Yusuke and Keiko were at the beach, during sunset again. "Yusuke," Keiko said, "about before, you read my diary. I assume you know how much pain I was in. I missed you, Yusuke." "I'm sorry," Yusuke said. "I didn't think you would be like that. I'm an idiot." Keiko turned her head away. "I don't know if I should take you seriously anymore." "But Keiko," Yusuke began, "I wrote something in that diary." "You did what?!" Keiko screeched. Keiko fished for her diary in her backpack, and flipped through the pages faster than Yusuke blinked. On one page she stopped on, she was flabbergasted. She started crying, as she placed the ring in her index finger on her right hand. "Oh, Yusuke," she said, jumping into his arms, "I love you." She kissed his lips, and Yusuke wrapped his arms around her. "But is there anything you missed about me while I was at the Demon World?" Yusuke asked. "At Sarayashiki Middle School," Keiko began, "when I went up to the roof, expecting you to be there, you weren't at times. I also realized you wouldn't be at the college I'm currently going to, either." Yusuke clenched his left fist. "I was and am still a fool." I should've known how you felt. But I always loved you, Keiko." "Yusuke, you're an idiot," Keiko said, punching Yusuke on the right arm lightly, "But that won't stop me from loving you. Even when you grope my bust, and peek at my panties, I still love you." "I love you too," Yusuke said before he cupped Keiko's cheeks, and stroke her long, brown hair. "Thank you, Yusuke," Keiko said, wrapping her arms around Yusuke. "Not just for the absolutely gorgeous ring, but for saving me from that guy." "But since you put the ring on," Yusuke said, feeling a bit uncertain, "will you marry me?" "What do you think, dumbass?" Keiko said, rolling her eyes. Yusuke smirked as he kissed his fiancée on the lips.

Yusuke's mother, Atsuko Urameshi, was shocked upon hearing what her son and his fiancée said at her house. "No way," she stammered. "My son is really getting married? To his childhood friend, too. Are you pulling my leg? You better tell your mother the truth right now." "No, mom," Yusuke said. "We're getting married, and that's final!" "But Yusuke, sweetie," Atsuko said, "do you want me to organize your wedding? I can do that." Yusuke shook his head horizontally. "No thanks, mom." Yusuke looked at the clock. "The wedding's going to start in a few hours," Yusuke said, as he started to leave his mother's house. "Take care, mom! I'll see you at the wedding!" Yusuke left the house, and Keiko followed her fiancé. "I'm too jittery right now," Atsuko said to herself. "A nice cup of sake will help calm me down. But just the thought of my lazy son finally marrying his childhood friend boggles my mind."

Yusuke and Keiko were at a park, all alone, talking. "Are you being serious, Yusuke?" Keiko asked. "Yes," Yusuke replied. "Why do you keep on asking me that?" A shady thug then approached them. "Hey Keiko!" He said. "Who's this punk touching you?" "That's my fiancé. He's also my childhood friend." The thug then said, "You're too close to her! Get lost!", but Yusuke grabbed the thug by his shirt. "You must be asking for a death wish, huh?" He snarled. "Let me go!" The thug yelped. "Listen here, pal. Beat it, or I will beat you!" Yusuke snapped. The thug missed his punch, and Yusuke threw his own, giving the thug a knuckle sandwich. "I now gotta ask, do you really want a piece of me?" The thug ran away, while Yusuke flicked him off and blew raspberries, while holding his left eye down. "You didn't have to do that," Keiko said pointedly. "I know how you feel," Yusuke said softly. "I can't have you endure that pain again." Keiko stared into Yusuke's chestnut colored eyes. "Yusuke," she began, "please just forget about it. I already accepted your apology. I accept your stupidity." Yusuke groaned. "You don't have to remind me I'm a idiot." "But you are," Keiko said. "sad part is, you're too stupid to realize it." "You're just like my mom," Yusuke said. "Always giving me a lecture that hurts my head." "Yusuke, I'm being serious when I say this. You're naive." "Just shut up," Yusuke said. "You're so annoying. But I love you, Keiko."

At the wedding after the kiss, Atsuko bursted into tears. "I'm so proud of you, my son!" She sobbed. Everyone else there was cheering. Subsequently, Keiko became a school teacher, while Yusuke became a sensei at his new dojo, called Urameshi Dojo, since Genkai helped him raise money.

After seven months, Yusuke and Keiko later had a daughter named Unmei. During Unmei's fourteenth birthday, Yusuke tried to teach Unmei the Spirit Gun, but she insisted accidentally destroyed the dojo. "Oh, Unmei," Yusuke said, "We're going to have to teach you to be a fighter like me. Minus the destroying the dojo, or buildings as a whole." Keiko then laughed. Unmei was good friends with Kuwabara and Yukina's daughter, Yokobu. One day, Unmei and Yokobu, who were sparring with their respective fathers powers, were at the beach during sunset. "I hope to be as good as my dad!" Unmei said. "One day, I'll beat you!" "In your dreams," Yokobu said. "But you know what, Unmei?" "What?" Unmei asked. Yokobu smiled. "We've got our gods and goddesses."
