Author's Notes:
I wrote this fanfic for Halloween. It is a "self-insert", which is a fic in which the author intervenes directly.
This fic has been created in collaboration with Novelai, which is like a word processor but with artificial intelligence, with which you can create fanfiction, among other things.
The parts in bold are the ones I wrote and the rest is the work of Novelai. This has been an experiment to see how Novelai handled when writing fanfics. I had a great time writing it and I want to share it with you.
I hope you like it:

A Halloween story - Fanfic written with the collaboration of Novelai xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The Doctor and Rose are walking down a London street, when suddenly the sky is covered in black clouds, lightning illuminates the sky and thunder explodes with fury.
-What is this? – Rose asks, as she takes the Doctor's hand.
-I don't know – he says – but we must find shelter, a storm may be approaching.
They both rush to find a place to shelter but, before they can find shelter, it starts to rain.
They feel the rain on their faces, it feels warm, it feels sticky and they discover with horror that what is raining is not water, but blood.
-No...this is not possible – says the Doctor - NO!
-Doctor, what is it? – Rose asks, unable to contain her terror.
But, the worst was yet to come.
Suddenly, parts of human bodies begin to fall: arms, legs, heads and other parts around them.
-It can't be - the Doctor whispers - NO, NO, NO!
-What does this mean? – Rose shouts, as they retreat until they collide with the wall of a house.
Then, in front of the Doctor, at his feet, the head of a baby, barely a month old, falls.
His eyes are closed and his mouth is open in an expression of fear and pain.
-My God! – says the Doctor.
-Doctor? – Rose asks, trembling and with her voice choked with fear.
The Doctor looks at the baby's head and feels deep rage and despair.
-This...this can't be happening – he whispers-THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!
He picks up the baby's head and looks at him with sadness, compassion and pain.
-I'm sorry- the Doctor whispers with tears in his eyes -I'm so sorry...I'm sorry.
Suddenly the eyes in the baby's head fly open, staring at the Doctor.
The Doctor shudders, looking the head in the eyes.
-This is not possible – he says, holding him.
Suddenly an agonizing cry escapes from the mouth of the baby's head.
Rose can't help but scream.
The Doctor puts the baby's head on the floor and runs to Rose, hugging her tightly.
-Calm down, calm down - he says in her ear - Everything is fine, don't be scared, I'm here, I'm here, everything will be fine, calm down.
The Doctor continues to calm her down, until she stops crying.
But then all the heads open their eyes and start screaming in agony.
-Ahhhhhhhh!
Rose starts crying again.
-Calm down – says the Doctor – Calm down!
The screams get worse and heartbreaking wails, cries and screams begin to be heard.
-Doctor – says Rose, with her eyes closed – Please, make it stop, make it stop.
-I can't - says the Doctor, holding Rose tightly against him - I can't.
Then the legs and arms begin to writhe on the floor. While the hands and feet crawl on the floor, like ghoulish spiders.
-This is not real – the Doctor tells Rose – This is not real.
-Doctor, don't leave me – she tells him between sobs.
The body parts approach them, surround them, stalk them, while the rain of blood continues to increase.
"I won't, I won't leave you," the Doctor answers, squeezing Rose tightly, while one of the hands tries to grab her ankle.
The Doctor pushes it away with his foot.
"I will not leave you, I will never leave you," he says, while an arm tries to take her hand, he pushes it away too.
One hand jumps to Rose's neck, another to the Doctor's.
The Doctor tries to get away from it but, in the struggle to free himself from it, he releases her from his embrace.
-DOCTOR! – Rose shouts, while the hands grab her ankles and take her away from the Doctor.
-NOOOOO! – He shouts, trying to reach her, but two of the arms grab him and hold him back.
-DOCTOR!
-ROSE!
Rose is terrified, screaming and writhing, as the hands slowly drags her towards a pool of blood forming next to her.
-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! – Rose screams desperately, while she begins to cry bitterly, she tries to escape from them, but the hands do not let go.
The Doctor calls out to her in desperation, struggling against the hands holding him down.
Wow, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I think I've gone too far, didn't I?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, LET THEM GO!
Then, suddenly, the rain of blood stops.
Rose and the Doctor are in the middle of the street, covered in blood, with rain falling around them, although it is now normal rain.
And the hand that grabbed Rose lets her go.
Rose and the Doctor sigh, and then carefully move closer to hug each other.
Are you okay?- a female voice asks.
Rose and the Doctor startle and look around, but there is no one there.
-Who are you? – asks the Doctor, looking for the owner of the voice.
Are you okay? – the voice insists, but, still, there is no one.
-Yes, yes, thank God, yes – the Doctor answers.
I am very sorry for the bad time I have put you through.
-Okay – the Doctor answers - Who are you?
-What do you mean by "bad time"? – Rose asks, looking around curiously, looking for the owner of the voice.
Well, I am the cause of the rain of blood, the rain of bodies and everything else.
-What?! – exclaims the Doctor - Are you the one behind all this?
Well, I'm the author of this fanfic, so yeah.
-It just can't be! – Rose exclaims – How is it possible that you, the author, attack us like that?
I'm really sorry, I wanted to write something scary for Halloween, but I think it went a bit too far.
-A bit, she says - says the Doctor, looking at Rose - I'm bathed in blood, my girl was crying, no, rather she was screaming and they were about to put her in a large pool of blood.
Yeah, I think I overdid that scene.
-DAMN YOU! – says Rose, indignant, crossing her arms – I could have had a panic attack!
So, have you been scared?
-Of course yes – answers the Doctor.
Brilliant! That means my story is good.
-No, it's not brilliant - the Doctor answers - Besides, it's wrong, you can't attack us like that, something bad could have happened to us.
Don't worry, I plan to give it a good ending.
-Are you going to continue it?! – Rose asks surprised – But why?!
Well, because Halloween is right around the corner and I need to finish it before then. After writing it I have to polish it, correct possible spelling or grammatical errors, etc. I don't want to do it quickly and rushing.
-I don't think that's a good idea- the Doctor says, as he runs a hand through Rose's hair.
We'll see.
-What do you mean "we'll see"?!-Rose shouts.
Don't worry, I plan to give it a happy ending.
-Well, we need it- says the Doctor.
Well, if there are no more objections, come on, let's get into position.
Yes, I mean you, arms, heads, hands and so on, get into position. Continue where you left off, dragging Rose towards the pool of blood.
-Oh no! – says the Doctor.
Rose starts crying again.
-DOCTOR, NOOO!-Rose shouts.
-ROSE, HOLD ON!-the Doctor shouts.
Don't worry, don't worry, it will have a happy ending, you'll see.
-It's not very noticeable, you know? – says the Doctor, hugging Rose.
-Don't worry, Rose, everything will be fine-he whispers in her ear.
The hands grab Rose again, and try to carry her away.
-NOOOOOO!-Rose screams.
-ROSE!
The hands begin to drag Rose towards the pool of blood and just as she reaches it she discovers that it is not blood, but cherry punch and it is not a puddle but a large punch bowl where she has fallen.
-What? – says Rose, looking down.
-Rose? – says the Doctor.
-This... is not blood – Rose says, surprised, as the hands let go of her.
And suddenly all the body parts that were on the floor have been dressed up for the occasion. The heads are disguised as mummies, the hands and feet are disguised as spiders, and the arms and legs are disguised as snakes.
-What's happening here? – asks the Doctor, seeing the body parts, which are now disguised.
The heads laugh and chat animatedly, the hands and feet dance, and the arms and legs crawl happily.
-I'd say it's obvious - says Rose, looking at the contents of the punch bowl - It's Halloween!
Exactly. Thank you very much for participating in my fanfic and in gratitude, you can eat as many sweets as you want.
And it rains again, but this time it is not blood but cherry punch and now what falls are not body parts but typical Halloween sweets: witch fingers made with cookies and almonds, chewy gum eyes filled with strawberry syrup, small chocolate pumpkins, etc.
-Wow, she wasn't so bad after all, was she?- Rose says and laughs as the Doctor puts a hand to his face.
-No, she wasn't, thank you – the Doctor tells her.
Thanks to you two, you are incredible, you are great, thanks for so many hours of adventures, thanks for being the best.
And now, enjoy! Happy Halloween!
-Happy Halloween, Author!-say the Doctor and Rose.
The End
