Beryl crawled out of bed and dressed after her latest round of sex. She smirked down at him and the cocky look he had on his face. "Sex is all you're good for. You're a moron."

He shrugged, "Since the first time I fucked, I only ever tried to be good at one thing." He caressed her bare leg and said, "I succeeded."

"True," she agreed readily. She eyed the bite marks she left on him. "And you don't have any sexual hang-ups."

"My next order?" He asked. "I serve at your pleasure."

"Stay in bed. It's all you're good for. I'll be back later."

She then quickly dressed and walked out the door, shutting it behind her. Once she did, Jiji met her in the hall. "My next order? I serve at your pleasure," he parrotted, smirking at his joke.

She chuckled, entertained, and said, "You aren't an idiot. I have a different task for you."

"Sadly," he said in an amused tone. "It sounds like you're wild in bed."

She eyed him with humor. "Your 'harem' would be disappointed."

"I don't have a harem," he corrected. "It's a list —a long list."

"That it is," she said approvingly. "Use them to get off. I have a job for you."

He bowed, "As you command."

"Find out everything you can about Yamato, the coroner. I have a feeling he's our ticket to discovering who our enemy is."

"I know just who to call tonight. She's a policewoman at that station. I can pump her for information."

"Good. If there are any toys that you need, you can borrow them."

He shook his head, "She's into choking. I got that covered."

"Careful," Beryl warned. "No killing a policewoman. We don't want to draw attention right now."

He laughed, "She likes to choke me. We're good."

Beryl shook her head and laughed. "You might be my type after all."

It was the second meeting of The Order of Usagi, and Rick had just been elected as the family head. He blinked as he looked around the room at his family members. Every one of their right hands was in the air voting for him.

"Well, that just happened," he whispered, now wide-eyed.

Mamoru patted him once on the shoulder. "Surprising only you."

Rick looked at his friend. "You did this to me. You get we have that huge test coming up. Unlike you, I have to sleep. I have med school, and now I'm the head of the family."

Mamoru handed him a vial, "Vampire blood works wonders. Just ask me for the warnings later."

Once the meeting was over and many of the family members had tasks to complete in the next few days, Rick pulled Mamoru aside. "Warnings?"

"Either work really hard not to get turned on for six hours after you drink that or ensure that you have six hours you can spend extremely… turned on."

Rick placed his fingertips against his forehead. "You have to be kidding me."

"It can get you through a test or…"

"Or really impress a woman?!"

Mamoru chuckled, "Precisely."

Frowning, Rick said, "So drink it and focus on testing." He then added, "This actually works?"

"Ask Motoki." He then paused and said, "Well, he hasn't used it for testing yet. Nevermind."

"Please tell me you're kidding! Between you and me, that would be a horrible idea to ask him. It's his sister I have to stay away from when I drink this."

"Unazuki?"

Rick nodded. "She's hot as hell. Then, I got to talk to her the other day. She is funny and smart… Yeah, Unazuki."

Mamoru laughed, "Her mother used to have a thing about having a doctor in the family."

Scowling, Rick said, "You know that means she was trying to set up her daughter with you, right?"

Yuki, Reika's father and president of the Kanto branch of the Order of Van Helsing, handed Luna a stack of papers. "I was afraid of being hacked. I either wrote everything down or printed things from various computers that I would 'borrow' for a bit and then return."

Artemis sat down on the couch next to Luna and glanced at the stack of papers. "There's a lot here."

"My daughter was linked to the supernatural. It never felt like enough," he said sadly. He then sighed and sat in the armchair. "It wasn't enough to save her. But I'm hoping it's a good start for you. I hope I wasn't a complete failure."

"You didn't fail," Luna said, not looking up from the stack. "You kept her safe."

"Rei saved her. I'm glad, but I did nothing!"

Artemis rolled his eyes, "Stop the pity party. You're a grown-ass man. If you weren't involved, Reika would have been destroyed. You and your wife protected your daughter, and you brought her help. Get over yourself regarding the rest of it all. You're not an island, just like we aren't. You're part of a team." He pointed at the papers. "And you just gave an amazing hacker a butt-ton of information to go on."

Yuki looked chastened. "You're right. I spent over two decades in fear, and now she's safe. I need to get used to that idea. It's hard to assimilate that I can live without being afraid."

Luna stood and walked towards her office. "Time to get to work."

Joe stood in the most enormous apartment he had ever seen. He knew it was a penthouse. That was what he was told, at least. He looked down at the city as the last of the people coming over were arriving.

He didn't know what to make of his current circumstances. He was informed that he was safe repeatedly, but with his lineage, he could sense supernatural power, and two of the vampires in the room were off-the-charts powerful. As it was the weakest in the room was stronger than any being he had been around before. He didn't feel safe —not with his Yokai blood running through him.

"Hello," he heard, drawing him out of his own head.

Confused, feeling like he recognized the voice, he turned and said, "Motoki?"

"They thought having me here would help you feel at ease. Sorry, I didn't realize you were kidnapped. I thought you found different crane games to play."

Joe shook his head slightly, "There was no reason you should have known." He paused and then said, "You know them?"

Motoki pointed at Mamoru, "Picture him with a cup of coffee and a thick textbook. You should recognize Mamoru, too."

Turning to look at the man that terrified him, he said, "Yeah. I guess." He then stepped back. "When I saw you at the arcade, he felt different."

"Can you feel Vampires like I can?" Motoki asked.

It was Minako who answered instead. "No. Joe is part Yokai. It's pretty rare and very different. He can gauge power, too. It's why he's had difficulty looking at Usagi and Mamoru."

She laughed as Kunzite pulled her against him tighter. She could feel his discomfort rolling off him in waves. He had been incredibly jealous and upset when he saw her with a naked man.

Joe said, "And it's why I don't want to be here."

"Really?" Usagi asked. "We could let you leave right now. You're free to go. But how long will you make it out there? Your blood is worth a lot on the black market, as you well know."

"What do you want from me?"

Minako said, "Information. And then, as a thank you, you get to disappear."

Ami added, "We have an alias worked out for you and a location where no one knows what you are."

"Just don't cut yourself," Zoisite added. "That ruins your cover."

Nephrite scoffed, "Yeah, like that's easy."

Rei rolled her eyes and then concentrated, and her eyes glowed pink. She then reached out her hand towards Joe and chanted, and he began to glow pink too. "There. Even if he cuts himself, no one will smell your yokai blood on you. Just don't let anything actually drink your blood, and you're safe."

Joe asked, "What happened?"

"I'm a witch, and you're now cloaked from discovery. You're welcome."

He was confused and felt off-center from the conversation, but he started to tell them everything he remembered. After all, they all seemed crazy powerful, and that scared him. He didn't want to cross them. He felt honesty was his best route.
