Iida began running across the ice-encrusted battlefield, blitzing and shattering the solid ice with blinding speed. Thanks to his Recipro Turbo, his engines are increasing his horsepower while decreasing fuel consumption at the same time. But he can only use his technique to go beyond his limits for ten minutes.
Honenuki was having a hard time keeping track of his speedy opponent. Iida zoomed past Honenuki in different directions, but he wasn't able to land a clean hit on him. His Recipro Turbo technique allowed him to continue running for ten minutes, but it'll give him a hard time controlling his movements in the process. Iida kept shattering more ice with his rapid speed until he finally was able to stop running.
Iida caught the sight of his opponent in realization. He raced straight towards Honenuki, who placed his hands on the ice and softened them. But Iida missed his chance to grab him when Honenuki quickly sank into the slushed ice. Thanks to the breather within his helmet, he swam through the mud underneath. Iida then placed his hand on the ice when it was solidified again, knowing that he will have an impossible chance to chase after Honenuki.
"That was amazing!" Diana cheered.
"He's even faster than Gran Torino with that new technique." Luna stated.
"Did you know about his improvement?" Aisha asked Selene.
"Not really, but I figured he would've worked hard to train and improve his Quirk to increase his speed in battle." Selene answered.
"Uh, girls." Diana said, pointing her finger at the monitoring screen. "Looks like Ojiro's in trouble."
Meanwhile, Ojiro continued brawling his tail against Kaibara's gyrating limbs. But he looked pretty worn out while trying to block his opponent's attacks. Kaibara's support item enabled him to deliver powerful punches and kicks with his spiraling limbs while resisting Ojiro's attacks and fragmenting his opponent's guard away altogether.
Kaibara performed a spinning roundhouse kick, which Ojiro managed to jump back and then used his tail to push himself forward. Ojiro then aimed his knees towards Kaibara, who blocked the attack with his support item on his gyrating arms and then pushed him back. But that wasn't gonna stop Kaibara, who punched his gyrating hands to attack Ojiro. But Ojiro continued evading and then clinged to the pipe with his tail. Kaibara punched his gyrating hand that generate vibrations through the pipe. The vibrations were strong enough to loosen the pipe and making Ojiro fall from his tail grip. Kaibara charged forward and prepared to his finishing blow the defenseless 1-A student in the back.
Suddenly, Iida rushed forward from the depths of the pipe maze. He immediately grabbed Kaibara and zoomed away. Kaibara began spinning around to break free, but his Quirk wasn't strong enough. Iida finally reached the jail cell and tossed Kaibara inside before closing the door behind him.
In the meantime, Shoto launched a wave of ice at Tetsutetsu. The iron fighter kept shattering through the ice barrage with his steel fists. Shoto released another wave of ice, but Tetsutetsu easily broke through it and landed a powerful blow on Shoto hard in the stomach, sending him flying in the air and to the ground. While Shoto recovered, Tetsutetsu began smashing through every single ice ridge that was generated.
Then suddenly, Shoto generated fire from his left side and unleashed a powerful a strong eruption of flames towards Tetsutetsu, covering the iron fighter entirely.
Tsunotori began running away from the fire, which freed Shoji from her horns and gave him the chance to pursue her.
Shoto stared at the flames with a hopeful look on his face. But his hopeful expression quickly went into bewilderment when his eyes caught the sight of Tetsutetsu stepping out through the fire with his steel body glowing bright burning red.
Tetsutetsu then charged towards Shoto and started punching him in the face with his red-hot fists. He then continued delivering more punches at his 1-A opponent.
"Tetsutetsu has Todoroki on the ropes and won't let him escape!" Vlad King reported. "Given their close promixty, Todoroki is unable to use any of his area attacks!"
Aisha, Diana, Luna, and Selene recoiled in shock as they watched Shoto receiving continuous jabs by Tetsutetsu.
Come on, Todoroki. You can do this. Aisha pleaded. You can win this.
Tetsutetsu then grabbed the hem of Shoto's shirt and lifted him up off his feet before drawing his fist back and punching his 1-A opponent hard in the stomach. Before Tetsutetsu could threateningly deliver his final blow, Shoto's left side was engulfed in burning flames, making the iron fighter back away from the heat.
Then, Shoto raised the heat temperature in higher degrees and unleashed a devastatingly powerful heatwave around the area. His firepower began increasing exponentially, engulfing the entire Ground Gamma in a raging sea of fire. Everything in the entire area was swathed in intense flames, melting the surrounding ice and causing all the security cameras to explode. At the same time, Shoto's flames began burning his skin.
With the cameras down, neither the students nor the teacher can watch the fight between Shoto and Tetsutetsu. But one security camera managed to survive and began recording the match.
Tetsutetsu blocked the heat temperature with his arms, knowing that it's too hot for him to get close to Shoto. But that doesn't stop him from backing down. Tetsutetsu charged forward, which Shoto aimed his left hand and released his flames all over Tetsutetsu. Thanks to his endurance, Tetsutetsu managed to grab a hold of Shoto's arm while his whole body was completely bounded by the fire. He then thrusted his knee directly into Shoto's stomach and began delivering knee thrust after knee thrust at him.
In the meantime, Tsunotori was surfing on her horns far away from Shoto's fire. Shoji kept pursuing her from behind. Tsunotori arrived into an open area and quickly landed on a platform before launching her four horns directly at Shoji, which then unleashed into a barrage of horns in rapid fire succession. But Shoji created dozens of arms on his tentacles and smashed the horn barrage with rapid blows all at once. As Shoji slowly began pushing forward, Tsunotori sneakily moved one of her horns directly behind Shoji. But Shoji swiftly caught it with one of his extra hands thanks to his tentacle eyeball that gave him eyes in the back of his head.
Suddenly, Ojiro jumped down towards Tsunotori from above. Tsunotori looked up and quickly fired two horns at him. But Ojiro swiftly spun his tail around in a circle, easily smashing the horns with it. He then grabbed Tsunotori's regenerative horns and wrapped his tail around her in place, restraining her from firing more horns.
Then all of a sudden, the entire ground started sinking Shoji, Ojiro, and a restrained Tsunotori down in a slushed manner.
Honenuki popped his head out of the ground and placed his hand on it, melting it away into quicksand and making his captive ally and his 1-A opponents lose their footing underneath. Shoji, Ojiro, and Tsunotori descended into the slushed ground, which allowed Honenuki to dive down into the softening field and swim towards a captive Tsunotori. Once Honenuki grabbed Ojiro's tail, but Ojiro began rotating around the softening ground with the strength of his tail. The powerful force of Ojiro's attack managed to loosen the ground and repel both Honenuki and Shoji away. Honenuki was sent flying backwards into one of the pipelines while Shoji quickly caught a steel beam. Shoji then quickly reached out his tentacle hand and grabbed Ojiro, trying to pull him and Tsunotori up out of the softening ground.
Out of nowhere, two of Tsunotori's horns emerged from the melted steel. They pierced straight into Ojiro's tail, making the tailed 1-A student endure the pain. Tsunotori then emerged two more horns and stabbed them into Ojiro's tail, which pushed Ojiro away out of Shoji's grip.
With the power of the four horns, Tsunotori carried Ojiro through the maze of pipeline. Her four horns slammed Ojiro straight inside the jail cell.
"Doesn't matter how she got him inside. If he's behind bars, then he's out." Vlad King smiled proudly.
Vlad King looked up at the scoreboard that showed one point on both group teams on the monitoring screen.
"Right now, it's one-to-one." Vlad King said.
Elsewhere, Shoto and Tetsutetsu kept battling each other out within a scorching inferno. Tetsutetsu swung a punch towards Shoto, who managed to block it with his arms. But they both noticed that their movements are starting to slow down. The heatstroke was already eating away their stamina, making them feel dizzy at the same time. Shoto then recompressed the blazing flames into his powerful fist and prepared to deliver a powerful punch at Tetsutetsu, who have returned to normal from his Quirk deactivation. But then, Shoto's strike attempt was suddenly interrupted when his foot started sinking into the ground.
Honenuki popped his head out from beneath the ground. His softening Quirk began loosening the surrounding constructions. A large piece of pipe fell straight on the back of Shoto's head, slowly knocking him unconsciousness. Before Honenuki can prepare to harden the ground, Iida appeared out of nowhere and swiftly delivered a powerful kick to Honenuki's face, destroying half of Honenuki's helmet. He then zoomed past Honenuki and dashed towards Shoto, picking his unconscious friend up in his arms.
For a moment, Iida looked at Tetsutetsu, who looked too battered to fight and could pass out any second. But he zoomed past Tetsutetsu and began carrying Shoto to safety with fast speed.
Honenuki wasn't ready to give up. Just before the state of unconsciousness took over, he slowly crawled towards the nearest industrial tank and placed his hand against it. He turned his head to Tetsutetsu, who quickly hardened himself into steel and stumbled toward it before headbutting the tank with all his strength.
The large industrial tank became softened and collapsed straight in the direction of 1-A's class president. Iida kept running away from the collapsing tank at full speed, but he wasn't able to escape in time. At the last moment, Iida tossed an unconscious Shoto out in the open. Then, the softened matter of the industrial tank crumpled right on top of him.
Class 1-A and Class 1-B students looked utterly stunned by the sudden turn of events on the monitoring screen.
"This is a fight." Vlad King said, clutching his microphone tightly.
The monitoring screen displayed four competitors are down for the count. Honenuki finally lost consciousness, making the industrial tower harden again. Shoto and Tetsutetsu were also completely unconsciousness. And Iida's still pinned down underneath the industrial tank and unable to move himself out of it thanks to the severe pain in his left leg and arms.
"The four of them are down!" Vlad King announced. "But they aren't out until they're in jail! What'll happen in the final moments?"
"Iida can't escape a little building that fell on top of them? It looks to me like the struggle with Kaibara had a big impact on him! Ha!" Vlad King smiled proudly. "He fought back the entire time, and boy, did it pay off! Good job, Kaibara! You're definitely the MVP of this round!"
Aisha, Diana, Luna, and Selene ignored Vlad King's annoying one-sided commentary as they were too focused their unconscious classmates on the monitoring screen.
"Oh man. This is crazy." Diana said.
"Both Class A and B competitors are down while each of one is in jail." Selene said.
"And there's only two active competitors in the match." Aisha said. "How's one of them gonna win?"
With four competitors defeated, Shoji and Honenuki are left to resolve the ultimate outcome of the match.
Honenuki was flying away from Shoji as fast as she can. Shoji chased after the 1-B student, but he wasn't fast enough to seize her. Honenuki quickly rushed towards three unconscious students and a trapped class president, firing off two horns to hook beneath her teammates' harnesses and carried them away. She then flew over to Shoto and picked him up in her arms before soaring up in the air. Shoji was charging towards Honenuki. He extended his Dupli-Arms straight at her, but Honenuki took off into the air with the four unconscious students high above the field.
Knowing that he's unable to reach them, Shoji realized exactly what Honenuki was planning to do. Honenuki's sensible option was to keep the four unconscious students over the buildings, which makes Shoji impossible to catch up to her from below.
After the thirteen seconds are up, the third Joint Training match was concluded. On the monitoring screen, Class A and Class B are tied the match with a 1-1 draw.
"Twenty minutes have passed!" Vlad King announced. "The third match is over! Each team put one person away, so we've got ourselves a draw!"
Luna, Selene, Diana, and Aisha stared at the monitoring screen with confused expressions.
"Hold on. What happened?" Diana asked. "She didn't even take Todoroki to jail. What's up with that? The whole idea is to throw the other team in training jail."
"But think about it." Luna explained. "She has to keep Todoroki knocked out to prevent him from wake up and use his fire or his ice on her in the sky. And as for her teammates, there's no way she could've left them behind, especially when Shoji could easily put them in jail.
"That way, both teams won't win nor lose this match." Selene added. "What a reasonable move for a strangely safe option."
"Since there are a number of round three students unconscious, we can review their performances later!" Vlad King announced. "Ger ready for the fourth match!"
Monoma started walking towards the Class 1-A students with a triumphant smile.
"Poor babies, your backs are up against the wall! Class A and B both have one win! Lose this round, and there's no way you can say you're better than us!" Monoma screamed in glee. "Oh, you've no idea how much I've been looking forward to this fantastic match up! Why, you ask? Because our beloved Tokage's in it! If I were Bakugo, I'd be pretty worried about now!"
Luna turned her attention to Tokage. The female 1-B student has dark moss green hair reaching just below her shoulders, large, upturned dusky green eyes with long lower eyelashes, and long and pointed teeth. She wore a purple, scaly bodysuit with a black belt around her waist with a yellow rectangular jewel embedded into the center and three-piece orange wrist-guards. She also wore a purple scaly mask over her eyes, black fingerless gloves, and black knee-high boots.
"Yes! Setsuna Tokage! The other student in Class B who got in through recommendations!" Monoma added. "She can be a real nasty piece of work!"
Can he be any more annoying? Luna, Diana, Selene, and Aisha sweatdropped.
On the monitoring screen, Team 1-A and Team 1-B headed out to their starting positions.
Luna noticed that Katsuki was grinning maniacally, knowing that he wanted her and Izuku to watch his Quirk potential in the fourth round.
Go get them, Bakugo. Luna thought with a smile.
"We'll start when everyone is in position!" Vlad King announced. "Fourth match! Prepare for battle!"
