna agreed.
Before Shoto followed his teammates, he looked at Aisha and waved at her with a smile. Aisha waved back with a good luck smile.
On the monitoring screen, Team 1-A headed out into the arena. Iida was feeling more upbeat, which caught the attention to Shoji, Ojiro, and Shoto. Selene let out a warm smile for Iida's positive confidence.
On Team 1-B's side, Tetsutetsu suddenly began tearing his way through the pipelines with his steel Quirk because he excitedly wanted to charge straight for Class 1-A, declaring that challenging the opposing team into a head-on fight is the only possible option to win the match. But his shocked classmates strongly disagreed with Tetsutetsu's approach.
Vlad King watched as Tetsutetsu demolished the pipelines.
"Okay. Maybe I should start shouting directly in the kid's face." Vlad King muttered regretfully.
Tetsutetsu's thrashing method unintentionally exposed their location to the Team 1-A. Shoji duplicated his tentacles into ears and started listening to the source of that loud commotion. Thanks to Shoji's scouting Quirk, Team 1-A started advancing straight towards the opposing team's location.
While Tsunotori and Kaibara continued watching Tetsutetsu wrecking down the pipelines, Honenuki had already began touching different areas with his Quirk. He attentively predicted that Team 1-A will send Shoji to scout their position and then used Shoto to perform a direct attack on him and his classmates.
And just as Honenuki has anticipated, Shoto activated his Quirk and instantly immobilized Team 1-B with a huge ice wall all at once.
At the viewing area, Class 1-A and Class 1-B students are impressed by Shoto's power.
"Nice shot, Todoroki!" Diana said with a smile.
"He's gotten better with his ice." Aisha noted, placing her hands on her hips.
With Team 1-B confined in place, Iida and Ojiro quietly concealed themselves within the maze of pipes. As they quietly looked down on the battlefield, Iida immediately began running towards Team 1-B with an extremely fast speed. But when Iida stepped on a huge piece of ice, he suddenly found himself submerging through the softening ice.
Shoto, Ojiro, and Shoji stared in surprise as the giant ice wall and some of the pipelines began softening due to Honenuki's Quick activation, which effectively permitted his Class B teammates to free themselves. Ojiro immediately moved away into a retreat, but he unpredictably stepped on a pipe that instantly liquefied and lost his balance, giving away his position to Team 1-B.
"Class B does an excellent job of brushing off Todoroki's area attack! Now, to show their stuff!" Vlad King smiled.
"I've gotta say. That was very clever of Honenuki." Aisha said.
"He saw the possibility that Todoroki would use his ice on him and his team, and he took the opportunity to soften the area." Selene stated. "Since the Sports Festival, he definitely improved his strategy plan in seconds fast."
Now, Team 1-B initiated an all-out counterattack against Team 1-A.
Kaibara rotated his arms and legs into high-speed drills. He then rushed himself straight at Ojiro, who quickly protected himself against Kaibara's spinning arms with his tail. Ojiro silently knew that he won't be able to guard against his opponent's Quirk for long, so he kept on shielding himself with his tail when Kaibara continued bombarding his drilling thrusts at him, making him feel the intense damage from Kaibara's sheer force of his Quirk.
Seeing his teammate in trouble, Iida rushed to his classmate's rescue. But he suddenly lost his balance when he stepped on another area. He fell straight into the softened ice before sinking into it.
Honenuki cancelled his Quirk, solidifying Shoto's ice and trapping Iida within it. Ojiro kept protecting himself and dodging Kaibara's gyrating limbs.
Shoto looked greatly concerned. He was critically aware that his team's at their disadvantage. He cannot help Ojiro and Iida because he has to protect Shoji from the other members of Team 1-B.
Then suddenly, two flying horns came out of nowhere. They flew right past the surprised Shoto and launched straight around Shoji, carrying him away and separating him from Shoto. Once Tsunotori regenerated a pair of horns out of her head, she shot another set of horns locking around Shoji's tentacle arms and carried him off in quick speed before pinning him to a pipe.
With Shoto distracted by the capture of Shoji, Tsunotori launched two horns under Tetsutetsu's arms and propelled him straight towards Shoto's shield of ice at great speed. Tetsutetsu barreled through the ice barrier and grabbed Shoto's face and right arm before slamming him violently to the ground.
Team 1-A are currently becoming utterly overwhelmed by Team 1-B. Kaibara continuously attacked Ojiro with his gyrating limbs. Tsunotori pinned Shoji against the pipe with her horns. Tetsutetsu released his steel strength against Shoto. And Honenuki's Quirk solidified the ice, imprisoning Iida with his head poking out.
As Honenuki started to walk away, the torque and RPM of Iida's engines went into overdrive, causing his entire body to vibrate faster and faster. He propelled himself out of the ice and then zoomed towards the shocked Honenuki at an amazingly fast speed.
Luna, Diana, and Aisha looked at the monitoring screen with surprised faces. Only Selene looked on with a happy smile.
"A new move, Iida? Nice work on improving your Quirk." Selene said. "Your brother will be proud of you."
