The next day, Lynn was preparing for high school as Lori took her and Luke shopping. She bought them school books and clothes. Luke hissed and ran off.
"What now?" Lori asked as she and Lynn follow him.
"I swear I'm going to stop buying things for Luke if he just keeps running off." Lori says.
"If you're mean to him, I'm grounding you more." Charity says to Lori. "He was supposed to be with Remy and his friends on his poetry contest trip. But you forced Luke to go school shopping four weeks early!"
"He wanted to go? Then why make a farewell party if he wanted to go?" Lori asked.
"It's a week-long trip. Not for an ETERNITY." Charity finally snapped. "You forced him to stay!"
Meanwhile, Lucy was at home, frowning, missing Haiku. Luke appeared, mad at Lori as Charity dragged Lori inside, fuming.
"Hey, Luke, Ronnie Anne sent invitations. Her birthday is tomorrow, wanna go?" Lincoln asked. Luke sighed and nodded.
"Sure. Why not?" Luke says coldly.
"You're lying." Lincoln says, noticing his tone.
"He's mad right now, honey." Charity says.
"I can send Luke to France." Lisa says.
"Luke wants to hurt Lori." Lynn says
"Okay, that's not happening, why do you guys love violence?" Leni asked.
Luke teleported to France before anyone could say anything to him in a scolding manner.
Lincoln texted Ronnie Anne that Luke wasn't coming to her birthday or her skateboarding competition. Ronnie Anne understood why.
"No worries. Luke has to be there for his friend." Ronnie Anne says. "I'd do the same if it was Sid. Believe me."
Meanwhile, Cynthia was at her house, groaning. Hawk Moth attacked and she was tired. When she heard Luke was coming, she groaned, knowing that him being here was probably going to lead to the spotlight all on him and possibly multiple Luke parties since he has a knack for making the subject about him.
But she was wrong. Luke was here to support his friend Remy. It wasn't about him for once.
A bunch of fans see Luke and ran to him, wanting autographs since Luke was more famous than Remy. Remy felt hurt as Luke saw his tears.
"Not now, okay?" Luke says. "My friend is more important."
Most fans understand, seeing Luke's sensitive side.
Cynthia came up. "So out of all the places in Europe, France just had to be the host of this competition. Just my luck. After all, your friend Brandy is a magnet for trouble." Cynthia says.
"For once, I agree." Remy says, noticing Brandy had a knack for being a danger magnet.
"He's not here. He moved to Greendale." Luke says.
On the day of the competition, Luke was thinking of his birthday. But he surprised Remy with a special breakfast.
"Oh, my! What is this?" Remy says as he smiled at Luke.
"A breakfast for a star poet!" Luke says.
"Oh, wow! I feel special!" Remy says.
"Anyway, I gotta get prepared." Remy says, eating as Haiku came in.
"Good luck, love." Haiku says to Remy and noticed Mugman walking by.
"What the?" Haiku asked.
"Yeah the top 3 got to go, but you're not competing because you're just here to support Remy." Luke says.
"Yeah." Haiku says. "I think supporting Remy makes this easier for me. Even if I'll never be a great poet like him."
Mugman was stress cracking, knowing he'd lose. He was here alone, but that didn't stop him from coming.
"A moving cup in Paris…" Chloe asked as she was walking by. "He looks utterly ridiculous." She says and gets in her limo.
"Hey, um, I don't know who you are, but don't listen to her." a girl with pink pants and a white shirt and blue hair with pigtails says.
The competition began hours later.
Mugman was stress cracking as he didn't like being teased and was unconfident about this, plus, he accidentally tripped, spilling milk on Chloe, so Chloe was mad.
"Don't worry, Mugsy, I got your back." Cuphead says.
Haiku checks on Remy. Remy was warming up his voice.
"Hey, um, is there an Oliver Fox here?" Adrien asked. He had blond hair and wore a nice shirt.
"Right here. Oh, hey, Adrien." Oliver says.
"Hey, Oliver, long time, no see!" Adrien says.
"You two know each other?" Cynthia asked, having been standing behind Oliver.
"Yeah, I was his model last year." Adrien said.
Soon, Mugman goes to read his poem. Cuphead smiled at him.
"This 3 day competition is getting good." Mugman says.
Remy soon gets ready. He felt a little nervous as he flipped through his competition book.
Haiku walked towards him.
"Yes, Haiku?" Remy says.
"Are you okay?" Haiku asked.
"Everyone else here is just so good…" Remy says. "What if I'm not good enough?"
"You are good enough. I know you are." Haiku says.
Remy smiled and kissed Haiku before he went on.
Zoe finds Mugman.
"Um, hello, I'm Zoe." She says.
"What can I do for you?" Mugman asked.
"I came to apologize on my half-sister's behalf." Zoe says.
"It's quite all right." Mugman says.
Remy was reading on stage as everyone hung on to his lyrical style of poetry.
"Amazing…" the mayor says
"Wow, he's good." Alya says, watching.
"He is indeed wonderful." Haiku says.
Remy soon finishes as the crowd cheers.
Lucy watched on TV. She couldn't believe Remy was that good.
"I'm never going to be a good poet." Lucy says, jealous.
"You want him to lose, don't you?" Lynn says.
"I-I…" Lucy stammered.
"I know you were only coming to the party that night to ruin Remy's reputation. You couldn't be happy for him." Lynn says. "You were being bitter. Just admit it."
"Fine, I am." Lucy says.
"Why do you want him to lose? Just so you can have Haiku all to yourself?!" Lynn shouted.
"He stole my dream." Lucy says.
"And? It's only ONE poetry slam. There will be others. You can't be bitter because Remy won." Lynn says. "Oh, and Mom found out that you almost stole his competition poetry book before the trip. So you're in big trouble."
"I'm sorry! I can't help feeling bitter everyone called me a freak or a lonely girl" Lucy says
"That's it, we're going to find those girls." Lynn says. "And apologize to Remy."
They arrive at the house as the girls run.
"I think that they got the message." Lynn says.
"I can't go. Cuphead is in France." Lucy says.
"He forgot who you were. No worries." Lynn says.
Lucy winced from getting used to forgotten, just like how her siblings treated her.
"Now you're apologizing to Remy!" Lynn says. "Or I tell Mom what you did to his other poetry books."
Lucy later began to call him, waiting for him to pick up.
"Hello?" Remy says.
"Um, this is Lucy and I want to apologize for everything." she says.
"Like what? Almost ruining my reputation? Almost stealing from me because of how spiteful you were toward me at my party?!" Remy shouted into the phone.
Lucy nods. "Yeah, I am."
"You hate me!" Remy shouted. "To you, I'm just a dream-stealer!"
Hawk Moth sees this.
"A person filled with anger due to sabotaging such inspiration." he says and sends an Akuma to Remy's poetry book.
"Poetry King, I am Hawk Moth and I give you the power to make your poems a reality. All I need in return is the Miraculous of ladybug and Cat noir" Hawk Moth says
"It will be done." Remy says.
Remy was now wearing a cool silver crown and dark green cape as people began to run away from him.
"What the?!" Haiku asked.
"Remy?" Luke asked.
Remy wrote a poem to bring Lucy to him.
"What the?" Lucy asked but a yo-yo hit Remy.
"Okay, let the girl go." Ladybug says as Cat Noir came.
"Oh, poetry…I've been working on a purrfect poem for you…" he says as Alya was recording.
Lucy goes to hide. "This is all my fault…" she says, watching the battle.
Remy flew up.
"And now he can fly." Cat noir says as Remy reads a poem about chains as Ladybug and Cat Noir avoid the chains.
"Okay, where is the Akuma?" Cat Noir asked.
"It's got to be in his book." Ladybug says "Lucky Charm!"
She got a present in response.
"A present?" Cat Noir asked as Ladybug thinks.
Ara Ecarlette arrived.
"Sorry I'm late and…oh, no! I think I may know what to. do give me the present." She says as Ladybug nodded.
"I'll destroy the book. Cataclysm!" Cat Noir says and goes for an attack, but Remy wrote a poem, gluing him to the ground.
"Uh-oh…" Cat Noir says.
"Take his Miraculous on his finger…" Hawk Moth says.
"Wait, stop! I'm sorry, I truly am." Lucy says, holding the gift.
Remy opened it and suddenly glue went in his face as Ladybug grabbed the book and tossed it to Cat Noir, who destroyed it. Ladybug captured the Akuma and restored everything to normal.
"Again, I'm really sorry." Lucy tells Remy.
"Okay, what is going on, anyway?" Ladybug asked as Lucy explained everything.
"That wasn't nice, but next time, you can talk to others." Ladybug says.
"Okay." Lucy says.
"Pound it!" the 3 heroes say, fist bumping and leaping off.
"I can't believe you did that." Haiku says.
Remy just knelt next to his destroyed book and wept.
Thankfully, the book was restored, thanks to Ladybug.
"Remy, are you going to forgive me?" Lucy asked. Remy didn't know what to say or think about any of this.
"I can't believe I didn't do anything." Luke says, stunned. He just let that all happen.
"It was shocking." Garrett says.
Luke goes to Remy. He just watched Remy go back to the competition in silence.
The winner was going to be announced as Remy stood on stage. A random person got 3rd place and 2nd place went to Mugman.
"And the winner of the international poetry competition is Remy Estevez!" The head judge says. Remy smiled, but soon saw his friends leaving him. He sadly accepted his prize and headed back to his hotel. He went into his hotel room and cried for an hour.
There was a knock on the door. It was Marinette and her friends.
"What?" Remy sniffed, shedding tears.
"Are you okay?" Marinette asked.
"My friends left me. My victory is bittersweet." Remy sniffed.
"We saw. That was rough." Cynthia says.
Remy sobbed. "They don't like me anymore!" He sniffed.
"Maybe they will come back. Maybe they'll come back with a present…" Rose says.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies saw this on TV.
"That all happened without us? Huh, about time." Emila says and nearly blasted the TV, but Savannah stops her.
Remy sobbed and threw off his gold medal. "Bittersweet victory!" He shouted into his pillows.
Cynthia thinks of an idea. She didn't know some of Luke's friends were easy to depress. It was only a matter of time before Hawk Moth got to him.
"Why don't we celebrate your victory?" Cynthia says.
"Yeah, we can totally do that." Adrien says.
"How?" Remy sniffed. Cynthia texted Haiku.
Haiku sets up a party in the park as she uses magic. The others got gifts and balloons as Marinette asked her parents for pastries.
Haiku texted Luan, asking for her help.
"My friends don't like me a-anymore…" Remy sniffed.
Soon, they finished.
"Nice…Hey you wanna hang out sometime?" Juleka asked the younger goth, who nodded.
"I will get Remy." Haiku says. Remy sees Haiku.
"I have a surprise for you." Haiku says.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies find Luke and the others.
"You got a lot of nerve, ditching Remy!" Bill says as Alex nodded.
"How could you?! You are some horrible friends…" Reilly says.
"I had a photoshoot, my cheerleading photoshoot, and uniform measurements…" Luke says.
"Really? And you call us horrible." Alem tuber says.
"You ditched him after he was crowned the winner." Alex says.
"All that stuff you wrote in his 'good luck' frame must be lies now!" Savannah says.
"He hurt Lucy." Luke says.
"So that's why? Huh, I get that." Jason says.
"But you're still horrible for ditching him!" Reilly says. "That wasn't Remy who hurt Lucy!"
"Luke?" Lucy asked.
"What?" Luke says.
"I need your help." She says "I need to make things right. I need money."
"How do you plan to make things right with Remy? We're the ones who ditched him when we said we were on his side." Luke says, ashamed. Lucy sighed.
Later, Haiku and Remy arrived.
"Congratulations, Remy!" Everyone says. Remy gasped at the sight of this.
The cosmic buddies forced Luke and his friends to be there. Remy looked away from them, sniffling.
"Remy, I wrote a poem." Lucy says and reads an apology poem, before giving him a new poem book.
"Th-Thanks…" Remy says to Lucy. He then glared at Luke and the rest of his friends.
"You haven't been acting like my friends!" Remy says to them.
"Yeah, that was uncool." Jukela says.
"Yeah, you need to apologize." Luka says.
Remy sniffed. "You left when they announced me as the winner!" Remy sobbed angrily.
"Wait till your mom hears this, Luke. You will be sorry…" Haiku says.
"So everything you wrote in the frame…was all lies!" Remy sobbed.
Luke feels guilty. "It wasn't. I'm sorry I ditched you" he says.
"Yeah, you acted like Chloe, Luke." Cynthia says.
"Who?" Emila asked.
"Spoiled brat who cares for no one. Luke, you don't want to end up like her." Marinette says.
"Remy, we really are sorry." Garrett says.
"Well…" Remy thinks. "Okay, fine. It still hurt me to know you never cared about my poetry contest victory, though…"
"Do you think poetry is boring?" Lucy asked.
"They obviously think mine is!" Remy says.
"It kinda is." Lola says.
Remy stormed off.
"Remy!" Haiku says.
The party soon started without Remy as Remy was on a bench, tearing his book apart.
Haiku stopped him. "Come on, I sent Lola home. This is your night." She held Remy's hands.
"Everyone hates my poetry, so I will tear it apart and throw it out!" Remy cries.
"Please don't. I think you're good." Lucy says.
"You don't mean that…" Remy sniffed.
"I do. My siblings may not care for poetry, but you are better than me and I should accept that." Lucy says "I thought about it and I think I'll quit. If Luke or my siblings don't care for my poetry, then there is no reason to keep doing poetry. But don't give up, Remy. Haiku needs you and I want Haiku to be happy." Lucy says.
Remy grabs the book and starts to tear it. His mom stops him.
"Sweetheart, please don't do that to your brilliant work…" Victoria says.
Remy stopped, then noticed Lucy leaving.
"Lucy…" Haiku says.
"I'm sorry." Lucy says.
"For what?" Haiku asked.
"Hurting Remy." She says.
"It's okay. I think he's still hurt by the fact no one likes his work aside from his mom and us." Haiku says.
Remy comes back to the party.
Luan began to do another mime act for Remy. Remy laughed, feeling a bit better.
Then Luke performed a song for Remy. Remy smiled at this.
Later, Tabby performed a song for Remy. She had been on tour. Remy liked the song.
After a while, Remy danced as he was really happy. Haiku watches him.
He then tried some pastries. They tasted good to him.
"Hey, Remy! We need our keyboardist!" Luke says. "We're premiering a song at this party!"
Remy grinned and joined his friends as they performed "Makes Me Happy", which featured Remy doing an astounding keyboard solo.
Everyone loved it, and Haiku smiled at Remy, glad to see him happy again.
Later, it was piñata time. Haiku set up the piñata as Remy stood, ready to break it. A few minutes later, Remy cracked the piñata open, sending candy flying.
Oliver took his own candy and walked off. He was very upset.
"What's wrong?" Cynthia asked. Oliver said nothing.
"Is it your birthday?" Cynthia asked.
"It was! 3 weeks ago!" Oliver snapped before storming off. Cynthia sighed and groaned.
"Come on, Let's go decorate for your boyfriend…." Kali says teasingly as the Adventure Kids leave Remy's party to decorate for him.
Remy sees a very angry Oliver.
"What's wrong now? This is my day." Remy asked.
"I know. I know this is your day. I'll just let you have it. I don't need anything. Really." Oliver says.
"Okay, we gotta do something. A missed birthday leads to akumazation…" Marinette says.
"So design a birthday party tomorrow. Will he even be around?" Alix asked.
"Have you seen him? He's considering staying here full-time" Adrien says.
"I know, Oliver can be the 3rd partner." Luke says.
"He's staying in France." Lucy tells him. "Unless he can be persuaded to go back home."
"No way! He loves Cynthia." Garrett says.
"So he won't be in high school with us…" Luke says sadly.
Meanwhile, the Adventure Kids were getting gifts.
"Well, we're going to celebrate tomorrow." Cynthia says, yawning.
At Remy's party, the cake was being cut as everyone took their share of it.
Remy ate his cake in a tree house, looking over the view. He sees Oliver walking around. He frowned, feeling bad for him. He then pulls out his book and begins to write.
"Hey, Oliver I have a surprise for you" Luke says, having set up a party for him.
He leads him to a restaurant.
"Happy birthday, Oliver!" Luke's friends say. Oliver turned away and sniffed.
"Oliver, come on, I had to set up multiple parties this month. My siblings won't let me have a day, plus, I got you this." Luke says. giving Oliver a magic hat for a gift with a wand.
"Oh, gosh!" Oliver says.
Garrett got him new cheerleading outfits.
"I like this a lot, but, guys, I'm staying here..." Oliver says.
Gabriel approached him.
"Son, maybe after high school, you can live here. You can't spend the rest of your life here." Gabriel says. "It isn't like you don't have teleportation powers for nothing."
"True…" Oliver says.
Later, Luke performed for Oliver. Remy smiled as he arrived.
"I have written something just for you, Oliver." Remy says as he begins to read it.
Oliver loved the poem.
Meanwhile, the Adventure Kids couldn't believe Luke had a party for Oliver and didn't want them around.
"Don't worry, Luke will let us in." Bill says
"Sorry you're not on the list. Luke specifically didn't want this party ruined and you heroes have a knack for bringing trouble." The guard says as Emila used a sleeping spell on him.
"Luke…" Cynthia hissed under her breath. Later, Luke shows a clip from 3 years ago about Oliver humiliating Emila in a magic contest as Emila leaves the party.
Oliver sees the clip and smiles.
Oliver and Cynthia danced as Nino was the DJ. Oliver smiled at Cynthia.
"So, what is cheerleading like at your school in Royal Woods, Ollie? Is it hard?" Cynthia asked. He shrugged.
"What's the name of your high school team?" Nino asked.
Oliver explained everything about Royal Woods.
"Maybe we could beat Hawk Moth." Randy says, drinking soda as Brandy shrugged.
While that happens, Lucy works on a new poem outside. She needed to be better.
"Go, Rocket Squirrels!" Alya says inside. This caught Lucy's attention as she was getting annoyed and wanted to focus. She took off running.
Oliver opens his dad's gift, and he smiles when he sees it's a new winter outfit for school, with a matching hat and a monogrammed jacket.
"Thank you!" Oliver says and hugs his dad.
Gabriel hugged back and smiled.
Oliver opened Adrien's gift and grinned. "Paris Fashion Week for junior designers?! Ahhhh!" Oliver was excited.
"Yeah, invite him, but not me…" Cynthia says with a bit of sarcasm.
"You can come." Oliver says.
Jason got Oliver a nice pair of ice skates as he was joining the school's figure skating team this year.
Meanwhile, Leni was making Luke's birthday suit, then remembered Halloween.
She decided to work on costumes. She wanted Luke's "Element King" costume to be perfect.
Lucy came home as Leni looked worried about her.
"What's wrong?" Leni asked Lucy.
Lucy confessed everything, feeling guilty about what she did.
"I know you're sorry." Leni says.
"I am and most people find poetry boring, even Luke." Lucy says. "Him leaving Remy confirmed it."
"I don't think he left Remy because of that." Leni says. "I know he left Remy because he had something to do. Luke doesn't think poetry is boring. He didn't say it outright, so he doesn't hate it."
Lucy had to smile at this.
"Do you think I'm a good poet?" Lucy asked. Leni nods.
"I do." Leni says.
"Better than Remy?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, you wanna watch VOM?" Leni asked.
Lucy smiled a bit and watched with Leni.
With Oliver, there was a piñata. Remy grinned and handed Oliver his bat.
Oliver smirked and hit it, sending candy everywhere. Oliver's huge grin spread as everyone took their share.
"So, when did you move here?" Oliver asked.
"About a year ago." Cynthia says.
Oliver smiled.
"Good luck with your cheerleading and figure skating stuff." Cynthia says to Oliver with a smile. "I made you some skating outfits."
"Thanks." Oliver says, kissing Cynthia.
"Think of me when you wear them, but do concentrate on your skating, too." Cynthia says.
"I will." Oliver says.
Soon, it was time for Oliver's 15th birthday cake. Luke came out with the cake he baked, a marble cake with a toy version of Oliver ice skating on it with the words "Happy 15th Birthday To A Future Pro Figure Skater & Singer, Oliver Fox!" in green icing. 15 green candles were placed around the cake. Oliver was speechless.
Luke took a picture of Oliver for his party book and because his dad wanted a picture of his reaction to the cake.
The room soon filled with singing as Oliver smiled. He had never felt so happy.
"Make a wish! Make a wish!" A lot of the guests soon chanted to Oliver.
He wished to win ANH as he blew out all 15 candles. Everyone cheered for him and got their fair share of the cake.
Soon, it was time for everyone to go their separate ways.
Angry Luigi looked a bit confused as Remy offered his hand to him.
"You wanna be friends with Brandy?" Savannah asked.
"Possibly." Remy says as Angry Luigi shakes his hand. He leaped and jumped on a trampoline and raised his fist up as fireworks rose up.
It said "Happy 15th Birthday, Oliver!" as Oliver smiled.
"It was fun." Kali tells Luke.
"So, I guess you're off to go on adventures." Luke says.
"Nope, I'm not going on any adventures." Angry Luigi says.
"But we are!" Kali says. "Come on, our next adventure awaits!" With that, the leader rushed off. Her friends and siblings wave at Luke as Cynthia thinks about it and looks at the screen.
"I don't get paid enough for this." Cynthia says and runs after them.
"So, when are you coming home?" Luke asked Remy.
"We're all heading home. The competition is over and I miss my bed and my sea salt baths." Remy says.
"You think he knows Aquaman?" Alya joked a bit.
"Maybe." Stephen says. Remy soon had to explain what a sea salt bath was.
"Take care of yourselves!" Marinette says.
"Remember what I taught you!" Juleka tells Haiku, who smiles.
"Now for my magic trick!" Oliver says.
But Bill came with his plane as Angry Luigi was sitting on the wing
"First class all the way!" Luke says. Everyone got in Bill's plane as they flew off toward home.
